I placed a mobile order this morning (2/28/22) for pick up. When I arrived to pick up, the lobby was closed with a small sign on the door stating so. By this time I had already parked and walk to the door and was then able to read this sign and a line of over five cars had accumulated. I was unable to wait in this drive through line which is why I planned ahead and ordered through the app for pick up. This feature should have been turned off, which I know is possible because I have intentionally skipped out on locations that could not handle the volume at the time and turned off mobile ordering which I could have done today. I called a few times with the phone line giving a busy signal which is expected because it was ~7am and busy. On the third try, an employee answered and I explained to her that I was unable to wait in the drive through and if a refund could be provided. She advised me that a refund could only be accomplished in store and unfortunately the lobby is closed and I would have to return when the lobby is open to request a refund. It was a nightmare trying to get out of the parking lot once parked because the line was now wrapped around the building and blocking all of the parking spots. I try my hardest to visit local coffee shops when ever possible but unfortunately most of them in the downtown area don’t up until 8am.

I work in the area so I often patronize this location. After today, I will not. The individual who took my drive-thru order, Walter, also happens to have been the manager on duty. From the beginning, he was rude and borderline belligerent. I started to order -- and was interrupted with a demanding "ma'am, did you want pastries or food?" When I said no, I then proceeded to order, "one tall skinny vanilla latte and one iced green tea, light ice." Again, rude response of "Ma'am, give me a minute to catch up on your order". I was exasperated and leaned my head back on my car head rest. I did not say anything, did not make any verbal complaint at all. Then he said, "please, don't pass out on me." (Obviously, they have a camera at the order screen). I waited, as he requested, before trying to continue my order. I was trying to "give him a minute to catch up". Then he said, "I'm waiting for the rest of your order." I told him I didn't know if he was ready. His reply, "well, you passed out". I have never had an experience like this with any food service establishment. When I returned to my office, I called to complain to the manager on duty. That's when I found out that the person who had taken the order was the manager on duty. There are so many Starbucks locations in this city. I will find another close by.

*Edit: Hours are constantly changing. According to Google Maps this location opens at 5:30 but it’s 5:40 and the door isn’t open.* The service is great, I come here on a regular basis to study. The baristas are nice and welcoming which I really appreciate. The coffee is great, although I'm not an avid coffee drinker and just need the boost to continue studying actively. But it gets the job done without tasting terrible. I gotta somewhat disagree with the previous review. True being on the corner really isn't appealing but it's close enough. From Oppenheimer or the Chance building it's a 10 minute walk to the Starbucks, 20 minutes if you're slow. The drive is 2 minutes and that's from waiting at the light by the Beer n' all, which I recommend taking because it's easier to turn left to have easier access to getting into the Starbucks. There are two Starbucks locations on campus already at the MLC and Loftin center making both sides of campus well covered in my opinion. My *only* complaint of this Starbucks is that it is absurdly cold (24/7) and gets worse the later you go, and the longer you stay. Take a jacket if you plan on staying more than an hour, leave it in your car if you don't believe me. But if you sweat when it's over 70 F or get hot flashes by all means this location is for you!

Went to this location since it is close to work. I wanted to organize some paperwork. use the restroom (emergency). Initially they’re welcome and why did the coach the restroom. Like I said, it was an emergency took me a bit longer than expect, the knocking as well was expected. No, there was a blonde heavyset woman outside with a very judgmental look on her face. The two young boys golf course, laughing on how long it took in the restroom. Once order was paid for, and given. Employees continue overheard them jokingly saying that I was probably drugs in the restroom. No I continued what I set my mind to, but was reminded very early, they closed at 8:30. After a couple minutes, I went ahead and decided to leave. As I was leaving, I overheard employee speaking into the headset that he thinks that high the customer knows that they were talking about me very rude service.

My experience at this Starbucks was pretty unpleasant. Firstly, the cappuccino I ordered was a disappointment, featuring minimal foam and a taste that resembled plain coffee. Not a word of thanks was offered for my tip. The atmosphere was also tainted by an unwarranted and uncomfortable restroom encounter. Exactly at what seemed like a timed 10 minutes of use, I was subjected to incessant and loud knocking and a hostile announcement threatening removal. The unwelcoming stares from fellow customers upon exiting only intensified my discomfort. The combination of poor restroom management and subpar beverage quality left me with a negative impression, and I hope for substantial improvements in both service and ambiance at this location.

