NYE 2022 paid 147.00 for a bowling experience for my 2 family of 4. The experience was to include , prizes for winning pins, door prizes, pizza and drinks, champagne at midnight, arcade games, pool, etc. What we got: Put on the other side of bowling area, 10 lanes, were, there were 0 winning pins games..( when i inquired why no colored winning pins were being put in our lane....according to the person behind the desk, the 30 lanes were not part of the nights winning pin games because they they were on strings and set up differently, "therefore you can't play" - pins kept getting stuck or game would freeze - no door prizes - we Did get pizza and drinks! - announcement of bottles of champagne available if you wanted some. What? Where was our glass of champagne for the total experience! - pool tables were realllly bad shape and stained from the 1990s, cues warped. - arcade games consisted of, grab a cheap fuzzy prize with a delinquent handle and some sort of spin game to win out of date Xbox and Playstation games. - there is an upstairs that appears to house some air hockey or something but 0 access is/was allowed. - carpet is stained, walls have holes, paint peeling, dirty and it appears to have not been cleaned since 1991 Overall I'm very disappointed with splitsville bowling for not giving some of us patrons the bowling experience we were hoping for. Cloverleaf was a great place to come in the 80s-90s and I was really looking forward to the same or even better experience. But boo on you. 147.00 ouch. That was NOT worth 147.00. Hence just 1 star. Will never return. I'm splittin'.

I grew up coming to this bowling alley as my mom bowled in the leagues here. This evening was the worst experience I've ever had. We arrived at 730 and was informed of the cheaper deal that started at 8pm. So we waited around for 30 minutes to then be told that they didn't offer that deal this weekend. We paid for 2 games (not timed) anyways. The first lane we were on didn't work and was giving us strikes then we had less pins hit. The score screen was all wonky and wasn't very clear. They then offered to move us to another lane. At this lane the balls never returned multiple times. We informed the staff many times in which they had to keep getting them for us. They told us it was our fault for bowling at the same time as the lane beside us. We never did this once, we would wait and watch each person as they bowled. It kept happening for the staff member to be standing behind us talking to another staff member saying that it's our fault. When I hears this, I told him it is not our fault as we have not bowled at the same time. He then proceeded to tell me "I'm not talking to you, I'm talking to him". Very unprofessional and rude. Last complaint was during our second game, the game timed out on us twice. The first time it said we ran out of time but we paid per game not a time slot. The second time it happened I gave up. I was so tired of the hassle of just trying to enjoy a night out for once. What a waste of $16/person for 7 of us. I will never return and you shouldn't either.

RACISM AND PHYSICAL THREATS FROM STAFF My friends and I are a group of international students who wanted to celebrate our graduation at this place. As new comers, we asked the person at the desk to explain to us the different offerings that the place had for us. That staff members for some reason got frustrated at us very quickly for asking 2-3 questions about their different offers and started throwing nasty looks and mumbling. I asked the staff if that mumbling was addressed to us and he immediately threatened to kick us out. He very disrespectfully threatened to “smash my face” if i didn’t start walking and told my partner to “go back to her country”My friends and i were very surprised by such a degenerate and unreasonable reaction from this “professional” as we haven’t seen such lack of hospitality since we came to Canada. The guy said that he was going to call the cops which sounded like a relief to us given how aggressive that man was but we decided to go out before things get out of proportion.

Had two lanes booked for six people 2 who showed up late but the other 4 were waiting. The person on the desk put the four on one lane and when the other two arrived even though we had not started she said she could not put it as three and three. My friend was able to put the third name on the lane but half way through out second game the lane turned off. When we asked what had happened she said because we added the extra person all the frames were taken up. We did not use the frames on the other lane and she didn't fix the issue. We were there for a birthday so half the people there sat and watched the other half finish. It's a shame it is the only place in town or we wouldn't be back. What can you really expect from a bowling alley on a weekend. We were going to ask for a refund on the frames left on the other lane but I truly believe the employees would be incapable of understanding that .

