"Sad that the lass on the register, rather sweet, was so bored she had to be asked if she was open to serve! Daydreaming, not interested really in customer service then colleague arrives, interrupts and begins conversation across the so called 'customer service', to absolutely verbally annihilate the supervisor! Not good for employee professionalism nor employer loyalty! Disappointing"

"I have always enjoyed a wander through Shiploads! Great for stocking up on activity books, stickers for the grandkids! And of course Cadbury choc products at a discount"

    "Fast friendly and great service"

"Shiploads ideally located at Cambridge Park only a short drive from Hobart is a great place to shop for many items normally found in the major supermarket chains such as Coles and Woolworths but at heavily reduced prices for those looking forward a budget shopping experience"

Purchased on 03.06.2021 a H&G Velvet Accent Chair Teal there.Item Code HA 19992, Barcode 9333527610461. It is an item imported by Uncle Bills PTY LTD in Silverwater NSW 1811, POBOX 6292. The upholstered chair comes in a box, and it does not show on the outside of the box the weightlimit of 80kg, that is what it is allowed to carry. I wont praise it for what it is able to carry. I would not sit on a chair like this. The legs of the chair part as soon as one would sit down on the chair. With one hand one can apply enough pressure to the sitting surface for the legs starting to spread in all four wind directions. There are only Health and Safety issues around that chair. It is flimsy, the fixations are not stable enough. The chair legs are out of metal, but the angles they are fixed to the chair call for trouble. In my view it could well be, that after purchasing a chair like this, you will risk to fall backwards, damage yourself, and damage your floor surface or spill your well earned after hour drink. It is a potential teal colored landfill of a short lived future, designed to be cheaply imported, sold and thrown out into the rubbish, any ones guess what country of origin, but not originality it might be. Sad affair of a chair.

I have always enjoyed a wander through Shiploads! Great for stocking up on activity books, stickers for the grandkids! And of course Cadbury choc products at a discount. Occasionally they will stock clothing as well. Stockist of reasonably priced wrapping paper and gift cards and everyday cleaning products. Never come out empty handed.

Fast friendly and great service. Staff are always more than happy to help with Enquiries and help you locate what you are looking for. Which is particularly awesome, when you have kidlets with you and really don’t feel like searching back and forth. Always leave with more than planned, but always saves you lots.

Shiploads ideally located at Cambridge Park only a short drive from Hobart is a great place to shop for many items normally found in the major supermarket chains such as Coles and Woolworths but at heavily reduced prices for those looking forward a budget shopping experience. Highly recommended! …

Amazing place! I went in there with no money (deliberately) and found lots of stuff, mainly office and household related that I would have bought had I had money. Beware! Very addictive, just like a tool store or garden nursery! Great prices and the quality of goods has improved enormously.

  • Marni Kaulima

Good variety, great prices, friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking nearby, with courtesy baskets / trolleys for customers to use, and free car service to help you load your loot into your car... speaking of which, you might need a bigger boot if you're going to shop here often!

It's wild how stock changes at shiploads: sometimes things will be gone in a week, never to be seen again; but other things are always available. You never really know what you can buy at shiploads. Bought the cutest lil hedgehog planter tho! (Plant from bunnings)

This is a store with a large vairiety of items at a cheap price, small to large items that include something for every room in the house comprising of cheaper imports to known brands to discontinued lines so stock is changing all the time. A good place to browse.

  • Troy

Handy location to have a discount shop like this at this time of year with plenty of decorations and Christmas cheer..Saved heaps and decorated the house for next to nothing, recommend this shop actually both upper and lower decks are awesome..

  • Charlotte Perrin

There's no real reason for where anything is placed in these two stores, so if you're looking for a particular item and are unfamiliar with either stores layout, be prepared to wander for a while. Also, why are there two separate stores??

  • Annette Mitchelmore

Very friendly just ask and they willingly do their utmost to track down your request. I thank Shiploads for their selection of helpful , friendly and obliging and always smiling faces. Excellent staff. Regards Annette Mitchelmore.

Put the dvds and blu rays up the other way so we can actually see what titles are in there. Didn't have the time to spend looking through them. Displays could be better. Also get more, interesting stock in. Same boring products.

  • Josh Ford

Prices are still very good but over the years they've slowly became more dull with their products. Personally I think they shouldn't of separated their party/toys sections into a separate store next door but that's my opinion

  • Brett

There is no better place for bargains in Hobart! You will find so many things u need and lots of things you don't know u need!!! Plus snacks, drinks, seasonal promotions and all the common bargains of a discount shop.

  • Mandy Gillies

I was pleasantly surprised as I am from up the North of the state. The shop was stocked with loads of items that I have tried to purchase from the North. I will definitely be coming to Cambridge when visiting family.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They always offer to help with getting heavy items like potting mix etc. to your car. Locating items in the store for you, nothing is a problem for them. Thank you.

  • rebekah barker

Not a huge choice, but they have some good potting stuff and seeds. The nice friendly young man on the till even grabbed two heavy bags of seedling mix for me. So helpful! (Hence the four stars!)

  • Yvonne Shead

Sells all your basic needs except food. Reasonable prices. Gardening goods, dog and cat beds and toys, plenty of household good. Also confectionary and soft drinks...check it out...good service

  • Colin Chick

A great range of discount products, with some fun and eclectic items down every isle. Staff were friendly, and prices were good. Couldn't resist grabbing some Choc-coated Raspberry Shots!

  • sally woodhouse

Good variety of stock. Well priced. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking right out side. Nice array of homewares , practical items. Cleaning gardening.decor etc

  • Michael Maxwell

Great bargains. Quality on some items is what you pay for. "You get what you pay for". I don't complain, the bulk of items are great value for money

  • D. Shadwick

Shiploads started out great. But has lost it's way. Similar to the old chicken feed.. nearly everytime you go there now... it's the same stuff.

If the same item is very affordable at Shiploads, why would you pay double even triple at the other well-known shops

  • Alistair Chong

A great shop, always get more than I need... been in a couple of times with no stock of what I'm after sadly.

  • Kris Foweraker
