They don't take reservations so you need to be early. We got a towel and bathrobe and a locker. The whole experience was amazing. There are 3 saunas: Finnish, Turkish steam room and Russian. Finnish is the hottest one. There is also a cold deep plunge, a kind of a cold shower made our of a small wooden barrel to cool down and a relaxation area. Food is available with several yummy options. Several kinds of tea are included on the price, you just need to grab the teapot and choose tea of uoir liking. I highly recommend a leaf massage, which costs $20 but gives your body a great healing experience. After that you need to immerse on a clod water and rest in a sauna for 15 minutes. There is a man in a blue t-shirt, who works there, whom you can for this experience. Since I'm claustrophobic I didnt want to immerse completely in a water. He insisted on it though. So he encouraged me to take whole body cold shower which was rejuvenating. His massage with the leafy broom was so interesting. He knows what and how to apply heat on your body. I loved it. That was the highlight of the visit. People there are really friendly and I will come back for the experience soon.I enjoyed it so much that I forgot to take more pics but you can see them with others google guides

My husband and I don't get a babysitter very often, so when we do, we want it to be worthwhile. This was definitely worthwhile. The facility is basically a little hole in the wall. Very unassuming. The atmosphere was very homey. Nothing fancy. It was clean and well kept. I quite enjoyed trying all the saunas, and taking a cold plunge in between. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were bigger than expected from looking at the menu. The Georgian chicken stew was definitely my favourite dish that we tried. The cabbage rolls were also delicious, as was the beef. We finished off the experience with the homemade sour cream cake, which was very good. My only complaint was that the ladies' changeroom was very small, and when someone opens the door, anyone in the hall can see inside. Having said that, it wasn't an issue, and didn't stop us from purchasing a 10 pass. I felt so relaxed, and yet alive after our visit. Looking forward to returning.

Really beautiful place, and extremely good restaurant/bar. The downsides: - Very expensive entrance fee. - Often over crowded, seems they are more interested in cramming heads in this place than people being able to use the sauna comfortably. - The Sauna is consistently too cold. I've been to several Russian saunas in the GTA (as well as some of the oldest in Russia) all of which are higher than 90 degrees celsius. I've yet to come here to find the sauna even at 80. When I asked the sauna attendant to increase the temperature, he told me to wait, when he came in, all he did was add more water (which only he is allowed to do here) We wanted more heat, not humidity. Very much a know-it-all. Doesn't make sense because their second location allows you to add water to the stove, and gets way hotter than 90 celcius. I mentioned the lack of heat to the woman at the front desk, and she didn't have anything to say about this either. Won't be coming back.

1. Overpriced everything 2.There is a waiting list to get to the locker room and electronic key works every other time. 2. Lockers are too small and you'd have to change basically in a doorway. Female stuff will open the door and storm by you without even knocking. Same with female change room. Door is never fully closed. So if you don't want somebody having a strip show on your expense find yourself a far corner to change. 3. Way more people than should be for comfortable relaxation. Imagine standing in line for everything like in Canada's Wonderland but wet and naked. 4. No place to sit and relax. Somebody will be always pushing you either for time or for space. Even inside the sauna and/or banya. 5. OnLy 3 shower heads in total. Ridiculous. 6. Temperature is never there. Everytime we were told to wait "until tourists are gone". All that in a most rude manner.

Went on a weekend and spent over 5 relaxing hours in this cozy space! They provide a robe, towels, slippers and a large locker with electronic key. They also provide shampoo and body wash to shower and sell small tubs of body scrubs. Their lounge area has comfy large leather couches and you feel transported to a cabin or a grandparent’s cozy home. The dining area has lots of options for unlimited self-serve tea, and their food is fantastic. The cabbage rolls and Georgian chicken stew were delicious and they bill your locker# so you don’t need to get money from your locker. The employees were lovely, so helpful and kind even as the day got busier. $60 per person may be a bit expensive for some, but it’s on par with other places I’ve visited. I found a lot of value and peace in my visit and am looking forward to coming back, maybe trying the ladies night next!

