The worst customer service! Stay away! I purchased GLE 450 in December 2020. The car broke 2 days later. They took it to the dealership and kept it for 6 weeks. They gave me a small loaner and said it’s fine. 6 months later had my appointment booked for tire change. Came to the dealership they said no appointment was booked. Had to wait another 8 weeks for the tires to be changed. In Spring 2022 brought the vehicle to swap tires back to summer tires noted that winter tires are worn unevenly and one of the tires was completely bold in the middle. I talked to some mechanics and they told me that most likely the tire was overinflated… In addition I had an appointment on Thursday left the vehicle the day before and told them that I’ll pick it up on Saturday. When I came to pick it up on Saturday it was still not ready. Told them to investigate why the tire was bold. Had no response for 6 months even after dozen of phone calls. Had to complaint to the general manager who charged me for the cost of the tire that was bold(over $1000). He promised that he will credit the cost back by the end of the year and he never fulfilled his promise and never admitted his mistake. In June 2022 the electronics was acting up again and the headlights would not turn off. Phoned the dealership to report the issue. They said it’s OK and they will see me in 6 weeks. I told them that the radiator fan would turn on on its own in the middle of the night. It was still OK for them. Had to keep my car outside worrying that it would catch fire. They finally took my car for service and kept it for another 6 weeks. As a loaner they gave me A class (the smallest sedan). What a joke, I paid for a luxury large SUV and as a loaner got the cheapest car while paying the full lease. When I purchased the vehicle they promised to have valet service as I work from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. After some time they said they do not offer that service due to COVID… a very unprofessional excuse… it was safer for me and dealership to send a person who I could give a key outside then me going inside the dealership and contacting several people… To sum up I’d say that I had the car for 18 months of which 3 the vehicle spent in the dealership. They charged me for the tire which got bold because of their fault. Stay away from this dealership! They would lie to you and will do damage to your car (overinflated my tire) and charge you for the tire… no wonder they have such a big turnover of the employees…

It’s a shame I have to give this a one star (I would give it less if I could) especially because I had such an amazing Sales experience with George, however the after-care and service experience was absolutely awful. I felt like I was being taken advantage of by their service team just because I’m a female. They gave me a questionable diagnosis that my rear brake pads are worn down to 2-3mm which they said was unsafe and (felt like I was being forced to do the service) and was very pushy about me getting this changed. I declined and had a local mechanic take a look at my rear brake pads and they were nowhere near 2-3mm. I may not know much about cars but I know what 2-3mm looks like. I have pictures of the report from Star Motors and a picture we took of the rear brake pads contradicting their report. We tried to bring our concerns and spoke with the director Eric. While he initially seemed like he was willing to help, we did not hear back from him for a while and any attempts at following up with him via email or phone calls were unanswered. What a horrible, horrible experience with the Service Centre that is now making me rethink purchasing another Mercedes in the future. It’s absolutely shameful that I felt taken advantage of just because I’m a female. I eventually had to escalate things to their corporate and only then did they get back to me to bring back my car. Big surprise, we were right and they ended up having to refund what they charged me for the initial “service” they charged me for. Safe to say I did not bring my Mercedes back to this location once it was time to do the annual servicing. Had a much better experience at a different Mercedes dealership. I do not recommend this location at all for your servicing needs.

By far the worst most unprofessional dealership I have ever dealt with. I’ve had an on going issue with Starmotors since January and I am writing this as of June. The service has been absolutely awful and their negligence and lies have ruined my car. When I spoke to them about it they couldn’t even get a story straight as to whether the car was inspected or just “test driven” but I was charged for an inspection anyway. They also falsely claimed that my heat shield was tightened as that’s what was causing the noise but then admitted that it wasn’t. Stories aren’t straight, they work on a basis of lies and deceptions and most of all dishonesty. I’ve never picked up the car and had it in better condition than when I dropped it off. They delay every little visit and that makes things very difficult as we all have busy lives. Their negligence has caused multiple life-threatening situations while driving the car such as oil leaking onto the road. They then went ahead and replaced the entire engine without contacting me. After all that they asked me to sign an NDA to prohibit me from “defaming” them however defamation only applied to what’s not true. I refused to sign. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. Extremely shady. Edit: you guys have no regard for our time. I’ve wasted 5 months and counting and even simple things that should’ve been ready upon arrival cannot be completed. I came in the other day and we had discussed a form of transportation prior to our meeting whether it be a dealership car or a rental and that was not ready and you had to be reminded leaving me to wait again for another hour. Understand that time will always be much more valuable than money and wasting my time will always be a bigger crime than wasting my money.

