I am local in New Orleans, I stopped by this location after the Essence Festival empoweru seminars to get something quick to eat. I ordered a turkey sandwich with vegetables. After I purchased my food and sat down inside the store to eat it, I took my first bite of which seemed to be a normal subway sandwich. When I went to bite into my sandwich for the 2nd time there was a huge dead fly in my sandwich (on one the banana peppers). I immediately got up and ask for a refund, I was sick to my stomach. When I asked for a refund the manager never apologized, she gave me money and proceeded to talk about me to her employees. One male worker said I continued to eat the sandwich with the fly on there so it couldn't be a fly. When I called the store to speak to the manager she said "the way you look, you look like you put the fly on the sandwich". I WAS APPALLED!!!!!!!! They continued to server more peppers out of the container the fly was swimming around in. Totally unacceptable! I couldn't believe that a manager, (Kay) would respond and say the things that she said. I've called subway corporate office and I am waiting for a call back since Monday, it is now Friday. I am now contacting the health department of Louisiana.

Worst subway ever. Arrived at 8 pm with 5 people in front of me. Only had 1staff member working and it took her 27 minutes to make 5 subs. Yep, that’s right, 27 minutes! There was another staff member flitting in and out, but it wasnt to help, only to distract the most inept lady I’ve seen make sandwiches. How hard is it to make a damn sandwich? Only stayed to order as my 8 yr old was hungry after the 5 hour drive from Houston. Was told ‘no meatballs’. Okay, that sucks but I’ll order chicken with cheese. I ask for it toasted. Was told No! We turn off the oven/toaster at 8.30pm. It was still 8.28 by there own clock! Why turn off the toaster when there are people still in the queue and still open till 9pm? If she hadn’t been so excruciatingly inept at her job then the toaster would have still been on. I just walked out. What a joke. Wish I had read reviews before I wasted my time, but to be honest I have never had a bad experience at a subway (Australia, Canada, France, New York)

I know this is not fine dining, but I'm really surprised at the low level of service at this Subway. I placed my order for a sandwich, and after he finished making half of my sandwich, he began working on three sandwiches for the woman behind me. So I waited for about 3 minutes, while he finished her sandwiches. Meanwhile, there were two other gals working, walking around the behind the counter and neither of them stopped to help finish make my sandwich. Additionally, I asked for two types of cheese. He did not tell me that they charge extra for this. Besides that, he put on four half slices of cheese on the sandwich, which to my knowledge is the appropriate amount for a foot long. But when I received my receipt, there was an $0.80 charge for extra cheese. Thank goodness I'm from out of town and won't have to stop by this subway again.

Le pire Subway que je n'ai jamais vu. Des sandwichs faits à l'arrache, avec les légumes partout dans le papier d'emballage, sauf dans le pain. Le pain est ouvert des deux cotés, laissant justement tous les légumes tomber. Quand je voulais juste attirer l'attention du manager à ce problème, il a fait comme si c'était mon problème; comme si c'était moi qui avait fait le sandwich, alors que j'ai bien demandé "un petit peu de ça, un petit peu de ça....". Devant son entêtement (un manager qui n'a aucun sens de relationnel), j'ai fini par jeter le sandwich, chose que je déteste faire, même avec les miettes de pain (je les mets dans un pot pour les oiseaux). Je déconseille vivement. Je n'ai pas trop de choix à part mettre une seule étoile; une note négative aurait été plus proche de la réalité.

First we paid $29 for.a footlong turkey breast meal. No extra meat or cheese and one footing all American club meal no extra anything. Both meals had regular medium drinks! Out of line! I don't know if it was the Louisiana taxes or what but that's was outrageous. The manager was rude and unprofessional. She was supposed to be going on lunch break but 2 other couples plus our group of 4 all came in at the same time so she had to help behind the counter making sandwiches. She sure didn't mind with the way she was making the sandwiches and asking the questions letting us know how much of an inconvenience we were causing her

BY FAR THE WORST SUBWAY IVE EVER BEEN TO! FOR THE RECORD I VISITED THIS SAME STORE 4/16 FOR LUNCH AND THE STAFF WAS ASWOME!!! TODAY DURING LUNCH COMPLETELY DIFFRENT STORY! YOUR STAFF WAS RUDE AND TODAY IS THE 1ST TIME IN THE 15 YEARS IVE BEEN EATING SUBWAY THAT IN ONLY ALLOWED 3 CHOICES OF VEGGIES . IM VEGAN AND SUBWAY HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY GO TO PLACE TO EAT IN A PINCH AS I TRAVEL 200 DAYS OUT OF THE YEAR. ALL I WANTED WAS A VEGGIE WRAP WITH ALL THE VEGGIES AND WAS TOLD NO! THERE ARE 300 OF US AND IM GONNA MAKE DAM SURE THEY ALL KNOW NOT TO GO TO SUBWAY AS YOU ARE NO LONGER A VEGAN FRIENDLY PLACE! PISSED AND HUNGRY! HAD TO GO 3 MILES AWAY TO ONE OF YOUR COMPETITOR'S.

