The Pharmacy staff at the Shoppers Drug Mart on 815 17th Ave SW are always very rude and disrespectful to us and we feel as though they don't appreciate our business. My prescription was only one item which was a face cream that is in a ready to use package, it does not have to be compounded by the pharmacist or counted out as in pills, but the assistant said I will check to see if we have one of those first, then she came and said Ok we have one. After that, she put the prescription in a queue and asked me to return after one hour for pickup. I wasted one hour waiting in the store and when I went back nothing was ready and another lady, with blond hair (Rachel) wasted another 5min searching for my prescription. She went back to the shelf, the same place the first assistant said that they had found one, and picked it up and give it to me which took her one min to do so. They could have done this one hour ago with respect to the customer’s time. The lady with the blond hair (Rachel) was also very rude and out of order. After paying for everything using a credit card, she said that the transaction was not completed, without any check-in her system, when we told her that the machine told us that it was approved and to please remove the card… she ripped off the receipt from her POS machine and put it in the bag and complained about the computer systems not working well that day. We asked her why it was not covered by my medical coverage and she acted as though she was in a frenzy and said to us… oh, they would not cover it, I checked on every computer here, but our system is not working well, but your insurance will not cover it. Her response was so rude and unbelievable that we had to go home and contact the insurance provider ourselves just because we did not trust the pharmacist. We left feeling like this is not the correct place for us to get prescriptions filled as they are not friendly, unhelpful with filling your order, rude customer service, and if you ask them a question about your medication, it is bothering them so much, like how dare you ask me anything… take your prescription and get out of my face. We are very unhappy there and don’t feel that we deserve to be treated with such disrespect. We are looking forward to transferring our prescriptions to another pharmacy.

Horrible, horrible staff. I always shop here, especially in the evenings after work. Today I was waiting for my husband to pick me up from the store while I shopped. I took some time in the store looking at products when a staff member, Sylvia, confronted me. I bought the items I needed with no issues, but came back in a short while later because I forgot an item I wanted. This time, Sylvia immediately came up to me and asked me what I’d forgotten in an aggressive way. I once again paid for my items and left. I came back in with my husband ten minutes later and AGAIN Sylvia confronted me. I and my partner are both black. I confronted Sylvia as to why she kept coming up to me and she started questioning why I kept coming into the store. I have never heard of a policy where you can only come in a store a limited amount of times. My husband became upset. Sylvia said a number of racially insensitive things (telling me to calm down multiple times, even though my tone was neutral and quiet/Claiming I was yelling.) She had no interest in my upset at her questioning and was patronizing. I asked her what it is about me that makes my entering and leaving the store so suspicious. I think someone coming in and out a store TWICE! Is nothing of note and a third time with a husband in tow extremely innocent. No other staff had any problem with my multiple entrances. My partner lost his temper and left the store willingly. She told me that I came into the store to cause problems and that my husband was a problem. This is something that I am fed up with experiencing, and if you are a black person, avoid this store. Shoppers is INFAMOUS for this. I come there almost everyday to do my shopping and to be questioned as to why I came in the store, however amount of times, regardless of the fact that I came to peacefully buy things and leave, is disturbing. And to insinuate that I come into the store to cause problems? Simply ridiculous and disappointing in 2022.

Today was the second time I experienced the unpleasant service there. Last Monday, I bought some baby formulas and used some coupons. The cashier (Hubert or Helbert - can't remember how to spell his name) was kind of not happy doing his job, he put my coupons in a rough way like he threw them. Then Glucerna that I bought rang up at $16.9 when it was only $10.9 on the shelves - it could be SCOP. When I mentioned it he did not care. Today, I bought facial tissue and used printable coupons. He said I could not use all the coupons I have. The coupon clearly said "1 per purchase". Per purchase means per item. Almost all coupons that exists always says that and cannot be combined with other offer of coupons - means 1 coupon for 1 purchase or item, which further, we can use 1 coupon for each item/purchase we buy. I was not happy with it but I did not want to argue just for $1 coupon. My point is that it was not right that he did not allow 1 coupon per purchase. It means if we need more than 1 item and we have more than 1 coupon, we have to go to the store multiple times. How silly it is! I am non native but I know the difference between "purchase" and "transaction". I have been couponing for a while and always do it correctly based on the coupon policy. I know the store has right not to accept coupons, but just simply don't accept it and put some announcement or rules so that nobody wastes their time to buy some stuffs there with coupons, instead of making up rules and being not nice to customers. Coupons do exist to be used. Couponing is not stealing, it's legal. There are many Shoppers in this city that we can choose. If we know you guys don't accept coupons, we will just simply bring our business to other store.