I had such a wonderful experience here! I went on a Tuesday (women only) because I'm not quite ready for a co-ed experience, but we got there right at 4 when they open and completely lost track of time...stayed for over 5 hours! It was fairly empty until about 5:30, but never felt crowded, and they are open until midnight so you could definitely go after work! I thought $60 to use the facilities was well worth it and I love that you can bring scrubs and other products into the steam room. The staff are all really friendly, I went with a friend who had been before so she showed me the ropes. There is loose leaf tea included which we enjoyed on the couches in the lounge, and had a wonderful meal. My favourite part was that they serve hearty food, and it was a really welcoming and down to earth atmosphere. Will definitely visit again!

$45 all day includes slippers, bathrobe, towel, lockers, unlimited tea, and ofcourse access to the traditional Russian Banya, a dry Finnish Sauna, a Turkish Hamam, and the cold water barrel. they also offer a russian venik massage ($15). Closed on Mondays. Unisex except for Tuesday (Women only) and Thursday (Men only). i came here with some friends on a saturday evening around 7pm, it was a bit crowded but i didnt mind. everyone was super friendly and respectful. theres a nice lounge area where you can sit on couches, enjoy some tea, and chat with friends/watch the nature channel. the food here is delicious and affordable!!! i recommend the Georgian Chicken stew. The in-house made kombucha is also great. And dont worry, you can chill in your robes :)

This is a really great spot to get those highly benificial sauna sessions in. Traditional Russian and Finish banyas are set to over 85c of heat to make you sweat. Once you have raised your body temperature, take a plunge in the icy water to shock your system and stress your vascular system. The high you get aftwards is intoxicating and yet very relaxing. The eucalyptus steam room is truly amazing. If it's off when you are there, it only takes 5 minutes to get it full of hot steam. The smell is wonderful and very refreshing. Afterwards you can head in the lounge and relax on a couch or grab a pint or some traditional Easter European food. $60 get you in but you can stay as long as you want. The health benefits of a session is well worth the cost.

  • Nicola Chivers

Entrance fee is a bit pricey but food/ drinks are very reasonable and facility is very clean and well maintained. Entrance includes robe/ slippers/ towels/ tea. Typical Sauna Extras are available for nominal charge, plus they usually have felt hats/ exfoliating body scrubs too. Plan to stay 4+ hrs to really get your monies worth. Family run, and very friendly. Staff don’t always have the best English but other patrons are usually very friendly and happy to help newbies with translation/ explaining (proudly and in detail) “proper methods for Russian Sauna detox”. If you plan to go on a weekday be sure to check the schedule as some days are designed as family/ women only/ men only.

  • Nadia Khvan

What was good: the saunas are very nice and clean though the space is somewhat limited and it may get a bit overcrowded on weekends; the girls at the bar and dining area were extremely nice and welcoming; the food was not bad and the teas were really good! What was not good: the rest of the staff members were rude mostly all the time. Perhaps this was because we spoke Russian with them (I noticed they were much nicer to English speaking folks). Every question I asked was addressed with hostile sarcasm that made me feel like I'm not good enough for this place. Sadly, this kind of treatment creates a really bitter experience, although overall it is a decent place.

  • Ekaterina Ishmu

Such an amazing and authentic place that everyone who loves sauna (or wants to try “real banya”) should visit! I’ve been here before and after the pandemic and always excellent service and smiling staff (family business) There are Russian steam room- or Banya, Turkish hammam and Finnish sauna. You also should try the venik massage in banya and scrubs in hammam ($4 at reception desk) and your skin will be like a baby’s. Complimentary tea room with wide selection of tea and decor from the Soviet epoch. And of cause you must try their delicious food and drinks, or as they called it here - "medicine". Highly recommended!

  • Ekaterina Kosyachkova

Authentic family run experience (wife does reception and the husband cooks). You will find 3 types of saunas: Turkish, Russian and Canadian/Finnish style with unique ways to cool down (ice barrel and showers). You must try the venik massage for a true banya experience (extra cost or bring your own)! There is a complimentary tea room with samovar/soviet decor. The food is so good, takes you back to your childhood. The drinks are creative - I recommend the beetroot shots (however it's an acquired taste). Clean, beautifully decorated and most importantly a great time!

  • Marco Hernandez

Great place to go to recharge your proverbial batteries after a long week. I only go with my wife on the weekends when it is mixed gender days. There is a dry sauna, a Turkish steam room, the flagship Russian sauna, an ice cold 4ft deep pool and a cold bucket. So if you need to relax, unwind and get back to your normal self, grab your swimsuit and a change of clothes (towels and bathrobes provided) and head on down to the Southwestern Bathhouse! Once you've reached your peak relaxation state, go grab a cup of your favorite tea and get ready to do it all over again!

