A huge waste of time! The company was responsive at the beginning until the consultation and it all went downhill from there. Mark came for the consultation and the service was scheduled quickly. During the consultation he actually pointed out how straight the edges of our bedroom collar were so I figured they would match those finishes, not even close! We had some cracks to repair in a bedroom and living room and some patchwork on a bathroom wall. All but one of the repairs were done poorly, the paint in our bathroom was sloppy and the edges were not finished well at all. The bedroom was painted the original color rather than the color we wanted, and the repairs there are very noticeable. Mark actually came back to look at the poor work and admitted it needed to be redone. I refused to have the same crew do the work due to their unprofessional behavior and shoddy work so I was supposed to get a different crew last week, which never happened. Work was scheduled for today and they are a no show. Mark is now unresponsive. Save yourself the hassle and hire a different company.

We had a residential project and came across Southern Painting’s sign in the yard of someone in our neighborhood. They had the best discount at the time we hired them (after getting 3-4 other quotes), so we opted to hire them. Mark was our go-to contact for the North Austin area. We had the entire outside painted with a few repairs, stained shutters, painted all interior ceilings, trim, walls, stained our staircase, and primed and painted all newly renovated areas. They worked with us and our timeline (waiting on other projects to finish or gutters to arrive, electrician to finish over several months, etc.) and were not demanding about receiving payment prior to job completion. We did have to call them back several times to clean up paint off floors and touch up areas, and they returned quickly and at no extra cost. Our home buying and renovating timeline/process was really stressful, but Mark and his crew were very dependable and professional. I would hire them again for future projects.

Pics speak for themselves. All pics are of the end result -after 2 coats of top tier paint. They were definitely in the low price range for the work, but they were the only ones available for our timeframe. I even paid them extra for them to do a good job AND tipped because they complained the quote was too low, but there's the results. Missed promises and undelivered. Paint splatter everywhere, overpaint drips and bubbles, missed areas completely, didn't tape areas sufficiently so parts of my walls are stained, etc. Frustrated at the "good enough" and lack of ownership and pride with the work. I could've done a better job with the spray gun. This is an absolute mess and I'll need to contact another painting company to redo everything. I contacted the painter, but 0 ownership or accountability. Please don't waste your time and money. Oh, and they also did some drywall repair and "touched up paint." Area was not plumb, and that touch up paint job was horrendous.

After getting several bids from other companies, we decided to use Southern Painting. We hired this company not because they were the cheapest (because they weren’t) but because of the professionalism of Zach, the owner/manager, who met with me to provide a quote for our exterior painting job. Super nice guy and made me feel completely at ease. The crew that he sent to work on our house was equally as professional, thorough and trustworthy. They had two foremans on the job. One helped me make my final decisions on paint and the other made sure the colors were painted onto the right surfaces in addition to fixing any wood rot/problem areas. We made the right decision by using this company because our house looks amazing! We will definitely hire them again for other painting jobs in the future!

Zach Joseph was professional and helpful throughout the process. We obtained three bids, and Southern Painting was the least expensive, without ever giving the feeling they were offering a lower quality service. We needed to get my brothers house painted so we could sale it. Our agent called to Zachary come out to let us know who much every thing would be. He was at the house the next day. The painters were painting just a few days later. They did a great job. The front of the house looks like a brand new house. They did everything so fast and kept everything clean. We liked them so much we hired them to come and paint our house in a few weeks.

We hired Southern Painting to paint the inside of our house and the trim on the outside to get it ready to sell. Mark was very prompt with coming to our house to give us a quote (which was extremely competitive) and they were able to start the job quickly. What a great experience with Mark H and the Southern Painting team. They were fast, on time and did a perfect job painting. Also fun to work with. Sorry to log the first low review here, but they never showed up for an appointment they made with me to estimate a job. The time window was huge compared to others (four hours). I even called the office an hour before the window to confirm that someone would call and they confirmed. I am not sure what happened because they seemed very nice and professional on the phone.

Great working with this company! They eased the stress of changing the exterior paint colors on my house. I always a great experience with Southern painting. I wanted to do a funky kids playroom with two different kinds of somewhat difficult to work with paint. But they did a great job and my daughter is thrilled with her new fun playroom. They can be pricier but the quality is excellent.