Lets start this review off by saying thank you for accommodating my wife, daughter, her 4 friends and myself at the very last minute when another bowling ally (limestone lanes) shund us away for not having 20 people or more in our party group. The staff was absolutely amazing very knowledgeable extremely nice even tho it was under renovations it was still an amazing time they gave the birthday girl (my daughter) a birthday girl pin gave her a coupon for 30 min free bowling let us bring cupcakes and do her presents right in the bowling ally what an amazing place with even better staff would highly recommend this place for a kids birthday party or just a night out very clean good bowling balls nice lanes music was great i would give it 100 stars if it would let me just a great experience and great customer service

READ BEFORE GOING: We had a terrible experience at Splitzville last night. We arrived and were not allowed to use 10 pin; fine. 5 pin it is. Then, our ball return was not working. Then, the gate malfunctioned. They acted annoyed with us when we kept asking for help. They transferred us to different lanes, but simply kept the game where it was at rather than allowing us to restart that round. It then kicked us out before we reached round 10. When we enquired again, the woman says "Malfunctions happen. You guys entered the players incorrectly." as if it was somehow our own fault. No offer to remedy the situation but rather, just an annoyed and rude woman. We used to love going to Cloverleaf, but now, Splitzville is a $hit show. Don't bother; save your money!!

Lovely place, bit outdated but love that the place will be getting a remodel! Been bowling there for 17 years when it was called Cloverleaf, it's needed a remodel for years now as the lanes are showing its age! With the new ownership, staff have been super accommodating promising it'll get better after the renovations. They also finally have debit, food, and have added a bunch of arcade machines! It's really exciting coming each week to see what new upgrades they are bringing to this bowling alley! All the staff are super friendly and I never have to worry when I have a problem, as they solve it super fast! Thanks so much everyone for your hard work! Can't wait to see what the future holds for this bowling alley I grew up with!!

Apparently you are now charged per frame instead of per lane. One "game" is only for 2 people. If you have more then they charge you for another lane. Even if you use only one lane. They double charge on shoe rentals for another game. Lady at the desk was rude when I asked for clarification. And claimed this is what I asked for. Edit: we went and wanted a single lane. It's a max of 5 people per lane. We had 5 people. We asked for 2 games. And after playing 10 frames were informed that was "2" games. 1 game only covers 2 people. Not sure how that worked out for 5 people. And were told that if we wanted to play 2 games we would have to pay for 10 games. I don't see how that is per person or per lane. That is per frame.

The women at the counter was super rude and disrespectful. We went as a group and we were trying to bowl together which we were ok with waiting. I called earlier to book a reservation like it says on the site however they don't take reservations. Our kids also didn't get to finish their game because the screen stopped at the 9th frame and the rude lady would not extend it one frame without the receipt. She didn't give us a receipt when we paid. they only take cash.... maybe keep up with the times and get a debit machine and higher some polite people to be the face of your establishment. We will continue to support the bowling on base. Go to base they are always happy and great to deal with.

  • Jesse Edgar

Do not waste your money going here. We went, paid a deposit for lanes for 7pm. Staff said they didn’t know about a reservation or a deposit. So we waited half an hour. We then received three of our lanes. Not only did we not get our two full games ( was cut off half way through) but the technical difficulties causes more than half an hour on each lane of no play time. ( 1 hour for the one lane alone) They also did not have ANY regular sizes of shoes, and said that’s not their problem. We left and were told to call back about our deposit. They refused to give us back our deposit nor did they put it towards our game (1.5) the manager was rude, and arrogant. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

  • Jesse Duncan

Terrible experience. Originally set up on one lane and halfway through the first round one of the pins break off. Took 20 mins for staff to come to the conclusion it couldn't be fixed and moved us to a different lane. Finished our first game and in round 3 of our second the pins would no longer reset and the whole system shut down. Took over 30 mins to find a staff member willing to help but then they couldn't fix it. So another 10 mins before someone else comes to help and by this time we had lost hope in finishing our game so we left in frustration.

