I went to Southside from 2010 - 2015. To be honest, I remember making plans with my friends to give horrible reviews on Google so then, just maybe, the staff would buy us a vending machine and the lunch would be tastier. But I'm not going to do that. I have to visit my former teachers every day, as my younger sister continues to go to this school. She's in 4th grade. She continues to attest that she "hates it here." And that "the lunch is sooooo bad!" Just as I did a few years ago. But i know that she, along the many other students, while have fond memories of their elementary years. The only fault i can think of with this school is that the lunch is, as my sister constantly says, "soooooo bad". The staff is very receptive and communicate well with parents, at least from my and my sister's experience from this school. Great preparation for Middle School; I now attend an Advanced Middle School, where the curriculum is a year or two ahead of normal, and Southside prepared me perfectly for it. I recommend this school.

I'm a student here at Southside Elementary, and I have had an amazing experience. My teachers, Mrs.Alvarez, Dr.Hamilton, Mrs.Machado, Mrs.Saud and Mrs.Fuentes are very dedicated to allowing their students to be the best versions of their selves. All teachers at Southside are very caring and calm towards their students. Our principal is also AMAZING TOO. SHE HAS DONE SO MUCH THIS year to make Southside awesome. I simply LOVE IT HERE. Don't hesitate to come! (HERE is my same message in Spanish if you need it) Yo Soy un estudiante aquí en Southside Elementary y he tenido una experiencia increíble. Wow ! My experience with Southside is a little bittersweet. Mateo got accepted in the middle of covid with the lottery program, however he will not be able to continue at Southside Elementary. I am forever grateful for this school, for the teachers, and all the staff. It truly makes a difference when you have teachers that care. Mateo started online school from home with Mrs. Gonzales, she is unbelievably amazing. She will take time to discuss about Mateo and was truly patient during the online term. When Mateo went back to physical school he got a different teacher. Doctor Rohani is truly dedicated to her students and I love the classroom dynamic. Mateo will be going to a new school next year but Southside will always be an amazing memory.

Education wise it's a great school. Administration wise it's horrible. Office staff is rude. Principal and vice principal are never around. The janitor is also a security guard and god forbid that someone directs parking and traffic. Everyone ignores the school zone and zooms by without a care, no cops ever around anyways. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the teachers are amazing and the school is pretty neat. My kid has been going here for 6 years and I'm so glad she's going to a different school next year. And I don't have to deal with public school nonsense anymore because she's going to a private school!

I'm going to school here right now. I am currently in 7th grade here and the school is good and all the teachers are nice. the lunch is good sometimes and sometimes it bad. I was kind of sad in 6th and 7th grade though because we didn't get electives these two years but hopefully in the future, there will be electives for people to choose from.

My son was in kindergarten in this school for a few months, the attention is super bad and the person in charge in the office lacks more education to treat the parents, honestly I do not recommend this school, you can find better options, the education in this school is very bad.

I'm an ER nurse who works mid shift, and I live in the Axis condos behind the school. They will occasionally have a DJ play at 0830 am, or other early times of the day, out in their court yard that projects sounds up to the balconies of these condominiums.

I use to go to this school and I am glad to say I left it. This school gives horrible food and the cafeteria is full of cockroaches(not only the cafeteria). The staff can be really rude. Trust me when I say it is better to go into another school.

Was here from kindergarten to third grade. The teachers were borderline verbally/emotionally abusive (calling us stupid, humiliating us in front of everyone). This isn’t even mentioning the roaches

I called for information and they responded in a very rude way and then they immediately hanged up. I use to go to this school and it is sad to know that it is falling apart.

this place is amazing the only couple of things I don't like about it is no touching I wasn't aloud to high five I got in trouble for hand wrestling.

Staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. Cafeteria smells like roaches, very poor communication with parents. Teachers (not all) very unprofessional.

I dont know now, but back in the day , ( 1977 - 1979 ) test school was of the chain.
