My wife and I ordered 2 Burnco BIGBAG SCREENED LOAM/TOP SOIL (2 yards) for a back yard project. What we received was more along the lines of clay loam that was not screened one bit. The amount of large clumps (some as large as a cat or a small dog) was ridiculous and forced us to do an enormous amount is work to get it ready for the sod. Now we’re going to need additional soil before we can do what we need to do. :Edit Burnco reached out to make things right and since I needed some premium topsoil to put onto the clay loam I erroneously received, they offered to send me 3 yards (just had to pay for the delivery so $105). The driver was on time but unfortunately still had some pea gravel in the box before they loaded the premium garden mix so I have some pea gravel in the mix. It would have been much more but we left about 5 wheelbarrows full of soil in the box so as to not get the full amount of pea gravel. When I told Burnco about the pea gravel, she offered to have me come down with my pick up to grab what was left in the dump box, nice gesture.

I purchased over $25,000 of expocrete and Barkman rock product from Burnco last August, 20 to complete a walkway patio and fire pit.. The product I was given had issues right away with a white haze over the entire walkway. first thought it was efflorescence we properly cleaned it and sealed it in June and thought it was fixed but not the case, a year later we still have a patio walk way and fire pit that looks white. I called and was ghosted by Burnco expocrete and Barkman none of them want to take responsibility or provide a solution to fix the issue. I would highly recommend finding another product from another supplier and distributor, the customer service has been horrible and has left us having to file a small claims against them to get any results, save your time, energy and money and go elsewhere. if you want more info please feel free to email me. DONT USE BURNCO!

There are some great products here (east Edmonton location) and it is easy to see why it is a favorite for landscaping companies. But, as a homeowner doing small projects, I haven't felt like there was much interest in assisting me either at the customer service counter or in the yard. My sister told me of a similar experience this week where she was struggling getting some buckets in to her vehicle while yard workers who were not busy at all watched on. If Burnco is interested in the customer experience it would work on this. Knowledgeable and interested staff, and some assistance with the heavy stuff would go a long way.

This was my first time going here for landscaping materials. Needed some sod and grey limestone rock that I couldn't find anymore at the regular box stores. The sod was extremely healthy and looks awesome. What a great idea. Buy a pail and fill it free with whatever landscaping rock you want. I only needed enough for touchups and was cheaper than buying it elsewhere previously prebagged. Was in and out in no time and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Thanks yard guy for doing all the loading in my truck! Convenient location as well. Will be my first stop next year for all my landscaping supplies!

Went to Burnco to get some gravel and mulch today. I wanted the gravel in my truck bed and mulch in the trailer to keep them seperate. The loader just went and dumped both in my trailer, didn't even ask where I needed it. I tried to honk to stop him but it was too late. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, the guy just said, "well what do you want me to do about it now?" So I had to unload the pile of rocks manually before I could access my mulch. Very frustrating. Would not recommend.

WOW! Burnco Edmonton East gives EXCEPTIONAL customer service. My mind is just boggled right now. I went in there and there were four beautiful girls greeting me in the store, they all said hello and were genuinely concerned with how I was doing. They gave very clear specific instructions on their system of product purchasing and made extremely accurate calculations! I had the EXACT amount of product needed for the project I have been working on! I will definitely be back to buy more!

Had a few inquiries through email and received quick and friendly responses. Easily ordered what I needed online and was delivered next morning as requested. Driver was quick and friendly and put the Big Bags exactly where I wanted them. The Big Bags are so convenient and beats the heck out of just dumping a pile of lose rock on your driveway. Will definitely be ordering from them again when landscape supplies are needed! Thanks for the great service.

Really great customer service. I ordered 2 yards of road crush on May long weekend and they delivered within 2 hours of my order, even though they were super busy. Delivery driver was super friendly and cheerful. All the staff I dealt with went out of their way to help us, and I really didn't mind paying for the convenience of delivery, because they took the word "convenience" to a new level. I will definitely go back there for landscaping supplies.

Purchased top soil today and there was alot of clay in the soil mix. There is no way any screening process would not have caught the canadian football sized clumps and removed them. When you breakup the big clumps into smaller clumps, you can make them into many shapes; reminded me of playdoo. Very disappointed in the product and would never purchase from then again ......... On the positive side, the staff is very friendly.........

Ordered and paid for decorative rock. Next day told they don't carry the rock in question. BURNCO is clearly an amateur operation, nobody should be able to order and pay for something they evidently never had in the first place. Don't waste your time trying to work with these clowns, they sell you on one thing to bait and switch you to something else. Not at a trustworthy business.

Went here to get a few loads of Rock Crush. They have an excellent streamlined process for getting you loaded and on your way. Staff is friendly, organized and quick to help. Ive had some frustrating experiences with Classic Landscapes with getting material, these guys knock it out of the park even if they do cost a little bit more!