  • Ben Pakuts

Hard to describe how amazing this place is. A steam room, Finnish sauna and the Russian wood-fire 'banya' version. Also a lounge, free tea and an amazing Russian restaurant and pub. Plan a whole night: steam, have a free tea and rest in the lounge and watch Russian nature shows, steam again for longer, have more tea, and repeat. If you're brave, between steaming, jump in the cold water barrel. Then enjoy a homemade meal... before one last steam session. After this is complete, I dare you to not feel a renewed sense of happiness and joy for life.

  • Lucas Melo

I have been here only twice, but every time was fantastic! I bring my friends here for a relaxing time (and cheap booze!). I hear nothing but greatness from my friends of this place. The wonderful saunas to relax, the ice bath to feel fresh again. Cut to the food. All the food here tatses like a nice old Russian grandmother just finished making it with all here love, picky or not. Everyone loves what is one the menu. I'm so glad everything is finally open again after the long shut down. Looking forward to you Richmond hill location next time!

  • Genevieve Anderson

Excellent food and drink. Small spa area. 2 saunas, one small steam room and a freezing cold plunge tub that gets murky with time. Loud social atmosphere. Owner Valentina is pleasant and all staff are pleasant but this isn't a luxury spa. We had to figure out on our own by asking others how to use certain features of the steam room and scrubs and hats. Overall this place is very attractive and cozy in a chalet cottage way. Lots of diversity of clients. Nudity is optional. Tuesday women only creates a good atmosphere.

  • Enzo

Very interesting concept, between the steam rooms + sauna and then my favorite part is the amazing comfort food and the restaurant they have that complete the whole experience, you feel you are not in Canada anymore and you will finally have a hearty meal that feels like home if you ever lived in a soveit country you will find all your favorite dishes also if you miss Tbilisi they got your covered with few dishes and drinks, they got a lovey tea selection as well, спасибо большое

  • Adonis Rosalle

1st timer! Absolutely loved the experience. Extremely warm and welcoming staff that are professional and attentive. I instantly felt at home here. The regulars are very nice and welcoming, very quick to show me the ropes. Great experience learning the ways of the Banya and how to safely sweat it out! The food was delicious and there were plenty of spots to rest and recover after my session. Great People, Great Times! Can't Wait To Go Back! Buy the felt hat! You'll thank me later :)

  • G K

Pros: Place is super homey and clean, chill area is awesome, nature channel on TV very relaxing. Variety of teas is fantastic. Cold barrel to dunk oneself after the sauna not bad. Cons: small and might feel crowded, food is decent but not great ( guys, Russian borscht should be red! ). Sauna is not hot enough to my taste. Birch leaves massage didn’t impress me but never tried it elsewhere. Service is decent but not great, the other day the waitress totally mixed up the order.

  • Lisa Joan

My family and I love this place. Not only is hot/cold therapy excellent for detoxification/glowing skin/soft hair (hot sauna/cold water plunge afterward), the atmosphere of this place is amazing for the soul. The Bathhouse is cozy, warm and inviting. The food is authentic and delicious. And there is an additional room with comfortable seating/television for added relaxation. It is also endearingly family-owned. A mini-vacation in your own neighborhood. Highly recommend!

  • Denis R

Love this place! Finnish sauna, steam room, banya, room for relaxation with a TV and a nice little tea room with eastern European food and free tea. $60 per person and you can stay as long as you want. Food prices are adequate (Borshch for $9) and you can also purchase a venik (leaf whisk) for the complete banya experience. Just don’t forget to soak it before you use it. Tip: bring a felt sauna hat or get one for $15 there to make sure your head stays cool in the sauna

  • Andrei Iliescu

I use this facility for recovery, injury prevention, and just to relax. Great service, I enjoy the dry sauna, steam room, hot sauna, and cold pool. The people are very nice, the food is very good, the service is great, and the place has a lot of history and character. They are opening up new locations in the North York area, and Niagara Falls. I'll be visiting their new location for sure, as they are offering more features and a bigger food menu as well!

