If I could give this place zero stars I would. Apparently their policy is that if something is defective, it's between you and the manufacturer and they will give you nothing for it. You take 100% of the risk if the items that you buy here are garbage. We bought a pair of Corcoran boots manufactured by the Carolina Shoe Company and my son put them on for 5 minutes and the stitching failed, opening up one whole side of the boot. I brought them back to the store, they said because they had been worn for 5 minutes so they couldn't take them back. They told me to contact the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer and the manufacturer told me that they don't have any retail function and that I have to get my refund or credit from the retailer. They said that every store that they retail through has to have a warranty return policy and what I described the staff of Sierra Trading Post having said is not the warranty return policy that they do business under. I went back to the store and talked to a manager named Philip who said that it doesn't matter if the product fails immediately, they do no warranty returns or returns of any type on any item that has been worn or is not in salable condition. " Because if they did, then our company would take a loss." Apparently it is us, the customers, that take a loss when we shop at Sierra Trading Post. Even at a heavy discount, if your item turns out to be garbage it wasn't worth it. I doubt that I will be shopping here again.

I totally understand the need for security in shopping centers at these locations, but nobody enjoys being profiled and followed around the store like they are about to steal something. My wife and I came in on a mission to buy dog toys for our new puppy since we found out the store would be closing early for the 4th of July holiday and only had 20 mins to shop. No one believes the security guard is shopping for items in the aisles as he follows you around the store. We normally enjoy our experience at this store, but this experience made us question our decision to shop here and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. I also refuse to fill out their online review form directly because the questions they ask only make it obvious they are profiling you even further.

One of the most underrated diamond in the rough stores good I I am personally aware of or have been to. Great friends great quality for a discount price that will have you coming back with a smile on your face and feeling like you really got some great deals also people who work there and I've been there quite a bit and they I really will burst in customer care they don't Hound you or follow you or make you feel pressured and that's a big deal this place is I won't go literally because of that anyways I think this prep place is really great spectacular even like I said the most underrated store that I know of I would give it a 10 out of 10

I popped in on a whim the day before a camping trip and luckily before hitting up a sporting goods store. I was very happy to walk out with all the miscellaneous supplies I needed plus a few trail treats and still had most of my money in my wallet. The folks working at this location seemed happy to be there and that seemed genuine, not forced. They were as happy to see the deals I got as I was! It's a small store with a lot of active wear and home stuff, so it's not exactly a one one stop for all your sporting needs, but I would recommend starting here if you've got some adventures planned so you can save a few bucks.

I still love the store they have move around everything in different places. The travel and luggage accessories still at the entrance to the right side but now instead of the shoes that used to be on that side it's now HomeGoods and pet supplies all the way to the end including backyard and garden accessories. The shoes were moved to the middle of the store. It is disappointing that there are no more big and tall clothing. There are more items in their online store done in the physical store but of course prices are still good compared to regular department stores.

horrible experience shopping here. Multiple Associates on their phones at registers while having a long line to checkout. The Managers Kayla and Lesley came up to me while shopping just to mention the credit card to me not only that after i said no to their 10% off lmao they followed me to the register and were breathing down their associates necks pressuring them to mention their stupid store credit card once again right in front of customers including myself, so inappropriate i felt horrible for the associate checking me out.

Sierra Trading Post ( might be the old name, now Sierra) is an outlet store where you might find some items you could use. It's kind of a treasure hunt. You just don't know what you will find. I was a le to pick up some.shoe grippers for our coming slick weather. They have a big selection of dog toys and accessories. I'm not really impressed with their clothing. Feels kind of like a TJ Max ( who owns them now). Like most outlets, you have to know your values to find a good deal. It's fun to treasure hunt if you have time.