I haven't been here since it was cloverleaf, visited splitsville the week of December 14th 2022 reasonable prices alcohol and food available for purchase. It doesn't seem like much has been updated in past 15-20 years some lanes were out of service and on screen graphics and screens themselves need major updating. That being said there are plans in place to renovate so hopefully all above issues will be a thing of the past, also my reasoning for giving 4 stars instead of 2 or 3. Still a blast!!!

  • Ken Stevenson

Disappointing to say the least. Lanes were not maintained, proper bowling was not possible. We went on a slow night I felt bad for the staff. Should just be closed for renovations, it appeared to be quite dirty and uncared for. Food service was cut off with no warning they did last call for food and 3 minutes later we tried to order and were denied. Wish they told us when we checked in. Long list of complaints but I cant be bothered to continue writing. I guess we should have known before going.

  • Puneet Singh

We used to come here a lot but today is my worst experience here. The previous staff was so good and nice but the new staff is not cooperative at all. We got an hour game and i just asked the guy behind the counter name(Chris) to just change the lane and he said no that i can’t change the lane. When i asked why? he said every line is reserved and they are coming in 20 mins but nobody walked in for reservations. Do waste your time here. The staff is so rude and racist

  • cynthia1987riley

I was extremely disappointed that the owners removed the “all you can bowl” on Sunday and Monday during March break to make more money. It’s just plain greed. Secondly this is second time that our lane got stuck every time our kids bowled so we had to keep fixing it all night which took away from our playing time. We were stuck beside really rude Queens students who kept taking the bowling balls our kids needed to use. Expensive and outdated.

  • ii_Mollii

It was terrible. The lane didn't work but instead of offering us a new lane staff would just come over once in a while to pull the door down so it wouldn't keep score as it just kept all the pins up and it tool us forever to finish the game because we would just wait for them to help us. There is one woman who works there who is so lovely, the rest basically ignored us and treated us like a bother. Too bad as we love bowling.

  • Night Crawler

We had a lot of fun, we played 10 pin, but they also have 5 pin. The machine wouldn't always register when a ball was thrown, it happened to my girlfriend a lot where she would get up to 4 ball throws in a single frame. While we aren't competitive and just having a good time, it made us laugh. Besides the sensor not noticing a ball was thrown when done too slowly. Great place. We will definitely be going again.

  • Candice Kerr

We went October 2nd 2022 and it was so fun! The food was delicious kids really had fun playing the games :) such a great family experience! The women cooking was playing call with my little one well she had no orders , front desk women was so polite and there was a nice guy with glasses and helped with anything we needed ! 5 out of 5 so impressed. Very clean! Cheap also+ thank you for the great day!

  • Mathew Harper

This place (the Cloverleaf) has been around for decades. Looks as though Cloverleaf sold it to Splitsville and is in desperate need of updating. The scoring machines are a good 20 years old. They still have Cloverleaf all over the inside. Was going to order food but they had no fryer. Prices were to high for what they offered without being able to make something as simple as fries ..

  • Storm Ygk

Great bowling alley for family and friend fun! Prices are decent and not too expensive ! The staff are absolutely wonderful and the alley itself is clean. Can get busy on weekends can always call ahead to see how many lanes are open! Snack and bar are available which is also decently priced! Pool and arcade are also available at this location! Great place for some competive fun!

  • Claire Notman

Spent my son's birthday here and can't say enough good things about the staff, service (believe me, I'm surprised to say that!) Everything was organized, clean and the food arrived on time and hot. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! Great bang for your buck if you don't want to spend $300+ on a party. Can't wait to return without the kids!

  • Rebecca Dedrick

Really disappointed with my experience today, the lane malfunctioned so much we couldn’t complete a single game. I asked them to cancel our third game, hoping to play more once the lane was fixed. Instead she cancelled all of my games and refused to refund me the full amount. So we left having paid 14 dollars to not even finish a full game.

  • Sameer Ashraf

Why have the options to use bumpers for beginner players and children, but then told not to use them incase they break. The entire point of bumpers to to BE HIT to help you hit your pins. You might as well not have got the bumpers included if the feature is not allowed to be used…. Disappointed with this service will not come back again.

