Very bad experience with this dealership. Sold a vehicle to me in a good condition. When collected the vehicle on the drive home, the vehicle's problems started showing up. Some problems was so bad, that I questioned the vehicle's roadworthy. Got it tested and the vehicle was not roadworthy! Speaking to the dealership, they said I bought the vehicle ''voetstoots'' and it was never sold in a good condition. The vehicle was financed, so could not have been voetstoots. Got the foto's from the sales floor stating vehicle is in a good condition as proof. After the deal was cancelled, they put this vehicle back on the sales floor, still in a ''good'' condition, but the car is not even roadworthy! Vehicle was also sold with a Motorite Warranty, when I spoke to them about the issues found, they said they would not pay for repairs because of the condition of the vehicle. So think twice befory buying from them and the warranty they sell is not worth the paper it's printed on!

Buying a second hand car comes with its associated risk. I’ve been badly burnt in the past through other dealers so this time I decided to do my research. I had heard good things about Steven Johnson Cars and I decided to buy a second hand 2009 BMW 120i auto. I dealt with TK who was absolutely brilliant. You’ve got 30 days to highlight any issues and they fixed them without hesitation. You’ve got the option of taking our extended warranties. We had issues post the 30 days and TK and the team stepped up and helped us out to ensure the car was in perfect working order. Very fair in the way the do business and I’ll be a customer for life given my recent experience. When you visit them be sure to ask for TK.

I've had 2 cars from Steven Johnson Cars. Their after Sales is wonderful. Many businesses can learn a thing or two from these guys. I would go back to Steven Johnson Cars for my next car, without hesitation, even though there were some issues with the cars. They were very happy to help everytime I found an issue until I was happy, and even went as far as helping with a loan car while they had my car looked at and repaired. They helped me even though I live in Hermanus. We're the car issues frustrating? Heck yeah! But they dealt with the issues amazingly! Kudos to Deirdre, Jacques and Steve! I recommend Steven Johnson Cars especially on their after sales.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to buy from this company, we bought a car from them and our experience wasn’t good. 1. The salesman Jacques made a couple of promise of this we will receive and very close to a year later and it hasn’t been Kept 2. We struggled to get them to register the car, 3. We struggle to get them to refund the roadworthy which we paid them to do and had to do it ourselves again. 4. The aftersales lady is really slow and after spending, a good amount of cash with them they service we experience is bad 5. Quick to sale but terrible at keeping there promises 6. We still haven’t receive or got our problems solved! Rather go somewhere else

My purchasing experience has been great all round with this company. Dealt with a Salesman called George. What a friendly guy! Great service he rendered and excellent after sales support. He updated me daily during the purchase process as well as the after sales support when I picked up some minor issues with the vehicle. I had the car the weekend and when I contacted George he had no worries about me bringing the vehicle back so they could fix these issues. All minor issues I mentioned was resolved, you don't get that level of service nowadays. Superior after sales support!! Will definitely be purchasing my next vehicle here again. Thanks George!!!

I had such a great and efficient experience at Steven and Johnson. Took me one day to finalize everything. The finance was done by Mr Dawald and he really was helpful from explaining everything applicable and advice on the road. I bought a golf 7 gti and Mr Germaine the agent provided exceptional services too. Post sale and leading up to it. The response time between myself and him is instantaneous. I called Stephen and told him my price range and what I was looking for. He passed the info onto one of his Sales executives. Who gave me a call straight away. And within a week they had the perfect car for me. There were one or two niggly little issues. But they sorted them out with no complaints. And Germain the sales executive kept me up to date the whole time and was honest about time frames as he wanted things done right and not rushed. Definitely the best place to buy a car.

What amazing service received from George, we bought a trade-in car for my son (as he recently passed his license ), George was so helpful right through the process. We had a bit of a hiccup with the payment, and we waited very long just to have 1 go ahead answer from the owner to proceed, but was grateful it took place the same day. George then saved me the trouble of driving all the way back for the paperwork again and met me closer to home. Really appreciate it.

Terrible service or rather lack of service. I wanted to purchase a beautiful car there and negotiated a price but as soon I mentioned I wanted a dekra test for which I will pay fully, the sales lady cayla just made excuses and false promises and never heard from them again. I can only assume there is something sinister about this deal and sometimes you just got to walk away from such dealings.

Such a brilliant experience with Germaine and the rest of the team at SJ cars from beginning to end. 2 months after purchasing my VW Tiguan, there were a few electrical issues and the team did not hesitate to assist me, providing transport to & from home and sorting the problem out in 1 day - Something very rare for a 2nd hand dealer! Best experience ever :-) Not only did they go above and beyond to help me secure the purchase while I was still in Scotland, but the after-sales experience was phenomenal. Hmmmm.... no feedback from a very enthusiastic salesman who promised to call me back "soon" when I made an enquiry on a specific (popular) model of vehicle. I was a serious buyer, but the sales guy obviously didn't take me seriously. Pity about the poor service coming from a long established and well known dealer like Steven Johnson Cars.

George Wilson is absoluut pleasure to deal with,however was the car not properly cleaned,and was full of polish residue.There was tyre noise appearing audible after taking car in possession,However George sorted this out,keeping me informed at all times. Very good service they were quick and even though we didn't end up selling our car their they were very organised and knew what they were doing. They have a variety of quality second hand cars and also do buy cars for cash. They also had a couple of motorbikes and the staff were well informed about all the vehicles.
