I was searching for someone in Nashville who specialized in curly hair as I wanted to add some highlights to my hair before my wedding. I thought I found the perfect spot, everyone was super kind and the stylist I booked with told me she was currently in an elite color specialization class that only a few people in the US are certified in. I showed her a photo of my own hair in the past and the ashy blonde it lifted to. I thought we were on the same page considering it was a photo of my own hair and not an unrealistic feat. Unfortunately, my worst nightmare came true, my hair was a disaster less than two weeks away from my wedding. When she was done highlighting my hair it was a mix of red, orange, brown, yellow and black. I looked like a tree in the middle of fall. We had a second appointment prescheduled in case I didn't like the color (that should have been an indication that this was a theme with this stylist). I had never had to preschedule a second appointment during my first in case I didn't like the color. I foolishly went to the second appointment hoping we could tone the colors back down to either my natural color or the original highlights I wanted. She showed me a few color swatches and we agreed on a chocolate brown. It seemed like my best option at that point. When she was done my hair was jet black. I had a literal black hairline drawn around my forehead. It looked like I went to a barber for a lineup and not someone who apparently specialized in color. I sat in the chair trying not cry, paid for the service and left. After I went home I reached out to another stylist who advised me on how to get the jet black out of my hair before it completely set. I reached out to the original stylist to try and resolve the issue, she told me she would have a manager reach out. A day later I get a call from a woman claiming to be a salon manager. The call did not come from the salon and all I could hear were children screaming in the background. She informed me that she salon does not provide refunds and poor quality work is not their issue. She also proceeded to blame me for paying for the second service if I wasn't happy with the first yet kept telling me to go back a third time to hopefully remedy the issue? I was told that owner would not issue someone a refund even though the proper service was not performed and I should have just not paid the first time. Had I known that was an option. to just not pay, I definitely would not have. I told them I had another appointment booked with another salon to try and save my hair before such an important day for me and they said since I hadn't actually had my hair fixed yet it probably wasn't that bad. I've now spent close to $1,000 (including their horrible services) having my hair fixed. I am so disappointed in my experience but more disappointed in the uncaring and unprofessional manor my situation was handled. I would 1000% advise against this salon. I plan on opening a dispute with my credit card since "it's not their problem",

I have thought long and hard about leaving this review. It has been several months since my experience. I made an appointment for a consultation on a black to purple ombre color. The stylist said no problem. We would do a bayalage to the lower half of my hair and it would be amazing. I made my appointment and showed up only to be told it would take too long and I would need to reschedule. It was not an optimal situation for me because I have a daughter in competitive cheer and we were deep into competition season. I was leaving for an out of town competition in a few days but I made it work. When I returned to finally have my hair colored, I noticed that my colorist was asking a lot of questions from the, I guess, more seasoned stylists. I was told that we needed to do a "Malibu rinse" to prepare my hair. It did absolutely nothing. She then decided to attempt to bleach a test area and my reddish hair turned green. At that point, she did the black on top and attempted purple closer to the ends. It was nowhere near what I asked for and was told would be "no problem". I paid $400 for not even in the ballpark of what I paid for. I am not a wealthy person and if I had done that to someone, there is no way I could have taken that much money from them. I will probably never go to a salon for color ever again. They claimed they didn't want to damage my hair but if I had been concerned about that, I never would have booked the appointment. My hair has always been extremely healthy and a little bleach would not have been a problem for me. I should have gotten what I asked for for that amount of money.

I came in yesterday for an all over color. I was satisfied with how my hair looked when I left. I left out one star due to the fact when the two stylists working on my hair kept saying they didn’t think she had enough dye to finish, or that she swore she made the right amount but she was short. she said something like she is scraping the living hell out of this bowl, and then she saw the other stylist still had a big chunk she said I think we need to mix more you still have a lot of hair there, and the 2nd stylist had a look on her face like it wasn’t going to be enough dye/look if concern and asked the 1st stylist if she should make more dye, but still didn’t make more just kept scraping a seemingly empty bowl. When she was about done there was a dry piece she said she was just going to mush into the other pieces so the dye will still get on it. I was over anxious at that point thinking it would be blotchy bc they didn’t mix a new bowl. I would rather pay for another bowl then my whole head not be completely saturated. My hair didn’t come out uneven, but that wasn’t the point. I just wish she wouldn’t have said in front of me she didn’t have enough dye and then not mix more, bc then I was automatically concerned about the results, where as before that I was very confident that I was going to be happy with the results.

Tyler is amazing! Best haircut I’ve ever received! I’m a complete newbie to salons and after showing a few photos and explaining my ideas as arbitrarily as I’m sure I was, he helped bring my thoughts to the realm of reality, gave suggestions to help achieve these results, then went to work. He really took his time and the end results have me blown away! He answered every question I had about hair care routines for my specific hair that I never would have known otherwise! I ended up purchasing a scalp scrub per his recommendation, too, and I can’t wait to try it out to achieve a healthier head with less breakouts on the hair line. Tyler’s a true professional and artist; I can’t stop taking photos— I feel like I need to go to the beach now! I highly recommend Style House to anyone who might be new to the salon scene, or even anyone who wants to ensure an amazing haircut at an unbeatable price; I was shocked at the cost compared to the time and results. Best hair experience ever!!

