I was rejected and humiliated. My family was looking forward to a 3 day weekend of San Antonio fun. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The way the Blazing Star Luxury representative treated my family is the worst ever experienced so much so it was almost unbelievable. I arrived a little early, I went to the front desk got all the necessary information and proceed to our camp site. My husband and I worked as a team and started to get the camper settled at the site. At the point where the – I would say this loosely- “representative” approached my husband. We were 90% complete with our set up. She approached my husband and said the resort would not allow us to stay. My husband not knowing what exactly she was trying to tell him, called for me , as I was in the camper placing everything in the proper space. She began to tell me that we were not going to be allowed to stay there because our camper was 10 years or older than the required age for their site. I told her how I read the details in the reservation, carefully placed my information and read their information on the website when I booked the site and I also read and was told everything at the front desk everything was good… She said the receptionist did not see the camper and if she did she would of not let me check in. I told her this was rude and unpleasant, her response was that this was the RV site’s POLICY and she was there to inforce it < her words INFORCE it. I told her that I booked it way in advance to avoid any issues and now we had nowhere else to stay. Her response was yes there is plenty of places and she said she had to deal with “this” earlier with another person and she guaranteed me I would be able to stay at the RV site down the road. I explained that all money was tied up in this reservation she said YOU will be refunded. We asked for cash refund as we did not have very much spare cash to book another site, she said it was going to be immediately refunded but if it takes “our” bank a few days then it was our bank that did that. She refused our request for a cash refund. And through all this her stature was demanding and unhelpful. She proceeded to stand there until we until we unhooked everything. We did not argue, we did not scream, our demeanor was in disbelief the whole interaction. At one point of this over dominated experience, a person drove up and asked her if she …yes she…. needed anything –I guess she told him no ofcourse because we in no way was being unruly. She then told me to meet her at front desk where I would get a receipt for my refund. I had to go back to the front desk, face all these other workers that my camper was not good enough to stay there. I was not good enough to stay there. It was humiliating. This woman did not help US with anything! Or showed any kindness or empathy for a situation she was upholding Because of this last minute arrangement my young son had to be told NO on several occasions for extras on our short family trip because the refund took 2 days to deposit. Can you imagine telling your child or grandchild no to popcorn, toys, and other treats at a park like Sea World?! We also did not get to do the site seeing of San Antonio like we wanted because of this resort and their poor service. Update: A little late ....I made a complaint to the Blazing Star RV Resort Rep response was to offer a free 3 day weekend BUT I needed to bring a RV 10 years or younger = not my current camper. I rejected the offer and this resort's less than effort to resolve this issue.

This park is beautifully laid out and landscaped, but the amenities are difficult to use, making it not worth the price. It is not a camper oriented park. If you have a problem after hours there is no one to call. We spent a night without wifi due to this. There are 3 shower cabins with 4 showers in each. The combined bathroom/showers were good but often dirty and only open from 8 am - 9 pm. I have never seen this kind of policy - it seemed odd as the showers also had coded locks. I imagine it saves the camp money as fewer people are able to access the showers. The showers are also cleaned only during the open hours and so are dirty first thing in the morning and inaccessible while they are cleaned. As we were out and about seeing the city we were only able to use these showers twice during the week we stayed there. It was very irritating having to use the RV shower because we went out to dinner or saw a movie. It was especially irritating to pay $60 a night and still have to use the RV shower. When I asked about the shower hours the woman at the desk was a bit snooty and asked if I didn't have my own shower in the RV. I did - but why pay $60 a night to have to use and clean my own equipment? The small pool advertised as heated was pretty, but not heated - it was freezing and we could not use it. We saw people in it only once during our week there. When I talked to the manager she explained she had a policy to turn it off at a certain date regardless of weather and she couldn't just turn it on and off every day etc.. However, my condo has a heated pool so I know a heater can be set for a certain temperature so it isn't just going on and off all day. Regardless, if you say you are the best in San Antonio and advertise a heated pool - you should provide it. When we stayed the nights were in the 50s and 60s the entire week and it had also been that cold the week prior. I am sure it saved her money to have the pool not being used during this cold period, but it seems to defeat the purpose of being a luxury resort. The manager did not apologize or appear sorry that the pool could not be used. Her attitude and inflexibility did not make me feel she cared about our experience. In fact, we chose this park because of the heated pool and would have stayed somewhere less expensive had their website been truthful. There was no hot tub, sauna, or any other type of spa facility. There were no activities or social events. The wifi was fine and offered a streaming speed for a fee. We did that and it worked very well (hooking up the TV through an HDMI cord and my computer streaming Netflix and Hulu.) The sites were roomy and some had picnic tables on connected pads. Our picnic table pad was nearby but not connected. The laundry room was spacious and comfortable. The washers were ok and dryers were good. It was 2.00 for a "super wash." The park had a clever little playground which allowed parents to sit in covered booths while their children played inside the gated area. It also had a small children's pool near the main pool. I assume it was unheated as I never saw it used. They advertised a shuttle service to Sea World, which we did not use. Overall, we will not stay here again. In fact, we moved after a week to a less expensive park in Schertz that had a amazing hot tub and a friendlier vibe. We were very happy we decided to leave and only wished we had left sooner.