Coffee itself is good, execution not so much. The staff here seems mostly new and they often aren’t able to take requests for off menu items and also struggle with what’s on the menu already because they don’t know the recipes and often don’t misunderstand orders. I guess starbucks didn’t train their new staff? I feel really bad for them. There’s almost always an issue anytime I order. Lately, every time I ask for a SPLASH of half and half or heavy cream I end up with coffee-milk. Sometimes I ask for a redo, but no matter what they always put WAY more than a splash of cream. Just ordering a simple iced americano w/ sugar free vanilla gets treated like the most complicated order. I don’t blame the staff at all, I blame their management. I’ve worked in places that refused to train me and they were by far the most stressful, so I really feel for them

Employees were amazing and friendly. Coffee was high quality. However, the manager was horrendous. He labeled my cup incorrectly twice, became angry with the girl on bar for asking what it was (once again, he labeled it wrong, I watched him). He then started demeaning to another employee who tried helping correct the label, saying something very inappropriate that I will not repeat. And AFTER THAT, left the three employees to service the long line of customers by saying, "I'm tired of this s@&!" and walked to the back, never returning, and leaving his employees to figure everything out. Once again, the employees were friendly and spectacular. But the manager acted immature, rude, and seemed extremely amateur in his job. I would have fired him if I had the power to do so.

4 years ago I was homeless, I use to come here every morning to buy coffee and make beats on the big coffee table. I had so many people come up to me saying, can I hear your music. or I love your lil keyboard lol. The star bucks employers were so nice, gave me free coffee, and told me to keep up the good work! That motivated me up to now that I am no longer homeless I live in Norman, OKC my beat sales and placements went up since then. Thanks, Starbucks for not kicking me out or hindering me to make money off my music I use your guys Wi-Fi and sold a lot of beats. but I made sure I bought coffee and donated lol Thank You All I will come back to visit. After being introduced to a new manager by watching her be rude to employees and me, I’ll save around $3,000 a year by avoiding this place. I have an espresso machine, I was being lazy because I appreciate the positive interaction on stressful mornings. I’m so glad that I was able to take a 20 minute moment to reflect, and really, not one employee looked happy or had a word to say so maybe this is the new model in leadership. Anyway, huge shout out to the entire staff aside from the presumed new manager who made this morning rough where nice once was. Thanks again for the time and circumstances to reflect on my poor spending habit- 10/10 not worth.

We stopped in traveling from Austin to Houston. The 2 star google review is accurate. Went to use the bathroom, said no I am ok. After ordering my latte & water I went to look at the cups. I guess they are kinda behind the counter. But anyone could walk up to look. YOUR employee told me you cant be back there. I was like I am sorry. I will hand you the cups. I understand that there are many homeless around the area. My husband & I did not look homeless. We were both treated like second class citizens. I actually did not purchase anything else as this situation was akward.

Worst I’ve ever seen this location! Opened one restroom door, no paper in dispenser but lots all over the floor, other restroom had paper but not much better. No one greeting customers upon entry, “barista” had to be asked for personal cup discount, and when I ordered tall asked if I needed room. The tall line is 1” from the top. Condiment bar was a zero! No natural sugar, no containers for vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon or nutmeg, about 10 stir sticks, no cream in container. Almost understandable if they were packed, but I only saw two people approach counter, the one in front of me asked about a product, they were out, she left. Suggest new management!! Yuck !

These people literally called the police on my boyfriend as he was going to the restroom just bc he was in there longer then ten minutes. They gave no warning. They gave the cop the key and guess what he's on the toilet pulling his pants up. There's poop in the toilet.... I can't believe they seriously jeopardized someone's vulnerability and privacy bc he was taking a long time. Some people have health issues and that was just outrageous. They assume bc we're homeless that we were up to something I assume? I mean why else would they legit do that after ten mins of someone using the restroom. You have been warned. Don't use the restroom for too long. They're crazy.