Ordered a BigBag of garden mix online. They delivered it fast right to my driveway. Good quality, I only found one small rock in the entire bag, which is a full cubic yard. No clumps, and it was easy to shovel and spread around. I'm no dirt expert, but it sure looked good to me. Sales and delivery staff were friendly and helpful.

How about easy peasy. I wanted birch firewood for the goddess ceremony and they had beautiful wood perfectly dry and clean. I got enough for about 5 fires minimum for 30 bucks. How bout dat. You pull in and weigh your car before and after. Score! Remember that the WEST END LOCATION is where they keep the firewood now.

We planned on building a patio (Flagstone) for our back yard and planned on using on of the big box stores for the product. The South Common store let us down so we went to Burnco just of the Sherwood Park Freeway. Great knowledge, great price and very good service. I would use these guys again for sure.

  • Daryl Huff

Bought a firepit kit but was astonished they charged me $35 for pallett. I understand wood costs have increased. But what annoys me is that I returned the pallett in perfect condition and I only get $25 back?! Why don't I get all my money back? The junior cashier couldn't explain other than its policy.

The ladies working on the weekend are awesome! Very helpful, friendly and all around nice ladies. The one in particular is so nice (sorry didn't get your name But I think you know who you are). Awesome place and I'll be back! Love this place. (hint:) Burnco Rocks!

  • Tanya

It was easy to order online and use their calculator for how much rock I needed. Their suff priced well. It arrived when I had requested, and the driver was super friendly. He even dumped the rock exactly where I asked. I will definitely be using them again!

  • Bronwyn Vick

We usually have a great experience here, the front staff are helpful and positive but the woman operating the loader was extremely rude and unprofessional to all of us today. It's too bad because it has been great otherwise and the product is awesome.

  • Luke Thibodeau

Purchased a yard of top soil - it was absolutely unusable. Full of clay and massive unbroken chunks of hard packed dirt. Had to bring over half of it back and dump it in the contaminated pile. Whyte Ave Landscape Supply had 100x better top soil.

I called Burnco Landscape Centre at the 7811-44a street location, asked if I could return retaining wall blocks. She said yes and never mentioned a return policy. I went down to the 44a street location and mentioned I wanted to do a return.

I rented a truck and picked up a load of topsoil from Burnco. It had so many clumps that I had to rake it off my lawn, and go get another load from Jils landscaping. Waste of time and money, now I have to deal with cleaning up and disposing

I purchased 2 yards of topsoil from the Burnco east Edmonton location yesterday, the staff was easy to deal with and I was loaded and on my way quickly. However as i was unloading the soil I found that there was a fairly high percentage of

I went there couple times. They have good deals for concrete tiles all the times but if you are going to take whole pilot then they will give you option take whole pilot and pay deposit of $35 and you will get only $25 back when you return

Went there today to pick up four pallets of paving stones. The fork lift drivers went out of their way to load them correctly and even wrapped the partial pallets with shrink wrap to make it easier to haul. I added some pavers after the

They do sell firewood here. You came in, stop on a weight platform, they weight your vehicle (tare), give you an order number. You then proceed to go pick up what you want (bring your own container, bags...), come back to the weight;

Online hours say open at 7am. When I call the voicemail says they don't open until 8am. It is a good thing I called rather than drive for 20 minutes to find out you are still closed. Get your hours right.

  • Debbie Brendan

They listed medium fir bark at $90/yard. Went to pick it up and found out they charge by weight (they tare your truck and then weigh you after they load you). I ordered a yard and ended up paying $120!

  • Right Now Covered

Terrible experience I had this week. Their hours of operation are 9 - 17 but they close their gate at 16:45 or sooner. I drove 45 minutes to get there before 5 and they did not open the gate for me

  • Nicola Burger

Joyce my delivery driver did a great job, nice clean pile exactly where I wanted it, ordered the product the night before and it was delivered by 11am the next day. Friendly and efficient

  • Trish Gabruck

Amazing service! Thanks especially to Colleen who was willing to adjust our order last minute. Will certainly go back and will definitely refer to friends and family:) Thanks SiteOne!

  • Jenn Balaban

Ordered 2 big bags of the round rock and it was priced great, showed up on time, and makes our yard look that much better. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

  • APS Landscaping

Nathan is great. His effort and help is greatly appreciated. Orders are taken efficiently and when there is an issue, he is always available to sort it out.

  • Rachael Vaugeois

Firewood at SiteOne is $70/30 pieces=$2.33 each. Or go to the Husky and get dry wood for $13.99/12 pieces =$1.17. Bring back Burnco.

  • Harry D

Road crush is black with high mud content. Do you want that growth medium in your cement mix or under your pavers?

  • Big Nate

A good place to pick up rock especially, at times can be a tight squeeze but otherwise a good process.

  • Julianne Deer

Amazing staff! And their yard is very clean! You won’t have to worry about getting dirty!

  • Cole Cooper

Older guy in the yard was rude and unhelpful. Made me extremely uncomfortable.

  • Gerry Fox

Awesome, very friendly staff and knowledgeable about the products.