Over a week ago, my partner and I, started to look for a car that could last the test of times and still not lose its character. I have always looked at Mercedes Benz as a status symbol of class, elegance and excellent durability. Kinda gives people the impression of once you own one, you’ve made it type of deal. Said to myself, I’m not rich and also thought, I could just imagine how its dealerships would be, full of stuck up, snobbish people that won’t give you the time of day. But then I thought, if we were going to be stuck on many yrs of payment, we have to at least look at our possibilities of owning one. I googled it and saw star motors dealership. I entered my name and phone number to inquire about a car I was eyeing on, and Steve from Star motors, emailed me, and asked if I wanted to see the one I was interested in, in person. Actually took few days til I made up my mind and decided to finally make the appointment. He sent us to meet Mr. Mony Reth, who we thought, was very friendly. He was happy, relaxed and very knowledgeable, which made us feel at ease and honestly, confident on picking the right one for us for us. I, usually refrain from leaving reviews cause I don’t know how ppl will receive it, but with this experience, I felt like I had to share this so other ppl that’s thinking about getting their new or even gently used cars , would be encouraged just like I was, and not miss out on the experience. I have to say, few years from now, when we pay this new baby off, we would definitely go back to have the experience all over again lol Thank you, Mr. Mony Reth of Star motors Ottawa!

Dealing with Mony was an absolute pleasure! Mony is extremely patient, I never felt pressured to make a decision, and most importantly, a professional - who knows the car business inside and out. I had a amazing experience with Mony who helped me purchase my first pre-owned Mercedes Benz. From the moment I walked into the dealership, he was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure I was well informed as he shared all historical data on the vehicle. He patiently answered all my questions, explained the features, and even took the time to demonstrate how everything worked. To my surprise on the delivery of the vehicle, Mony had arranged and replaced the entire driver’s seat due to a small tear that I had failed to identify. Mony is a professional with plenty of experience. He is very friendly and made the entire process enjoyable. Mony arranged to have the vehicle detailed for a second time to ensure that nothing was missed in initial all thanks to this exceptional salesman's dedication and expertise. The car looked great that first day as I left the STAR MOTORS with a big smile on my face, I highly recommend him and the staff to anyone in search of a great car-buying experience! I also had the vehicle financed through them and of note as well is Josee’s; a financial officer asset at STAR MOTORS who went above and beyond to facilitate the best rate possible. Josee was truly instrumental is ensuring a stress-free experience when signing all relevant documents to finalise the purchase.

Avoid this location at all costs for anything service/body work related. The PARTS are at this location is still an A+. However, since new service management of this location, the Service on my vehicle is horrible (strong F-). In fact the service advisors vandalized my vehicle to damage the body of my vehicle. When I confronted them because I checked my vehicle they were claiming something else cause the damages. I have the phone record. They are cons artist! I never had these issues before and all the good people left to work elsewhere...Also, I'm not sure what chemicals they used to clean my vehicle, but now things are peeling and chipping around my vehicle. I was initially going to have the detailing in Montreal, but thought I would try this location out. Big mistake!!!! Pay for a Gold service but get bronze work and the cleaning material they use damages your vehicle! Also had other work done and the service management don't care and think that you as a customer doesn't know your vehicle. They are making up stories and excuse, instead of rectifying the issue. They do not honour their word and their communication is misleading! I dod not recommend the service area at this location. They, with malice, damaged my vehicle and want more $$$ to diagnose a problem they created. Perhaps the downtown location is the only option if I am unable to drive to Montreal at West Island (superb service!!!!)

Do yourself a favor and stay far away. No joke probably the worst MB service department I have ever dealt with. Understaffed and poorly managed. Tried to reach them for over a month and a half for a service appointment. Called them probably 30 times and sent 3 emails, (have email receipts as proof from May 27th it's now July 10th) always either directed to a lazy service advisor who gives false promises and never reaches back out, or straight to a managers voicemail. Poorly ran and managed dealership, their main priority is sales. Leaving voicemails doesn't help because you'll never get a call back, if you want something, your best bet is to walk in there. All of this explains their high turnover rate of techs and why I hear constant negative reviews about the dealership. Go to the other MB dealership in St Laurent and save yourself the headache and time. By the way after all of this, the Manager finally gave me a call back today and his answer was "I can book you in for September for a service appointment" lol.

