This is an excellent place to access the trails along Temescal Canyon and all the way up to Temescal Peak or down to the parking lot. You can also see Skull Rock, and veer off to the waterfall as well. The top is quite sunny and is mostly downhill if you're going to Skull Rock. It is relatively easy if you stay on the trail marked by signs but can get difficult with the loose rocks and sand if you go the other ways. Wear shoes with good grip and ankle protection if you do find yourself on these trails. You can see the ocean the whole trail! There is a parking lot here and bathrooms which were very very dirty and not useable.
Nature did its thing! Easy to find, easy to hike with a few peaks. Great for someone who wants a simple, breathtaking view, a classic sunset & a quick nature vibrational tune up Nothing better than taking a deep breath of natures finest. Sending you LOVE the moment you read this ❤️✨⚡️

I’m pretty sure I’ve taken the wrong trail both times… It kind of leads off into the middle of nowhere towards the ocean, and it’s a nice little trail, but I’m pretty sure I missed the golden route both times. Pay attention at the very beginning
Nice trail with some ups and downs, with some really nice views from few spots. Suggest wearing clothing on legs, the trail is thin at places with shrubs next to it and it might scratch the legs.

Not the most involved or strenuous hike, but a great place for a quick afternoon of exploration, hiking, and climbing.
A nice place for a hike with friends. Not so much with children. The restroom at the trailhead is not functioning.
Very dry, open trail. Nice views of downtown LA and beach coast
