Had an experience with an extremely rude Southwest employee. Myself and two others, Jesse and Michael, had just come from Lackland and were flying home, them two to Maryland and myself to California. Mike had a duffel bag and needed to check it in. An African American woman of perhaps late 60's age approached us and told Mike that he needed to check his bag and instructed him to get a checking tag. Mike tried to undo the tag to place it on the bag while the employee snapped her fingers and said, "hurry up, let's go, let's go." Jesse offered to give it a try and he ripped it on accident. The woman said to him, "look at what you've done, can you follow directions? Go get another one." Mike retrieved and properly undid the tag and went to put it on the bag, Jesse told him to flip it around since it was backwards. The woman said, "don't listen to him, he can't follow directions. Put it on." When he attached it, he went to sling it on his back and she snapped at him, "What are you doing? Get it to the counter." He walked over there and she said, "Hustle!" Then she turned to Jesse and said, "Tell him that if he wants to be in the military that he needs to hurry up." And she walked away. We were astounded by this woman's lack of empathy and professionalism. Her behavior was truly unacceptable and I expect Southwest, being the well-run company that it is, to take notice of this. What struck the three of us the most about this was that the woman seemed to think that since we had connection to the military (Air Force) that it granted her the liberty to treat us the way she did. Whatever her stigma was, whether it be accosting us for our service or simply deciding that we invited to be verbally abused, it does not matter. Southwest, please look into this, save yourselves and future passengers the trouble of having to deal with this individual.

If I could give this airlines no stars I would!! But being that I have to at least have one I guess I'll let them have it although they in my opinion don't think they're deserving. CUSTOMERS OF SIZE BEWARE!!!!! My family currently has a member of our family stuck at the airport in San Antonio, reason being he purchased his TICKETS almost 4 months in advance and I say tickets because he is a customer of size so he purchased 2, so he arrives at the airport boards his plane puts his carryon up and has a seat, after doing so a flight attendant approaches him and tells him he needs to get off his flight because they oversold seats so they need every seat possible for this couple to sit down!! 1 how do you oversell tickets purchased months in advance??? 2 why was this couples trip anymore important than his seats that he paid for??? So now the rest of the family is in LA and hes in San Antonio trying to figure out how to get here.......now after humiliating him and taking him out of HIS seat they wanna put him on a flight from San Antonio to Minneapolis with AN 8 HOUR LAYOVER!!!WITH NO GAURANTEE HE'LL BOARD FROM MINNEAPOLIS TO LOS ANGELES,WHEN HE PAID FOR A FLIGHT FROM SA TO LA WITH NO LAYOVER this now putting him almost 24 hours BEHIND!! Never again will I or the several other people who also flew southwest EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN, not after the DISCRIMINATION or HUMILIATION that our family member has experienced!!!! Southwest Airlines as a company who has made a name for itself we expected more from you and sadly you let us down!!!! CUSTOMERS OF SIZE DONT FLY SOUTHWEST, YOUR SEAT IS NOT SECURE EVEN IF BOUGHT IN ADVANCE!!!! PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HUMILATION, DONT FLY SOUTHWEST!!!!!

This is geared towards the Southwest Airlines experience in SAT. Very unorganized and unprofessional. After deboarding we went to the baggage terminal to hang out with a huge crowd from two other flights. Niether flight had any idea of what carousel our luggage was coming out as, so we just gaggled as a huge group. After 15 minutes they start to announce what carousel one of the flights was receiving luggage on. Then the Southwest baggage lady came over the intercome saying "for the lady looking for her cell phone we have it here at the counter, come get it." I saw a lady walking up to the counter to ask a question and the Southwest lady just looked at her and slid the phone on the counter over to her. The customer looked at it and walked away, it wasn't even hers and the Southwest attendant wasn't even going to question it. Then she gets over the intercome and calls out a guest saying his firearm is at the counter. Not cool. Anyways, flight landed at 1055, we didn't leave the airport until just before Midnight.

The desk workers are pretty terrible. The lady at the front desk reported us to someone because my daughter who turned two a week prior to our trip because she wasn't wearing a mask. My daughter wasn't wearing it and the worker asked if she was two, and we said yes. She then proceeded to tell us that she has to wear one as it is required by law...blah...blah...blah. We finally coerced my daughter to wear it. And the worker asked us if we had practiced masking with her. Which I didn't realize was a requirement to train your children on wearing a mask. After that, she called someone and said our flight is going to have trouble with a 2 year old wearing a mask. So I don't know if this person had some political or personal motivation in forcing my 2 year old to wear a mask, but she should be fired from Southwest because the customer experience aspect was a zero out of 10 for me.