What's in a name? During our five-month stay for the winter 2021-22 season, we had plenty of opportunity to examine the characteristics & personality of the park. Sun Communities is re-branding most if not all of it's properties. This park is now known as "Sun Outdoors San Antonio West", and all of the signage reflects that change. The old name, and the language still on Sun's webpage touts the park as a "Luxury RV Resort". While it is nice, it is not luxurious and it is not a resort. I would consider it more of a community than a destination. There are a large number of very long-term guests here. The park's amenities are all located near the office & entrance which is at the far Southwest corner of the property. These include a large enclosed dog park, small playground, pool, fitness center, laundry & bath house. Overflow parking is limited, so traveling with extra vehicles and/or utility trailers can be challenging. The management has done a fine job on the sites & paved pads, providing plenty of length and a level experience. The pads have additional concrete approach & departure features to make entering & exiting your site easier with a large rig. The spacing between sites varies with some being tight and others being more spacious. A majority of the sites have lots of Live Oak trees, and the mess that they bring. I suppose that any shade is welcome in the summer here. The park entrance off the northbound Loop 1604 frontage road is easy to miss on your first visit. Keep your eyes peeled, and allow yourself adequate swing room entering since you'll be making a near-180 turn, and there are guard posts on the inside that many folks seemed to have hit. We've witnessed it, and the rigs lose the battle. To a person, the park staff in and out of the office were friendly & helpful. There was a winter group of regulars who put on a Saturday morning breakfast, and also did karaoke on Monday night. The park sponsored a meal & fellowship for the major holidays. If you are looking for an active community experience, it is not here. We found quite a bit of traffic noise... not the normal din of nearby Loop 1604 or Military Rd just to the North. Rather, this was vehicles with modified exhaust under hard acceleration at most times of the day & night. It must be a local thing. Also, as I mentioned above regarding long-term residents, many of those folks have daily commitments that keeps them moving about the park early & late. The complimentary WiFi is managed by Tengo, as is the case in a great many parks. It stinks here, just like it does most other places. I could manage maybe 2 Mbps download on a good day. Power, water & sewer were as they should be. For us, Verizon coverage was solid. We enjoyed our stay here, but it wasn't necessarily what we were seeking as snowbirds. I'd return for a short stay. We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

My family and I stayed here for a month in Oct 2021. We are full-time and will return. Pros: Large pull through site, level, friendly neighbors, staff is phenomenal, clean pool, hot tub, clean workout room, clean bathrooms, safe location, quiet park, playground is nice, masks worn due to COVID 19, very clean park overall. Cons: Mosquitoes were really bad, birds (I'm allergic and my neighbor fed them.) Might not be a problem for bird lovers. There is a posted speed limit but countless guests ignored it on the main road. I wish that there was someone that could enforce this. Some flooding killed our EMS that was only about 2 months old. Edit: We've stayed at this park on and off for approximately 5 months. Pros: New signs and reduced speed limit! There are numerous renovations ongoing at the park including paint, fencing, etc. The name of the park also changed. The rules were updated. Wrist bands are required for the pool. Mosquitoes weren't bad from March - June. The pool and hot tub are routinely cleaned. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly. The staff is superior to the 20+ parks we've stayed at. Cons: Depending on what site you pick, you may have to put in some work to get level. Though there are signs to deter speeding, it is an ongoing problem. Guests are ignoring the rules. I've seen countless kids in the hot tubs and in the gym. Moreover, I've seen kids under at at the pool by themselves. It tends to happen mostly after the office closes or on the weekends. Additionally, people are coming to the pool on the weekend that are not guests. Most claim that they know someone at the park but they don't have a wristband and haven't been registered. Roaches have recently been a problem. I believe this is due to guests not cleaning up and taking food in the bathhouses. There are signs posted due to this but again, it is being ignored. This park truly is 5 stars and I'd return just because of the staff. However, guests need to be held accountable. I think roaming security at nighttime would be beneficial. That's when all of the mischief normally occurs.

Overall, the experience should’ve resulted in a good review. However, the end to our vacation resulted in a well-deserved 1 star review. Here is why: If you look at other reviews you can see that within the past year there has been an increase in unsatisfactory experiences. My case is no different Prior to arranging my trip to San Antonio, I called Blazing Star resort so as to get a quote for a five-day stay. Everything went well and they gave me a good price that beat out the other places that I had called. On the third morning of my stay I received a phone call letting me know I had to vacate the site since I supposedly only had the space until Monday. Well, that was completely incorrect, having repeatedly verified with the attendant on the phone that I needed the site until Wednesday. I called and spoke to a woman that guaranteed that she was the person whom I had spoken with a couple days back. (She wasn’t the person I’d spoken to, the lady that I had spoken to had a heavy accent) Yet she refutes my claim of having set Wednesday as my checkout date and requires an additional payment of $200 to let me maintain my space. So with no other option but to leave and find another place where we would have to set everything up again, we paid the amount. So just a forewarning to anyone looking to stay here, be careful when it comes down to payment time. As far as the actual park, the spaces are tight. Tight enough that you can hear everything that your neighbor might be up to. Trees hang over the RV spot, which is not the lost ideal situation for an RV with an awning, and the roads are so narrow that it leaves almost no space for parking your vehicle much less driving.