Terrible service, I’m echoing what others are saying. My prescription expired and I was not notified, I phoned ahead for a refill and they told me that it expired, but a prescribing pharmacist could renew it if I came in. They gave me a timeframe for when I could come in and talk to the pharmacist. So I came in, the pharmacist was not there, instead there was another pharmacist who still had prescribing powers but apparently not for the drug that I require (I found out later that he did, however, he just didn’t want to). After speaking with him, he said there was nothing he could do for me, I was disappointed because I wasted my time coming in. I also had a couple of other items to get, so I picked them up. The pharmacist flagged me down because he was going to call the other prescribing pharmacist (why didn’t he do this in the first place? I asked him if he could and he said he couldn’t!?). To my chagrin I walked over to engage in another round with this man. The other pharmacist answered the call and said that he needed to check my health records. However, he kept coming up with nonsense reasons as to why he wouldn’t extend my medication a few more days (at least until I could renew my prescription). This was on Friday, my quality of life is less without my prescription, and I made that clear to him. He didn’t seem to care or understand. I just can’t believe how egregious this was from start to finish.

I went in during my lunch break with my friend, we got some snacks and a beverage, I was going to pay for my friend which I did but than the security guard came up to us and told my friend that he’s is banned from coming to the store again because we were stealing. I told the guard we didn’t steal anything and paid, he asked to check our receipt which he did, he than said no you didn’t because there’s only 2 things on the receipt you guys have 3, I checked the receipt and we got 2 bags of snack which we did pay for but they were put as one thing on the receipt, the total came out to $12, $3.5, $3.5and $5, but it was shown as $7 and $5. I showed him again and told him the snacks we got were put together he said ok but my friend was still banned and that they took a picture of him and they were going to send it to our school, we told him again that we didn’t steal anything, but he said we can’t reason with him. Turns out him and his colleague were watching us from the start because we’re students and they think that we’re going to steal, many other students were in the store to but they were only keeping an eye on us. Talked to our school about the incident and they said it’s ok let them do what they want but the school won’t make a problem of it because they understand. Very bad experience and the security guard and his colleague are idiots, never coming back here again.

I visit this store often. First off, let me say that the young lady that does cash check out by the entrance and i believe is the beautician that i see often, is always excellent. She's friendly and ALWAYS smiling. Great customer service. For that reason, it would be unfair to rate as a 1 or if it was possible, less. My issue is with the way i was treated recently by another employee and security. I arrived 15 minutes before close. The entire time i was there, the guard stood about 15 feet from me with arms folded and staring me down. Another employee, dressed in worn black jeans, no name tag and a t-shirt that could be confused as anything BUT work attire, also followed me around with a frown. He pulled all the covers over the refrigerated section so i had to pull them up to find items, and the second i moved away the guard would cover it back up in such a way that I felt like a criminal. Is the store open until midnight? Yes. Then why was i not allowed to be treated with respect? When i completed my purchase, the guard nearly walked into me when he left. Clearly i was the reason he had to go home at midnight, no earlier. Wow. I've spent thousands at this store. I will never set foot in it again.

After 40 years ( 3 lost after you combined Optimum and Loblaws a few years ago - ) and thousands of Optimum shopping oints I have just had 2 young people kindly pick up a liquid jar from the street that shattered after being ‘ over packed’ by a rep from your Beauty Bar ( ps: I’ve used Lancine, Neosrta who ‘ Just wanted to go home. - which she told someone while not bothering to check in my points on 85.00 worth of merchandise another young lady had reserved for me. As we know we’ll the stress o the job normally I’d feel sorry. NOT today. ‘ ( I had complimented the rep her on much made up appearance ). Since you no longer have testers ( yes I get)I had thought that for a 35.00 lipstick ( she would at least offer a sample on a Q tip. I returned 40.00 at cash before check out, and in future will be waiting until I get to the other S store in the Mall. : and Co op. Other staff had helped with bit I was not happy about a lot. ( She did offer go ‘add points if I returned within 6 days’ ( nope. ) . I’m now FINISHED the shopping I used to do at Shoppers yearly. Now to see if the key tag used regularly at Loblaws will find points on the Optimum app I didn’t think I needed.

My 5lb dog had an allergic reaction and the vet said to give him liquid Benadryl immediately. I didn’t have any so I ran to Shoppers and the pharmacy knew about his allergic reaction and helped me get his medication. I ran to the front and held his leash to the ground with my foot and used one hand to open his mouth and the other to give him the medication. The security guard came over and told me my dog was not allowed to be on the ground, meanwhile he’s having a noticeable allergic reaction and it’s snowing and pitch black outside. I explained the situation and he continued to fight me on it and then backed down as he realized how out of line that was of him to say. Then he went to some lady that worked there and she started telling him how my dog wasn’t allowed on the ground and having a talk with him. My dog was clearly being held down so I could give him medication and we were in a secluded corner away from all customers. As I was alone, this was the absolute best I could do to ensure my dogs throat didn’t close up. This was horrible customer service and I will never shop here again!!