I had a check engine light on in our car , I called the service department who told me to come in right away and they will quickly scan the code and clear it. I drove 45 minutes and parked our car in there service bay. I then had coffee in their showroom for almost an hour. The service advisor came to me at the end of the day and said sorry we won’t have time to scan your car today come back tomorrow. I wasted 3 hours of my time. Fast forward a month I have been to this dealer 3 times in one month for the same issue and I still have a check engine light. Im just not impressed from the customer service stand point of this dealer. And they don’t have any respect for your time.I just dropped our car off today again and they said they will look at it in two weeks.. so another two weeks with out a car. This is probably our last Mercedes car, lots of issues with a car with less than 50,000KM on it.

That was the worst experience I have ever had at a Mercedes dealer. I signed the contract and paid the deposit, and the sales consultant said it would take 4 days to deliver the car. The car needed to have the driver's seat repaired and the inside cleaned. After 5 days, I called the finance manager to inquire about the car's readiness. She informed me that I could either get it without the seat repair the next day or wait until the end of the week to receive it with all the fixes. I decided to wait for a couple of days and called her back again. She checked with the service department and confirmed a delivery date and time for the next 2 days. I went to their office with a bank draft and insurance to pick up the car, but to my dismay, the car was not ready, and the inside had not been cleaned at all. Unfortunately, the purchase contract was canceled, and I ended up losing 10 days.

My husband and I went in on a Monday evening around 7pm and put a $1000 deposit on a car with the condition of test drive because at this point it was 9pm and the dealership was closed and we also had to get home. We scheduled an appointment to test drive the car on Friday as thats the only day that worked for BOTH of us to come in. After some push from the dealership I was able to go in on Wednesday afternoon to drive the car but my husband still couldn’t make it in until Friday. On Thursday evening we get a call saying the used car manager wasnt happy with the deal that was given to us and they have gone ahead and sold the car to someone else… They were more than happy to take my deposit but could not hold their end of the bargain which is really disappointing from such a big brand and dealership. That was a very slimy and unprofessional move on their end.

During a recent service of my vehicle, the service advisor,Lucky Patel, informed me of the prepaid service option for 3 years. Lucky took time with me to outline the benefits of this program. He was very knowledgeable of the program including the financial benefit. I purchased the prepaid service for 3 years. In addition, Lucky outlined the likely expenditures I can expect in the next three years. My 3 year lease had just expired and given the very low mileage, I decided to purchase my vehicle and was paricularly interested in the cost of future maintenance expenditures. Lucky walked me through the details. I was very appreciative to receive this information. I truely received excellent service from Star Motors and in particular from Luckey Patel. Bill Fenton A longtime MBcustomer. PS: The GLE is one of the best SUVs on the road. A real pleasure to drive.

Firstly I do not own a Mercedes but after witnessing the ridiculous run around experienced by my colleague and the outright discrimination experienced by my father at Star Motors, I will NEVER deal with them. This dealership is very happy to take one's money but does not provide any support later on. My colleague had the misfortune of purchasing her Mercedes at Star Motors and now must deal with rescheduled appointments, phones not being answered, lack of shuttle services and a huge run around. Whereas my dad was being ignored for over 20 minutes because he came in wearing work clothes. He paid for his vehicle in cash, by the way. I am so disappointed in this treatment by a supposed high class establishment. Shame on you, Star Motors. DO BETTER!

Not only that Salah took the time to help me decide choose the car and the suitable upgrades, he also understood exactly what I wanted, his professional advice, knowledge and Experience are so valuable and he made my purchasing experience a very special one. Had my car serviced today and even though my bill was a substantial amount I left Star Motors happy and confident because of the wonderful service I had. Aldis went above and beyond to help get my car serviced in a timely manner as I need it for taking care for my elderly parent. Ashley is a firecracker who without a doubt is a valued asset to the team. Despite the service department being very busy Curtis was very patient and took the time to explain all the services my car was in need of. Mercedes Benz should be happy that they have hard working and committed staff working for them, especially when we are living in crazy times where it is very hard to get service.

