It was my first time to go to Spins Laundry yesterday and I was very satisfied in terms of efficiency of the self-served coin-washing machines and the services rendered by two of the staff. When we went in, I saw rows of washing machines and drying machines. A lady with long hair had eyes contact with me right away and I told her I would like to use the coin-washing machines for small loads. She said I could choose the machines which were not occupied. While I was looking for an available one, another tall man pointed me to one which was good for the small loads of clothes (it was about no more than 10 pounds as there was a jacket, a few long-sleeves T-shirts and several small items). While I started to read the instructions on the surface of the machine, he gave me a short brief that made my life easier in a short period of time. I put my clothes in (they were the front-load machines) and then my detergent. I went to wash my hands and then I put the coins in the slot. At this point of time, I had noticed I had forgotten to put some pairs of socks which I had packed separately the last minute when I left home. Then, I opened the door of the front load. Immediately, the tall guy came to tell me that once I opened this door, the detergent I had put into the slot of the machine would be automatically drained. So the, I put my detergent again. If he didn't see what I had done and if he didn't come to tell me, I would have not been able to wash my clothes well. It was 4CAD and it lasted for 23 minutes or so. After I had put 2pcs of 2CAD coins into the slot, the lady with long hair came to me and explained to me that I had to use the coin-exchanger to get small changes for 4pcs of 1CAD coins so the slot could go in and be started. As it was my first time using it, she even walked me to the coin-exchanger and explain how it worked. :) While I was awaiting the washing of the clothes, I was looking at the drying machines and tried to see how much and the short manuals printed on the machine. At this point of time, this tall guy walked to me and patiently briefed me how to operate the machine. He also helped to exchange my 20CAD note for 4pcs 5CAD note so I could put into the coins exchanger by the wall. After I got the small coins from the exchange machine with my 5CAD notes, I found the copper smells from the coins were very strong so I went to wash my hands. Then, he came to me and showed me nearby the entrance of the shop there was the alcohol gel that I could use so I didn't need to wash my hands. Maybe he thought I wanted to sterilize my hands but actually I just wanted to wash the copper smells from my hands. He was very detail-minded. He also told me that the arrows next to the coin-slots showed which slot the drying machine was for (for example, if I thought I was going to use the machine at the bottom but if I put my coins to the slot that looked like for the machine at the bottom but the arrow did show the slot was for the machine at the top, then, I would waste my money). He was very sophisticated and patient. He was busy folding some bedsheets with another short-hair lady but he was just there to answer any questions their customers had and was very attentive to what I needed/was looking for. As I was hurrying for other appointment, I did not use the drying machine eventually. However, I had noticed other customers took out their clothes/sleeping bags from the machine and wrapped them happily so I believe the drying machines must be very efficient. Should you forget to bring your own laundry detergent, they had products available for sale. This shop opens early at 7am and close at 10pm. It had signs on the wall reminding customers that the last load was 9pm. Location is excellent as a supermarket is in the same mall.

I have no idea what the other reviews that give it low rating are taking about. First: the staff - Amazingly helpful people. Willing to show you exactly how to use the machines on your first time in. Even tell you how much soap you need since they have HUGE machines. This is very helpful as home machines are different. I'm in my early 30s and have never felt uncomfortable here. The young man who works here has NEVER been in appropriate. He makes wonderful conversation and likes joke and make you laugh. I have seen interactions with other patrons and have been impressed every time with the help people recieve here. The staff always have a smile on their faces and willing to help. Second: the price - we are a family of 4. Lots of laundry. It costs me about $10 to wash and dry ALL my clothes. So much cheaper than other places I've been. Dryers and 0.25 for 3 minutes. Heavy winter clothes and blankets never take more than 2.00 to dry. Usually takes less. Light summery clothes are done in a snap. Third: Cleanliness - this place is beautiful. The staff does an amazing job of keeping the machines and all general areas clean and neat. Machines are always working too. If something breaks it is fixed very quickly. Fourth: cafe attached - attached to the laundry is a lovely little cafe. Wonderful to get a nice coffee with option of keirig brew or large urn style. Fair prices, and nice flavor. Also has selection of fresh baked goods and other snacks. Lotto, cigarettes and other convenience store amenities also available at cafe. Finally: other patrons - yes other customers can be rude, but this is not the fault of the business. People can be ass holes anywhere. Majority of people I have encountered have all been very nice and sweet. Just looking to do their laundry, have some coffee and go home. I have a washer and drying in my apartment building and choose to walk over here to do my laundry because I like it here so much more.