Extremely poor customer service at the pharmacy. The rest of the staff ain’t great either, but the pharmacy staff are some of the unhappiest, most unpleasant I have ever encountered. The pharmacy doesn’t seem to understand that, in 2022, prescriptions are filled online, over the phone, by email, etc. Our doctor has faxed multiple prescriptions to this location and every one has been lost, or no one checked the machine until the next day, etc. Add to this the general unpleasantness of basically all of the pharmacy staff. They don’t seem happy to be working there, and they like to pass that unhappiness on to YOU. If London Drugs was still open in Mount Royal, we would never set foot in this place. Oh, and the phone for this location hasn’t worked in days, possibly weeks, so calling in a prescription is basically impossible. Maybe that’s the way they like it — they obviously don’t like helping customers. Totally poor customer service, and Shoppers head office should really do something about this store.

Everytime I come here I get great experience. I was looking for a discontinued perfume in November 2019 and the the cosemtic staff went above and beyond trying to locate it for me. Sadly, it was no longer available. The cosmetic manger Grace is also very nice! I went there during new year to get some $19.99 perfumes and she held it for me so I can purchase it the next day when there was a point bonus avaialble. She had a great attitude and she was so kind! I understand theft is an issue in that store espeically being close to downtown. I witnessed the store manger pick up a security device that was thrown at the store enterence (unfortunately, someone was able to steal even with the security device.) If the staff is following you, they are just trying to do their job and protect the store inventory. Don't take it to heart. Perhaps more security cameras should be installed and theft should be monitored via cameras.

My gf and I raced to this shoppers before it closed because she needed a prescription for her UTI and she was in so much pain, got here at 11:55pm, July 19th Thursday evening. We called and told them that we were coming before it closes but failed to tell the pharmacy and on top of that we have a doctor on the phone since she’s a hygienist. But the brown pharmacist that were closing was very rude to her, despite her being in so much pain and he also said that even though we have the doctor on the phone he wouldn’t take it because it was 11:57pm and that he is closing. As my gf tries to persuade him, he was just being very rude, not paying attention to her at all while he was shutting off the computer and putting on his jacket and started walking away from her. It was good thing that I was waiting in the car because if I was there I would have gotten an assault charge.

I have had the absolute worst experience with the Pharmacy. I have been dealing with them for about two years and while the location is convenient the service is far from it. When it comes to asking for insurance receipts you will have to come in which I understand. What I do not understand is when you've come in and requested specific information they take the laziest, easiest route possibly to get you out as fast as they can. When said information they gave you is insufficient and it is determined that you do in fact need what your originally asked for they will tell you yes we can fax you the receipts and when it's not been done 3 hours later and you call they tell you that you must come in to have this done. I will certainly not be returning to the pharmacy there. The rest of the staff in the Shoppers is fantastic just AVOID the pharmacy!

1st thanks to the sweet girl that let me know I could return the night repair, If I had any problems with it. Well I did and I had a bad reaction but when I returned it the little blonde with the long dark roots let me know that I should have kept the Box. I even made sure I could return it asking the gall on 4th street to call over and I made the long joint there the next day. Seems like they tell you you can return it but when you do they make you feel like an alien telling me that nobody's ever reacted to this product in 10 years. Or that I am lying. Hardly anything gone out of the bottle so clearly I didn't wanna just use half the product and return it. If I need to go to the lux beauty bar I will make it to the one Macloed trail the gals in there are super lovely.

I saw a comment here saying that some staff treat customers like they are thieves and I completely agree. This is my second time going to this shopper after 6PM and it’s always around this time that the people in the cosmetics section will follow you around to the point that it’s uncomfortable. The first time I went around this time, the security guard was not even being discrete. He kept following me the whole time. Today I went and one of the girls took an eyebrow pencil from me and told me I could t pay for it at the regular tills even though I had more items to buy. This is a really awful way to treat someone who has spent a lot at your store. I tried to write an email to the store because the first visit at night was that uncomfortable, but no one responded.

Had a very annoying experience at the pharmacy today. Dropped the prescription for a shot. Was told it will be ready in 30 min to an hour and I waited for one and a half hours before following up. Took two hours to get that shot. It's actually a pre-packaged box (the dose already in the syringe) so not like you have to dispense it from some vial or anything. The pharmacist administering the injection didn't sanitize their hands or wear gloves. They even didn't use a swab to clean the area before inserting the needle. Asked me if I can just get the shot in the waiting area. And got the hands all over the bandaid they used . And this comes with a $20 extra fee to administer the shot. Should change the name to Inefficient Unhygienic Drug Mart.