Took my 2020 Kia Soul EX in for a cracked bumper from hitting a stump on a campsite at 4 kpm's and related damage. It took 6 weeks to get the bumper from China or wherever. Insurance covered a rental car for 4 weeks - and Star Collision gave me a 2121 Mercedes rocket disguised as an SUV (3 L double turbo) with self parking among other features - - (no coffee maker) - - and the 360 camera and sensor protection were awesome. The body work? Perfect. I'm a repeat customer - - it was recommended by my insurance company and I had no deductible so it was a very positive experience. I liked that they would return the rental car for me and I loved the loaner. Ask for Matt.

Came by yesterday to buy a vehicle and was essentially kicked out to phrase it nicely as for whatever reason they thought I wanted to export whatever vehicle I was looking into purchasing. Needless to say, I drove 15 minutes to the Mercedes on St Laurent where I'd previously purchased vehicles before and completed a purchase for the same vehicle within an hour. Will never come to this dealership again and would advise everyone else to avoid it. If you want a Mercedes, go to the dealership on St Laurent, they're actual professionals and courteous. To the dealership manager, I hope you get fired for discrimination. I'll be reporting this incident to headquarters.

I bought a 2021 G63 at Star Motors of Ottawa, there were a couple minor hiccups (partially my own fault as I'm an oddly particular person) but the overall experience was great. Worked with Josee, Mansour and Adam mostly, all great professional people to work with. Dealership is probably one of the nicer ones I've had the pleasure of purchase a vehicle at. The process was simple and straight forward, pickup was flawless. I've only had one interaction with Service/Parts, seemed solid to me, also seem to go a bit beyond and above. Great dealership, great people. You can't really ask for more when spending the big dollars.

This dealership has no trouble selling your a car, they just can't service it. Too busy catering to the AMG crowd to take care of us lowly C-class customers. Twice I've tried to book service appointments with availability only in 2 months. Sounds like they are busy but it turns out they can't keep staff and prioritize AMG customers and winter/summer tire changes. Wish I had stuck with Audi. Edit to dealer response: Sorry, I'm taking the advice of your service representative from this morning and booked an appointment with an independent shop... for tomorrow, not December 14.

They are super nice when purchasing a vehicle, however the exact opposite when it comes to repairs. For everything they fix, they break something else. The vehicle was initially taken in the winter, they told us nothing is wrong and the vehicle is safe. The engine tore itself apart before we even got a mile from the dealership. And get this, they tried to get us to sign and NDA to try and avoid getting sued. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and it's been one headache after another ever since. Save yourself the trouble, go to Ogilvie Mercedes instead.

It was my first time getting a MB and the whole experience was great. My sales consultant, Mony Reth, was very helpful too, took the time to understand our needs and walked us through all details and features of the car. The delivery went smooth as well, but the paper work process could have been slightly better. They should actually provide a copy of some of the agreements for us to read when we put down a deposit rather than expediting the process during the delivery date. But overall their service was exceptional.

I love my Mercedes but the aftercare/service at Star is horrible! Our vehicle was missing a few feature and they passed it off like it’s not usually there anyways. A SUV with no trunk latch or open button, really? Engine light came on under a year old and they booked for service TWO months later. Luckily did not seem to be a huge issue and the vehicle still ran fine. Never an offer of a loaner or even ride somewhere when car is in service. It’s too band because I truly love my SUV.

He even guided us in finding an installer for the Level 2 home charger and went out of his way to make our experience pleasant and the process efficient. He quickly assessed that all wipers required replacement and immediately facilitated the work order and obtained the replacement parts. All I have to say is we were fortunate to have a great team working with us throughout every step. Mike my salesman who went over and beyond to find us the right car. Sam the finance manager who made sure we had everything we needed before signing the papers and finally Leo who took his time showing us everything we need to know about the car taking us step by step on how to on everything our car’s features.

I will avoid this dealer for both service and sales. I had an issue with my car that I covered at my cost but was later told someone in the management ranks it would be warrantied and refunded. It has been three months and that warranty refund hasn't come and has required me calling every week and getting the run around. Refilling my claim with CAMVAP. Will avoid Star Motors at all costs.

Phil Brown, sales manager: He will sell you a 10 year rust protection warranty that doesn't cover commercial vehicles, let you purchase the vehicle with your R.I.N and then ignore your calls, emails and completely dodge you when you need to use the warranty.