I love love this location., I have a very complicated drink order and I get it everyday and this location pretty much nails it every time .well maybe 95% of the time the other times that I had a problem they were more than happy to remake it for me!!! And I could be a lil picky but they never make rude remarks or give me a bad vibe when I have a problem.Nuttin but good energy! Which now days is hard to find . The staff is always so nice and very helpful . If I have some random question they will happily answer it to the best of the knowledge. Not just yes or no or “I don’t know” 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ for sure! Def. will recommend this Starbucks to anyone.

Beware of this location, i was just there and the cashier who happens to be black was ultra rude to me, got my orders wrong and left out pastries i had ordered. The place was empty on the inside, so there was no reason for this woman to be rude. The guy making the drinks was ultra nice, helpful and understanding, he basically helped me on my entire order. And was i rude or mean, no i was not. I was nice, calm and had a smile on my face but at the end i just wanted to cry and beat this woman senseless. This was my first time ordering at this location and it will be my last.

I stopped by Starbucks because it is a block from my college, and I wanted to study/drink tea. In the past, I have had a great experience and enjoyed the atmosphere of studying. That has changed since I was last here. Every electrical outlet in the dining area has been covered over (luckily, my laptop was at 40% charge). The floor was covered in empty cups, sugar packets, and liquids (no wet floor sign). A houseless man was asleep at a table. This location is no longer inviting for college students or the general populace.

got my coffee at 12:45:56 guessing reg 4 that is what the sticker says got a nitro 3 pumps classic drive thru i used a usaa debit card! have to I get this drink all the time and when i get it in the morning around 6:30 am the coffee is great when i got it today it was dissatisfying was not the same from the AM just looked like watered down coffee with cream on top could of got a better cup at the gas station with the same taste and cheaper price. yall let me down afternoon shift will stick with the morning crew. worst cup of coffee iv had at this location

The one star may be brutally honest on my part, but I have never had such bitter tasteless coffee as I have had on two occasions at this Starbucks location. If you are big on Starbucks, I’d suggest you go to the location in Alamo Quarry- its much better coffee and taste there. Also being at the corner of traffic and fast food joints is not a very appealing location either. It would make more sense to be closer to SAC- college students are coffee people! I might try to find a good local coffee shop but they’re few and far between in San Antonio.

I love the location on cypress and San Pedro especially when Liz is working she is very efficient and always gets my order correct she always remembers my name and is very friendly she is never in a bad mood and you can tell she loves herself she makes the store better and the reason I visit .the manager is also always on top of her stuff I love when she is there because everyone does there job correctly and doesn’t cut corners thank you Starbucks you make my mornings better ❤️ Cristina

Mobile ordered.....got there and it says drive thru only...line clear around building....called in and said unfortunately I can't pick it up at the door.... at speaker 3 cars back waiting.. unfortunately my hot coffee is ready, just sitting there getting cold.....yea!!! We all love cold coffee. The point of mobile order is to pick it up without waiting in the line...for sure you don't go ahead and make it if you can't get it till you go thru line...if you don't have mobile order you shouldn't allow it on your app...just sayin

This location deserves 10 Stars I absolutely love the workers here! the service here !!I cannot say enough good things about this location. I have gone out of my way for at least 30 minutes just to come to the specific location when you walk in they make you feel like you're welcome like you're home, like you're a part of them. This has to be my favorite place to go as far as customer service that beats restaurants bars grills etc.

This Starbucks is the worst I have ever been to....first of all paying customers don't think that will give you good service apparently you have to be walking homeless trash and then that's who they cater to....it seems the staff seems to forget those people don't pay your salary it's the paying customers.... All the staff is very rude and unprofessional especially the women....they allow all these nasty diseased vagabonds to run the the place.....so if you want to catch TB by all means....

I ASKED the cashier what she recommend that I wanted to try something different but I can't have anything with coconut, pineapple because I'm allergic to them....she suggested a drink several times...ummm HELLO I mentioned that I was allergic.... Although they were temporarily out of their Siren coffee, understandably so, with the recovery effort we are all partaking in, thanks to the COVID 19 pandemic. Starbucks never fails to make the effort to satisfy their customers. They were going to find out what they could about my request and to check back with them and also check their website for availability. I rarely leave a Starbucks unsatisfied. Thank you Starbucks baristas'. You are the Frontline of the Company.