I dropped off a script explaining what’s needed to be filled at 9pm the previous day. I also requested just one of the scripts to be filled and was told no you have to wait until tomorrow. Ok then fine I’m not arguing the point. Then the next morning they call me and say it’s ready for pickup. Again I explained what’s needed and was told ok. So 90 mins later I go there and it’s not ready yet, ok fine, I’ll just take my one script I requested last night, I receive and the quantity doesn’t match the numbers needed. So it will be three trips to this store and one phone call to get these five items filled properly. Long story short, go some place else this pharmacy does nothing but waste your time.

Dealt with the rudest lady I’ve ever met. A few weeks ago I ran out of my meds and wasn’t able to get them refilled for a week and a half due to this location. When I called in explaining I was having a mental health crisis I was threatened with the police and then when I was went down to the pharmacy the lady made me unbelievably ashamed of my own mental health by saying my actions were completely irresponsible and that “I shouldn’t scare people like that”. She was extremely cold with me and basically threw the meds at me to leave the store. Seriously considering never coming back if I can’t even feel comfortable talking about my health with the pharmacy. Do better.

  • Iuliia Stalievych

Was there many times and staff is really nice and polite, especially two gentlemen who works there. But today lovely gentlemen (I'm sorry darling I didn't check the name) with pink make up was so sweet and really made my day: "are you still on a lonely journey?" I will steal this phrase as I work in retail too. Thank you darling for being so sweet. Both of the guys are super nice, offloading the staff from the boxes and being so sweet with customers. Even security staff is nice there making their respectful distance with people as we move towards them checking the parfum section. Definetly the best place. Girls in Chinook need to come and learn from guys in here

I have no idea how Shoppers Drug Mart still exists. It is the WORST pharmacy and this location is absolutely TERRIBLE. The last time I tried to book a *paid* covid test for travel they told me they only do walk in not appointments. When I went in walk in they said if I didn't have an appointment they couldn't fit me in. This location doesn't even have a WORKING PHONE any more. I tried to get a prescription moved to a pharmacy that knows what they're doing but neither my pharmacist or I could get them on the phone using the number on the Shoppers website. Go to any other chain or local store if you don't want to go through hell trying to get your prescriptions.

  • Amanda

I think the pharmacy staff is burnt out and needs a morale boost - I feel for them but recently switched pharmacies after too many annoying experiences with super long lines and waits for refills, poor customer service, and disorganization. The last straw was being forgotten about for over 30 minutes waiting for a Covid test that was pre-booked (forgotten about, they weren’t running behind). During my long wait I listened to a female staff berate other team members loudly for errors. I think this pharmacy gets by on being in a high-density area and a recognizable brand but in reality there are so many better, customer focused options. I’m so happy I switched.

  • Mary Noyle

Treating your customers like they are thieves is not a good way to retain business. I am in this location 3+ times a week, with no issues. Yet today, the cosmetics associate followed me around the entire department. Every time I picked up an item she said “I’ll keep that at the front for you”. I’m just looking, thanks. When I’m ready to purchase I will walk to the till myself. As a former shoppers employee, this behaviour is not what I have ever seen acceptable, and is a really great way to lose loyal customers. I took my $850 elsewhere and purchased from another shoppers that had no issues with me looking at items. I’ll continue to go elsewhere from now on.

  • nyamuoch deng

Had a very bad experience with this store the "security" guard followed me and my friends around the whole store the moment we walked in. I noticed very quick but didnt think much of it. I opened a tube of nyx lipstick to try it on i had no intention of stealing it at all, then the supposed security gaurd yelled at me i say supposed because he was dressed in normal clothing and didnt show anything to prove he was a security guard. instead of calmingly telling me why i was wrong and he threatened to have me arrested if i didnt leave the store or pay for the item i left the store bawling my eyes out staff noticed and didnt do anything to help.

  • a (A)

Have been coming here for months if I need to pick up some food after work as they are the only place open tonight I went in there and even though a week ago having my scooter with me was fine tonight I wasn’t allowed was told there wore signs on the door there wasn’t asked if I could leave it with them as I needed to grab 1 thing so I would have something to eat tonight and they said no you need to leave. I got to walk threw the store to leave but not buy the one thing that was 5 feet away that I needed, doesn’t make a lot of sense to me and now I’m at home going to bed on an empty stomach because shoppers was my only option.

  • Allan Lavallee

The staff is very friendly. The pharmacist and technicians don’t yell your prescription when confirming during pick-up. Very respectful and accommodating for walk-in appointments. You can get prescriptions for minor illnesses such as: UTIs, contraception management, morning after pill, pink eye, cold sores, ED, allergies, mild acne, skin rashes, oral fungal infection, hemorrhoids, ring worm, jock itch, athletes foot, diaper rash, tick bites (and other insects), skin infections, muscle aches and pains, premenstrual and period cramps, and shingles. You can register online for a scheduled or walk-in appointment.