  • Francesca

We came on a Tuesday as a little women's group for a spa evening. The serice was very friendly and forthcoming. The Sauna was lovely, with an authentic feel as well as a Steam bath. Tea is served for free and there are resting areas. Great place to relax and rejuvenate. We also had food in the Restaurant which was if not the highlight: it was delicious slavic cuisine! All in all a truly great place and we will definitely will be coming back sometime.

  • Emma Notman

My partner and I traveled from Barrie to try out this sauna for our anniversary. It was the only sauna that was doing family day mid-week. Super busy and no spoon in the sauna to add some heat. Because it was busy, there were a couple of groups who were overly loud in the saunas. I am not one to complain about people speaking, but they were not at a speaking volume, haha. My partner and I really enjoyed the pickled platter & Borscht.

  • Brian Outinen

Loved it went x2 last week. This is the place where you need to really take the tension out of your muscles, tea is free and fantastic, food and drink are marvelous! Highly recommended! They got digital lockers to keep your keys and stuff safe and free to you while you are fully relaxed. They gave me a robe and a towel as well, who could ask for more! Just show up and enjoy hours and hours of purification and enjoyment.

  • Ando Del

I love this place. Family built, owned and run. Great people who really make an effort to make sure you're comfortable and satisfied. A fantastic place to wind down after a hectic day. If I was closer I'd be there more often. Not only do they have three fantastic saunas, they also have an ice pool. A fantastic selection of homemade Russian food that is absolutely delicious along with a great tea and bar selection. ando

  • Claire Chen

I have been here before and after pandemic, and I loved the experience every time! My skin felt like a baby after, not to mention the great sleep I got. Their food and drinks are always very delicious, all being made in house. My favorites dishes are the fish bake and the mushroom dip. Also you have to try their kombucha (it’s even better with an extra shot in it). Absolutely adore this place! High recommended.

  • Kn Tn

Good and tasty authentic Russian menus (not included in the entrance fee). Common chill area for resting. Varieties of teas are inclusive. Large oven sauna, steam room, hot rock sauna, cold dip pool and over the head cold shower. Super crowded on Saturdays. Try weekdays. Tuesdays and Thursdays are Lady's and Guys night. Bathrobe, towel, slippers and shorts provided. Birch leaves not inclusive.

  • Claire McMullan

Love this spot! However the cool kids are beginning to ruin it for me. They talk too much, and they’re too loud! Other than that , if it’s the right night, you’ll enjoy delicious food, drinks and of course the hottest banya ever! Cold pool is pretty sweet to! Also try some of the treatments they offer, the oak leaf whipping is epic, your skin and circulatory system will thank you!

  • Peter Panchine

This is one of my favourite bath houses/ saunas in the city! Cozy atmosphere with Russian village themed dining area! They have steam room, Turkish sauna and Russian banya. The menu is eastern European, so a lot of hearty foods, pickled plates and my fav borsch. Great selection of free tea for the patrons. There is also a small bar where you can get your vodka craving satisfaction.

  • Will M

I feel so good the next day. Great experience. All three saunas were great. I don't know much about saunas but there was a large sauna that was slightly humid, steam room with fragrance, and a dry HOT sauna that read 120degC on the thermometer. The large one was where we spent most of our time. The food was also amazing Russian style. Staff also friendly and helpful.

  • Sandy Duarte

What a perfect winter escape for the body & soul! Got to spend a beautiful Saturday here. My beau & I ate amazing food, had drinks and desert all while in our robes, enjoying the various stunning rooms. Hot and Cold dips, Steam & more, left us rejuvenated and looking forward til the next visit. Plus the staff - all super amazing! Great time, great people, Thank You!

  • Valentina V

I can't say enough good things about this place. The experience is great in the facilities, and the food is scrumptious. I often find myself getting take-out from this place because I crave the food so often. The family that owns this place is very welcoming and I feel like I'm at home when I visit. Great unique experience for those that never done a russian spa.

  • Leeza Belkina

An amazing place to unwind and spoil yourself in three different type of saunas, tea room and restaurant. This is a family business where people everything is made with love to satisfy the clients. The Russian food is all home made and tastes like home. I wish I knew about it earlier, it's a great place to go with bring friends. We will definitely be back!