Everything seemed great when we first came in. The check in staff was very kind and helpful. The facility is a little tight but we were able to make it work. We enjoyed the first night in the pool. My in-laws were staying at the other end of the park in a cabin so we brought our golf cart. My father-in-law has had major back surgery and we have a 2 year old so we thought that would be easiest in getting back and forth to their cabin. We drove down to their cabin for dinner and 2 minutes after we got there, there was a knock at the door. A man (on a golf cart) rudely told us that golf carts were not allowed. I realized he was a worker and I told him we had no idea and explained our circumstances. He said too bad and started writing down a description of our golf cart and my in-laws cabin number like we were criminals. We were very upset and the rest of the nights were a pain in the neck having to walk a VERY long way. The second night we decided to walk down to the pool. We had been at sea world all day and didn't get to the pool until 8:30. My husband and I were swimming with our 2 year old and 30 minutes later, at 9:00 on the dot, two people came into the pool area and said "get out, pool's closed". We were so confused and they said again "get out, now". We felt like we were treated like criminals. It was a little ridiculous. I think their "quiet time" is a little early and honestly, hey didn't need to be so rude. We will definitely stay elsewhere because of the way we were treated and the silly rules.

We chose to stay here for a week while we visited the San Antonio area. I will say that we have 5 kids and a small dog, so we like to find places that will accommodate us. When we made our reservation, there was no option to chose our spot. When we checked in, they had us all the way at the back of the park, quite a hike to the pool and playground. When we told the desk lady about our kids, she offered to move us closer to the pool, which was very nice. It seems the first couple rows are for short term guests, while the back of the park appears to be more for people that stay long term, my guess is these are the folks that get grumpy at the short term people, so if you are just there for a few days I would request something closer to the pool area. Our kids had a great time swimming almost daily and riding their bikes all through the park, which we thought might be an issue as we had seen other reviews that mentioned being scolded for not supervising their kids. While we didn't need them, I did check out the showers and bathrooms. They looked like I walked into someone's bathroom at their home! Each bathroom has a large shower, sink, and toilet, and LOTS of tile! Very nice. The laundry room was nice and clean, and was usable 24 hrs with a door code. If you don't mind a few rules (helps keep out the unsavery and irresponsible) then you will enjoy this park. We had a wonderful stay.

I love staying here. I am staying long term at this location and I am in heaven. It is so beautiful. Safe. Amazing and friendly employees. It is just great all the way around. It is absolutely gorgeous and what’s even better is we are right off a busy highway and you don’t really notice the place but when you drive in and up the hill you see it’s an RV park. You don’t imagine there is a slice of heaven just off a spot on 1604 and a convenient spot at that. Potranco is right there. Alamo Ranch is like 2 min away. It is just the best. I cannot say that enough. I am happy to come home each day. Just wish I had a little more time to spend at home instead of everything else I do. I don’t get to enjoy the amenities at all but there is so many things this place offers. There is for sure something for everyone. There is also events always happening to enjoy yourself, with your family or to get to know your neighbors. It’s awesome. (The only thing missing is cornhole or giant jenga blocks or a huge checkers game) If you’re in an RV and in the SA area I highly suggest checking this place out. Summers are hot but that’s just the weather here. Right now is the perfect time til summer comes again.

Well we have been leaving here for 2 years and management before was amazing ms Terry was amazing manager, now that we have different. Management. Norma rude lady.. our water heater broke down in our rv and we haven’t been able to fix it so we go and take showers me and my 11 month baby so we need big shower the only restroom.that has big shower is that one by the pool and that only one that work well , we got there today at 8:30 and and we were done a little bit after nine and apparently those pool gate must be closed at 9 she closed the gate on us and left us inside the pool Area with my baby on the stroller .. all restrooms I have been very dirty lately , no toilet paper at all some shower don’t even work well and water comes out really hot we never had complain before. But I guess the managers more worry about closing the gate by the pool exact at 9 pm then going and check what need’s to be fixed in the resort. I can’t not wait to move out of this place now we not happy at all. all the other staff workers are amazing by the way.

We made a reservation over the phone and stopped by the next day to take a look at the park. They have a office with a store, mailing room, nice. The fitness center is no bigger than a small bedroom. There is a swimming pool with a hot tube. This is only thing going for this resort. The staff were very nice. There are trees everywhere and extremely tight turns, also the roads are very narrow. The rv pads are small and quonkie. There is no live able space to set up outside. Cars stick out every where it’s hard to pass in the roads, you must park sideways. The rate was over $700 dollars and going up to $725 in January, plus utilities. There are a lot of long term folks. Junk everywhere piled up around the coaches. There is literally no privacy or space. We have stayed at other Sun Rv parks in Florida and spacing and rv pads were top notch. I’m disappointed that more is not being done to make this a better RV Pads. There is a premium for better but they are all the same size. It just the difference in amount of grass between the pads. This park is not designed for big rigs.

