Finally had time to go to service...my friend brought me here, and I was immediately touched by the full presence of the spirits and Saints...it's a very very holy church I think everyone should go there at least once to experience it it just came over, it scooped over me and brought me to a place of peace... You can still have communion there I will go back that is a beautiful beautiful gifted Church, and I look forward to receiving that piece of sanity and calm unexplainable peaceness only He can give.. it was lovely to be able to like candles for all my spirits and Saints and Friends it was so nice so fulfilling I really recommend this place

ST MICHAELS THIS IS ONE OF THE LAST CATHEDRALS LEFT AROUND IN CHICAGO,, THIS CHURCH WAS THE CHURCH WERE ALL MY AUNTS AND UNCLES WERE MARRIED IN MAYBE 10 ,, ALSO I WENT TO SCHOOL THERE IN 1960-1961 ,,FAMILY MEMBER AND COUSINS MARRIED THERE TOO SO MANY I CANT COUNT..MY MOM N DAD WERE MARRIED THERE IN LIKE 1953 I THINK WOW SO LONG AGO STILL BEAUTIFUL...THE PART I REMEMBER MOST WAS ST MICHAEL FIGHTING THE DEVIL WAY UP HI IN THE FRONT OF THE CHURCH.. BUT THERE IS NO PICTURE OF THAT AND THE PRIESTS WOULD TALK IN THE SEA SHELLS STANDS IN FRONT OF CHURCH.. WELL GOD BLESS ST MICHAELS CHURCH..AT LEAST I LEARNED ABOUT GOD THERE.. I SAW HIM IN THE PICTURES

I've been attending the Sunday evening mass at St. Michael in Old Town since January 1990. Every Sunday my family would drive 45+ minutes to get to the Sunday night mass eager to hear the Mustard Seed Choir sing during mass and whatever homily the priest gave that somehow always tied into what was going on in our lives. My husband and I married there in 2002. Both our children were baptized there and I sing with the Sunday night choir - a dream that turned to reality shortly after marrying my husband.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be adored, glorified, loved and preserved throughout the world now and forever. Scared Heart of Jesus pray for us. Saint Jude worker of miracles pray for us. Saint Jude helper of the hopeless pray for us. Thank you Jesus and Saint Jude for favors received.. say 9 times a day and by the 8th day your request will be fulfilled..pray for Chicago and the state of Illinois to get some sense...

Beautiful church. Daily Mass is in the chapel on the left of the main church. Entrance is hidden between the buildings, so it was a little hard to find. No kneelers in the main church, but it's a beautiful, peaceful place to pray. Thankfully they keep the church accessible during the day, which is nice.

I’ve been living here for a long time, but I recently visited Saint Michaels church for the first time. It was very beautiful. The ceiling, the windows, everything was really beautiful and it was definitely worth a visit. Also, the people there were very nice.

A classic church that was built before and actually survived the Chicago fire. Tons of history. Beautiful interior with very picturesque stain glass windows. It is in the heart of old Town with scenic walks straight down to the lake and Lincoln Park Zoo.

On 7-1-23, my daughter got married at St. Michael. I can not say enough about the day at St. Michael. Everyone who helped to make the wedding special for my daughter and her now husband. Thank you for all you did.

Went here for a concert. Stunning interior. Reverberation time a bit long, makes it difficult to hear clearly. If you haven't been there, go see it. Small parking lot and crowded street parking, but worth it.