This starbucks is right by downtown which does have a lot of people who are vagrants. I don't personally mind this but I know some people may chose not to come to this location for that reason. Why I think this is a five star location is for just how chill the barista is with the guys who come and ask for water. That itself makes me feel like this is a good location that is welcoming to all. Definitely coming to get my drinks here from now on.

Warning... If you're in a hurry choose a different location. 10 MIN per car and no mobile order pick ups inside. Everyone is super nice and sweet but lack urgency. Why is only one person making all the coffees and why tell me you're out of ingredients when I get to the window. Situate everything at the intercom BEFORE I have to wait another 10 min sitting at the front. I'm sorry but this is common sense.

My drink was poorly made, big chunk of chocolate on one side of the cup. I had asked for a white mocha cookie crumble frapp but my drink tasted like a chocolate milk with too much chocolate. And whoever was at drive-thru was rushing me to get my card and take my drink. Thought I would start coming to this location because it’s down the street from my college but probably won’t be back

Drive-thru is always slow and order is wrong about 50% of the time when I go in person to earn points for myself. And drinks and food items are always damaged and order is wrong 100% of the time when I order from this location through UberEats. I've learned to keep my expectations low from the Cypress / San Pedro location, even as someone who worked at this store once upon a time.

Do not see a point of ordering on the app for this location.. they only have the drive thru open so by the time you get your order its already been sitting bc you're having to wait behind everyone else who's ordering at that moment. Ordered and my order was ready at 8:38.. been in line for 10 mins so I'm sure the food is going to be cold and my drinks are going to be sweating.

I love the service and the speediness that my drink was made ! The only thing is the employees were talking smack about peppermint which was very unprofessional as I could hear all that they were saying. The girl apologized so all is good I would just recommend they learn to be aware of how loud they talk and be cautious of the things they say while customers are there.

Friendly staff, messed up our drinks but quickly fixed them. This location is usually packed during peak hours and parking can be a pain but if your in downtown this is one of the few with parking. Since it is near SAC there is a large crowd of college students and usually a nice atmosphere. You will often find questionable people around but they usually don't bug you.

The staff is great here, but the location isn't very comfortable. It is so cold that even with a jacket on sometimes I can't stop shaking. (I wait there to give a friend a ride.) And almost allthe tables are in groups of 4 seats even though the past few times I've been there it's been people alone or in pairs. It just made me feel bad to take up a table for only me.

I purchased my go-to unsweetened green tea at the Lackland AFB Starbucks inside the exchange, not until I was on the road did I take a drink. It was rancid! Taste was bad the smell was bad. Went to this Starbucks and the wonderful girl Abby even said the color and smell were both bad.. like it was old. She replaced it at no charge. Love you Abby and thank you!

Of course starbucks is awesome but here's why my experience was stellar. The gals working were supercheerful and then when ordering my hot chocolate she made some suggestions that were phenomenal. I ended up with a caramel swirl hot chocolate with whip cream and caramel drizzle on top. As always the atmosphere was laid back and cozy with my cup of happiness.

There was a mistake with a drink and Abby and josh fixed it with no problem and still gave good customer service, never gave any attitude or anything, was very respectful, and Abby even poured more then she was suppose to and put it in a big cup to make sure the drink was made right! Very laid back staff and friendly too. It being in the area it is, they do keep it clean and safe. It is usually full since it's right near the San Antonio city college, there's a lots of students studying. I've need coming to this location how for three years and can't say anything bad or negative but some of the homeless try to make their way in.

Hung out here with a friend on a Saturday night. This location apparently closes down at 9pm even on Saturdays! My friend told me it's because the neighborhood is not so safe though we didn't have any issues. Staff was friendly and service was fast. This Starbucks was basically dead even at 7:30pm, barely anyone inside and no one in the drive thru.

Usually quick to make drinks. Friendly service but not outstanding. One or two employees smile. I give it a 2 star because one day they were short handed and I ordered an iced CM but received one that was mostly milk. I've worked in that kind of situation before and I know how overwhelming it can be but you can't sacrfice quality for any reason.