Employee was rude & accused me of bringing unpaid merchandise into the bathroom which i absolutely did not do. When I told her she was mistaken and i wanted her to look in my bag to show her she just ignored me. Also they took my cart with the things i planned on purchasing into the back room for some reason. They.must have problems with theft but accusing the wrong people of stealing isn't good for business. I really love this store the selection is awesome but i can't be harassed while shopping. I think ill pass

Sierra is always a fun shopping experience in its brick-and-mortar store because you don’t know what special deals you’ll find. I don’t think I’ve ever gone in without finding several items I hadn’t even planned on purchasing, but ones that aren’t just whimsical - they’re necessary items with the top brand names that would be obtuse to pass up. This location is my fave because you can one-stop-shop with Target, Home Depot, and all the larger stores. I now visit about once every other month

Love this store, if you're an outdoor person who likes outdoor gear than this is the spot, great discounts, good selection and a big pet section. Pros.... I've found killer deals on big brand shoes for me and kids like 10 dollar Nikes killer, cons,... You'll find the really good deals online not in-store, if your looking for Carhartt and Dickie gear and workwear online is where youll get 10 buck pants, just keep checking in on their site with a little diligence you can seriously crush it.

It seems sad to see a business reduced to a shell of their former self. This was the place to get outdoor gear at bargain prices - now it is haunted by the specter of T.J. Max. There are nothing left but scraps of cheaply made poorly designed gear laying around. The prices aren’t even very good. I’d rather pay full price for something that actually works, than get a few bucks off a shoddy off-brand backpack. If you need backpacking or outdoor gear, go to Next Adventure or REI instead.

  • Mr. Fixit

Sierra is part of the TJ Max, Marshalls and Homegoods family and focuses on the outdoor stuff like jackets, waterbottles, gloves, backpacks, clothing and shoes. I do wish they had a better selection of hiking shoes and boots but maybe one day those will come with more regularity. Their selection changes often so you are never sure what you are going to find. With that said we were able to find a good selection of athletic pants for my daughter as well as some other outdoor gear.

  • Duncan Clark

Staff was excellent, store was clean, however, for a company that made its name on outdoor gear, the product selection didn’t feel like it reflected the needs of outdoor recreation in this region. Perhaps during their expansion, they sent a very universal product selection to all stores. I would be much more impressed, if they adjusted their product selection by region, to reflect the types of outdoor activities that people do near each location.

  • Eric Steyer

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Great deals on high end outdoor gear (Columbia, Marmot, North Face, etc.) and many other products. I just bought a $225 winter jacket made by Columbia for $50 and a light weight rain jacket by Marmot that was $125 for 40 bucks! They usually have very nice sunglasses as well, as I found a pair of polarized Ray Bans for $60! Highly recommend if you need some new clothes, shoes, jacket or any other outdoorsy stuff

  • Marse88

Everytime I've shopped here there's been an issue. Went to return something today the cc on the receipt doesn't match my card even though it shows the withdrawal on my statement. The time, date and anount all match but won't return the money. So they made me take a gift card...yay can't wait to waste more money here. Last time I ordered online to be delivered to store took over month to get it. Not a customer anymore.

  • bill waltz

Success has made STP. Less of a good deal. Prices are higher and as they have opened more stores discounts have gotten less. Staff has always been helpful and that has not changed. There is always a lot of merchandise and one needs to spend a fair amount of time searching for what you need or want. What used to be exceptional deals now are usual discount store prices. Easy to return things but the us a restocking fee.

  • Jennifer Haynes

I ALWAYS LOVE shopping at Sierra Trading Post!!! I've been a LONG-TIME customer for many many years. I first discovered Sierra on a road trip coming through Cheyenne WY and was instantly hooked. Most of my favorite items have been from my online purchases. The online choices for sizes, colors & styles are plentiful. Excellent quality products at outstanding prices!! Check them out... You will be so pleased you did!!

  • Darrin Spokely

I really like this place. It's like a big clothing - sportsmen department store with a bargin basement wrapped up into one. You get quaulity goods and there is something for everyone, I mean anyones budget. They have clothing items from $5.00 and up. I got new sweat pants from a major brand for $12.99 new on the clearance isle. Needless to say I went back next day and got two more...awesome place. Its a must see.

  • Motor Head

This place is good for inexpensive outdoors gear. I don't want to say cheap because most of what I bought I still own, and it's still in good shape. I stopped in about two years ago to buy cheap ski gloves to replace my nice pair that I lost. The pair I got were as good as my old set, but half the cost. If you want to go on an outdoor adventure on a budget, stop here first.