We arrived on 12/23/18 and left on 3/23/19. Upon arrival, the check-in was very quick and informational. The vast majority of sites are wooded and there is nice spacing between mostly level, concrete items. The resort is very clean and well kept, including the bathrooms and laundromat. All staff, especially the ladies in the front office, were friendly and helpful. Communal events were offered, such as breakfast on Saturday mornings, potluck dinner on Monday’s and special dinners about every other Wednesday. Even though the pool was technically closed during the month of February for resurfacing, you could use it if the workers were not present. The park was quiet at night; designated rules strictly enforced. Excellent dog excercise area. The San Antonio area has much to offer to explore and visit. We found the locals very friendly and businesses were military/veteran friendly also. As this was our very first “snowbirding” experience and thoroughly enjoyed it! We shall be returning next year!

We are staying there now, it has everything you could possibly need it also has park homes which are little houses if you don't have a camper like we do, it has bathhouses to take a shower and those are really nice, it has full RV hookup, Free Cable, Internet too. We love that cuz we have a camper, but if your friends and family want to stay here too with you they can get their own Park Home and their own spot so you could all be together in the same place, that makes it awesome. They have a beautiful swimming pool, hot tub and they have a kids playground, little dog park and Big Dog Park for the dogs, they are Pet Friendly. They have nice gathering places for you to hook up with your family, a laundromat and nice ladies that run the office and are knowledgeable about everything and more. They helped me pick out some pretty flip flops to wear to the shower very family friendly you must check them out. P.S my husband said to tell you they have cement pull throughs for the Campers and lots of trees for shade too.

It was a nice park. Our first site was next to a crabby lady that looked like she came home from work and didn’t want to see or talk to any one. We were pulling in and as we were pushing our side out. “You know that is our yard!” It was a tight site due to some trees. I pulled away and called the office. Found a great site for more money. Next time this happens well pull out and go someplace else! We were only going to stay for a couple of days this was our last stop before heading home and we had to do laundry. Well...timing for us was bad! The coin machines were beening pulled out as we were pulling in. Ugh. The day we needed to leave the machines were up and running. Well I had to get a card “$10 deposit!” and put money on it I needed $6 on the card. Guess what... no singles are allowed on the card!!!! Come on why would you want to pay more and leave money on a card that you would never use again? If you need money that bad, charge more for your sites! Oh wait...you do all ready!!! Smh

My family of 5 traveled the United States, full time, for 4 years. My brother lives in the area so we stayed at Blazing Star RV Resort for a few weeks per year and that is where we were when COVID hit and we decided to stay there for an extended period while we figured out how to handle our future travel plans. We rented an RV site and a cabin for several months during this process. The staff are amazing and friendly. The community was wonderful and caring. During the big freeze in February 2021 the staff really shined. Making sure food, water and supplies were available to everyone, free of charge. The sites were nicer than any other RV park we visited during our travels that was in any highly populated area. The cabin, and RV park in general was well maintained and all service requests were handled promptly and professionally. I wish there were an option for more stars. They truly deserve it.

We recently stayed here while visiting relatives in the area. I made the reservations and than I checked the reviews after. I have to say some of the reviews were quite scary so I called the resort and spoke to two very nice ladies....they assured me there was nothing to worry about and apologized for some of the untrue comments made. Well, when we checked in (and ultimately stayed here) I can surely attest that none of the false comments made were anywhere near the truth....this place and the staff were very nice!! I also promised the staff that when I returned home I would most definitely post my honest review. So folks here is my honest and glowing review.....the resort was clean, the staff was nice, the place was quiet, we had a nice level site, a nice grass area beside us and everyone who was staying near our site was courteous and respectful! I would stay here again if in town and recommend to anyone I know.

  • Liliana Michel

Honestly, this is a place where you could stay indefinitely; it is that good. The grounds are extremely well kept, the staff is super friendly and so helpful, the location is fabulous, and it's peaceful here (except for the occasional loud air and highway traffic which cannot be helped by the staff, lol). The only ding would be that the internet is spotty at best, but we resolved that with our own hotspots. Overall, we highly recommend Sun Retreats in West San Antonio!

Poor management. Never answer the phone. My brother and I have lived there for about a year now, A couple months ago there was a shooting a row over. Did they send a public notice? NO!!! Also my brothers car recently stopped working on the highway and had it towed to what I THOUGHT was my home, unfortunately when I notified the manager Kathy, her words stated “ it’s the company policy that if it does not work it will be towed.” Which mind you it was a weekend. We can’t get help on the weekend! I am a college student who pays the rent, who abides by the rules. If they didn’t want ANYONE to park there they should take the visitor sign of the concrete. This is why I am leaving I need to make sure my little brother and I are safe and well respected. My family and I will not be returning. Thank you.

Nice RV park that was priced appropriately due to the December special. We stayed several days. The pads are concrete, but require a lot of leveling. Our front tires as well as others around us were off the ground. The bathrooms were spacious and appeared to be cleaned regularly. The wifi was okay for us. There are a lot of trees so driving through the park will be tricky if you have a large coach. The entrance is easy to miss on the service drive. The staff was always friendly and professional. We didn't use any of the extras such as the fitness room or pool. It is close to the expressway so road noise was heard, but not too extreme. It is located on the outskirts of San Antonio so you will need to drive to tourist activities. Major shopping retailers and restaurants were close.

