Wish it could be 5 stars, but I think 4 is totally fair. Especially only doing the arcade/eatery...the older kids did the golfing which is fine (the ball starts still need to be improved). Didn't do the batting cages but they seems pretty standard. It was a good time for all ages! I will say that I'm sort of bewildered at the chicken strips???I swear they came out of the fryer still raw, but they say they're already fully cooked, then frozen?? All 3 fingers were damn-near pink!? The burgers are a great size though! We got the cheeseburger to replace and it was way bigger than expected! Especially for little kids, so that was nice. Took a bit for food to come out but they were probably busy and . . . Well I'm not too sure what would take so long - there were plenty of staff working thre kitchen/snack area, so . . .?

Great spot for a family outing or a friends birthday event. The golf courses are well maintained and entertaining, there’s a few courses you can take and they intertwine around the outside of the castle. Inside the castle is an arcade with new VR games. My 2 year old son enjoyed playing Space Invaders and sitting in the Race Cars. For $25 you can get $30 worth of play. For $100 you can get $150 worth of play. Tickets won are kept on the same card you use to play games with. In the end we got a few prizes like some squishy spheres, a sticky hand and a bouncy ball. No outdoor food or drinks allowed but they do have snacks and beverages for sale like sun chips and Gatorade. Super friendly staff members, clean bathrooms and I’ve never had a problem finding parking out front. There are gazebo you can rent out for parties. The batting cages out front look fun and fling balls at speeds ranging from 60-90 mph.

They are very popular even with COVID Retrictions. There is a pretty long line and parking is hard to find. They have a 50mph baseball range, arcade, and golf courses. There are four(?) different courses I believe, Red, Green, Purple, Blue. Each has 18 holes and is really fun. We did the Green course and it was a blast. The place sanitized things well and social distancing is easy if you are patient and wait for the next hole like normal and don't crowd people. No party size limit as far as I can tell. They stopped taking people for the golf course after 8:30pm. Only 4 stars because I wish they offered drinks or food. I can see why they don't cause COVID and also it would make the arcade very messy. It gets a little chilly too so bring a jacket. No reservation, only walk in and the line is looooong. Lastly, the arcade prizes weren't anything worthwhile but some of the games looked interesting and fun.

I still remember coming to Castle Park (Sherman Oaks) for the 1st time as a 15 year old teenager Spring 1984. Decades later, only a few things have changed. 1. Classic arcade/pinball games are long gone. A. Majority of games are kiddie ticket games which is perfect for my 2 year old nephew. B. To play games you must have/buy a game card. Quarters/Tokens that were in yester year are not accepted. 2. Batting cages still there. 3. Miniature Golf with 4 courses still there. 4. Food court & souvenir station still there. 5. Free Parking (Small & Limited). Overall...Castle Park (Sherman Oaks) is a great place to take your family; especially with young kids for wholesome entertainment.

The miniature golfing was fun and challenging. The games inside were up to date and very entertaining. I played a virtual reality game called “RAID” and it got the heart pounding. We were confused at first but Alexa came to our rescue and helped us throughout the whole experience. She was very helpful and nice so big props to her. Michelle was helpful as well with getting a lanyard for the gaming card we purchased so my girlfriend’s son wouldn’t lose it. Overall we had a great time. Bring at least $100 and some comfy shoes because you will be standing a lot. I will definitely come back for the batting cages!

My dad used to bring us here as kids, and we came as teens, too. This past weekend, my dad brought my two sons and I for a birthday - and it was just as good as I remember it! While many such places are run down and a shadow of their former glory, this place has been well-kept and is in great shape. It's far better than Boomers and other such places. We did mini golf course #1 because it was midday and it has the most shade. It was a fun and somewhat challenging course, challenging enough to keep it interesting. I recommend Castle Park! Go have fun!

This is a great place to hang out with the kids. They have 3 courses with 18 holes each and they are all fun to do with the family. This place gets pack. I went at around 3pm on a Sunday and the window line to rent the golf clubs was empty. Two hours later when we were about to head out to the game room the line was about 30 people long. Inside the food court was closed, but all the games were open to play. They have some new and pretty cool huge games on the floor. I've been coming here for the past 20 years, and they always keep this games updated. Its a fun place to be. Gold is about $7 per adult and $6 for kids.