Needs a minus 10 because, If you want good customer service stay away from this Subway, everybody in this location is rude, disgusting, and disrespectful,2 of the employees who managed 1001 Loyola Ave, New Orleans, LA 70113 location also managed this same location, they have no customer service skills at all, they refuse to make your Sub the way you want, and even after my coworkers and I asked if we can pay additional fees for simple things like lettuce and pickles they told us NO. This staff is giving Subway a really bad Reputation hands down.

Experience was subpar as usual. I have worked at subways before & all I can say is these employees make the worst sandwiches & ALWAYS give me the wrong sandwiches if I'm not watching like a hawk. The last time I went I ordered a spicy Italian but didn't watch the guy. Got home with a sandwich that only had bologna on it. They even have to turn around and look at the menu most times to even know what sandwiches I'm talking about when I order,lol. I will still go here,but only because it is the only one around me. Get better employees or train better.

Store seemed to be clean. The oven door was broken and had to be held in place while in use. I visited early in the evening, no where near closing time. Bread options were extremely limited and they were out of a few veggies. While the employee was friendly, there were no other customers in the store and it took about 10 minutes to complete my order. I got a veggie delite sub; it was average and lacked freshness. This location is conveniently located, but I will likely go to a different one the next time I want Subway.

I was there for all of 5 minutes. The lady was very rude and impatient and there wasn’t anyone there, but her son I assume coloring. She asked could she help me and I said yes give me one second I’m uncertain. She then again said can I help you with anything and I said yes, one second I’m a little indecisive thank you. Lastly, she said what do you need, and it was all Ima. Very disgusting tone of voice. It wasn’t busy, nor was I being a hassle to her.

Horrible service. The worker who picked up the phone when I called to ask about my order placed on Waitr was completely useless and apparently didn’t understand English well when I was asking an obvious question. To top it off, my order was wrong. They can’t read English either because the last time I checked, a Black Forest ham, egg and cheese sandwich is supposed to come with ham. Well what else do you expect from a franchise? Eat fresh. Sure.

There's this girl that works there with a her kid. She is so mean and rude. She talked to me like a child. Just because I, wanted a sandwich. And she Clam too be off the clock. And then she beat me up and call the cops on me. Because I, ask her why she is being so mean to me. I'm a diabetic and just need something to eat. So I, grab a bag of chips and that's when she attacked me alone with her son. In court I, will see her again.

Most reviews said the staff was rude here. I had a different interaction. I came in knowing there may be an issue of rudeness thanks to those reviews. However, they weren't rude! They were just really emotionally down. I talked to the workers and when I showed regard and interest in them. They perked up and were fine- not great. There's a real opportunity for a good manager to help these folks get excited about their work.

Probably the worst Subway I've been to. The employees were downright mean, and I'm pretty sure they scam customers for extra money when they order the "$6 sub of the day". My friend and I both ordered it but they charged him an extra dollar for no reason. A woman behind us complained why she was paying extra, and the cashier said it's because she ordered a "different sandwich". Like what? Don't go here!

This location needs SERIOUS SUPERVISION! The employees act as if their at home relaxing on the porch. Their rarely ever inside when you get there. And omg lord forbid you actually want something to eat, the attitudes are just awful. They behave as if you owe them something. Whoever the owner is obviously just doesn’t care or doesn’t have the slightest clue how their establishment is being ran.

Went to get myself and my brother a Subway. The clerk, a 30ish long hair skinny afroamerican male was extremly rude when asking about the ingredients, yelled and started pointing at us. At one point he just stopped preparing them. He left the counter, confronted and threaten us both to go outside and engage a fist fight. He left the premises saying he would look for us once his shift ended.

There is no real selection to choose from and the employees are just so mean and simply distasteful. I had my worst experience to any subway or any place ever in US in my last ~9 years. Extremely rude and incompetent people. Not worth a single star, the first time I have been so harsh on a google review, but there are incredibly bigoted people working over there. Simply horrible!

Rudest Employee I've ever met. She was on her phone (speakerphone) while taking my order and then got mad at me when I couldn't hear her over her phone conversation. She refused to put any more that a line of mayo on my sandwich. She said and I quote "I'm not sitting here all night squinting mayo on your sandwich". REALLY IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER OPTION GO THERE INSTEAD!

I'm giving this three stars only because it's a franchise and you know what to expect. Otherwise, staff is to be desired and most of the time they are out of something. You can find the staff sitting in the restaurant waiting for customers to arrive. Sometimes you get a smile sometimes it's straight to the point. Only reason I go here is it is convenient to my work.

My boyfriend walked in and literally, I do mean literally, got yelled at by an employee for not understanding why he couldn't order during open hours. Worst. Service. Ever.

Avoid this Subway at all costs. They do not accept any coupons but do not post their policy. When they had no tomatoes for the sandwiches they wouldn't so much as give us a courtesy cup in compensation, instead they were ready to have me escorted out for complaining. Bad news place.

I was told public restroom was out of order, I couldn't even washy hands. Bread selection was limited to white or wheat and they were out of roast beef. Customer service was subpar. Employees seemed unfriendly and showed no concern to customers wants or needs.

The food is good but in the evening there are usually items missing to add to your sandwich. The evening shift staff doesn't greet customers and t mop up hours before closing time then gets upset when you walk up to order a sandwich.