  • Agent Bey

Impressive selection of outdoor clothing and gear. This was my first visit. I can't believe I haven't been to Sierra sooner. The prices are amazing! One recommendation, if you see something you are interested in, don't hesitate to buy it immediately. You can return it if you don't want it. If you come back the next day thinking it will be there you might be out of luck.

  • Sage Whispers

I was looking for a coat listed on the website. When I inquired about that specific coat, an employee suggested I "look" in the women's coat section. I'd already looked and was standing in that section when I asked. No offer of assistance to check inventory. (Hmmm, why didn't I think of that?) I asked another employee to check inventory and she wasn't much better.

  • Curious Travelers

Very clean and spacious. I liked how organized it is. Great variety of cloth and shoes. I was able to find anything for each of family members (there are 7 of us :)) Even restroom was very clean and smelled pleasant. Seems like there was just one Customer service agent on floor. Probably because it was Saturday evening. She was nice but not talkative.

  • Gary R

I love Sierra trading Post and shop there regularly. I typically go to the Hillsboro store where the staff is helpful and enthusiastic. This location has serious morale problems. The associates seemed disinterested, and actually ignored customers in an effort to avoid working. Management needs to work on customer service training or get new staff.

  • Giorgio Shaunette

I found some great deals there on name brand outdoor goods. I'm glad they're on the other end of town from me. This way I only visit occasionally and put more thought into the selection process. They rearranged the store. I liked it better when the shoe racks were center and there was lots of space to try on shoes, but the new layout worked ok.

  • Soren Coughlin-Glaser

You can find some great deals on outdoor clothing here. It's got a random assortment of brands and probably stuff that was overstocked or didn't sell somewhere else. I've found great deals on socks, jackets, base layers, and hats. Then they have some tents and sleeping bags and stuff, but I'd say the best deals are on clothing closeouts

  • JoAnn Gillmer

The store was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly without being overbearing. The selection was somewhat limited in the sizes we were looking for, which isn't especially unusual, but the prices for what they had were competitive. Unfortunately we didn't find what we were looking for. But we will visit again

  • J Man

It's gone downhill since it was bought by a major corporation but it still has great deals. Not cheap enough for some people though, I saw some black guy stuff a backpack full of gear and walk right out the door. Female employee saw too but she couldn't do anything but call the cops. By that time he was long gone.

  • Monika Piazza

We always find a lot of good stuff here for much better prices than at the big stores that sell these items at full retail. Brands like Columbia, Obermeyer, and Nike are sold here at very discounted prices....very cool. If you are looking for nice winter stuff, this is the place to get a deal. We just stocked up!

  • Buell

The Portland store is big and has no sales tax. I do miss the old STP. A manager on 2.24.2023 had to deal with corporate ridiculousness just to sell me a simple pair of shoes. It took forever. But he powered through, and then even decided to take a few bucks off to apologize. That was frustrating, but awesome.

  • Jennifer Anne

I always find something here, even when I don't make it into the clothing section. They have workout equipment, tons of bags and backpacks, and lots of outerwear. They even have a small camping and fishing section, and some pet supplies. They don't have as many shoes as I would expect at a store this size.

  • Eric “morro2125” Reyes

Hey everyone if you are looking for a great Xmas gift and a good quality product and cheap in a way this is the store for you price is just a bit higher than Ross or Burlington store but way better stuff great selection of man's clothes you'll find from work clothes to casual wear . Strongly recommend it

  • Andrew Gee

Great store! Very clean and well laid out with huge selection of hiking and camping gear. Great deals on clothes and shoes! I got a pair of nice Carhartt jeans for $1.50 that's not a typo! They get fresh stock regularly so I try to stop by anytime I'm in the area! So happy to have found this store!

  • Matt Romey

Another business I will never shop again. They continue to require masks regardless of anything. I will just give my money to Amazon instead of helping local businesses. Good luck with the upcoming lock downs I hope the staff the best of luck finding new jobs when they shut down again.

  • Justin Lee

This place is like Ross for outdoor apparel. Really great selection of top brand items at about half as much as one would pay at REI. Almost bought a puff jacket at REI for a little over $200 and found the same one here for $100. Definitely doing all my outdoor clothing shopping here.