I highly recommend this salon. My stylist was Sam and she went above and beyond for me. Being a couple months postpartum my hair didn’t take the dye correctly because of all the hormones. I was the last appointment of the day so Sam offered to come in two hours before the salon even opened the next morning so I could come back in and get my hair redone in a way that would work with my postpartum hair. She did all of this at no extra charge because she wanted to make sure that I left with hair I was happy with. I know a million salons who would have said that since it wasn’t their error but my hairs issue they wouldn’t do anything to fix it without me paying for a whole new appointment, but Style House bent over backwards to make sure I left with gorgeous hair that I loved. You'll never be gaslit to leave with hair you aren’t in love with here. I will be going back here for sure!

I visited style house at their prior location but haven’t had a chance to visit the new space. Everyone was professional and welcoming. The salon was meticulously clean and I was impressed by the organization of their product and color. My stylist evaluated my hair and after consulting about what I was looking for in a hairstyle went straight to work. She noticed my scalp was having some issues, so recommended some products she used during the wash and conditioning. My haircut was fast and efficient and just what I wanted! The whole group seemed to work as a team and to enjoy each other and their work. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a haircut. I didn’t get any coloring done, but saw some others getting great results and being thrilled with their outcomes. I would definitely come back and try the coloring services here!

Overall, I recommend Style House. The space is well-designed, clean, and it seems like the salon promotes price transparency. Stylists are friendly and ensure you know ahead of time what you’ll be expected to pay. In particular, I’ve had services with Mimi and Mallorie. I got a Cezanne smoothing treatment with Mimi (highly recommend anyone research and consider this), and she was fantastic. I’ve seen Mallorie for cuts and color and have left the salon so happy with my hair each time. She’s very personable and attentive, and I appreciated her ability to help me make an informed decision about what worked for my hair type and maintenance preferences. I actually had a stranger stop me in public and tell me that my hair was “the perfect blonde.” All thanks to Mallorie!

I researched to find the best salon in town after hair dresser quit for a career change. I chose Style House and Krista with the information available. I have had horrible experiences with hair stylists in the past so, I am always anxious and concerned. The salon is modern and beautiful. Krista was amazing. She commands the scissors like a sculptor with refined subtle clips that left my hair with shape, movement, feeling light yet as if it weren’t cut. She is thoughtful, listens carefully and delivers exactly what she promised. She takes the time to explain everything in detail. Today more than ever, I seek to find true experts that do not blame the pandemic for their mistakes. I found an expert today in Krista!

Excellent customer service! This is a friendly team of professionals, from the person answering the phone and managing appointments to the top tier stylist. I called for a last minute cut and color, before a trip out of state the next day. My stylist Krista does excellent color work, and while she didn't have time to color my hair, this time, another stylist Holly, jumped in to help out and provided the color service and then Krista cut and styled my hair. I was out the door, with great looking hair, ready to leave for my trip, 2 hours later. They understand my need to stay at a certain price point, and don't try talk me in to things I can't afford. Also on staff, Britt is great for waxing and facials.

I love this salon! Everyone who works here that I’ve come across has been nothing but kind, warm and personable! From the way they answer their phone to take your appointment (yes that is very important!), to the way you are greeted when you walk in the door, it’s always been a positive and professional experience. My stylist is Holly J and she is the best! She’s incredibly talented, will take the time to see your “hair vision” talk to you about what you want without a rush, and even get excited with you about what you are looking to do with your hair, I love that. She’s passionate about what she does and will make you feel like a friend from the moment you meet her, can’t ask for more than that!

Mimi is a skilled and attentive hairstylist who is sensitive to her clients' needs and limitations. This is a great quality to have as a hairdresser because it shows that she values her clients' satisfaction and is willing to work with them to achieve their desired look. In general, a good haircut should not only look great, but also be tailored to the client's hair type, face shape, and lifestyle. It's important for a hairstylist to listen to their clients' concerns and preferences, and provide expert advice based on their professional knowledge and experience. If Mimi was able to do all of these things, I left feeling satisfied and confident with my new haircut.

I live over an hour away and had been trying to go blonde for years and had NO LUCK with previous stylists in my hometown. Erica did it with ease! I’d drive 10hrs just to get my hair done with her. She is like magic! I also get extensions done and have loved it. If you are naturally dark struggling to get blonde I highly recommend this angel of a human. This is hands down THE BEST beauty salon in Nashville and surrounding areas, probably the whole TN. The level of experience and professionalism is unmatched. Holly O. and Wade made me feel like a million bucks with the highest quality hair extensions, and now Samara, who did wonders with my teenage daughter's unruly curls and transformed them into celebrity locks - these guys at Style House are amazing!! I recently moved to Nashville, leaving behind my hair stylist of 7 years. So I was nervous of working with another stylist but Sam was wonderful! She listened to what I wanted and also made suggestions. She was able to match my base color and gave me the cutest balayage face framing highlights! The blowout and cut were also perfect! I am so glad I found my new stylist and look forward to the next appointment!

Erica is amazing! I drive over an hour to get my haircut by her and I will NEVER go anywhere else again! I cheated on her once after I moved and cried when I received the worst haircut ever! I will NEVER make that mistake again! What I love most about Erica is she is always willing to help other stylists even tho it may delay my appt. Now that’s a humble stylist right there! I have been cutting my own hair for so long and was so nervous to let someone else near my head with scissors. Holly was amazingly patient with me and took the time to explain what she was doing. She gave me exactly what I asked for and my hair looks so healthy! I will absolutely be returning as she has my complete trust.

Sam is the extensions fairy god mother from heaven. LITERALLY a miracle worker. I have done two sets of K tip extensions with her and she does a fantastic job. My extensions are comfortable and last so long! When I remove them between sets my hair is left shiny and soft with absolutely no damage or thinning.

I'm pretty sure this is the best haircut I've ever had...and on the first visit! Samara is AMAZING. She really knows what she's doing and listens to what you want.
