I placed an order for my wedding band on March 30th, and was told it would take 6-8 weeks to come in. I paid in full at the time of the order. When my wedding came 10 weeks later it had still not arrived. I was understanding given the shipping and supply chain issues happening in most industries right now. When it did arrive (about 12 weeks after I placed the order) I went to pick it up and was told that there would be another $67 charge for the ring due to the increased price in gold. I don’t know how the current price of gold is relevant considering I ordered and paid for the ring 12 weeks ago. If they ordered the ring 12 weeks ago when they told me they did, why am I paying today’s gold price? Having been a regular customer for years, I am disappointed to be leaving this review but after this experience can not in good conscience recommend anyone placing a special order through Sterling and will no longer be shopping there myself.

I have been a loyal customer here and have purchased several sold gold pieces from them. Almost everything that I have got from here has broken within a few months of the purchase date. The jewelry from here is beautiful but the quality of it is absolutely terrible. A ring a got a few months back broke off my finger while I was driving. I went to the store to get it fixed and they said I had to pay $40 because it is “regular wear and tear”. I take extremely good care of all my jewelry and if can’t withhold me driving them clearly it is a quality issue. When I went to the store the owner was there and I was speaking to her. I have never felt so disrespected in my life. In the past my interactions have not been the greatest with her and I believe it is because I’m 18. Safe to say that this store has lost a very loyal customer who has spent 100’s of dollars here due to the awful customer service.

Hit or miss, but my miss left a big impact on how I see this store now. When I first looked around to browse, the clerk engaged with me, and was absolutely wonderful. She helped me look for a potential gift for sentimental reason and she was able to guide me. However, that image shattered once I actually made a purchase from there. Another clerk barely greeted me nor she acknowledged me, making me feel unwelcome. When she packaged it, I do admit she did an adequate job but I've told her it was a birthday gift and didn't offer me gift wrapping. She was cold to me throughout our entire interaction. She shot me a dirty look when I requested gift wrapping. However, she was very nice to her coworker while she treated me disrespectfully. I will give another chance to this shop only for the first lady I've interacted with. Otherwise very disappointing.

I was gifted a gold bracelet which broke only a few months after recieving and is no longer wearable. I went into the store to discuss repair, as this was not a customer error but a quality issue. However, I unfortunately found that this business does not stand behind their jewlery as I was told that the bracelet was not repairable and that they would not do an exchange or help rectify this situation in any way. The employees insisted that this bracelet was not repairable, however when I went to another professional jewler they said this was not true and it could be fixed, Sterling just did not want to do it themselves. Save your money and invest in jewlery elsewhere. Would not recommend.

i bought my husbands wedding band here 20 years ago and wished i'd got the same for me. The designs are so clean and wonderful quality. I often stop in when i can. Today, still without a ring that has worked for me even when i arranged custom makes, and da day before our anniversary they had the same ring in my size. As well as a wonderful triple ring set. The staff are so lovely and what i think is the best is they are really interested in finding what is your style, what you want. not like some places that will talk you into something you'll realize later you don't really want. I'm happy to write for this store and their staff- 10 stars

J’ai acheté en août dernier une chaîne de cheville en or. L’attache de la chaîne a brisé le lendemain. Je suis retournée à la boutique, on considérait que j’avais du faire quelque chose pour la briser, il pouvait la réparer à mes frais. J’ai fait réparer l’attache à mon retour à Montréal. J’ai ressorti la chaîne la semaine dernière avec le retour du beau temps. Je l’ai porté une seule journée. L’attache a brisé à nouveau et cette fois ci je n’ai pas retrouvé l’attache. Je crois que cette chaîne a vraiment un problème de solidité. Elle devrait être fabriquer assez solide pour être porter à la cheville.

Sterling is an amazing jewellery shop in Kingston. I will travel into Kingston just to come back to this shop. They have the most unique and beautiful pieces, that are of excellent quality and value. The staff are amazing - they don't push you to buy anything, they help you purchase what YOU want, and they don't rush you in looking around or making decisions. They even brought things out from the back for me and I was able to choose the perfect piece that I was looking for. Highly recommend!! I will be a lifelong customer of theirs!

Sterling never ceases to amaze me, from their tasteful collection of jewelry to their amazing customer service, I thoroughly recommend. I bought a beautiful gold chain from them which has now become a statement piece. The quality of this jewelry truly withstands the fact that it never leaves by body. The employees were amazing in their patience and helpfulness as I went back and forth around the store trying to make a final decision. Sterling exceeds all my expectations!

Purchased expensive sleeper earrings that I was told were high quality and I would have no issues with. A few months later they broke while in my ears and I had to pull the clasp piece of the earring out of my ear. The employee working when I went to inquire about an exchange was incredibly rude and suggested I “just buy another pair”. I definitely will not be shopping here again, disappointing customer service.

Stopped in and bought a beautiful gold clover pendant. Chris was really helpful and informative about the different jewelry options and was helpful when it came to finding a piece that met my price point. The variety of different jewelry options at this store is a great reason why it's worth visiting in person. I will definitely be back to buy more. A beautiful little gem you must visit! ✨️

The best selection, the best prices, and the most helpful and friendliest staff around. I've been frequenting this store for 7 years and plan to come back even after I move away from Kingston! I don't even bother with other jewelry stores anymore because they just can't compare.

We have been to this very small shop occasionally over the past few years and found a great selection of silver jewelry at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and helpful. We've bought several articles here and would recommend it to anyone.

Love this store, what a Gem! She has an amazing variety, I have taken many friends in that also loved her selection and service. Items that range from $20-$300 dollars. Something for everyone. One of the best stores I have found in years.

My wife bought a necklace/pendant from Sterling and it broke within a week. After returning it and waiting a week to be repaired, she was charged $18 for the fix. See other comments on quality. Go elsewhere.
