I recently read a meme that said "You can't buy happiness, but you can buy cupcakes and that's kind of the same thing!" My interpretation of that? Keep calm, get your life, and have yourself a cupcake (or two)- from Smallcakes! I love sweets and Lord knows I LIVE for a good cupcake which is why I always pay this place a visit when my sweet tooth kicks in. With so many different flavors, it's sometimes hard to choose but I can truly say most of the cupcakes I've had from here have been really good. They are super moist and fulfilling, and did I mention huge? At $3.75 per cupcake, you DO get your money's worth! It seems as though the cakes have gotten a tab bit smaller, but are still sizable for a cupcake. They use buttercream frosting which is my favorite- definitely the "icing on the cake" to the experience, pun intended. There are a couple flavors I've had where I felt like the icing was way too sweet though- the Pink Vanilla being one as well as the Red Velvet cupcake. Warning: they are very heavy handed with the frosting. That being said, the struggle to keep your cupcake from tumbling over gets REAL half way through the smash. If you lose that fight, don't feel bad. It happens to the best of us. Some of my favs are the Peanut Butter Cup, Carrot Cake, and my absolute favorite- the Blueberry cake! That Blueberry cupcake is life! It's a specialty flavor so when they have it I always end up buying one because it tastes as if it's made from scratch. One time they had a Margarita flavored cupcake that I tried just because I was curious. So glad I did because it was ever-ry-thing! They even have a Lemon flavored cupcake that I'm a fan of and I don't even care for Lemon flavored stuff. My suggestion is to always try their specialty flavors, which in my opinion are better than the regular ones. If you happen to swing by close to closing time, the pickings tend to be pretty slim. At that point you are pretty much stuck with what's left from the day. Aside from having really good cupcakes, the employees here are very nice- always greeting you with a smile and sometimes a little conversation. Do ask for a loyalty card if you plan on being a regular. You get a stamp for every cupcake you purchase. 12 stamps= a free cupcake on your next visit. Clearly, I must keep my visits here to a minimum for obvious reasons- my workouts would be in vain and I'd be humongous. BUT a cupcake every now and again ain't never hurt nobody, right? That being said I will continue coming here to get my sweet tooth fix because my love for cupcakes just can't be shook. As long as Smallcakes is around, I'm sure I won't be shaking it off no time soon!

I have always LOVED Smallcakes ever since they opened, however, I have always just went in for an occasionally delicious cupcake for myself, a friends special day, and MOSTLY for PUPCAKES ! Yes I spoil my canines with PUPCAKES ! Today 12-31-18 this very LAST day of 2018, my sister suprized our family by coming all the way from Wisconsin to uplift our Daddy's spirits as he is in the hospital with pneumonia. Today is also her birthday, but with no notice what so ever I wasn't prepared. After calling Three Brothers Bakery (where we always get our birthday cakes) and being treated very rudely, I thought well Smallcakes might be able to help me out ! I called and the owner (though very busy with 4 other birthday orders I mind you) was POLITE, EAGER and READY to ACCEPT MY ORDER and SAVE THE DAY FOR ME !!!!! They offer full size cakes but I chose cupcakes thinking it would be easier in the hospital. I told him my sisters favorites and he said No Problem ! With a tear of happiness and a huge smile on my face I thanked him for saving the day ! I highly recommend this bakery not only for the incredibly delicious sweets but for the AMAZING, FRIENDLY, POSITIVE and INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!

I ordered a Birthday cake and a dozen cupcakes for party last friday. The cake is chocolate flavor with Raspberry whipped cream filling. It is very dry and I am not a fan of the taste either. The decorator was friendly but the end product is a disaster. The butter cream on the top and around the cake was dry and cracked all over. At $100 for a 10-inch cake I would definitely shouldn't have witnessed any of this. Now for the cupcakes I ordered them in vanilla flavor with strawberry whipped cream topping. The topping tasted synthetic like and inedible. I threw away all the 12 cupcakes and the price is around $26 for the cupcakes. I would completely stay away from this place if you do not want your event to be a disaster. PS: I have ordered birthday cakes and cupcakes 2-3 times in the past (my last order was in january before the last week one) which turned out awesome for the looks and taste. The old decorator was pretty good. This is a different decorator, though I am not very confident this time I thought at least the taste would be the same. But I was wrong. I will never go back.