  • Fiona Ryan

Felt like I was shopping at an REI garage sale, only worse. Completely underwhelming selection of goods. Limited quantities of shoes and clothing for women. Camp foods were unfamiliar brands. Men's coats (rain jackets, parkas etc.) were the only things I found with a decent selection.

  • Xandie Cash

don’t get me wrong, i do love this store so much but they kicked everybody out by 8pm because they said it’s holiday hours which i don’t see any calendar on the door. just regular hours and it said 9:30pm. i arrived there 7:40pm. i drove all way from gresham. what a such waste gas.

  • Christine Althen

Great customer service and great inventory of products. Because of covid and not being able to try things on, I had to return an item and then ended up buying more because they have such great stuff! Love this store for outdoor and workout clothing and products. Great prices!

  • Holly S

Really good selection of outdoor gear sometimes past season or discontinued colors but new quality. Significant selection with many sizes of camping gear and home furnishings as well as shoes and boots, sandals and outerwear. Lots of parking and easy access at Jantzen Beach.

  • Alondra Lozoya

Ok so this store I thought it was just gear for sports and camping. To my surprise I loved it. Not only did they have camping and sporting goods. But they had shoes clothing and things for your home and pets. I will sure come back to see more stuff. And good prices

  • James Quon

This is a really fun store. It's a combination of outdoor living and recreation, sporting goods and casual life store. It has clothing, equipment and supplies for active families. This is an outlet store located on Hayden island. Prices are generally discounted.

  • J G (Greennumber9)

As a former employee and from a customer viewpoint, Sierra has a very welcoming atmosphere, they take PPE very seriously and the store is very clean, lots of great deals on outdoor gear and easy to navigate through the store. Would return to shop and work there.

  • Sasha Carina

I would recommend stopping in and checking out their selection. They have quite a variety of merchandise to select from. I went in to find camping chairs and ended up buying shoes. The manager was great, she helped me with purchase and I got a good deal.

  • Micah Gourde

I had a very pleasant on my first trip here. I didn't know what to expect, so I just browsed about. I was asked if I needed help, but I declined and was left alone. It was a spur-of-the-moment trip,so I didn't buy anything. But I will definitely return.

  • Tracy Garcia

Overall a decent place to get some outdoor gear. They are part of the TJ max chain so you can expect that quality and pricing. Which is to say you get what you pay for but definitely worth it. They have clothing and gear so it is a great one stop shop!

  • Chris Gregos

I just recently visited this store for the first time about 2 weeks ago and couldn't believe that I didn't know about it. They have so much awesome outdoor clothing and gear. All name brand stuff like Columbia and North Face but at discounted prices!

  • Colin Weber

Friendly environment and really good prices for name brand merchandise. I got my one year old nephew an under armour sweater and sweatpants for 20$! Staff is always around the store to ask for help. Clean and new building that puts your mind at ease

  • Jason Russell (JayRuss)

Lots of old merchandise that is three season old. Prices are fair when on clearance. Since it's owned by TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Home Goods the same items appear at the same prices. It a hit kor miss place. The store is unorganized and trashed often.

  • Star Fallin

You know it was my first experience with "Sierra" and it reminded me of a run down TJ Maxx . The girl working the door ruined it for me as I will not be returning due to her laziness. Basically I bought a pair of shoes and on the way out

  • Rob Downer

What I like the most about Ciara is how much money I save on outdoor clothing and gear year after year after year. I can’t always find the right sizes inside the store because I happen to wear what I can only assume are popular sizes. I

  • Jeff Held

News Flash!!! It’s 2023 and takes less than 5 min to update your business hours on Google. Drove across town only to find out you closed 1.5 hours early. I wasn’t the only person here thinking you’d be open.

  • J Chambers

Discount outdoor clothing & gear. Discontinued, irregulars, unpopular colors, odd sizes , last year's model, are the bulk of the stock they carry. Hit or miss if you will find what you are looking for.

  • Hempress Carijuana

We found everything we needed (mainly rainnoots for the family) at a spectacular price and great quality. The staff was more than helpful and friendly. We will be back soon for Christmas Shopping!

  • Kaitlyn Gomes

Cute shoes, cashmere sweaters at half the cost? I'm sold! Love shopping here in person and online. I've bought all of my camping gear, outdoor wear, and cutest boots from here. Highly recommend!

