Proof people care more about feelings than facts... they care more about being in a trendy room than actual good coffee... I've had this same latte before, it's as generic as they come. Tastes like sweet milk. None of their flavors are in house. They don't ask what milk type etc. The offer a free cup to get those positive "Vibes" flowing in an effort for you to leave a great review.... and to weak and hyper emotional people, it works. Sad. The pricing is also much higher than any other coffee shop I've ever been to, by a long shot. THE OWNERS ARE LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK. Pay attention to the other reviewers choice of vocabulary. They talk about "hidden" (the feel cool), they say things like "cool" or even "beatiful". They don't talk about the coffee. I wish I had no4iced this pattern prior to coming. First and last visit. You end up paying for all the "free" cups they give it out in the prices of their drinks and goods etc. The Chai latte was $8 for 16oz. The worst part is it isn't even craft, it tastes like milk with some boxes Chai flavor. Go get a Chai from hundreds of other local coffee shops and taste craft, house made vs this generic, overpriced nonsense. Seriously, you're better of going to Starbucks for something quick than this. Unless it's not for coffee and it's only for instagram. Food, generic, completely generic. Service, good. Not great, but good. The one girl spilled hot water all over and she was clearly upset and then got so put off that I asked for a fork that they didn't give me to eat the cinnamon roll. (Cinnimon roll is no ponger warm and fresh btw, it's just in a box and is WAY too sweet, but the same people I described above love that so it makes sense) Atmosphere. Generic trendy, throw some woods and a steam punk vibe and there you have it. Lastly,I also read a review talking about having to clean up yourself. You absolutely are, the crew makes that clear. The owner replied to this particular review and said that there was miscommunication and that guests are not meant to clean up after themselves. This is a blatant lie as I over heard it multiple times to take your dishes to a specific area. Sorry but when you're actions don't match your words,... no credibility. Pass on this place, you will be better off than if you came here and dropped all that money on very mid tier, mediocre coffee and drinks.

TL;DR - Storyville is a premiere coffee experience; in the town known for coffee you'll be hard pressed to find better quality. My first impression of Storyville was somewhat magical. This location feels a bit hidden, if you didn't know what to look for you'd likely miss it. So right from the get go there was a sense of exclusivity and quality. The hip vibe of the shop is uncanny: a modern warehouse style with warm and intentional lighting, equipped with plenty of seating and a fireplace. Dark steel and wood, it all just feels entirely cozy. The place is usually teeming with happy travelers, and an air of excitement. One of my favorite spots to post up and work for a few hours! The service is fantastic, as well. The baristas are warm and welcoming, and will even come over and check on you / bring you water periodically if you're there for a while. Now for the most important part: the coffee and food. This spot is definitely aimed at the 3rd wave coffee shop surfer, looking for a specialty roast. I'd say it's a bit more on the mellow and smooth side of the spectrum, rather than bitter and bitey. Great flavor, though, rich and bodied, never overpowered by the milk. And food wise, I just have to say this... Without exaggeration, they have the best cinnamon rolls I've had in my life. Make sure to get it warmed! For those who are used to a daily black cup of coffee, this place might not be your jam. But if you're looking for a cozy spot with a premiere 3rd wave coffee experience, Storyville is a must.

This is not a cheap cup of coffee...in fact, this mocha with house made coconut cashew mylk is one of the most expensive drinks on their menu at more than $13. But as of the time of this review, if you bought a bag of one of their beans, then you got the drink for free, and for $18, that was just fine with me. But your mileage will vary. That said, the mocha was lovely. Not sweet. Great flavor. Such a smooth texture with the mylk. Beautiful presentation. I love my quality mochas and am more than willing to pay for it, and this didn't disappoint. I mostly love the atmosphere here. It's lovely to sit at the windows and look out over the market as it wakes up. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We got here when it was still early and left right as the morning rush came through, so the atmosphere may depend on how crowded it is, but I loved the decor and the way the seating area is arranged. Also, don't get too confused and pay attention to the fact this is on the upper floor of the building. Thus the lovely view.

We went to Storyville Coffee the day before Christmas. It was so chill, we got to relax by the fireplace and of course there was a lot less people in the store than regular weekends. We got to relax and enjoy our drinks. They were giving out free mugs as well during our visit. I love the view from this store as well as the vibe. I would definitely visit this place again!