Pros. The resort is super clean, well lit at night, quiet after hours. Cons. Not very family friendly despite their efforts to do so. Everything!... including the bathrooms, pools, laundry facilities closes at 9. Don’t anticipate a day out of the town and coming back to the campsite late in hopes to shower your family... Or late night swimming during spring break... or laundry because your wild 12 year old son ran through all of his clothes in the first two days. Additionally, the restrooms are cleaned at 8:00 every morning (at least for my trip during spring break). So don’t plan on using the restroom from 8-9 am either. They have great amenities, it sure would have been nice to use them more.

  • Bonnie Culpepper

Really loved this place! It was quiet and yet close to lots of different places, almost across the street from SeaWorld. The staff was friendly and answered all of my questions. Pool and hot tub was clean and easy access. There is a small playground and a good sized dog park! There's laundry onsite, you will need to purchase a card beforehand but it's open all night! Pretty good price and always check online for deals. They take a $200 deposit that was refunded within 3 days after we left. Beds were really hard and the couch bed was not comfortable and the cabin really needs another dresser or cabinet for storage/extra clothes. Great place!!! Will be returning for every San Antonio trip!

  • Julissa Rojas

It was a very nice rv camp compared to many others we have stayed at. However. I thought it was so unkind of the lady that went over to our campsite and asked if we were almost gone. I replied we’re almost headed out we just had a little accident with our rv and we got it fixed but we’re on our way out. Well we got charged 30 dllrs for going over our checkout time which was at 11 and we literally left at 11:45. I know we all have a job to do and there are rules to follow but you also have to be kind in this world and know that there are things that we as humans do not have control over. It’s not like they were losing business. There were literally over 20 spots availbale around us.

  • Megan

Cannot say enough amazing things about this place! If you are planning a family trip to Seaworld/ Aquatica with an RV this is THE PLACE TO STAY!!! They offer a free shuttle daily to and from the park that we had to ourselves daily with a right out front of the park drop off and pick up. When we wanted to stay outside of their hours we Ubered the other way - this saved so much time, money, and hassle with little kids. The pool at the resort is beautiful, huge and well maintained. The showers and rv spots are nice. I will stay here again just for the friendliness of the staff, the rest of this was just icing on the cake.

  • Jessica Beveridge

Beautiful RV resort with plenty of things to do for the family. They have a great game room and a poolside ping pong table. The pool is hard huge, with a shallow end for the little ones and a deeper end that’s great for floating. The playground is right beside the pool, and will keep the little ones entertained for a while. The grounds are immaculate. My mother and her fiancé stay in an RV and absolutely love it. Their neighbors are all very nice are respectful. If you’re just looking to party, it’s not that kind of place. If you’re looking for a family friendly, safe, resort style park; you’ve found it.

  • Anthony Galata

Over the last few years, the price has only gone up as well as the number of issues within the park. The price rose about 80% since I got here in 2018, but they haven’t done anything to improve or maintain the park. Speeders are a real issue in the park, and they promised to add additional speed bumps in crucial areas, but never did. I almost got hit several times just walking my dogs. The area and curb appeal is nice, and the staff is very friendly, but the good feelings dissipate when you’re there for an extended period of time and see nothing being improved or issues being resolved.

  • Jimmy Hill

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Nice little playground and a gameroom with a couple pool tables, and a good sized dog park which was split into 2 sections based on the size of your dog. Nice laundry facility and bath houses were kept very clean. Park was also really convenient to several places to grab food quick if needed (Chick-fil-A, Taco Cabana, and several others) and 2 minutes from a Walmart. Sea World is literally around the corner and only took about 20 minutes to get to Market Square/Riverwalk. Great location! We'll definitely stay again for our next trip to San Antonio.

  • Shannon Medina

We are full timers and every time we're in San Antonio we call this place home. We really love it here. The staff and amenities are great. We enjoy the size of the sites and all the trees! Also as a monthly resident electricity and water is included and that's a big deal to us. If I had to change anything I would maybe put in an extra dumpster or two around the park and that's about it. We have a rather large class a motor home and we fit in our spot just fine. All of the facilities are clean and well-maintained as are all of the RV sites. We are always very happy to come back! :-)

  • Bill Blue

Just returned home from a trip to San Antonio and stayed at Blazing Star. Check in was quick and easy with a detailed map to our site. Sites have a number of trees and many are very shady. We were near bathhouse #1 and it was very clean and had four complete bathrooms with large showers. Sites are concrete and level with a picnic table. Our site was easy to get into even with our large Class A and toad. Resort has a large pool and playground adjacent to each other. Also, it’s only about five minutes to Sea World. This will be our go to place when visiting the San Antonio area.

  • Andrea Staten

We just stayed here for a month and felt cozy. Well maintained park. Nicely laid out. Nice dog parks with seperate areas for big and little dogs. Much appreciated. Nice pool area and hot tub. Great mail service too. Great layout for walking for exercise too. Only drawback is the freeway being built and the noise of it at all hours and the scary one way road that serves as the freeway right now. You have to be on your toes to get out. Plus a pain to get back in. Alot of extra driving. Right down the road from Seaworld too. Bummer it was closed whole time we were here.

