Wonderful way to spend your Sunday if you are an machine lover.. They have model trains, RC cars and planes. The train tickets were so cheap. $ 3.00 per ride. My 8 y o is a train lover and we bought a $ 15.00 all day ticket to ride trains whole day. The volunteers were amazingly friendly and so kind. Explained every question I asked. Food at the cafe was sooo good too. There were home made sandwiches for $ 2.50 or something. Coffee was arnd $ 2.00 and when I said I wanted some extra ketch ups she said 1 packet is $ 0.30. I have never seen that anywhere else. We had two sandwhiches, two sausage rolls, a chiiled ice coffee and jello for $ 18.00. Many thanks again and I will defintely visit again.

What can one say about the Sydney Society of Model Engineers? I went on the recent Open Day (which I believe was the first for a long time due to the dreaded Covid), and it was great fun, albeit a bit nerdy (well, a lot nerdy). But very well worth the visit for $10 per car. All of the displays were interesting to watch - my favourite was the "Large Scale Offroad" cars - some thrills and spills there! Also there was a guy who was flying very large model aeroplanes - certainly seems to be a lot of skill involved. There is pretty much something for everyone, you won't be disappointed, and it's not just for the kids.

A great place to spend some time and appreciate the skills and dedication of the members. We got there early and unfortunately had to leave early due to our schedule. The people flying the remote control planes were amazingly skilled, I could of watched that all day long. We rode the trains, which has a deceptively long track. Great experience for 3 bucks. All the people displaying were friendly and willing to explain anything to you if you asked. A great day put especially if you have kids S

It's still just as much fun as it was 30 years ago! If you or your kids love RC boats, cars, planes and trains, you'll love this place. The kids can drive the trains on the train set, drive the slot cars and ride the steam trains that are real working scale models!! The steam train rides are the best.

Great outing for those interested in all types of model cars, planes, boats and trains. Very knowledgeable friendly volunteers on hand for your questions. Open to the public last Sunday of the month for a bargain $20 per car. Suitable for adults and kids Take a picnic lunch covered tables provided

Great for all ages. Everything from model planes, tethered cars and planes, remote control cars, boats, and planes all made by engineers and the main attraction the trains with scenic rides on small gauge tracks. Come see the vintage cars and have a picnic with the family with seating areas

People with real passion and love for Engineering and their hobbies. We really loved all the amazing models and were amazed by their speed and abilities. There is also a little area for little ones and delicious food available. The model train ride is a must see.

There are scale RC offroad cars racing and there are RC planes to watch and speed boats and mini trains you can ride on , there are picnic tables around and a canteen . There is even a indoor Slot car track where you can hire cars and race around the track .

Not off to a good start. Spent time and money to get there on Sunday 30th August (designated open day), only to find it closed to public due to coronavirus. Would be an idea if management posted that on their web site. Very disappointed!