TLDR: expensive coffee but amazing atmosphere and free cups if you scan the QR code! I noticed that a latte is over $8.00 and I’ve never paid that much for one before… however there are ways around it! I got a bag of beans for a more normal price of $18 and it came with a free coffee drink, even a latte! On top of that, I scanned the QR code that’s everywhere and got a free mug!! On top of that, the atmosphere is amazing! The couches are comfortable, the WiFi is strong and there’s ton of seating. Also the service is so friendly!! Have been here twice and will continue to come

Make sure you don’t miss this beautiful hidden coffee place in the top floor of the building opposite to pike place. Cozy and elegant interior designs along with nice view on the market and the waterfront. We waited in line 10-15 minutes before ordering and setting down. We had Cortado, almond croissant and espresso..their coffee is excellent and rich and the croissant is so good (both recommended). They gives free coffee cups/mugs for 1st time visitors. Employees are friendly and professional. I will be studying there every day if i lived in downtown Seattle. Highly Recommended!

Wow! What an incredible coffee spot. If you don’t mind a wait it’s well worth it for very rich flavorful coffee. You can even sign up for a free mug for your first visit when you wait in line. They also do a deal where if you buy a bag of roasted beans you get a free drink of choice. I had an iced cold brew and it was delicious. Such a cool seating area as well with a cool view of the market and water. We didn’t try the food but instead brought some crumpets up with us from downstairs which the staff was ok with us having.

a fantastic experience and highly recommended. picked up a total of 5 coffees with friends and they were out within 2-3 minutes somehow. super efficient with friendly service, so the outstanding staff make this place special. the view out the windows, furniture, and cozy lighting/ambience create a beautiful atmosphere, but seating might be tougher to find on a weekend. french press coffee was pleasantly smooth and easy to drink/slightly less strong than expected. so glad a friend showed me what was on top of the stairs i’d cluelessly walked past for years, and will make sure to return when i find myself in seattle.

An absolute gem! Such cute decor and amazingly happy and polite staff. The free gifts are a great touch too! Delicious chocolate cake, good coffee, and amazing cinnamon rolls. The texture of the cake and cinnamon rolls are on point! The croissant is flaky and crispy. The chocolate cake is so moist and great flavor not being too sweet, but showing off the dark chocolate. I got a free mug as well.

Storyville is GORGEOUS! We ordered a goat cheese pesto breakfast sandwich and a chocolate croissant and both were to die for. The mochas are delicious too. The atmosphere in this cafe is so cozy and makes you want to stay for hours! All the servers were so lovely, and the location is incredible- right in the middle of Pike Place market.

Amazing atmosphere, although we came at a busy time, so it was hard to find seats. It was a very quick service, but you are expected to clean up yourself. The prices are very expensive for mid-tier coffee. They do offer a free mug for first-time customers, but I wouldn't call it free considering the price I paid for their latte. I honestly haven't even used the mug since I got it.

Great coffee and pastries in an intimate space with an overlook on the cobblestone market street. The warm frosted cinnamon roll was flaky and delicious, and the cortado was well-made and well-presented. Definitely worth taking the time to hang out and collect yourself after the bustle of the rest of the market.

Super cute, feels like a hidden gem. We got a few bags of coffee for family and got free coffees because of that. The price for a cup is wickedly high, so it was nice to try some really tasty coffee. Their cold brew, salted caramel syrup, yum! Staff super friendly.

A little hard to find, but I’m glad I did. Pretty basic menu though. I didn’t see fall specialty drinks. I had an excellent cappuccino and my daughter loved her breakfast sandwich. It was our first time in Seattle and I signed up for emails, as did my daughter and we received a free mug each. Really nice, quiet, cozy coffee shop located on the 2nd floor I think!

By far the best coffee I've ever head. I visited Seattle for the first time last week and this was the best coffee spot without a doubt. Definitely wish I'd been able to go a second time! Absolutely great place to sit and enjoy a coffee and pastry, even got a free mug to bring home to Dallas. Absolutely worth giving a try! More

Cool spot! Found Storyville from Yelp. We just got a quick espresso. Staff was extremely friendly. They knew we hadn't been before so right off the bat they offered a free mug for stopping by and buying a drink. Cool vibes inside. It is a bit harder to find. You have to go upstairs. Street parking only.

Friendly staff, delicious coffee , cozy atmosphere. We scanned the QR code and got a free mug that I love and use at home. The sea salt caramel cookie was delicious. I had an espresso and my husband and iced coffee. Both were good and hit the spot.

The coffee here is simply spectacular, but on the pricier side. Yet the cappuccinos are totally worth it, considering the ambience and the service. It's got a very rustic vibe, perfect for the dark gray Seattle days, with the fireplace which makes it feel warm and comfy.