  • Neil Doctorow

We had a fantastic date night here. The saunas are really hot, the steam room was incredible. The entire atmosphere and set up is just like it would be in Russia. So traditional and beautiful. Can't say enough great things about this place. The staff we're all unbelievably friendly and helpful and the food (and drinks) were perfect. 5/5!!!

  • Yasemin Basoglu

I went this past weekend with some friends and OMG we had the best time! we all got banya hats, body scrubs (highly recommend) and just spent hours in the different rooms. There is also a very nice tea room with amazing russian authentic food (I got some fish salad thing which was 10/10). Everyone should come here!!!

  • Ship of Fellows

I have been coming here for 7 years. Personally: big fan of the no-nonsense attitude they have. I find it charming and hilarious. I view this place as a sauna with an amazing bar attached. If you don’t dream of drinking a proper 20oz pint and eating freshly made food in your bathrobe then you’re not living right.

  • Chan Chan

Cute bathhouse. The inside is much larger than it looks on the outside. Staff were very friendly in explaining everything. The tea selection was great and I really liked their in house kombucha. Very homey feel inside, very different from the bathhouses I'm used to but would come again for the unique experience.

  • Dr. J Doudareva

This is absolutely the best place. The sauna itself is very well-run, is clean, efficient and the rooms are well maintained. The food is amazing. The people are warm and welcoming. Also time seems to stop at this place - it's easy to accidentally spend 7 hours between relaxing and having tea breaks :D

  • Rolando Aguilera

Went with my spouse for the first time yesterday. Very hospitable and friendly staff. The tea, dining and meal rooms are decorated in a one of a kind way, providing an unforgettable, cozy and relaxing atmosphere. I tried the Georgian chicken stew and shared the Sourdough pancakes...both outstanding!

  • Paul Kozak

Great family run establishment. Super friend service and staff. Great decor make you feel like you've left Toronto. They have done an excellent job with the interior. It looks like a traditional banya. Nice wood sauna and great Turkish bath. The food was fantastic too . We will definitely be back.

  • Vesna Velemir

Went for my first time yesterday. We stayed 5 hours! Very clean and well kept environment. You feel like you're in a cabin outside of the city - very peaceful. Food was delicious. Staff is extremely friendly and very friendly environment in general amongst other sauna goers. Highly recommend it !

  • Pashnash

This is a very cozy Russian style sauna with good food and great all you can drink tea selection. Loved by various nationalities for the vibe, food, and overall setup. It has a very good woodburning Russian steam room, as well as Finish and Turkish rooms. Always a pleasure to visit and relax...

  • Jonathon C

Had a great time with my fiance this Sunday. Everyone who works there is super friendly. Really feels like you're walking into another world. Great food, cheap drinks with an extensive menu (including multiple types of free tea). Looking forward to going back. Go early though. It gets busy.

  • Yalda N

Very nice and cozy place to have a girls date in. The place is clean well maintained, nice service. With unlimited herbal tea option. Food you pay extra but there’s a restaurant inside. Very delicious menu. The only thing i can say is the spa itself is a bit pricy i think. Its 60$/person.

  • Christian Thurston

Great place. The Georgian Chicken Stew was delicious and the Czech beer on tap was just the thing. The some of the rooms could have been hotter. I did 2 hours of sauna and cold plunge, and then ate. Once I returned to sauna after eating it was much hotter and that was great.

  • Roxy Huang

Our Russian friends celebrated his birthday here and we all had a great time. Food was good, service was good and sauna was really really nice. We became a big fan of this place. Definitely will go back and recommend people to visit this place after a long day/week work.

  • Olga Belavina

Nice and steamy! Their food, alcohol & tea selection is great and affordable. They have a steam room, a sauna, and a Russian banya. The only thing I wanted to note is that, depending on a day, the banya can feel almost lukewarm, so plz make the furnace more fiery ! …

  • Anna Taylor

Fantastic!!! Authentic Russian banya, Swedish sauna, and Turkish steamroom. The ambiance is tasteful and creative with meticulous attention to detail. The place is very clean and well run. Owners and staff are welcoming, attentive, and courteous. Best banya in Toronto!

Such a cool water circuit! It was $60 entry and then I spent about $50 on food but the food was actually so good (I’m vegetarian) and we ended up staying around 4 hours so it was so worth the $60. Would go back again.
