Love this laundromat!! Might sound crazy saying "Love", but when you come into a new area you have to experiment until you find the best in things. The first thing that led me here last year, (after I tried Hyde Park, and other areas), were the good reviews about how the men workers don't let a woman enter or leave without helping them with their clothes. Now, where do you find that?! The washers and dryers are clean and good/decent price. The floors and bathrooms are clean, and the overral atmosphere is "great"! I finally met the owner, "Ron" about a month ago, and I see where the "atmosphere comes from. This educated, decent black man built this place 27 years ago. He services his own machines, and watches everybody and everything (with a smile), when he's around. He has a decent integrity about him that makes you wanna sit down and have conversation. Lamar and Sharon who work there are just as cool. Great place to wash, watch TV, and have good conversation.

I've been going there for years. Wonderful, Clean, and courteous attendants. Great Black owned laundromat. The owner is kind, funny, friendly. Good machines and helpful people. They always help you load/unload your car. Plus its very clean. UPDATE****** 7 years later From 5 stars To 2 stars Unfortunately it seems there’s new management because nothing is the way it use to be. First of all the place is filthy. Used to be spotless. There use to be men ( employees) who would help you with your laundry from the car and when you were done with the carts. That’s gone. Also, definitely doesn’t feel as safe as it once did. Will not be returning to this facility.

I don’t go to the laundromat often but whenever I do I always drive past many just to get here. My latest trip I noticed some differences which made me wonder if there were new owners. I wasn’t surprised to see this to be true. I’ve always preferred paying to dry because the dryers seems to work better than the free drying. I noticed the prices for free drying laundromats are higher to wash. So of course the washer prices were slightly raised. So far the place still seems clean. Some customers weren’t wearing their masks though, which was irritating. Overall, things wasn’t horrible but it’s not for me.

I’ve been going here for yeeeeaaaarss and I love it. I hear stories about someone shooting there in the past but I’ve never encountered such a thing. I’ve been satisfied with my results there besides seeing a NICE SIZE ROACH going towards my folded clothes last night. DON’T LAUGH but I was EXTREMELY afraid… I DIDN’T let it defeat me tho… I stood up to IT, and knocked it down.!!!! I never in my life had to touch a roach I hope the owner reads this and exterminates expeditiously.!!!

I started coming to braid laundromat when I was 15 years old now I'm 44 years old. It use to be a very clean laundromat with great machines, but I guess the owner ( who is a very nice senior) has just let it go. The chairs are broken it could use a real remodeling job. I went for the last time 3weeks ago and it smelled like sewer. Sad to see a good business in a great location go to poop!

I came to this laundromat based off the previous reviews and I must say I'm impressed! The people here are extra friendly and meet you at your car and unload your bags for you as well as take them to the machine of your choice. It is very clean inside and the service overall is awesome! I would have never expected to receive such great customer service at a laundromat. :-)

I come in to wash and 90 of their large washing machines are out of service. There are no signs on them so I wasted laundry detergent and fabric freshener in one machine. And no I have to sit and wait until one of my loads are done to put my last load of clothes in the wash, which means I will be here a lot longer that I need to be. This very disappointing.

Clean, spacious. Plenty of machines to use for plenty of customers. This laundromat has long business hours so you can pretty much go whenever it best suits your schedule. Various machine loads are also a plus. I come and go with an ease. Bus stops very near for those who ride public transportation.

This is the second sunday in March 2021 that i arrived at 5am and the Laundrymate not open on time....I'm waiting pass 5:20am and still not open. If the start time is going to be whatever time they get there then i will find another Laundrymate. Plus there is no one to complain too....

Came here to wash my clothes (its been awhile since my last vist.) everything was great until it was time to retrieve my clothes from washer . door wouldn't open no one on premise could open it , so i had to leave my clothes overnight because the owner wasn't reachable.(W.T.F)

No matter where you work, have some respect for yourself and your attire.Every step the guy sweeping took he had to pull up his pants. Need liquid soap at both sinks and paper towels please remove the broken chairs. The television is always on black on black crime or Apollo.

The attendants are very courteous and they assist you with achieving your goals with your laundry. The laundromat is very large and spacious. They have various sizes in their machines to accommodate your laundry needs. The customers are respectful to each other.

This laundromat is a little out of the way for me, but well worth the trip because a friendly staff person came out an assisted with getting my laundry inside and when I was done, took them out and put them in my car. The added bonus was free dryers!

Oh I miss the previous owner Ron. However the new owners are doing a good job. With all the improvements they need to purchase new seating. Those chairs have been there since the 70's. And I wish they would turn the heat in the dryers back up also.

It's maintained by helpful staff. The place could use more cleaning the patrons should do their part as well when you drop something pick it up. The washers do a good job. The dryers which are our favorite word FREE when you wash otherwise $2.00.

I go here quite often. The place is very clean. The attendants help bring your laundry in and help take it out to your car. Laundry fees are reasonable. Attendants are constantly sweeping, wiping down machines and seeing if you need help.

Better quality then under previous ownership. New washer & Dryers but of course that comes with bigger prices. Only let down they use to have guys to help the ladies with their bags in & out.. Guessibg that over now.. especially in COVID

There's a new owner, and it is not like it was when Ron owned it. He sold it, and it was still good then he sold it, and I don't even go there anymore. It's not clean. Dust balls are on the floor, and the chairs are dirty.

I have patronize this laundromat for more than 4yrs. I was there today and it was hot and uncomfortable for me. The floors are not as clean and I may need to find a new place to do my laundry in the future.

It's a big place enough room to wash the only problem I have with this place it's dirty and the sink is nasty as heck.I just stop going I hate that because it a nice place to wash.just need to clean more..

This place is wonderful you can wash a double load of clothes for $3.50 triple load of clothes for $4.50 mega load they have machines that go up to $9.50 and you can dry all these clothes for FREE WOW

This place is cool to wash the lady ask u do u need to use a bigger washer for ur clothes then ask when they finish to let her no so the next customer can use it so very helpful good job I'll be back

I like it cuz you get in and you get out if not watch this there's enough dryers I never had a problem and the staff are very welcome David help you with your bags from your car ladies helping hands

Good place it was not packed today so there was a park available for use. The machine need a run on wash of apple cider vinegar to kill the mole spores. Other than that it was a good experience.

Horrible..... black mold in the washer fabric softener compartment NO AIR CONDITIONING first and last never again this is why introverts stick to routine should've never listened to my brother

Ive been going to this laundrymat for over a decade, and most of the time staff is friendly & helpful. If you come on a Saturday or Sunday come early before it gets too crowded.

Very clean. The attendants are very helpful and respectful. Dryers and washing machines work very well. Me and my wife will be going here until we move to another area.

I used the drop off wash and fold for about a year with no problems. Then one day they gave my clothes away to a complete stranger. The owner did not compensate me.

The staff is super helpful. The gentleman come out to your car to assist you whether you need it or not. They really look out for the customers, especially ladies.

I've been going there for years but the machines are old and need fixing all the time, but sometimes the old is better. Overall, your clothes come out very clean.

Washing is ok but needs to be free dry, the owner said it's 25cents for 8 minutes.. It's a rip off I won't come back plus it's old machines.

Opens at 5am which is an awesome way to avoid a crowd while washing. The early bird definitely can catch a worm here early mornimgs.

I have been going to this laundromat for years I was clothes weekly. You can dry free as well I used 2 $5.50 machines and 5 dryers.
