I have never used this service before but was helped through the process from start to finish. Before my house move day itself the communication was great via email ensuring me that the set up was ready for us to use and that was despite messing them around on the original date ‘it was no problem’ to them and dealt with swiftly and efficiently. On the move day itself I soon realised that the unit wasn’t big enough and so I needed to Change the size of the container ‘that was no problem’ later on we realised we needed to get another smaller one and ‘that was no problem’ Yes of course it was more expensive for me necessary too and the chap was so apologetic about that and so helpful. I cannot thank The staff member enough Sam, he was kind he really was there to help on the day and he definitely took away any potential stress. I did say I’d do a review and here it is! From one storage to the next. Story of my life at the moment. First day at shurgard self storage. First impression, okay and professional. Seems quite secure home away from home for my items I am unable to keep with me due to lack of space. Two negative points though. You will need to purchase shurgard's barrel Lock at the front desk receptionist at a hefty price as basically won't find a similar barrel Lock to fit their storage units. No choice then. Somewhat profiteering + one time admin fee Also you will need to setup a direct debit to proceed with renting a storage unit. In My case I only need the unit for one month, so I will promptly cancel the direct debit with my bank. Just don't like the idea of too many direct debits hanging over my head. Then again that may just be me. Also for a £1 first month promotion it pans out.

Safe, clean, spacious storage at the best prices around. Great location for my business as the ceilings are also 10ft so you get another 25% more space than other companies I was at a storage company locally but when they had an offer on in April I decided to give it a go as I got double the space for half the price. Although I have just had my price increase after the 6 month which I was told about when I signed up. I was shocked to see it was only a tiny amount and if it weren’t to the fact I was relocating I would carry on storing my stuff here The whole time I have dealt with the manager Sam who is honest and straight to the point. The team leave you alone but are really happy to help when I query anything so I wouldn’t look further P.s. I have been here for nearly 6 months and only leaving as I’m moving away

Took out a storage unit on the 9th April 2022. Informed then after 5 days that I would be vacating the unit within the month. They emailed confirmation of this. I emptied the unit 1 day before. They then proceeded to take £137 and a few pennies from my account. Today is the 20th of May 2022. The money they took was unauthorised! Every time I ring them the call goes through to a different branch. Get told story after story. Chingford have been emailed approximately 4 times by the other branches and no response. I asked one gentleman if I could speak to accounts or head office and guess what they are based in Europe somewhere and can't be contacted! No sign of money which was taken without authorisation! Bad customer service and in future I will go elsewhere

Avoid if looking for long term . The rates are a con . I went to book a unit with Mo and confirmed the price of £287 pm for a 200 sq unit for a minimum rental of 6 months . I loaded a van and went The day after however the unit price doubled to £574. Bearing in mind the same posters were up and within the same month however the same unit was no longer on the deal but still available . The units are good for 1 month but long term they will change at a drop of a hat. I asked to speak with a manager and he said no . He Did not care I am a local business and they treat customers unfairly. I would not recommend this site for over 30 days as they can change price dramatically. False advertising and poor customer service .

Expensive rental compared to other Shurgard storages. Reluctant staff. I planned to rent it for one month only but after a month they said me that I need to cancel the contract 14 days in advance even I told them in the begining that I want it for one month only. Two days later they misused my card details from initial payment and they tried to charge me £142 from my account without my knowledge. I sent them an email asking them to explain it but I never got any response from them. Instead of it they restricted my access there when I came there to evacuate it next day. So they held my stuff until I pay for something I did not want at all.

What can I say... LUKASZ is your man to speak to. From start to finish he couldn't be more helpful and patient while helping me decided which size storage would be right for me! He took me through every detail of how everything worked and made sure that I was happy at every stage. I am so impressed with the level of customer service, the security and also how clean and organised the facilities at Chingford are. I would highly recommend not just this storage site but also so this company as even when I phoned to enquire the customer service team was also very helpful!

I was quite nervous before putting my stuff into a storage place as I’ve never done so before but one of Shurgard’s Self Storage employees, Lukasz, made the entire process less stressful and very smooth. Lukasz helped me with any questions I had, he explained and demonstrated precisely how to obtain my storage place, how to access and lock it. This made the entire process of storing my items much easier and quicker. I’m very grateful for how secure and well guarded this storage place appears to be and how professional their employees are, especially Lukasz.

This place is fantastic! First time renting a storage unit, walked in on a sunday afternoon, I had quite a few question as I had no ideea how things work. Lukasz, the person at the reception was amazing, he answers all my questions clearly and also he explained the deals they had available at that moment on each unit size. A contract was made and signed super quick took only a few minutes. They gave me a brand new lock with 3 keys. The inside of the building and my unit were clean and tidy. Plenty of trolleys available outside. Great place overall!