  • Elizabeth Groves

They should bring back the whole food court area. They would make more money, especially during the summer camp months! The employees are not rude, but they also don't really acknowledge the fact that there are customers there that may need assistance. They are unwelcoming. The whole time we were there, we did not have anyone say hello, can we help you, etc. They all only spoke if they had to. The kids had a fun time though, so that is all that matters, but a little customer service etiquette training wouldn't hurt.

Best place for an easy date idea. The mini golf really got me and my gf talking as it's an easy going type of thing, especially when we made it funny and kept trying to mess each other up when it was each other's turns. The arcade is so much fun, I spent $100 on arcade card for me and my gf and we still had enough for the next day to bring my son, it was so much fun my son loved it too. We want to go try the batting cages next

Very fun place. Can get a bit crowded. I think the mini golf is a fairly good price, there are three different courses, from beginner, to experienced. But when you hit the arcade, that's when it becomes a bit pricey. Everything is on a card, so you basically get a game card with the money on it, swipe it at the games, and all the tickets go onto your card, so when it's time to redeem, you take it to prize counter so they can scan it to see how many tickets you have, then have at it with the prizes. Very family friendly for all ages!

Recently, I visited friends in the Valley in Los Angeles. While my friend went to work, I needed something fun to do during the day that was reasonably close by. After doing a Google Search, I found Sherman Oaks Castle Park. Sherman Oaks Castle Park has three 18-hole mini-golf courses, a video game arcade Parking is plentiful and free and right off the 405 and 101 freeway interchange. If you have a few hours to kill and want an entertaining time outdoors while visiting LA, Sherman Oaks Castle Park is worth a visit.

  • Brandon Beining

They have three courses for mini golf and we had a great time! We waited about 20 minutes for our clubs but it was a Saturday night so quite busy. $12 for a round of 18 holes, $5 for replays (there are three courses to choose from so you can do a different one). We also did the batting cages. $6 for 30 pitches (helmet and bat rental free, MUST HAVE DRIVERS LICENSE). Cute date spot! Massive game room, but no food that I saw.

This place is starting to show its wear and tear. Some of the holes have worn edges so the ball more often runs around the lip. It is always rather busy and crowded. There’s not a ton of shade and it can get quite hot. Bring a hat and sunscreen. The security guard was friendly but when we took a break from our game, they tossed our scorecard away and we had to reconstruct from memory.

Haven't been here in years. I always see it off the freeway. Finally came and bro I was so happy to see a sign. A sign that said if you are outside you don't need a mask!.! (Got our support/business!) Honestly we had a blast and the course we took was fun and challenging. We plan to come back to try another course. The arcade was cool had good games. They do have a bathroom and they do let you carry water through the trails. Definitely recommend coming here for a great time in the out doors.

  • Nidia Bee

This place is fun for all ages. We celebrated a birthday here and all the kids enjoyed it here. The adults also played a round and also enjoyed their time here. Many lf whom had been here when they were kids. Pretty cool. Parking sometimes will take a little while when its busy so be patient. No sodas sold here. But Gatorade and water is. Next time ill come and check out batting cages and arcade.

Quick family get away without breaking the bank. Bit outdated and minimal service. No goodies for parents... Should add a bar or something. Nothing reasonable to snack on for little ones either. Kids will still have fun as long as they got money in their game card Good parking tho! Miniature golf, batting cages, arcade, 2 dollar mini chips to go with 6 dollar Gatorade.

I've been going to this place since I was young and now I get to bring my little one here. Price for mini golfing can't be beat with toddlers under 4 play for free. However the arcade games inside are a little pricey. Non the less still a good place to kill time when you have a little one to release some energy.

We had a great time, the themed coin drop games are the best!! The arcade is small but they managed to squeeze in a lot of games. The place is clean and nothing is falling apart part. They feature 3 - 18 hole mini golf corses that were really fun as well as batting cadges. The games are fairly expensive but that’s expected.

