Do not buy a second hand bike here. I bought a bike for €140 a month ago. The man told me I could bring it back within 30 days for a full refund. The back tire went flat on the way home from the shop, so I got the tires and tubes replaced at another local bike shop. A few days later, the back tire went flat again. I brought the bike back to Sydney cycles asking for a refund, to which I was told that there is no such thing as a refund policy there and they wouldn’t take the bike back. They told me the other bike shop must have done it wrong, and promised they would fix the bike. I told them there was something wrong with the back wheel that was popping the tire. They replaced the tube and assured me that the back wheel was fine. A few days later, the back tire tube popped again, and I am now out €200 with a non-working bike following three separate visits to this shop. Please patron anywhere else. Update: After a spoke flew off the back of my bike while I was riding, another bike shop was able to help me and showed that all of the spokes on the wheel were rusted out. Since the wheel has a hub gear, it’s more expensive to replace than the price I paid for the bike. I reiterate, please don’t come here.

I left my bicycle to fix, they removed the support from my basket and when I picked it up I did not notice. When I came back to fix it, they treated me badly, insulted me, threatened me and violently closed the door in my face. The only thing that presided was to find a solution together. I went to a car mechanic, I explained what had happened to me and in 5 minutes he fixed me a support so I can use the basket. They just needed to hear me and try together to find a solution, instead I found a horrible experience that I do not recommend to anyone. - Do you deny it instead of apologizing? You are definitely not a serious company. I took pictures when one of them, the most violent, although not the only one, beat me with a bicycle for not wanting to leave, asking us to look for a solution together. Another young man, skinny, also treated me very badly, lacking respect. There was only one, the one with the Asian face who tried to help me even though the rest told him not to answer me and keep working. Hopefully this will help you not to mistreat a woman again because you are bigger and stronger, sexist.

I happened to get a puncture when I was out working and Sydney Cycles was the closest bike shop to me at the time so I went In and I asked the bike mechanic if he could give me a new tube and I can pay him when I can and Scott had no problem doing it for me, he also gave me a new tire which was needed as it was my 5th puncture in about a week soon after I got another puncture this time on the front wheel and I rang them up and he said I can come In and they will sort out the front wheel with a new tube.. I’m sure this is a once off but was really happy that they did that for me. Friendly and professional service and really get the feeling that they look after you I really enjoyed the service and You just can’t fault Sydney Cycles the service was quick too so I’d definitely recommend the Sydney Cycles.

I brought a second hand bike from here. Good collection of secondhand bikes. But there was some problem with the brakes after few weeks. (Hub brakes, so didn't knw the condition for them or me while buying. It's solved now). So after having an appointment with the mechanic, he told me brake pads need to be changed and it costs €45 for single brake. It was a communication gap between me, the mechanic and the boy at the reception. And the issue got solved now. Thank you. I didn't wanted to write negative review. Sorry. The mechanic wass too good and pointed the problem just by riding and checking the bike. Service is very good too.

They are very unprofessional. Full service in this store is only €25 but nobody even touch the bicycle. Everything on bicycle was same like I left there. I tested the screws, brakes, tires, chain, pedals etc. after service but everything was same like before. Just wasted money and time!!! EDIT for MANAGEMENT: Maybe you should organize some training for your employees. They probably don't know about any bronze service. They said full service €25. But anyway still nobody even touch the bicycle how I said before. Thanks and have a nice day.

Don't bother going to this shop. Bought a bike for €140 a week ago that they said is as good as new, just with an old frame but I have already brought the bike in multiple times for repairs and it's only been a week! Just today after I brought it in, the back wheel came loose while I was driving home. Thankfully, I was going slow at the time so I didn't fall and bust my head open. Their whole game is basically to sucker you into buying a bike that they say is good as new but in reality is a death trap. Once you pay that's it, no refunds.

I had my bike serviced there last year. Staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately today, I came in to get a few things done but the man who was there, was so unhelpful and unfriendly to completely unprofessional. It was like I was bothering him (and I understand he might be busy) but his behaviour was so unhelpful, unfriendly and uncaring. Got so annoyed, I didn't even want to explain the problems! Took my bike somewhere else!!!

I was fresh from the US on my way to study at Trinity. After getting an apartment about a 25 minute walk from TCD, I knew I needed a bike. After checking around at a few secondhand shops, Sydney Cycles was the dream! They made sure I found the right bike for me and worked with me to make sure I could fit it in my little apartment. This is the only place you need to look when getting a bike in Dublin!

I remember purchasing my bike on the "cycle to work scheme." By god, the guys were great there. They took note of my age and bike experience and asked all the questions i didn't even know. A perfect cycle was selected for me, and I tried it on the street. They took care of the paperwork for my company, and the rest is history. Will go back again when I need a new bike ... cheers

This time I´ve managed to assemble a exercise bike pedal bar wrongly but couldn´t fix it. Took to the shop and the guys solved in 5 seconds for only 5 euros! thanx again lads! It's about 2k from my office to Sydney Cycles and I can confirm that this feels longer when you carrying a broken bike on your shoulder. I arrived after closing time but they took pity on me, offered me a loan of a bike and took mine in for repairs. I've just collected it - very happy with the work and the price. Will definitely be back.

Dion and his mate were the most friendly and helpful people that I've ever met in a bike shop in Dublin. I've just bought a lovely bike and they helped me a lot with all my questions about my new baby. If you want to buy a good one, just come to them and asked it, they have plenty options and prices. Bought my new bike just this week with Carlo. He was very nice and helpful, gave me a week to decide if I will keep the bike or change it for another one and also a month guarantee for mechanical problems. I'm very happy with the purchase, the bike suits me just fine. I saw some other very good bikes with excellent prices.

Big kudos to these guys. Couldn't remove a finicky mountain bike wheel when I got a puncture. Guy in shop said to leave it with him and gave me a spare bike so I could get into work. Charged a tenner! I had the spare bike for 2 days. Unreal service. Well done lads! Will be sharing this story!

Staff is experienced but no expertise. I did Bronze servicing and after that day my bike troubled me a lot. May be the staff is new. Owner was friendly and good to talk to. After fixing they don't do test ride which they should do to avoid customers coming back.

Great guys. They still fixed my bike even though they were already closing up shop. Saved me a 60 minute walk home! Another time I would have been late for work and one of the guys lent me a bike while they fixed mine. That's great service. Highly recommended.

Picked up a great secondhand bike here earlier in the summer. Brought it back a few days later because I got a flat. They fixed it and tightened up a loose mudguard in just a few minutes. Nice guys - friendly and helpful - highly recommend.

They sold the bike that they sold me! I paid for a bike asking them to keep it until monday (it was Saturday). I came there on Monday (and I spent time and money for the dart) but the bike wasn't there anymore.

I got my hydraulic brakes contaminated during service but they didn't fix an issue. They tried to sell me brand new pair of brakes at a higher price. However, other place had fixed them. Very disappointing.