  • Brendon Johnson

More suitcases and goofy trinkets . Not as much camp gear or good outdoor clothes. It's becoming more like a Ross, I'm afraid. You can still find some decent clothes, socks , etc. Though.

  • David B

Nice people, easy to work with… Also, while in the store I happened to overhear Some exchanges between the store manager and her team. She was great, supportive, uplifting, encouraging…

  • Dan Brown

How in the heck have I not been to this place before?? It's the Ross of outdoor stores. So much to chose from and the prices are much lower than any brick and mortar I've come across!

  • Dashd

Great spot for bargain hunting. Good amount of name brands. Not all prices are great, but the deals are there. Good selection of outdoor focused products and clothes. Fun to browse.

  • Vivian R Fernandez Lentz

Associates are friendly, good deals, but after the holidays not much selection of merchandise…But, I always come back to this store every month for checking what new items arrived!

  • Lindsy Palisca

Great deals on quality clothes and outdoor goods. At end of season was able to not only find a big selection but prices were even more discounted. Yoga pants and tops for $10-$15.

  • matthew siegel

I mostly go getter for the dog treats and dog toys. But this place is the Marshall's of outdoor gear. Everything is very cheap. You never know what you're going to find.

  • Mark Chase

Good deals. Lots of the shoe racks were empty. Guess they got cleared out during the holiday. Normally there is a large selection. Friendly and helpful staff.

  • Constance Norona

Some great deals, in a clean and well organized store with truly terrific staff. We often find fun items like gourmet potato chips that are bonus-fun.

  • Jennifer Brown

Great selection of outdoor brands. Owned by the max so layout is familiar with outdoor supplies also workout clothes and great clearance sections.

  • Jason Vance

Not a bad place to shop, it's owned and run along with I believe homegoods and TJmax. Very similar vibes though they all have some differences

  • Taylor Lappier

great deals on great products, but the employee dress code is lacking. I don't want to see those things when im shopping with my family.....

  • Bianca Uhl

It's ok. Plenty of things to buy, not too much help in finding stuff. But if you know what you want n know your products, you can score.

  • Jim Cornwall

I didn't buy anything on this visit but I saw some things I might buy in the future and I felt they had good prices. Very nice store!

  • Jeff Lantz

Smart shoppers can find good deals and nice clothing. Homeless in area requires locked bathrooms. Parking is normally easy.

  • Carolyn Brown

What a fun place to shop! Great prices and a mixture of outdoor stuff, clothes, shoes, housewares etc. I loved this place!

  • Abdul Kwele

one of their employees kindel always makes my shopping process better, she’s a really friendly and accommodating employee

  • Stafford Green

Clean store. Sometimes you find good things... Sometimes you don't. Worth the effort because the panning can get gold!

  • Marcus

Lots of great stuff, honestly. Like many other stores, though, not enough pants or shorts in my waist size (size 42).

  • Leonid Tsaruk

I came here all the way from battleground and the store said it closes at 9:30 but it closed at 8 without any notice

  • Vin MacLeod

Love this store very reasonably priced. Great product good trusted name brands and a clean store. Will be back

  • Jacob Fischer

It's an alright store. Although it is billed as an outdoor store, it is really just another Ross or TJ Maxx.

  • Ryan Heckroth

Lot of great stuff for cheap, but still haven't updated hours during weekday and weekends. Closes at 8pm

  • Raiden

Terrible selection, prices seemed good for water bottles and some kid trinkets. Not sure I'd come back.

  • Chuck Sheppard

Found my Keen shoes for the third of a price !! And the very next I bought another set of keen shoes.

  • Robert Leary

Really nice clean new store with a great selection of items you might not find it most other places.

  • Desmond Hui

New and big shop. Staff was polite and helpful. Bought some outdoor items here with very good price.

  • Charles Wang

Great selection and value. Better than Marshalls or TJ Maxx even though they are sister companies.

  • Jeannie Wright

Cheap prices. A must for sports enthusiasts looking for clothes. Minnetonka slippers cheap.

  • Melissa Normington

Friendliest service! Jesse was super kind, and gave great recommendations Would recommend!