  • The Studio of Jerald Blackstock

poorly trained anxious and hostile staff sylvia so I complained to gaslighting manager michelle no apology for bad information from poorly trained staff apparently this all my fault that I followed the advice on refund policy as stated when I bought the item and returned the next day..When they chose not to honour policy and keep my money it was all my fault I didn't understand, my mind is defective. Eventually got my money after 2 visits and a phone called. If you want to get yelled at interrupted and talked over then told you made them do it, aka abused, by definition, then shop here.

  • James

This is a great Pharmacy. On multiple occasions I've come to them with odd admin issues for prescriptions and various medication/medical concerns and every time they've been able to help me and provide effective advice. The staff are polite, remember me and my past medical history; I've never experienced such good medical care from a pharmacy before. What's amazing to me as well is that no matter which staff member I was helped by at the pharmacy the level of care was consistently good. They seem to have good communication between their team and are just good at what they do.

  • Jonathan Gregory

The store itself is fine for general goods and beauty, I've always shopped at Shoppers Drug Mart. I would avoid the Pharmacy for prescriptions. Many of the pharmacists are overworked so they are extremely short tempered with customers for basic requests. The Pharmacist/Owner is problematic at this location, low staffing, extra charges, ethics, etc. I use Rexall near work for my prescriptions, but continue to use Shoppers (other locations) for beauty and general goods. A new Pharmacist/Owner at this location would bring this Shoppers back to the quality Canadians are used to.

  • STEVEN TRAN

I've always loved the service here, I got to travel back to USA and it’s not easy to got appt for covid19 test on Sunday and result in the same day. My hope gone but last minutes i called and Eftab picked the phone he accepted me and help us out the situation. I have to say, he is professional, dedicated and care. During waiting for processing, he helped many other people and worked non stop but he always kind and nice to all people. He completely follow the safety procedure. We grateful for his service and so proud for this shop to have him as a hero.

  • Amy S

Most staff are great, I enjoy the front store experiences I have. Grace is something else though. After her trying to push expensive skincare brands on me, she went ahead and tried to sneak it in with my purchases! As if I wouldn’t notice my things were costing about $130 more. And then proceeded to try and push more products on me after giggling it off like an accident. I heard they get a commission, hope it’s true because my friends and I will no longer be bringing our purchases to this boutique. This was one experience too many with her.

  • Mohammad Moussa

Pharmacy told me they needed 4 hours to dispense a prescription only to tell that they don’t have one of the medications. They said they will immediately transfer it to this other pharmacy, i get there, no transfer. This poor guy starts calling shoppers’ pharmacy, they’re impossible to get a hold of. Then when he does get the prescription it was marked as “do later” at shoppers. Ive never had a wait of less than 45 mins to get my medication and the staff feels very unrushed and indifferent to the health of the customers

  • Francis Koesthedja

All staffs are friendly and helpful. I always come there when I need to buy something. I really want to give 5 stars because i don't have a problem until it happened on pharmacy a few days ago. Most of pharmacist in there are polite, very nice and helpful. But when I came there, one of the new pharmacist helped me but she spoke very fast and unclear. I asked her to repeat politely and she raised her intonation but still speaking very fast. Despite of this uncomfortable experience, I still come back and shop there.

  • Piper Layton

I went to the pharmacy there with the flu and couldn't cover all the meds I needed. The lady that helped us saw the look on my face when I had to choose which ones I needed most when I needed all. It was a hard choice, she helped and payed for the difference and literally saved me from having to make that difficult choice. It was a blessing and very kind, she didn't have to but she is most certainly an empath. She is great at her job! (no names named to protect the privacy of the worker)

  • Olivia Collins

By far THE best experience I have ever had at a Shoppers Drug Mart! Dylan and the lovely gentlemen (assuming, I apologize) with the gorgeous pink hair were so kind, informative, and helpful! There was another lady in the beauty department who wasn’t much help at all, but Dylan was just wonderful! He helped me find exactly what I was looking for, and was so patient with my questions! I will 100% return to this shoppers just to deal with them again! Thank you thank you thank you!

Vicki "Post Office Manager" - I've met some rude employees in my time. Vicki has got to take the biscuit though. How she became a manager.. I can only guess that everybody around her must've quit because of her poor attitude and so they had no choice except to promote her. Next time I see her I'm gonna turn around and either go to another location or come back another day. My 2 year old cousin would give better service than her. All it takes is a smile Vicki.

  • suzanne paul

the beauty section staff is wonderful, however, the pharmacist on duty on saturday mornings denied me urgently needed OVER THE COUNTER medicine for a severe migraine - not even a prescription- without even looking at my file. I had to cancel a day of work because he did not want to fill out paperwork or is simply a person in need of feeling superior. Not everyone is a drug addict and pharmacists are not doctors. All he had to do was look up my name.