Today was my first time visiting this business, which I advised the employee. I complimented her on the amazing smell of the shop. Pros: Availability/Variety: All of the flavors were available. Presentation: The cupcakes looked amazing and can be seen close up. Other: The cupcake was moist. Cons: Size: The regular would be considered a small at a competitor. I could have bought boxed cake mix and had more for the same price. Taste: Ordered Wedding Cake; and it had no almond taste. The frosting tastes like Crisco - not butter or cream. Price: Too much for such a small cupcake. Then, I’m allergic to nuts and also got Carrot Cake. So I asked for 2 separate boxes, like I’m used to at a competitor’s business and was charged $1.00. Seriously? I won’t be back - will stick with the competition.

I thought this place was amazing! Parking is shared with other stores and shops but that shouldn't be a problem. Service was bubbly and helpful. The shop it's self is cozy. It's not made for long hours of conversation. I'm speaking from experience. It seats 8-10ppl at one time. It's a bright decorum that is inviting. I can't tell you about taste because it's subject, but I enjoyed my cupcakes. I posted a photo of the cupcakes they have. Everyday they have 5 specialized cupcakes made for that day. You'll have to check in to see what they are. They offer whip icing which is appealing. Try a cupcake shake. My friend said it was, "delectable!" I would definitely recommend this establishment to ppl with a sweet tooth. I do think $3.65 for a cupcake is expensive but that's me.

I just want to take this time out of my day to really appreciate Smallcakes and their amazing staffs. I placed an order for a unicorn cake . One of the best cake ever but unfortunately it didn’t make it to the party. On my way to the party the cake lean to the side, i was panicking and crying. I called Smallcakes and explained what exactly happened. The amazing Smallcakes told me they will baked 24 cupcakes for the party. My stress and anxiety left when i arrived to the store and saw how beautiful the cupcakes was… one of the BEST CUPCAKES EVER! Birthday girl and i appreciate all of you. Thank you guys for making my daughter birthday the best yesterday.

I’ve never had the cupcakes here but I have ordered custom made cakes. For my birthday three years in a row I’ve had the pleasure of working with small cakes to design awesome cakes. They sit down with you and go over the design and do custom everything. Prices are fair and the cakes were always delivered on time. They have alcoholic cake and icing flavors as well which is very interesting. They do the best they can and have met or exceeded my expectations when I asked for a challenging design. Wish I could show you the last I cake I order for a coworkers 15 year anniversary. Which was done in gold foil and roses with a blueberry cheesecake interior.

A good store to order cupcakes from. They always have plenty of selection at hand, even during lunch hour and after work. The owner or head manager is very nice, I met her once. My husband won a dozen cupcakes here and there was a kerfuffle for a few days with all the different people who worked the front and didn't understand why I'm picking up the cupcakes for my husband and not him and then we got a call from the manager who said she'd handle it personally. We went home smiling with a dozen cupcakes to share with the family. Very clean store and would recommend.

Large variety of different types of cupcakes but may not have a lot of stock at the time we went in the afternoon. Solid cupcakes for the area. Not huge, but a nice dessert treat. I think their parfaits were much better than their cupcakes. We had the vanilla cupcake and we wished they used more vanilla or perhabs vanilla bean to accent the flavor more. The wedding cake cupcake was not overly sweet but did not have that strong flavor either. We also bought the super cute dog cupcakes which our dog loved. We would definitely come back to try other cakes.

The cupcakes are absolutely delicious and bigger than a regular cupcake!!! I just ate the chocolate chocolate fudge and I highly recommend this company. One thing I might suggest to the owners is an espresso machine to serve lattes, etc. I just stopped in there after lunch with some of my work colleagues and they were wishing that Smallcakes had other options other than the cupcakes and the home made ice cream they serve. I'm sure it would increase revenue.

This review is not on the cupcakes I purchased. However, it’s regarding the transaction. On Friday, 10/29/2021 I purchased some cupcakes. The lady told me I removed my card too fast, so I slid it back in the machine. Until today, 2 charges were pending. I now have 2 purchases and am left having to get a refund from my bank. I feel that Smallcakes should have rectified the issue. Going forward, I will not use my card if I ever get cupcakes from here again.

