I’m a beer drinker first and foremost and when I look for beer, I also look for atmosphere. Beer gardens are naturally one of my favorite places to visit and a beer garden in the Houston are that has most everything I like in a beer garden plus a little bit more is Social Beer Garden HTX. Social Beer Garden HTX has two levels with a large, well- stocked bar that has about 40 different beers from which to choose along with just about every type of liquor you could possibly desire. The main level has a good deal of seating and space while the upper level is set aside for video games, pool, pinball, and more. The main attraction at Social Beer Garden HTX is the outdoor garden. And the main feature of the garden is the large outdoor viewing screen, perfect for catching your favorite sports action. There are other large viewing screens in the Houston area, but they are almost entirely on the inside. This might very well be the largest outdoor viewing screen in Houston. Besides the large screen, the other standout at Social Beer Garden HTX is the outdoor lawn chairs and hammocks. The lawn chairs make sitting extra comfortable and who doesn’t like having a hammock on which to swing? If you get hungry, you can walk up to the food truck of your choosing and place an order. There are usually food trucks back here, but I recommend calling ahead, just to be certain. Service is prompt and attentive at Social Beer Garden HTX. The beer can wall display on the stairwell, the beer stein display, and the beer tap handle display are icing on the cake. When you consider everything, Social Beer Garden HTX has just about everything you could want in a beer garden, and it earns and enthusiastic recommendation from me.

We booked the upstairs space at Social for a reception for our graduate program, and it was the perfect space to kick off the new year and enjoy conversation, games, and beverages. Myles and Mike were great to work with and took time to ensure we could throw a rad party and still stay within our budget. KK was an amazing and attentive server and did a great job handling our rather large and chaotic group. We would happily book this venue in the future for other events. The only issue we ran into is that we thought there would be more vegetarian options than there were. It turned out the rice and beans both had meat or stock added, and since the fajita veggies were all mixed with the meat, there wasn't really much the vegetarian folks could eat besides guacamole. Next time, I would be more diligent about confirming the ingredients of each dish ahead of time and the availability of vegetarian options so that I could be sure everyone would be able to eat. Otherwise the fajitas were very tasty and folks enjoyed the food!

Vibe- Such a cool spot to hangout at! It’s giving Friday night vibes, girl’s night! There’s plenty of space inside, there’s hammocks and plenty of tables outside downstairs, and plenty of tables upstairs too with a great view of the city! There’s food trucks there each night and you can find out which ones will be there on the websites. Customer service- Great! All the staff was kind and nice! Food/drinks- I got some food from the THINK TACOS food truck that was there; they made me a veggie taco situation with potatoes, pico, cilantro, and a guacamole like green sauce with some fries. It was so good!!!! Parking- The best parking ever! There’s an entire lot behind the spot with plenty of free parking spots.

First time here and so far I’d give it a 9/10. It’s very close to my house & Happy Hour Prices were great, and I also love that they do reverse happy hour after 7pm Mon-Thur as well. Drinks were good! Had an Old Fashioned, Mexican Candy shot, and vodka soda with lime. All delicious! Atmosphere was nice. Only change I would make are the bar chairs. So many bars and restaurants have the same style chairs and I just feel that they’re uncomfortable, but of course, just my opinion. Staff was super friendly and bathrooms are very clean and trendy too! I can’t wait to return during the spring to enjoy the outside patios. Overall, I’ll definitely be back.

NEW FAVORITE CASUAL BAR. Literally love everything about this place. Great presentation, little touches everywhere in the design. CLEAN bathrooms and spaces. Awesome selection of vodkas. Sitting hammocks were dope. Garden, outdoor games, indoor game room, balcony, main bar - the spices were just so diverse it really felt like it would help eliminate crowding. We were there at open, so it was empty (loved that to be honest). Had a Ketel One (grapefruit rose) Screwdriver, and it was the best drink I’ve ever tasted. I hate the taste of liquor and hate sugary drinks (stomach and headaches) but this drink was perfect.

Loved this place. Very nice place to be social and hangout. Came to watch the UFC fight. It was packed but still plenty of room to sit. They got couches, stools for their tall tables, hammocks, picnic tables, beanbag chairs, and more. All kinds of games to play as well. The staff from the taco truck and the ones selling tamales were very friendly and even the staff cleaning up were polite. The bartenders weren't as friendly or helpful. But I will definitely come back I just won't be visiting the bar side.

Came here on a Friday night during an Astros game. There was plenty of space and my group enjoyed tacos from the taco truck on site. There also was a burger/BBQ vendor whipping up food that smelled really good (will try on next visit)! Inside, there's a good selection of beers and specialty cocktails, of which we tried a few and they were solid. Lastly, there was a burlesque show later in the evening that was a fun surprise that my group enjoyed. Overall this is definitely a hangout spot that I will be coming back to!