This is my neighborhood Starbucks. I usually get everything to go from here. I'm not sure if their dining area is open yet. The baristas are friendly here, the drinks ad food are always good. It is on a rough side of Sanpedro ,but nonetheless still a great place.

My boss bought me a cup of coffee at this place and it was quite delicious I don't know how to order at Starbucks until I had what he was having a double shot mocha hito latte something like that. I liked it. The staff was very friendly to and quick to have our order to us. Thank you Starbucks keep up the great work. And thanks boss.

We were one among multiple cars that were there a full 30 mins before closing time waiting to be attended because employees were still in there. They closed and left without ever saying anything to us and before closing time. The least they could have done was to tell us they were leaving before closing time through the speaker.

I visit this Starbucks location at least 4 times a week. About 1 out of 4 times they get my drink wrong. They lack consistency in making drinks. If there was another Starbucks nearby , I would change locations, but unfortunately, there is not.

I was uncontrollable with the whole experience. I wasn't asked for my name. Shortly I approached the counter and asked if the good sitting on the counter my order. She didn't know and hand to asked. I had to ask for a bag. The employee was not courteous at all. Didn't even put my food in the bag. Bad service..

I came here to do work and look at the photos, they closed all the plus so customers can’t charge their devices. This places also had homeless people sleeping and taking up space. Finally my drink which was suppose to be a venti was only 70% full. Wow $8 for a drink and by far the worst Starbucks in town.

“Shift Manager” Payton told me not to come back to the store. Apparently she didn’t like me questioning at 6:20am why the doors were locked and I was forced to pick up my online order in the drive thru that was full. Made me 15 min late to work. GREAT SERVICE! this isn’t the first time either.

The only Starbucks I ever want to go to. Customer service is awesome at this location. Oscar who works drive thru (sometimes, should be more!) is super friendly and knowledgeable, he always engages in conversation while you wait for your order. I keep coming back daily for my coffee fix!

Only 4 stars because picking up orders placed on the app is a fiasco. At most stores I go to you can pick up your order without waiting in the drive through line. Not here, where you order in app and then wait 15 minutes in line behind people who don't even know what they want to order.

My favorite Starbucks to stop by as I'm going to work! Everyone is very nice even at 6am. When I've gone during lunch, they make sure I'm in and out. Most of the time there are homeless people who sit outside or sit inside, but I've personally never run into any issues with them.

The baristas are both friendly and helpful. The staff here pays attention, always willing to accommodate every detail of your order. They even replaced my friends coffee for free when he spilled it as we were pulling out of the parking lot. All in all, this is a great location.

This is my usual place to stop and get coffee, service is great, gets busy during peak times. Parking is horrible during peak times and you will have vagrants hanging out in parking lot. Property could use some maintenance. Trash is drive thru and parking lot.

The bad thing about this star bucks the homeless come sit outside and smoke even tho there is a sign posted no smoking prohibition. Even show the guy the sign and he still won't put the cigarette. Unless you want to drink with the homeless don't go

A Starbucks is usually just a Starbucks, but the staff here truly makes a huge positive difference. Very quickly they recognized us everyday, and remembered our order. Really exceptional.

The staff here is superub. They always are friendly and are usually quick in service times. Lots of different types of people visit this location. Table space can fill up quickly in the evenings. Enjoy sitting on the outside patio.

Impressed with customer service, especially since we walked in about five minutes until closing. The only thing to note is the Starbucks App and Google have the closing time listed as 10PM, instead of the correct time of 9:30PM.

Just went through the drive-thru and they managed to mess up a simple coffee and a hot chocolate.. I tried to call the store to get it fixed and of course no one answered.. Everyone was nice but they just can't get it together.

I normally love my Starbucks but they really got it wrong today. Asked for extra cream and it came looking dark brown. Asked for more cream and what they gave me had hardly any sweetener. Super let down today.

A good place for people in the neighborhood. Students at SAC can come here and hold study groups. Be prepared to buy something though if you stay long: restrooms are for customers only with few exceptions.

My tall white coffee mocha was not fill to the top and had a burnt taste to it. My lemon loaf was bad too. Had to wait for it too longer than normal. Should of gone to a different location. Yuck.