This was the absolute worst experience of my life, the attendant used physical intimidation and verbal harassment when he realized I was seated on a ‘out of order’ machine as there were no seating options provided in the TV area. With absolutely no warning or attempt at politeness he approached and spoke to me in a hostile manner, when I went to get off the machine I didn’t do it fast enough and he returned yelling GET OOFF NOWWW. I am a six foot female and I felt I was in physical danger at that point the man continued to approach me after I vacated the spot and I had to raise my voice to say don’t come any closer. I could only maintain calm until I reached the car at which point there was adrenaline pumping through my body and I was shaking and broke down in the car with doors locked. I am contacting the human rights commission and returning to speak with the supervisor although I assume the man as a family member and there will be no reprimand. He had a serious problem with women and I would recommend no one visit this place on the off chance he may be working. I will return to make my complaints heard but not without fear. I am always respectful of the NUMEROUS signs in the place saying don’t sit on counters this and that plastered all over everything but I honestly thought it was innocent to sit on a broken laundry machine that has been there out of order with for years. Obviously I will be finding a new laundry mat and regret spending the hundreds of dollars I have doing laundry here.

Not recommended for any females under the age of 35 or for anyone who gets uncomfortable when staff will ask you for your number or watch you fold your clothes closely. But wait it’s not just the staff who do that but the other patrons. I have been a few times now & my experience has yet to change. Every time I go I get harassed about my ID (and asked if I have a boyfriend by the white guy with light fluffy hair glasses & a hat so many times it’s just not worth the hassle going in) Staff will tell you how to wash your laundry and will chang the settings on the machine if they “feel you are doing it wrong” this is how half of my delicates got ruined. Also you don’t need fabric softener and you shouldn’t argue with a patron over their decisions. Anyone over the age of 40 seems to like the place and have a great time watching slash staring down younger females folding their clothing. Coffee is watered down, overly friendly in a very wrong way male staff, and over priced dryers. Would not recommend, even in an emergency (just Uber your clothes to a friends place; no joke it costs the same to do your laundry here as it does to Uber your clothes half way across the city and back)

If I could give a negative 5 star review that is exactly what I would be doing. The customer service at Spins is absolutely terrible. The disregard for their own mistakes is absolutely absurd - Today I scheduled a pick up according to what their website offered me, received confirmation and a cost break down. Three hours later I receive a text from the driver telling me that my pick up will not occur today and that I have to reschedule. So I called the location and spoke to the manager and was passed around to about 4 people, only for them to simply not understand the insanity that is this situation. My suggestion to this company FIX YOUR WEBSITE SO THAT IT DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO BOOK APPOINTMENTS THAT DO NOT EXIST. Also the lady I spoke to said the schedule pick up form includes you must request 24 hours in advance - this also does not exist. So much can be avoided by this simple correction. My suggestion to everyone else: do yourself a favor and just get your laundry done else where - clearly this team does not value customer service.

  • Rachel Rainville

Today was the last straw, I’ve been going there for 3 years because the location is convenient and the washers are huge but every time I go and “Shami” is there I get verbally abused. All the rest of the staff are great and Zoureen’s next door has been my go to for convenience items. Today when I walked in “Shami” came running at me telling me she had already told me to wait outside, I told her she was mistaken as I just arrived. She started yelling at me and asking “if I could read” I told her she can’t talk to me like that. She continued her verbal abuse and yelling at me, at one point other customers got involved telling her to stop being so rude to me. I asked to speak to Micheal since I wasn’t going to have her talk to me and she told me “he doesn’t own the place you can’t talk to him” I will never ever go back there for laundry or for the convenience store next door. It’s very unfortunate that such a great place would allow their staff to be so abusive.

  • CC

If I could give zero stars, I would. Yes, their service was fast and it was convenient that they picked it up for me, but the cost is outrageous and my clothes smelled like cigarette smoke after being delivered, not fresh laundry. The cost breakdown I was provided with only mentioned that I would be charged by the pound for my laundry and a small fee for delivery. When I get my bill, it is $80 for two ikea bags of laundry. I asked for a receipt and finally got a text message from them breaking down the cost with an extra cost for blankets and a higher fee for delivery than expected. The company refuses to send me a paper copy of my receipt and instead continue texting me the prices. To me, it feels like they choose whatever price they'd like to charge and throw in a few extra costs to make more money. I will NEVER use this service again nor will I recommend it to anyone.