SW Airlines has lost my business and you should take warning if you fly SWA. Yes their prices are cheaper (wanna get away) but be prepared to lose everything should something happen and you cannot make your flight. If you don't show and cannot cancel your flight before, you will lose all your money and they (customer service) are unwilling to work with you to make other arrangements. They state it's their policy, but it should be illegal for any business to be able to keep your money $$$ without offering a service. SW Airlines should be ashamed of the way they do business and i hope that they lose customers due to their poor business choices and how they affect customers. So much for Customer Service, because customers don't come first, for this corporation it's all about the all mighty dollar.

This isn't a review for my experience of a flight. This is a review for booking a flight. I have been having extreme trouble trying to find a flight for my son who is 11 to come visit me for Christmas this year. I called up the 800 number to talk to an agent and an angel answered. Her name was Kathy, agent 99 out of San Antonio. She was the sweetest most informative person I have talked to. Once I explained my situation to her, I felt she made it her personal mission to make sure my son was able to make it to me for Christmas. I haven't seen my son in a few years out of the fact that he lives with my dad on the other side of the US. She went through all of the different options of airports going both directions. Kathy agent 99 out of San Antonio, you have made my Christmas!!!

Experienced lack luster customer service from gate agent Christine in San Antonio airport on Memorial Day at gate A-11. A storm came through and delayed flights. I was trying to get out of SA to avoid being stranded. First, she said the earlier flight was full, but the other gate agent said it was not. She then proceeded to say I wouldn't have a connecting flight out of Houston, which was also incorrect. I was already booked on the 940pm flight in Houston. Finally, she dragged her feet until the gate closed, and we missed the flight. I felt like she really didn't want to do her job! get your act together, Miss Christine!!!

The last time I traveled on Southwest Airlines I had to fight tears BUT they were not sad tears. I am disabled and need a wheelchair to get through the airport and onto the plane. Southwest is THE MOST empathetic airline I have ever experienced! They get it! I was treated with a kindness and understanding that I have never EVER gotten from any other airline. I feel that Southwest costs a little more than other airlines but I do not care. If I cannot travel on Southwest then I cannot travel. THANK YOU SOUTHWEST AIRLINES!

Horrible customer service at the counter by Florinda A Reyes. I’m not sure what she’s going through but she was very rude to us. I’ve been a customer for about 15 years and I’ve never experienced that type of service by Southwest Airlines. As we approached the counter her demeanor was unwelcoming. We ignored and were polite. When I asked for my boarding tickets as we are in a full service line with our 6 month old baby , she begins to argue with me saying that I had said I didn’t need one. This was unacceptable.

Southwest runs San Antonio airport those planes speed down that runaway going past normal speed limits other airplanes have to move out of their way. Yes there is a speed limit on the the runaway which southwest gets violate because San Antonio airport let's them. Horrible very toxic San Antonio airport operations where southwest runs this airport. Southwest plane almost ran over some ground crew. People in San Antonio still want to fly with them.

Horribleeee 0 recomendado!

Roxanne the flight attendant was amazing with my little ones, they we're having a rough time knowing they were going to have to fly by themselves and she calmed their fears greatly. Super friendly staff and am extremely pleased with their services.

  • Karen Helsel

We love flying Southwest and this is one of the small reasons that add up to great customer service. There are charging stations and cup holders in the gate areas. Everything is clean, communication is good, and the flights are reliably on time.

  • Jason Daddy

Comfortable, clean and nice staff in San Antonio. The flight was so empty they gave my son and daughter a whole bag of pretzels each for the flight to Nashville. Wifi was pricey as usual. We departed on time and arrived early. Great service.

  • Rhak Favors

Although the staff was great especially the Flight Attended that was an EAGLES fan, I felt lake a sardine on the plane. Most flights were booked to capacity on the 737’s. They weren’t sectioned off it reminded me of a school bus …

  • Ranel Bautista

Terrible customer service Supervisors are so bad . They are really mean to people. Unfortunately Americans flights companies are so cheap . Try to learn quality and customer service from Qatar airline, Turkish or Emirates airline.

  • James Tibbetts

Unacceptable! Arrived two hours prior to flight and check-in counter staff was 45 minutes late. Had to call SW to figure out the problem. 40 people in line and the airport had to page the counter staff.

Always wonderful to fly with Southwest, no problems during flight. They follow protocol for covid19 and they only serve mix snack and water in a cup.

  • Ruth Martinez

Very clean & great customer service throughout the airport! Love flying, and I always pick SouthWest Airlines❤ The prices are also super amazing

  • Maureen Kelly

The way Southwest does their seating is horrible. The chances that you get to sit next to person you are traveling with is slim to none.