We needed some space to store our mum's house contents after she died. Never used storage units so did not know what to expect. I was so impressed and amazed with the facilities at Shurgard. We had first class customer care from Siobhan. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. No pushing us to take the unit. She advised us on the size we would need with the safety that we can downsize when we need to. This has taken so much pressure off of us. I am so happy I made that visit to Shurgard and had the pleasure to be served by Siobhan.

Sam is very good at sales. I work in sales - the best are able to sell without appearing to sell. Features and benefits and the ability to turn a perceived negative into a positive. For example, I thought I needed 24hr access. It turns out that I don’t and 11pm is late enough. After all who wants to be wondering around large spaces at the dead of night. You were right Sam and thanks for making my move seamless and easy. Trust me, the circumstances were not as easy.

The worst staff that I have ever seen. They insisted on making initial payment with card. After two weeks I cancelled the contract with them but even so a few days later they charged me £142 from my account without my knowledge. When I prevented them from doing it they denied me access to the storage at all. Rubbish people !!! Response to owner's response: It was exactly what I did at first. I sent you the email (2 weeks ago). Until now I have no reply.

I called up Shurgard as a first time customer for storage facilities. Zara took the call and was very professional, friendly and clear in explaining what I thought would be a different process as I had no clue of what size unit I would need. Zara was able to advise me and put my mind at ease and was also able to offer me a reasonable price for the duration of the storage. I would not hesitate in contacting Shurgard again.

I've never used storage before but shurguard are just on point, they were very accommodating and helpful at short notice and they offer you a lock instead of a padlock, as I was told that padlocks can be broken but these locks are internal for better security! An absolutely professional team at the Shurgard storage facility in Chingford. Very explanatory and helpful when using their services for the first time. This has continued and we are all impressed with adherence to government guidelines for everyone using the storage. Would recommend Shurgard for business and personal storage needs. Clean, tidy and easily accessible, with excellent staff. 5+ stars!

Very halpful staff, everything was explained in detail. After 1 year using this facility there are a few issues that I have. Although the units are clean and secure, the facility has no toilets or bins on site and there is no lighting in the units which I would say is a definite thumbs down for the price. My monthly rent went up by £21 a month within my first year which I cannot justify.

Definitely recommend! The storage building is in a great condition, everything easy accessible and automated. But most importantly service is amazing. Called for a quote and they booked me in for an appointment to sign the papers and I spent 20 minutes on the phone doing so. Then at the end of the call after agreeing everything she tells me there is mandatory insurance which increases the cost by 50-100%. Then when I get frustrated at her she hangs up on me. Disgusting customer service will be taking my business elsewhere.

First time customer here. Zara was a superstar!!! Really helpful with all our questions, charges explained clearly beforehand and showing us the unit that would suit our needs best. Never felt there was pressure on me to reserve a space (greatly appreciated) or that they were trying to sell me a more expensive option than what I really needed. Fully satisfied so far. :)

Really good storage clean n located very close to overground station , also guys with whom I was in contact were great - Shane via phone Lukash who showed me around , I really recommend them I found this experience better than with yellow storage which also was good but this one great , I found though their lockers a lit weird but let’s see maybe they r just unusual

Very positive experience to report in Highams Park Shurgard on Friday 11th June. I had lost my keys and paperwork and Lukasz (store manager) went to enormous trouble to sort everything out for me and to help me close down my unit. During this time I have always found the on site staff to be very helpful and courteous and the general level of service administration from Shurgard has been excellent. I looked at most storage units within the area & this one is the best by far. Firstly the level of Customer service is very satisfactory, the staff are very friendly & helpful. The access security levels are excellent, I have piece of mind that my property is safe & secure. The entire premises are nice, clean & tidy.

Really helpful staff, secure and have great storage units in many sizes. The only reason i didn't give it a 5* was because the direct debit date cannot be changed to suit you as all shurgard payments come out at the same time( made things a little difficult for me) but again this may not be a issue for some.

I spoke to Siobhan on the phone when I was shopping around for space and she was so on it compared to rival storage companies. V impressed and convinced me to come to Shurgard. When I arrived it was efficient and smooth. She was so lovely to deal with and explained everything really well. Great experience.

Have been using this facility for over 2 years and the storage space is excellent for my needs. However the price has gone up twice in that time. Captive audience really as its too much to move without incurring additional costs such as hiring a moving van! Probably better for short term storage

Very well organised. I did the paperwork, then had to change to a larger lockup. The member of staff had to start all the paperwork again. He was extremely helpful and very professional in making sure that all my requirements were met. Excellent service and very good storage units.

Do not use it as it is not safe. Had my belongings stored there and in less than 2 months my unit was broken into and I had my things stolen. Security in the building is not effective. Staff was polite and helpful in dealing with the issue but mentioned this has happened before.

Everything excellent until we finished the contract. Gave the correct notice period, left the unit clean and open. Still charged for the next month, even though I received an email saying the contract had finished. Still waiting on a reply to my emails.

Was burgelled in Shurguard, Didn't get a call for 3 days!! There back gate was left open for 3days and people were in the building after 8!! There security system is flawed and isn't secure. Do not use them.