  • Margarita G

I have seen this owner being rude to the employees at this place but now had a chance to experience it myself. Owner was sanitizing the tables while a customer was using one for folding his laundry. When it was the turn for that table, she just started spraying Clorox next to his clean to be folded laundry. To the question if I could use $20 on the change machine, I was told the owner wasn't going to give me change for $20 to wash one load. What a nice attitude! Then when I said i was going to come with more laundry later I was told I was to get the change when that happened. She pointed out that the change was for the customers, when i was standing there in front of her waiting for the change to pay to wash my laundry in her washing machine. Lots of attitude, no customer service skills. Way to go! :D

  • Melissa H

I've been going here for years, the service is steadily declining. The last time I was there, 13 dryers were being used by the staff, this is not the first, second nor third time this has happened. I asked for another dryer and got a response of " well how many do you have?" The staff seem to be more interested in getting their loads done before letting paying customers do theirs. The 2 men are quite nice but it is the other women who are quite rude. Pushy, ignorant and mostly all smoke right at the door, so as clean laundry is being done you get a great waft of cigarettes. The floors are very dirty and the lint traps are a little disappointing. Overall this place is going downhill and sad because it's convenient for us vanier folks.

  • Eric Ross

Recently used their pick-up/delivery service for the first time because my apartment machines are too small for comforters (duvets) etc. Azaid contacted shortly after I made my order online to break down pricing etc. Clear and easy to understand. Answered all my questions before I asked them. They picked up my order in the evening (6-9pm), which was very convenient for me, and delivered it the following evening around the same time. The pick-up/delivery guy, Michel, was super polite and friendly. Yes it cost a few dollars more than if I had taken a cab/uber to a local laundry spot myself but with my work schedule I just could not find the time. Spins did a great job and was worth every penny. Will definitely use their service again.

  • Jas Li

The newer washing machines have almost NO WATER! -- not even enough to soak the clothes. The reason that elder glassed woman gave was: that would save money on dryer. SUPPER RIDICULOUS! She was suggesting to put the dirty laundry directly to the dryers, since that even would SAVE more! Warning: to set water temperature as you need (even there is rarely warm water), since they consistently set cold water as default on every machine that works. Do not recommend anyone to go there for anything, since every time you go in there, they look at you have no word, and their eyes tell you that, " here is another dummy just come in."... they do not know what is called "friendly".

  • Shannon Hersey

In all honesty this could be a great establishment but the attitude from the older woman who owns it really ruins the experience. The price, is responsible due to the size of the machines. Especially if you are only here to do large blankets. The no outside food and drink rule is a little ridiculous(within reason). if my child is drinking a juice box i am not going to pay 6$ to buy one from you on the other hand if someone brought in a whole pizza sure say no to that and having to buy something to sit in the little cafe side while i am paying to already use machines. Eaither way.. could be managed better, but in all I got my laundry done so woo

  • Macho Commonda

Worst experience i have ever been through! the free wifi is probably the best part of Spins. The attendants were constantly walking behind me ordering how to load and unload, how to open and close the (EXPENSIVE) machines. I politely reassured her that i know how to operate the machines. She then tells her co-workers right in front of me and other patrons that i was slamming the door. Not how you treat customers that you want to return. They are pushy and rude. I for one will NEVER re-visit this establishment. And hope that you all read and head my warning. The price is not worth the hassle that i received here.

  • Isats

Basic math is not a strength for them. 3 loads of laundry to wash and dry...is definitely more than $20 considering even if they were only small loads it would still cost minimum $12 just to wash them. Minimum. Considering all loads were small. They were expecting me to only use 1 $20 bill to get it done... he literally took the change I made it do my laundry and gave me back a $20 bill. Had to go elsewhere. Maybe he should stop spending so much time sitting around watching for confrontations. And use some of that extra time to take a basic math skills class.

  • Byron “Birk0013” Birkett

One of the worst experiences to date. When I went into the laundry mat I've been using for 5 years I also ask for my change in advance. Samantha was there I had my laundry in the car waiting to see if there were enough washer at the time. She was rude dispresctful and quite frankly a poor employee. I would suggest going else were. She maybe need to go too some management training with customer service. Don't go!!! RATE ONE STAR FOR A REASON. I feel like the were thinking I was using them when in relality I taking my business elsewhere... Don't recommend.