  • Austin Thomas

- pharmacy I’ve had many issues with the pharmacy wait time can be extremely long (could be understaffed but ends up taking hours), had a pharmacist tell me I need to stop taking my medication (anti depressants and anti anxiety meds), have asked twice in the last month for them to fax my doctor to get refills and yet they still haven’t. Extremely displeased and upset especially at the pharmacist that recommended me to go against my doctors orders.

  • Dallas Young

The store itself is fine for general goods. I would avoid the Pharmacy for prescriptions. Many of the pharmacists are overworked so they are extremely short tempered with customers for basic requests. My pharmacist in particular didn't understand the concept of online Doctors and prescriptions can be made online. Hopefully additional training will be provided to staff. Yes, pharmacies are using fax machines in 2021/2022 for 'security purposes.'

  • Kristy M

I have been going to this location for over 25 years for prescriptions spending thousands of $ and shopping for items. When I phone they hang up on me without talking. I call back & am on hold for 1 hour. Pharmacists are always new, I miss the continuity they had before as new people are argumentative and don’t know a lot of things. And seem unwilling to even check on a fax from your doctor. Please teach customer service to the staff.

  • Alison Lambert

MIS MACK Clean Cosmetics! Yes please! I went specifically to this location as it is the only big store that carries this incredible biodegradable glitter! I have used the glitter for stage performances and it sticks great, washes away easy, and is actually good for the environment. Even better it comes from small town interior BC. Thanks Shoppers for supporting Young Female Entrepreneurs, it brought a customer back!

Booked a covid vaccine appointment in person but then I found one 3 weeks earlier through AHS, so I've been trying to do the right think by calling this shoppers pharmacy to cancel but it's impossible to get through! Phoned yesterday and today, both times I gave up after 30 mins on hold trying to speak so someone. I wonder how many vaccine booking no-shows you are you to have because of your fail phone system.

  • Chloé Corper

i went to six different stores today to try and find hair bleach, i came to shoppers first but they were unfortunately out of stock, and every place i tried next had the same issue. however! kyra was very friendly and helpful, and offered to take down my name and number so that i would be told when it was back in stock. great customer service, i'll be back to get that bleach when they give me a call!

  • A I

I went to speak with the pharmacist regarding some advise on speeding up the healing process for an open wound, and any recommendations and all he said was speak to your Dr. well during a pandemic it's not easy to get an appointment as she's limiting the hours at her office. Didn't appreciate the rude and disrespectful tone, will not be going back to Shoppers on 17th ave Sw again. Disappointing

  • Jay D

Close to where I Live, most staff very helpful, hours, selection of product. One thing I really don't like is how the undercover floor walker is very obvious. He socializes with staff ( major tip off), every time I walk in he seems to always be interested in the same items I'm shopping for (again quite obvious who he is) Makes the client (ones actually spending money) very uncomfortable!

  • Matthew Mcadam

Bought a home depot gift card here that didn't work. Was a lot of effort to get a refund. This location told me to call home depot. Home depot said call Shoppers. I called shoppers and gave them all the info. Then when I followed up to find the status, they said they were waiting for the info that I had already provided them. I did get the refund eventually, but a lot of run around.

We recently traveled to Canada and needed Covid test to return to US. Not many options as we arrived late in town on Sunday. Pharmacist Aftab was very accommodating and worked us into his schedule. The pharmacy was extremely busy while we waited and he remained polite and friendly with everyone. We truly appreciated his kindness and willingness to work us into his busy shift.

  • Stephanie S

The pharmacy at this location doesn’t have the best customs service. Dropped off a prescription here and they didn’t not bother to call and tell me it was out of stock, arrived the next morning for pick up and nothing was available. Some pharmacists are friendly, but others are short and rude with customers. I will be considering taking my business elsewhere.

  • Karan Prajapati

The employees here seems to have no decent customer service and on top of that have an attitude for no reason. Specifically in canada post section employees and beauty section employees. If you dont want to work then leave the job. Both the times i have been patient. I have filed a complaint with ombudsman and will be filing a complaint for this shoppers too.

  • Molafa

Pharmacy new staff is very rude & disrespectful. I got a prescription ready then took another queue in the line for my wife’s which I’m fine with; but to come back after the time they said it would be ready in & then they keep saying 10-15 minutes?? & they even argue with each other about it in front of customers?? What kind of customer service is this??

  • Sydney Sanders

This is my main pharmacy where I get everything from. The Pharmacists and other staff behind the counter there are always very helpful and answer questions I may have. I’ve also called with questions and have had great experiences as well. Truly feel like they want to help me which is a nice thing. Beauty department has great team members too!