I rarely say something about this place but I was lil disappointed today since it's my birthday. I went to go get my birthday cupcake like always and this time wasn't able to because the cashier day before cashed in my cupcake but never gave me my cupcake. She told me I would have to come on my birthday. I did and this cashier didn't want to give me the cupcake, she told me it was already cashed in even though I told what happen. Not fair.

The cupcakes are beautiful and delicious and the staff are friendly. The first time I went in, I had no trouble getting my order in a timely fashion. However, on my second trip, they opened the store a few minutes late and they didn't have over half of the cupcakes frosted or even out to look at. When a business opens at 10am, I expect them to be ready for full service. If they improve on this, it will be a much more enjoyable experience.

Very moist, lots of flavor and melt in your mouth icing. Carrot cake cupcake was the best I've ever had & tasted homemade. I can't say enough about the homemade ice cream which was my favorite part of the visit. The gentleman helping urged us to taste test all flavors to find the one we liked the most. The ice cream was delicious...felt like it was made at my grandparents house in the summer. We will definitely return.

I have bought cupcakes here for a few years and lovveee them. We decided to order the cake for my baby’s 1st bday here recently, and Stephanie did an amazing job! It was absolutely stunning. Definitely went above & beyond what we expected, just gorgeous! Everyone raved about how beautiful and delicious it was. This location smallcakes memorial made my daughter's sweet sixteen cake . Beautiful cake and delicious. I wish I could show a picture. This location staff were very nice, professional and patient. Horrible! I would not use this place for Birthday or Special occasion cakes. The attached pics shows the cake I requested vs the cake they actually did. The cake on the left pic, without the decor on top is the cake they did vs the cake on the right is the one I requested. They could not even do a simple decor. You are taking a risk if you have them decorate your cake.

I went into Smallcakes to purchase a unicorn cupcake for my daughter. However there wasn't any unicorn cupcakes, but Michael the associate ask me if I wanted one, and if so he would make one. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! AND.......a special thanks to Michael for making my little girl's day! Not only are the cupcakes great! but they also have great customer service!!

There was an extra charge for a box. And and extra charge for a pup cake container. They put it in a zip lock bag. $1 for a zip lock bag and $1 for a box. No other smallcakes location does this. Cashier did not want to give me a receipt which I thought was weird and I left unsure if I was scammed or not. I recommend going somewhere else.

This is a very clean and nice cupcake place. Everything looks fresh, and the quality of customer service is excellent. They serve ice-cream at this location but it is not listed on the main order board. They should put a sign on the window stating they have ice-cream. That had a very honest and kind young lady working there. Good vibes.

Ours was a last minute request for a Super Mario theme cake. They not only took our request, but delivered beautifully. I made a few boo boos along the way, but they were super sweet and took it all in their stride. And not to mention how delish the cake was! Thank you so much for your efforts and the beautiful cake!

First time here, the experience was not what I imagine, compared to all the other small cakes i have been too. The mini Cannoli is old and left a bad taste in my mouth. Taste more like frosting inside and not a true Cannoli. No words for the 2 cake pops I bought also, over price for no good reason.

I swung by here for the first time today to pickup cupcakes for my mom's birthday. I picked out the Blueberry, Lemon, Pink Buttercream and some sort of chocolate vanilla cupcake. They were so good! We just cut them up and tasted them all. Will definitely be going back. Such a good simple gift!!

Quick and painless. Went in with no idea as to what to buy, but I went out with the right stuff for the meeting. Great job lady at the counter! Only thing I would criticize would be the packaging. If it could keep the smallest cupcakes in place at an angle, the product would be the best.

I got 4 different types of cupcakes for myself and coworkers. Everyone thought they were delicious! My pet peeve is to have a dry cupcake, and these certainly did not fit that description. They are super moist with really good flavor. Great presentation too, and friendly service!

I hate when businesses do not update their hours. Drove 20 minutes just to find out they now close 1.5 hours early. So annoying! Then you put the worlds smallest sign on the door so people HAVE to get out in order to read your new hours that you haven’t put on the website.

*Missouri City Location* The flavors are OK but they are literally just "OK". The chocolate peanut butter cake is good but the frosting is flavorless. I tried Key lime (my fav cupcake flavor) and it didn't taste of lime at all. The carrot cake is good though.