  • David Timan

Great spot for hanging out and bowling. Seem to be a few kinks around playing pool... they need loonies for the pool tables but dont have an atm or change machine and cant get you cash back from a card so had to go down the street to the bmo to get money to then change into loonies... was a bit silly.

  • Amber Snider

Overall a fun place for bowling. Our lane kept freezing up so we had to switch. The main reason for not having the 5th star is because we didn't get extra time added on for all the waiting we had to do which ended up being 15-20 minutes wasted. The staff were very nice, especially in the kitchen!

  • Chris Eliason

I had fun, no cosmic bowling but they are currently under construction. $6 per person, per game + $3.50 for shoe rentals is a steal. Where else are you going to find cheaper entertainment? I am looking forward to the renovations completed, I want to see the arcade, restaurant, and pool tables.

  • Tammy Maxsom-Hunt

We went there with my daughter's ringette team while we were in Kingston for a tournament. They were great to deal with over the phone and via email, and ready for us when we arrived. It is an older facility, but staffed well, and everyone was willing to help. We would recommend it to others.

  • Branden Bristow

It was very busy, and we had to wait 40mins. Which wouldn't of been bad but the lane we were given was broken and we had to hit the reset button every time we throw. As it is by the hour, most of the hour was taken by broken lanes. And finding a ball size that was good was impossible.

  • Nicole D'Aloisio

Cannot applaud Splitsville Kingston more. They hosted our charity event and were the most accommodating and wonderful team to work with. An absolute pleasure to work with, and handled our large group with ease. Highly recommend them for an event. I am excited to come back.

  • Brittany Potter

Splitsville is a fun experience, the bowling is really fun, the food is amazing, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and they are renovating to update everything so it's going to be even better! I highly recommend Splitsville. The owner is a really nice guy as well.

  • David

Great place for bowling. I took my girlfriend on a date here and the staff was very friendly. Large selection of bowling balls for everyone. It’s an older place but overall it was a great experience. Bring cash because they do not take credit cards or debit.

  • Shakera Strassburger

Accessible location right on the Bath main Rd where meets Princess St. The building has a large area on the inside and suitable for family and friends. There’s adequate parking and it’s easily accessible. Friendly staff and descent prices. I recommend.

  • Molly Low

Met up with friends after work. Our lane was very glitchy and kept freezing that we constantly needed to ask staff to fix it. Eventually they moved us to another lane which was also glitchy (scoring and resetting pins) but at least it was playable.

  • Jamie Seale

Don’t usually review, but I saw the others with a lot of front desk lady bad reviews. When my family was there the front desk lady and the bar lady were absolutely amazing. Definitely will go back and recommend. My son is 7 and had a blast.

  • chad dahc

Went there with my friends tonight, we paid for an hour and only needed a few more minutes to finish our game. The lovely lady behind the cash added a few minutes so we could finish our lovely evening. Will be coming back. Thanks again

  • Taylor Chew

bowling was fun. however the lady behind the counter was rude to probably 6 customers, including myself. P.S. not worth the money considering you never get to finish your hour and half of the lanes are constantly out of order.

  • Kailey Leavitt

First time going to cloverleaf lanes , clean and inviting environment with friendly staff. Great place to go with friends/family , kid friendly Offers both 5 and 10 pin bowling , arcade games & pool table available aswell.

  • Newman Eden

Place is under renovation. Only 10 pin is being offered. The restaurant, upper floor and arcade are not in operation currently. Still had a good time with what they had. New furniture, screens and software.

  • Mann Prabh

Well, we enjoyed but here is an employee name with Cris. He is very rude, no sense to talk with the customer, very dissatisfied with him, never wanna come again. Otherwise everything was good

  • Jules Sarvari

Went here for a family out, while visiting family in Kingston. Great time, but if you got big hand/fingers. And it’s a busy night, be prepared to hunt for bowling balls.

  • Bruce Gray

Fun bowling experience for the whole family. Well lit, reasonable prices and just right busy to let us enjoy our experience. I would highly recommend this location.

  • Emily Bickell