  • Hawkin Anderson

Constantly messing up prescriptions. 5th time today, they don't listen to which medication you need then they tell you it's ready and have to redo the entire order so even though you've called ahead and stressed multiple times what you need you have to wait for the useless pharmacy staff to redo the order. Highly highly highly not recommended

  • Lindsay Bonnell

Aftab was very understanding of my need for a rapid covid test and was able to fit me in with minimal wait time. It’s a very busy pharmacy and I understand how it’s easy to get frustrated, but we must remember how hard these folks are working to fill prescriptions, give vaccines and tests etc. Thank you Aftab for great customer service :)

  • Zorana Bunjicevic

They just frauded me for 90$. When I originally dropped of my prescription they told me the 90$ price and that they have the medication I need. When I went to pick it up they were selling me double than prescribed amount for 180$. They should have said something right away, before it was too late for me to go somewhere else.

  • dalia helal

We went to shoppers to take passport photos with very low expectations. We were surprised with how great the photos turned out to be, all thanks to the amazing photographer Austin. We are happy that we’re going to see these photos for the next 10 years in our new Canadian passport. Thanks for your effort Austin.

  • Q

I have been getting my prescriptions and shopping at this location for 12 years because it's near my home. Recently the customer service at the pharmacy and postal outlet have gone so far down hill that I will transfer to another drugstore. The only good things about this place are the location, and Steve.

  • Michaela Lewis

If your looking for a good and honest sales person see Dillon. Dillon is honest and really knows the products. Dillon is genuine and remembers your conversation. Never did I feel pressured to buy things I didn't need. Super friendly, has a great attitude and I highly recommend. This is my new shoppers! ❤️

  • Morgan Handberg

I was looking for a new perfume and had the pleasure of meeting Kristina in the beauty section. She was very helpful, not pushy at all, and very knowledgeable. Probably one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had in Calgary. She deserves a gold star for being awesome and cheerful. :)

  • Kingstoon II Grimaldi Jr.

This shopper drug mart is very big and it also has a cosmetic section with make-up, Cologne, convenience store, pharmacy, and many other things. Very clean and friend staff. However the parking sucks. And it's hard to find parking on 17ave as it's a very busy location. Beside that it's ok.

  • Ralph D. Morris

We greatly appreciate the knowledge and helpfulness of the Pharmacy staff at Supina Apothecary, Shoppers Drug Mart in Stewart Green SW. And it's an especially great service during these days of Covid, to have a local, personal pharmacist to provide the vaccine shots. Thanks Keely.

  • a

Today I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the manager at this post office. She was the most condescending passive aggressive person I’ve ever had the displeasure of speaking with. I would recommend you go to any other post office around town and avoid this one.

  • Iain Gibson

Trying to call in a prescription for a patient. Answering machine doesn’t work, cuts me off after 5 seconds. I call again to try and speak directly to the pharmacy and someone answers and says something unintelligible then puts me on hold for 20+ min. Never did get through.

  • Chris Potter

Horrible, insulting service. The pharmacy at this location doesn't even have the competency to check their fax machine for a prescription refill, or the customer service to validate with a family doctor about an urgent refill. Let's stop giving this garbage chain our money.

  • M F

Staff are usually very friendly and helpful at this location however this evening (about an hour ago) there were no staff at the tills to check items out. The self check out was available however. Shoppers seems to be moving toward a hands off approach to customer service.

  • Roxie Loeppky

I went to this pharmacy on my lunch break for seriously 30 minutes and no one even looked at me to help me. I tried to get their attention to ask them a simple question about vaccines and not even a single word was said to me. Absolutely trash place. Thanks for your help.

  • Brittney Edge (briae)

I've always loved the service here, I frequent the main area, pharmacy and beauty sections but tonight I was so so thankful for the service. I've never felt safer on 17th and I can't thank the team enough. Hopefully they know what I'm talking about. Thank you.

  • Ben

This is a go-to location for anything from prescriptions to chips to birthday cards to health food supplements. The staff in the cosmetics department are particularly friendly and helpful. I only wish it was open 24 hours, though 12am is still pretty great.

  • MovieBuffReal The Second

Always received good service here. It's a Downtown location and busy most of the time so that could affect the service of the employees but everyone I've tried here, from cashier to post office, pharmacy and cosmetics have been helpful and nice.

  • John Wenger

Convenient location for me but parking can be difficult. Haven't had an issue with any of the services offered. Store is clean, staff are friendly and helpful if needed. It will be my shoppers of choice as long as I live in lower mt royal.

  • Caeli Callaghan

Customer service is kind, security guards always give you a smile or a nod when you enter. The entrance doors only open about half way which has been that way for months, which makes things difficult when there are people coming and going.

  • Morgan

Pharmacy said they switched to appointment only covid tests in October, which is a lie since I've gotten a test is December and February. I recommend literally any other pharmacy. I have using this shoppers for years too.... disappointing

  • Chris Smith

The pharmacist Aftab was very professional and knowledgeable. He provided superb customer service and handled everything with compassion and understanding. When you come to this Shoppers ask for his help you will not be disappointed.