  • Jeongeun Yoo

Friendly and professional staff and awesome location close to everything you might ever need however, sites are a bit close together. AVOID the back row up against a subdivision. The home right behind me left their dog out in the backyard unattended throughout the day, more than several hours each time and this dog barked and barked and barked and barked…poor dog was outside after midnight, early in the morning before sunrise, and thru out the day… I called the office and talked to Connie about the issue. She said she would call the police department and report it.

  • Robert Jordan

My wife is a travel nurse and we live full time in an RV. This is by far one of the best campgrounds we have ever been to. The campground itself is fantastic! Laundry on site, multiple bathhouses if needed, large dog park (one side small, one large), trees in between each site, and many of the sites are pull through. The rates are competitive as well! We stayed at a resort near by that was more expensive and no where near as nice. Convenience is key!!!!! 5 minute drive from grocery, gym, gas, and Starbucks!

Really great place. We picked this place because it was close to Seaworld which was the reason for our trip. Check in was very easy, and the cabin was ready early. Clean and spacious cabin with a loft. There was also an outdoor pool and playground available. If you like a cold place to sleep bring a fan with you. You cannot set the thermostat in the cabins below 72. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some lights needed to be changed and they had someone come right out and take care of it. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Meagan Green

Love this place! It has such a nice atmosphere. Lots of trees and grass. There's always people outside walking their dogs or going for a run, and everyone is so friendly. The heated pool is nice and they even have a ping pong table. The RV spaces are fancy. All have cement pads and some of them even have wooden patio decks. The monthly price is a lot less than what I'm used to (living in Austin). I came to San Antonio for work, but because of this resort I woudln't mind sticking around for a while.

  • Chrissye Marie

Nice concrete level lots, just very narrow. Patio (spot) was so narrow we had to move the picnic table sideways next to our rig so we could walk around to the back. Nice pool and hot tub, clean laundry area. The laundry card with a 10$ deposit was a bit annoying... Specially since you had to go to the main office (which closed at 6) to reload the card to wash laundry. But it was nice to not have to fiddle with quarts. We were there a week, and enjoyed ourselves. Not sure we would go there again.

  • Patrick Day (patday)

For my first time staying here. It was very nice, kids loved the pool. There was a play ground and arcade that we never got to visit. If you happen to forget or need something, there is a Walmart, academy, Walgreens and h.e.b. within 1.5 miles of you. They will shuttle you to sea world, even though it is only a 8 to 10 minute drive. There are some good restaurants withing 10 minutes, urban brick pizza ( I highly recommend), and also burger boy. We will he staying here again in the near future!

  • Ranch Gal (Wrangler)

I love this park for so many reasons. First, the personnel is fabulous. Its spotlessly clean. The bath houses are WONDERFUL. They sell propane. All my hookups are perfect no matter what site i have been in. You can get mail and packages. The pool area is very nice. They have 2 dog park's. One for the big dogs and one for the small. Nice playground for little kids. They have a tiny fitness room. The live oak trees all through the park are well maintained and beautiful.

  • Bryan Johnson

We parked our camper here so we could attend BMT graduation at Lackland. The park is clean and we'll kept. Bathrooms were clean, office staff were friendly, laundry facilities were good. We didn't need it, but they do have propane fill. The park was quite quiet even though it is just off of the highway. The park was only about 15-20 minutes from Lackland. The Alamo and River Walk were pretty easy to get to and from as well. Very glad we chose this park.

  • Christian Chaidez

I was able to spend time with my family, it was wonderful. there are trees around the RV Resort scattered and in the right place giving the whole place the ambiance that it needs. wether you bring your own RV or not there are houses you can rent from. The showers/restrooms are spotless, they dont smell. Dont forget to bring your own bike you can ride around plenty. Overall it was fun Experience!

It's very clean and quiet but the spots are a little close. Has plenty of places to eat and get groceries within 10 minutes so it was really convenient. It seemed to be mostly retired and full timers. The pool and hot tub were very clean, the playground was also nice. Definitely recommend for older couples that wants to visit San Antonio and then relax in the quietness after a full day of the city.

We have stayed at dozens of parks around the country and this one, by far, has the smallest rv spots I've ever seen. They are so short and narrow. The spots are soooo close to one another. The roads in this park are extremely narrow and definitely not for bigger rvs. I gave two stars because the park was clean and staff is friendly. Took away 3 stars for it being over priced for what it is, tiny spots.

  • Minnesota Mike

We returned for the 2013-2014 winter. The same great staff is here. Each one is always ready to help in any way they can. Cathy the manager will bend over backwards to do what it takes to make your stay enjoyable. Looking forward to next winter. We are here now. Management has been wonderful. I don't believe they will tolerate bad behavior. We have stayed here before and plan on staying here longer.