  • Shana Osaki

Everytime we go into this place, it never ceases to amaze my boyfriend and I how unbeleivably RUDE the older female staff member is here. Complaining about having to pay winning OLG tickets..heavy sighs, sarcastic tones and comments. One time we had a Tim's coffee while we were doing laundry here (for the first and LAST time) and were told no OUTSIDE food and drink are allowed, rudely! Honestly ridiculous. All about money, money, money & very poor, detering customer service!

  • Vanda Smith

I am currently here TRYING to wash a few blankets. The staff here is HORRIBLE and certainly not helpful at all... CLEARLY a sign on the change machine states OUT OF ORDER but somehow I as a new customer is to know that is not the case. WTH? NEVER will I be back here. The tall guy speaks to you like your 5 years old on instructions on the machine.. Thats not even to mention how staff has all washers and dryers tied up and so bring 1 load if you dare but prepare to wait...

  • Chris Melin

My current laundry provider seems to have gone bankrupt so I was scrambling for a new one. I found Spins and contacted them. They picked up my laundry the very same day and had it back in 24 hours. They even gave me a significant first time discount. The owner was quick to respond to my texts and they call to confirm pickup and delivery within half an hour. All in all I was very pleased and will continue to use their services.

  • Melinda Andrews

Spins is awesome! I was there today and the staff were extremely helpful. They helped me pick a few different sized washers sized to fit the laundry items I was washing. And they helped me to make sure the duvet I washed dried properly (they have industrial sized dryers). It's a very clean laundromat and they have everything you need. Had the best time chatting with other customers while I waited. Would totally go back again!

  • Iamhelena

The worse place ive ever been. The staff are all rude and ive known them for years.Im surprise im writing this because i thought they were super sweet and nice but I was wrong. They watch you so closely to see how you do your laundry it is so creepy and anoying. And I witness some people ask to the staff question they come off rude. I wont be going there anymore I just want to honest and comment about this place…

  • Natasha LaFrance

I have been here multiple times at different times a day. The workers are rude. Myself, friends, family, and people I have witnessed at the laundry mat get yelled at, told what to do, and disrespected. They are rude at the least. I live close by and instead take the time to drive out so that I don’t have to go there. Unless you feel like being treated badly I highly advise you go somewhere else.

  • Marie L

It is always clean and most of the people that work there are friendly and helpful too. I did have one incedence that when I came in to have a coffee that I did go use the facilities first. I came out and got rudely verbally asulted by one of the workers before I could go get my coffee. I got my coffee and left. I won't let it stop me from going to this laundry spot for one or two personel.

  • Raphaella Victoria

So, i don't know the quality of this thing but the comments about the extremely picky attendants are absolutely true. I had one piece i needed to wash, a big cover top for the couch and they needed to confirm it with someone on the phone. On top of it, they weren't able to reach the person so i had to go. User beware lol, maybe their machines r good, no idea, u might never find out.

  • Sarah Lynn

Extremely rude. Came in to ask prices before bringing in my laundry from the car and exchange a toonie so I could get a nearby shopping cart and the old woman in the back started yelling at us that we're not allowed without laundry. I didn't even know if this place's laundry was worth it compared to our old regular but now I know the hassle isn't worth it with such rude owners.

  • Derek Friesen

Would leave no Tara but not an option. Used to go here until the bald guy had to be the most disrespectful workers I have ever seen. Leaves his laundry unattended, unstarted, with no notice on machine, nor in the area for their personal customers laundry but gets mad when I take it out. Goes on to berate me and act quite foolishly. Don’t go here if you want to get respect.

  • Tina Mongeon

I own a cleaning company and I use Spins for all our cleaning laundry needs. The service is incredible. When they see me coming to drop off, they always go out of their way to hold the door open and greet me with a smile. My laundry is perfectly cleaned, folded and promptly ready for pick up every day. I could not ask for better service! Enviropure

  • Dennis DeGrandpre

A little pricey since the last time but other then that over all not bad. The staff the run the coin wash are very good and are friendly they also have a in house laundry service how much it is I don't know just call and ask. They have a coffee bar right next door where they sell homemade treats also lotto tickets and such.

  • Jenn Casey

Rude Staff. Being accustomed to my dryer at home, I perhaps shut the door a little more forcefully than necessary. If the staff had simply said that it would've been fine. But instead he came over, re-opened the door and sarcastically shut it quietly. Then went on to lecture me on how I made everyone jump. Won't be back.