  • M S

Very rude staff, never an exception. Recently called to enquire about COVID vaccinations and the woman on the phone told me to “call deena hinshaw” and hung up on me. I will be transferring my prescriptions to another pharmacy.

  • Nikita Kalonji

Just moved into the area and cannot even connect on their phone line; their system keeps picking up the phone and not saying anything. Guess I will have to return to my previous Shopper's in Missions. Do better Alison and team!

  • Michael Hawley

This Shoppers does not enforce the city bylaw for patrons to wear masks. When asked why several customers were permitted in the store without a mask, the manager told my wife that was her problem. This. From a pharmacy no less!

  • Sirus May

No system at the pharmacy for automatic refills and notifications plus ignorant and out of line staff. I had enough of their incompetent capabilities so I transferred my prescriptions to another pharmacy. Good luck fellas

  • Michael Freedman

The phone Rx refill system thinks I don't know the year I was born ... and it's often impossible to get through to a real staff member. Can't refill online bc SDM systems won't recognize a change in store locations.

  • Mason

A big store with a wide selection, but why so much security? its unnerving trying to shop with two security guards looking over your shoulder! just use CCTV like every other store, its like visiting a police state.

  • Mina Didehvar

The post office could not find my package when I came to pick it up. It doesn’t make sense since my package arrived 5 days ago. This likely means that they are not doing their inventory on time. Big waste of time

  • Yay Ay

Good retail team; however, their pharmacy team members are not very friendly and comes across rude. Professional and respectful communication should be a part of their virtue and cultures all across the business.

  • C. A.

I love the fact that their pharmacy is open late. Always enjoy my shopping experience here - maybe it's the lighting but the store and staff give off good vibes. Steve at the pharmacy was great to deal with!

  • Rocky Mountain

Friendly staff, much better than the SDM at 4th street SW location. They are fast, courteous and approachable, from the Canada Post to front store cashiers. The location respects the masks exception bylaw.

  • Samantha

Great coupons, would recommend looking it for them ahead of time. Got to say, the self serve checkout is convenient but almost not worth the use as the voice is incredibly high pitch and irritating.

  • Altaf Pirmohamed

Aftab the pharmacist is amazing. He accommodated me for a COVID swab and performed it with professionalism and efficiency. Will only come here for my pharmacy needs! 5 stars to Aftab.

  • Evelyn Middleton

I went to Shoppers and bought Virgin Mobile card and the very nice gentleman ("Robert) loaded the money on the cell phone for me. He was so kind and helpful. Thank you again Robert.

  • Sydney Pimiskern

Devina gave me excellent service in the perfume department. I was really impressed with her knowledge. Thank you for the fabulous service and showing me new, desirable scents.

  • Noah Morgan

The male employee and manager at the post office are rude, unhelpful and condescending. If you hope to experience good customer service, I would not recommend this location.

  • wendy wang

There is a working hard pharmacist named Aftab. He is taking care of flu shot, covid testing and more by himself during my visit. I am very happy with his service. Good Job!

  • Joyce

The best customer service I ever been in shoppers. The manager Bobbie and Michelle are really understanding, try to understanding situation and helping solve the problem.

  • Janellyn Orpilla-Tejana

Called the pharmacy way ahead of time, I was told they will prepare my medications. My husband arrived yet no medications were prepared! Super disappointing experience!

  • Pramodya Abeysinghe

Friendly staff. I wanted to return something I bought from another shoppers. They couldn’t do it due to a system issue. But at least they tried to do it for me.

  • olivia sawka

I’m not sure of the name but he had pink hair and worked in the beauty section and was lovely, very good at his job was a lovely experience. Thank you !! :)

  • NINO BAKI

I walked in to grab a perfume for my wife and i was helped by Dylon super helpful very nice and has good taste made my experience shopping their really good

  • Jacob Deni

Never take passport photos there. The photos were so dark. When i asked them to change it they said they want a rejection letter from service canada!!!!!

  • Memo Chuaychoo

Friendly and helpful staffs especially Taylor and Dylan. They always approach me when I need some help with skincare and beauty products. Thank you

  • Bilal

Get Mark a raise ! This young kid is awesome , enthusiastic and will put a smile on your face ! It was 11:00 pm and he was so cheerful and helpful!

  • Compilation World

Shoppers always has what you need, just parking issues especially downtown, but still a good shopping experience as always, with friendly staff

  • William

Guin was very kinda and happy to help. She was friendly and walked me to the aisle where I found what I needed. Thank you very much Guin!

  • Mohammed Tanvir

Nice place. Has variety of options we went to check out some colognes. Patricia was very welcoming and helpful. Great customer service

  • Shak Chaudhry

Couldn't find a staff member to help me in cosmetics to buy cologne. I just ended up leaving after 10 minutes

  • Jongmin Son

I like this mart. There are many kinds of things there.

  • Adriana Turco