  • Teresa De Leon

The cabin we stayed in was nasty, dirty and hardly any space. You have to clean and through out your own trash. Everywhere else we have stayed they come clean and give you clean towels as long as you're staying. No pit. You just get one roll of toilet paper. And my grand daughter got bug bites. Walls full of spiders and even on the bed. The sheets looked like they haven't been washed in a while

  • Kyle Eros

Office staff is exceptional. They helped us find a good spot for our RV. Be warned there are a lot of trees, some people's slides were touching. It does feel like you are on top of each other there, but the fulltimers are a blast to chat with. We would stop back in temporary. It makes it difficult to get in on one way roads and no turn lane to get in. Keep your eye out it isn't marked well.

  • Mike Taylor

My family stay there for a week while on vacation to Sea World in July 2015. I must say i was impressed by the friendly staff. The Park as a whole was clean and kept up nice. I was comfortable with my family staying there, especially having a one year old we felt safe. The only some what negative thing i had was the WiFi is only around the pool/ club house. We will be returning guests.

  • Ben Ryan

Very fine RV resort we have a 40 ft class A with tow. Signage could be better on where to stop to check in. Lots of trees, we were close to road and sounded like the Dayton 500 all night even turning Tv up. I realize this isn’t the resorts fault can’t help location. Very clean, and clean facilities , pet friendly. Great location if taking kids to sea world it’s just down the street.

  • Joaquin Alvarado Sr

The staff was very pleasant. The park is very nice. Tourist attractions are about a half hour away. Essential stores, Wal-Mart, etc., are very close. The biggest problem is the noisy traffic on the major road in front of the park. Cement pads on each site are level. Many full-timers but we didn't have any problems with any if them. We visited in a trailer and would come back.

  • Ted Gibson

I came to San Antonio for work. The park has a nice atmosphere. Lots of trees, grass and very clean. There's always people outside walking and everyone is friendly. The pool is heated and there pool tables and ping pong in the club house. My wife and I enjoy then exercise room and dog walking area. The RV spaces are all pads and some have patio decks. A first class RV park

  • Brenda Morris

They have a lot of amenities but we couldn't sleep because of a dog running around the campgrounds from 1:00 in the morning until later in the day. It barked nonstop!!! We were exhausted. We went to the laundry room but the worker ask us to wait because there was so much dog hair in the machines she needed to clean them. We will pick a different campground next time.

  • Shani Clack

Clean! Very well planned RV resort and community. It's the perfect little spot in San Antonio for tourists, Sea World guests and for locals looking for a nice stay-cation spot. Free 1/2 mile shuttle to Sea World. Fast food, HEB, Academy and Walmart all within the same exit off the highway. Don't have a RV, no problem, they have cabins! Seriously check this place out.

  • Regulus

The sites are VERY tight and some can be really short, my 32ft plus my truck barely fit into the site we were given. It also wasn't level. I couldn't open my awning and almost couldn't open my front door with how unfortunately close this tree was, on top of a 1200 per month plus electric rent. I definitely didn't get what I paid for, look elsewhere for a good stay.

  • Grace Gonzalez

We have a pitbull and these seasonal elderly people were reporting us for our breed of dog and they failed to inform us about the complaints before it was too late they really did nothing to help us keep our dog there. They said our dog must be removed, we don't have a place for him so we had to go too and it was a process. It was a nice park but no help.

  • Harold McLeod

My wife and I stayed there almost a month. We originally were only planning a week but liked it so much delayed our stay. This place meets the check list for all your needs . The price is great, entertainment, cleanliness, staff super friendly. What is more amazing is they provided you with a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Yes we will be back. Thank you.

  • Christy Diaz

Beautiful resort. We really enjoyed it here. Well maintained, with a lot to offer. The only bummer for us was our spot when we left. There really wasn't a good way to pull our 42 foot class A out with out the trees hitting the rid line of our MH. Bent the top of our ladder and left tree marks down half the top. There wasn't a better way to get out

  • Scott Dyke

We stayed at Blazing Star for two months. It was clean, quiet and safe. The cabins were great. The staff was attentive. We could get mail there, which helped a lot in our move to San Antonio. It is great place for visitors and they have shuttle to SeaWorld. Military PCSing to San Antonio, Blazing Star is better that TLF or extended stay places.

  • David Grimard

I will start with how amazing the staff up front is, super friendly and placed me next to my group since my site was moved. The grounds are very nice with lots of mature trees, has a nice pool and great bath houses. Has a very big store and arcade. Very close to Sea World and Six Flags. Will be our go to when traveling to the San Antonio area!

  • Luke Scobel

Very nice rv resort. Mostly clean and easy to drive through. RV pads are not quite level, but not bad. Just make sure you have your leveling blocks/pads. Staff friendly and easy to work with. Could hear the traffic, close to main highway. Will definitely stay again next year on our 2nd trip to San Antonio. Easily a 4 out of 5, closer to 4.5.

  • Mark Mulvamey

Hard to get to, GPS sends you around your elbow to your knee, use Google maps. level spaces, good power and water pressure. check in is right in front by circle. highway noise is loud.

Came to stay when our daughter graduated from Basic Training. This RV park is very nice. Lots of well kept spaces, clean and secure showers and toilets. Paved RV pads. Mature trees and paved lanes. I would recommend this park to anyone looking for a lovely place to park your RV for a night, a week or a month.