The place is beautiful and very picturesque to go with family or on a date, I went on a Monday night and it was pretty cool. The mini golf is quite fun and of course I would return to play more. You’ve 3 different courses to choose. What I don't recommend is the staff there, who were very apathetic, as if they didn't want to be working there.

Mini golf was closed for private parties when we arrived. We waited in line for an hour and played a round of mini golf. The courses are well maintained and we had a great time. We would've played a second round but the line was really long. Video games inside are ok. Using the card to track tickets was a lot easier than counting tickets.

Overall a fun experience for the kids and families there are 3 courses to choose from if I'm not mistaken with 18 holes each it gets a little crowded at times and you might have to wait to try the next hole this recent visit was my first time trying the batting cages ever in my life it was fun and kinda painful on the wrists

The miniature golf is fun, although when it's packed like on a Friday night you have to wait for the group ahead of you, the area is not huge but does have 3 courses available. They have good ac inside the arcade area and the batting cages are up in front before entering the castle.

Decided to do some late-night activity and the mini golf is perfect as it closes at 12 midnight! We had so much fun playing here. There's just one hole that didn't work because a skunk has been staying there and apparently any ball that goes there won't come out.

Family Friendly! Lots of new changes so best to call in to inquire. Went on Friday evening and it wasn't that crowded yet. We had 6 mini golfers in our group We were celebrating my son's birthday, but couldn't take cake in, inquire! Besides that the arcade games were a big hit with my son and grandson. Last but not least, my daughter also had a blast at batting cages.

Castle Park is a great place for good wholesome fun. The mini golf grounds are well maintained and fun to play. There's ample places to rest and they are shaded. The lack of a snack bar is a bit of a detriment, but there are vending machines for drinks. The arcade is sufficient, with various types of games available. Nice family-oriented place to enjoy on a nice day.

  • Rodrigo Torres

Fun for the kids. The price is great and 3 different courses you can choose from. They do need to fix some of the holes though. Many times I noticed the ball would get stuck in the upper drop areas that lead to the lower area hole.

Edit: still great mini golf, but during my most recent trip it was $12/person with $5 replay so the price in my original review seems to have changed. 3 mini golf courses to choose from. Well maintained, easy parking, and very reasonably priced mini golf at under $7/person. Nice arcade with lots of options. Cafe is closed though.

Old but still one of the best mini golf places located in Socal. Been going here since I was a kid with my Grandpa and the courses have been decently kept up over many years. It would be cool to see some new additions but decent prices, three completely different 18 hole courses to play leave room for hours of fun.

  • Leroy Little

The guy in the gray shirt who signed us up for golf is the absolute best. He gave the best customer service and was nice even people that were mean to him at the counter. Absolutely legendary service. Also the courses here recently renovated and look absolutely stunning very fun to play and very well kept

I remember back in 1995 i punched some kid in the mouth when he made me lose to Goro in MK 1 and i got kicked out for doing so. I was like 12 and i love those days at the Castle. I remember also finding a bag of hip hop tapes and tape player and i was ecstatic cause i just got into music that year

Love coming here for miniature golf. The prices for it are reasonable. The video games are a bit pricey some almost $5.00 for one game. Side note you're unable to be in the arcade if unvaccinated. I decided to add that because with these gas prices who can afford to waste a trip? …

A child's dream playground. BATTING cages for the young adults, miniature golfing for all ages. Great Arcade GAMES. This is a must for any parent with young children. Safe and Secure. It's a Family Place. My nephew loved me taking him here. He even got his first hole in 1. Great for Memories.

First time in a minigolf. There are different courses in which you can play a 18-hole game. Playing one course is $6 per person, a rematch is $3 each. It was a funny experiencie and, later, we also joined the batting cages and tried our best. The price was $5.5, 30 strike balls

I love mini golf and castle park is a blast. Looks like they did quite a bit of painting and touchups since the last time I went. New greens on some of the holes. They make the ball run a bit faster but it adds to the challenge. I was told the arcade will open soon.

We had so much fun today! My mom and I took my boys (10&6). They loved it! It was very clean, great putt putt course with lots of different levels of difficulty. They made sure you wore masks in the arcade which had TONS of options! Thanks for a fun adventure today!