I had a blast! Atmosphere was great, and I loved that I could bring my dog in the back. All the staff was great, i dont drink alcohol but did get some food from the truck in the back. I noticed a negative review about someone getting their id checked, which is weird because we had the same bartender and she was super sweet, but professional! everyone in our party got their age verified, and we are all over 30‍♂️ (i dont even order alcohol but still understood the need to have id) No complaints, I am grateful for the chance to have a spot like this in town

Excellent hangout location. Breathtaking selection of draft and canned adult carbonated beverages, large patio with screens for sports, and upstairs area with billiards , darts, and arcade machines. By the way, several of their beers are from local breweries in the same zip code as this beer garden! Seems like a fancy pizza cooking self-help machine was just installed today! States that pizza will be ready in 3 minutes! Unfortunately I had already eaten prior to arriving, but will certainly try this soon!

They have specials almost everyday. They have several events at the end of the week. You can always find something different here and different people. There are games you can play on the second floor such as basketball and pool. The whole layout is fun and interactive. You could host large parties here too and still have room. It's a great place and they have a large selection of specialty beer that rivals flying saucer albeit a little pricier. I would definitely try to get out here as often as you could when you're in the mood to try something new.

This is me and my husband's go to place, especially on Steak Thursday! Boot's BBQ makes an impeccable and flavorful steak that melts in your mouth, perfectly seasoned mashed potates, and the best boudin outside of NOLA. This place has all the necessary elements for a date night or a night out with friends. They host open mic nights on Thursday and hold several different events each week night. They have plenty of local beers on tap and a full bar.

Fun spot to watch the Astros and drink/play. They did not have a taco truck when we went but call ahead to confirm if food is available. We would have stayed longer if we could order food. We were given the option to bring outside food (DoorDash/uber eats). They have ping pong table, dart board (electric and cork board) pool table, few arcade games. Doggies are allowed. Lots of space to spread out. Drinks were good and wide selection of beers too. Great find!

Attended the SDSU Aztecs Basketball arrival party on the Friday afternoon before Final Four weekend. It was awesome; jam packed with Aztecs fans, alumni, ex-players, etc. The beer was varied and great. The service was fast and excellent. I wish they provided food options, but they didn't have food; rather 2 food trucks parked out back. The live DJ on this night was doing a great job providing an awesome mix of music, too.

Absolutely love this place!! The decor is amazing from all the taps on the wall to the beer can lined wall going up the stairs. The restrooms are very unique with keg urinals and barrel sinks. Loved the popcorn they provided to snack on. They have plenty of games upstairs to keep you occupied. Additional restrooms upstairs are a plus! I saw somebody ordered food and it looked amazing. Will definitely be back to try the food.

Excellent chill spot with loads of social games and bear selections. Highly recommend the Tasty AF on tap. Food trucks are on point; the quesadilla and tacos are really good too.

There's so many cool things about this place. Great drinks? Check. Cool atmosphere? Check. Great places for Instagram pics? Check. Food? Check. A ton of beer options (it's in the name!). There's two outdoor sections: one upstairs and the other behind the bar. I like meeting friends here because there's plenty to do besides drink!

This beer garden is like a piece of Brooklyn in Texas. I am in Texas visiting from New York City and I feel right at home at this place. It’s got a beautiful outdoor area with hammocks, a movie screen AND it’s dog friendly! My bartender “Bleu” was super attentive and made the best Irish mule I have ever had!! Totally recommend you stop by here when visiting Houston Texas.

Came to check this place out on a rainy Thursday, the rain had just stopped and gave us a chance to enjoy the outside patio... we loved it. Steak was amazing from the truck, drinks were good & reverse happy hour was coool! We also played trivia. Which was fun! Highly recommend for a great hangout/date night!

Every time I come to social beer garden I have an awesome time. They have a variety of events that are all awesome to experience, especially the Slay All Day Drag Brunch on Saturday afternoons. It is by far the most talented group of people I’ve seen, such a positive and enjoyable experience. Will definitely come back!

My partner and I stumbled into this place as Houston visitors and we got to see the tail end of an amazing drag show - the girls crushed it and it was happy hour even on a Saturday! Clean, sophisticated, and entertaining are three words I would use to describe the Social Beer Garden. The crowd was made up of mature professionals looking to socialize like adults. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and will make sure to visit the next time I'm in Houston.

What a wonderful spot! I was in town and figured I'd try out the Slay All Day Drag Brunch. Absolutely wonderful! The available food trucks served up extra yummy eats and treats. The weather was nice (not too hot yet), so we enjoyed some time outside watching the NCAA game. Next time, I'm coming for the hammocks.

We wanted to check this place out and it did not disappoint. Kid friendly was a plus! They had a taco bus with really good tacos!! Upstairs was fun! We prayed Foosball, there's basketball pool tables and so much more!