  • Delilah Whitaker

Looks nice. Our site though was between trees so we had no room for our picnic table or able to enjoy sitting outside because there was no room. We were told we couldn't use our golf cart. Would've been nice if it were on the website, so we wouldn't have had to go through all the trouble bringing it with us!

  • Lara J

Great customer service, and truly a luxury RV resort. Very nice pool and hot tub, exercise center, etc. Lots were shaded and very nice. Quiet place. The only issue we had was with construction on the road on the way in, but that's temporary :) We will definitely stay again next time we are in the area.

  • David Bischoff

Good park. They have good amenities. Washer, dryer, nice pool, LP gas fill-up, cable, okay wifi. AT&T is hard wired into the park and you can get month to month for 55$ and the internet is good with no contract. You pay a little extra for all this. I feel like it is really worth it.

  • kim c

This park is absolutely beautiful! The grounds a very well maintained. The facilities are immaculate as well. The sites are all very nice with oak trees and other shade trees for a cozy feeling. The staff is so friendly and helpful.. I will be visiting this campground in the future.

  • RUSH- The Live Tour!

We absolutely love it here. The office staff are all so sweet and accommodating! The amenities are very nice and overall the park is beautiful! Pets are welcome and there’s even two doggie parks. The laundry facilities are well kept and clean and the grounds are always nicely mowed.

  • Cavin (ChillinwithcavYT)

The spots are pretty tight, I couldnt even extend my awning. The pool is normally open from 9am to 9pm but because of covid they shut it down at 6pm. This place is close to SeaWorld and walmart. You have to bring your trash to the dumpster, they do not pickup trash from your site.

  • Anthony Joy

No visible cable our month plus stay. TVs were ALL static, internet was poor. Even the upgraded package buffered constantly. Our awning could not open or our neighbors due to trees. Lot was not level.so could not even sit in the NO grass area. Bathroom in was heated, and nice.

  • Luisa Condotta

Beautiful, quiet and clean. We stayed in a cabin for two months, it was very clean and neat. The staff is polite and efficient. Loved walking my dog around in the shade of the trees and hanging out at the pool. Common areas are very well kept. A little bit pricey but worth it.

  • Madelein Gunnels

Loved this place! The staff were very friendly and efficient. The bath house has several bathrooms, each with a shower, toilet and basin. Sparkly clean! RV sites are easy to manoeuvre through with a motorhome or trailer. We'll definitely stay here again when passing through.

  • Barrett Strauss

We did not stay here, but my parents did while visiting us. We did go out to see the camper, and the place was beautiful. Has a “heated” swimming pool. Was still VERY cold. The playground was fun as well for my 2 year old. My parents did say they would also stay here again!

  • Anita Wages

Great place..the only reason I gave it a 4 was pool opened later than was supposed to. Kids were disappointed. But overall best RV park we have ever stayed at. Larger spots, nice dog area, restroom and showers clean and nicer than most hotels have! Close to everything!!!

  • rh2669

For a "city" located RV park it was quite nice. While most spaces are pretty close together, there were some really nice spaces too. The office staff was very accommodating and helpful where they could have been picky.

Well maintained. Constant road noise from the freeway. Spots are very tight. Lots of trees which is nice unless you use a satellite dish. They have cable but ours wouldn't work and channel line up doesn't look good anyway. Not a great experience for the money.

  • Julie Frame

The staff is very helpful and friendly. The laundry was clean. The pool area was a big disappointment. It was dirty and needs repaired. There are broken and missing tiles in the pool and around it. The shower were hit or miss on being clean.

  • Jennifer Di Bias

Great RV park. My only complaint is that the sites are very narrow. Trying to avoid trees and stay on the concrete pad was challenging. Pool area was great, bring bug spray! Lots of mosquitoes. Laundry area is huge. Small store on site too.

  • Terry Fisher

Excellent facility with lots to offer. Sites are a little tight with bigger rvs but the pool was very large abd spacious. They even have a game room and a fitness center! It was a touch on the pricey side as far as rv resorts go though .

  • Chris Bryant

I delivered a 30+ foot bumper pull camper here for a guest and found out the whole place is pretty much pull-thru parking spots! No backing your unit onto a concrete pad! Park with confidence and precision, however big your RV might be!

  • Kara Collard

Highway noise is pretty bad stay toward the back might be better. The sites are very nice and all the facilities are wonderful.

Stayed there for 2 years. It's a Sun Properties park. I liked it there until the rates kept going up than electricity was added on top which jacked the site monthly cost close to $800. Good location with shops an SeaWorld close by.

Great place , dog park could use a lil work but they are making alot of improvements. Very friendly staff and very clean RV park. I've stayed 4 months for work and back again for a few more for work .

  • Shannon Nuelle

Absolutely loved our 7 months at this park. Norma and Terry are wonderful to work with in the office. The amenities are great too. Pet and family friendly We will definitely return!! …

  • Ronda Simmons

Great pool. Very clean restrooms and showers. Our spot #113 was shady. Love the live oak trees! Large dog park. Nice laundry facilities BUT must get laundry card during office hours.

  • Joe Green

It was nice well keep and clean we enjoyed our stay, it's a little tight if your unit is in the 40' range they're working to clear back any tree limbs that hang out in your path.