  • Nikotai

Older female & older male were extremely rude. Told us we couldn't leave our laundry unattended ...(we were standing outside having a 10 min smoke break - there were no signs stating how long the washers run for) as they are "losing money" We left and took our wet laundry with us. I'm not going back. Not recommended.

  • Mitchell Goldenberg

I was there, this morning I went to let. The owner know that,a machine I was using. There was water on,the floor she asked. If I didn't lock, the door I said no. She is very rude, also twenty minutes to. Dry a pair of, Dockers pants some machines. Are better than others, anyway won't be going back.

  • Roxanne Charlebois

This was my first time in laundromat, omg I was amazed by the staff/ owner who took the time to greet us, explained how these machines works, how much clothings you can fill in and how much soap to put. I've done 14 loads in an hour and half, wash, dry and folded! I highly recommend this place!

  • Luke Warm

helpful staff, very reasonable prices, plenty of machines of varying sizes and a quaint attached café to wait in. there is a very community feel to the place. i will say that bro with the glasses needs a gf desperately as he tried his hand with every lady who came in there.

  • Jo Guertin

The machines are great, the service is excellent. It costs quite a bit though (25 cents gets you 3 min of drying time) and it's virtually impossible to social distance in there. Otherwise, good place to go if you have heavy or bulky items your home machines can't handle.

  • Lyne Turcotte

Great service from the men working on site, absolutely helpful. But one of the large machines had the rubber lining on the inside door of the machine came out of place & water leaked out of the machine. Wouldn't suggest going on a Saturday unless it's super early!

  • Jessica Tennant

Friendly people, dead convenient. I can spend all day hauling loads up and down multiple flights of stairs to the coin wash in my basement, or I can wash everything I own in the industrial washers and dryers in 2-3 hours and get on with life. Worth the money imo.

  • Claudio Machado

Quality laundrymart. Very clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. Lots of different sized washing machines for differy load sizes. Prices rang from $4-8+ depending on washer size. Dryers are priced by the quarter. Lots of counter space for folding

  • MKQ King

Unexpectedly helpful staff. What a delight to experience service that we all wish we could find everywhere. Washing machine cleaned large duvet perfectly. Cafe's coffee was good enough to make a return trip just to have a cup.

  • Stefanie DeFilippi

Very rude and condescending upon drop-off and pickup of my wash-and-fold items. Also didn't have my items ready when they said they would and did not apologize for this. Awful customer service. Treat people better!

  • Andrew Manninen

The staff are completely rude. "Tim Hortons coffee is not allowed here [...] we serve coffee here that you have to buy." Never coming back here for the $4-8/load wash, $1 for 12 minutes in the dryer.

  • Garth Cote

Loved the fact that I recieved my courtesy card that I didn't know existed. 5 washes gives 21 minutes free drying time. Lots of different machines for different size loads. Friendly staff as well.

  • Cheryl Jeffery

The best laundromat in town ! My machine is being repaired and I’ve gone to a few others that do not compare. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Lots of machines to choose from too. Thank you

  • Zara Duns

After reading the reviews about "rude staff" I didn't have high expectations but the lady that was there when I came in was very helpful and friendly. Plenty of machines and not overly crowded.

  • Michaela

Very clean place, helpful staff and good prices. Can’t bet it hard to find a nice laundry mat in my area, I come from sandy hill because this is the best place i’ve found so far.

  • Benedicte K.

Staff keep hogging big machines saying that you have to wait because they need to wash 15-20 bags of clothing first. Just plain rude about too. I'm never coming back.

  • Victorious Moves

Place always crowded. The men employees are rude and the woman are more helpful and less rude . They don’t clean machines after each customer use . …

  • Kyle Cameron

The guy who works there (possibly the owner) is weird about the change machine … also very direct comes off as rude. But machine’s work well.

  • Jay-P

They buisness uses most of the machines for drop off orders. Not very clean and staff is rude. Smell of food sticks to your "clean" clothes.

  • Rob Simpson

Crazy the washers are like 6 bucks to 4 dollers and the dryers a 25 cents for two mins I would not recommend this ace at all

  • Jean Breton

The attendant was very helpful in answering any of the questions I had about any of the machines, very nice person

  • James Trauzzi

The owners are not nice to their customers. Go get your laundry done with a side of condescension and rudeness
