It’s unfortunate that there aren’t other options around the stadium and arena. This is the only one close by, so we took a chance after a long six hour drive before the show. The floors are so sticky from spilled beer. Our shoes remained sticky everywhere we went due to being in that “restaurant” for 35 minutes. Their system for ordering is very inefficient. People are standing in a narrow doorway to order and that’s also the only way to get out after getting self-served drinks and condiments. Random foul smells would waft through. The bathrooms were more disgusting than the food. This may be a great bar for people half out of their minds who don’t care what they’re eating or the cleanliness of a food preparation place, but it’s not recommended. Drive the distance to find edible food. The fryer oil was so old it was all you could taste and the burgers were definitely the worst we’ve ever had. Follow up from owner’s response: The fact is we were NOT there for a sporting event. There were NO sporting events happening that day. To assume this and further justify the uncleanliness of a food service establishment speaks volumes about the management/ownership. We went to see a show at the arena and the bar was busy, but definitely not at full capacity. If you’re looking for food DEFINITELY go elsewhere or go hungry. If you want just booze—go here! Eleven stars!

This place (now known as That Bar At The Arena) is the best place for happy hour or pregaming events at EverBank Stadium, Daily's Place, VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena or 121 Financial Stadium. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the drinks are affordable. The atmosphere is like a dive bar, but with more space to get comfortable. You can also walk to all of the nearby venues with a drink in hand! Don't miss the boiled peanuts or other tasty menu items. PBR Tallboys are $4 and shots of Fireball are $5! Tell Debrah and Caitlin that Mindy sent you.

Prices to high, paid $13 for a cup of coca cola and a mixed drink the tacos (2) said pico de gallo but it was just fresh diced tomatoes and onion slices..no cilantro etc.Girl taking the order was rushing us to order and didn't offer drinks with the meal even tho we knew we'd have to pay almost $15 we came in out the rain hungry waiting for the show to start. First and last time going there. Burger was dry..no one was dressed in work attire, it looks like street clothes or lounging/night clothes...the response from the owner below how unprofessional! Poor tink tink I pray u heal

I only go when I'm there for a show or game. It has always been consistent. Same staff and the cook makes some really good food. The only thing I can complain about is the sides like the poppers not good. The fish tacos and pulled chicken sandwich are great . I really enjoy the micro wrestling. If you haven't been you should. One of the best shows on planet earth! It's a great family night kids will love it. Oh yes it's real wrestling! Don't try to say it's fake it's real. Just go see it for yourself you won't be disappointed.

most dry burger i have ever had the displeasure of eating. servers were disrespectful and commented on my hair which i am very self conscious of. they even had the audacity to spill water on my child and then yell at her saying something to the effect of "your dad has the ugliest hair i have ever seen... almost as ugly as you." while this may be true, it certainly did not need to be said. anyway, i would definitely eat here again, simply because the feng shui was simply perfect. have a mediocre day! ❤️‍

Went to have dinner in a few beers before jumbo shrimp game. Had the worst burger I had ever had in my life it was disgusting it tasted like rubber. It had obviously been pre-cooked then re-heated and chard on the grill when they melted the cheese on there was barely any left on it by the time I got to my table. Chicken wings were fair but absolutely the most disgusting burger I’ve ever had in my life.

Place is noisy & didn't seem to have a/c working on Saturday, 22JUL, about 1600 when we were there. Food was good. Order at a kiosk, pay, get a # to bring to table & food is delivered. Beverages are separate (order at bar, leave credit card & close out tab before leaving).

Tried this place because it was closest to Jumbo Shrimp stadium while we waited out the rain. Has a 4.3 rating so I thought to give it an honest try. That rating must be for environment and drinks. Not the food. Food was very bland and burnt. I would not recommend coming here for the food. Drinks, music, and a good time sure but not if you’re hungry.

It was my first time purchasing wings and fries here. The wings were fried so hard I couldn't eat them. It seemed as if the wings were old and were refried. I normally get the philly cheese steak, but I wanted to try the wings. The food is just okay; there's nothing to rave about.

Coke here all the time before the sharks and shrimps game and never noticed the whole other bar on the patio. Glad we found it because Bobby was amazing!! Will go to him everytime now

it's what you expect. Overcrowded on game days of course, and expensive. But when it's all you've got, it will do.

The burger was terrible tonight. The cheese was not melted and it was so overdone and almost burnt. The Philly was dry and the cheese wasn’t melted. We were there before the crowd so there was no reason for it to be bad. The drinks were good.

  • Joanna R.

Went in before a Jumbo shrimp game and had a blast there. My husband and I had some shots and a beer and it was extremely lively and set the mood for the perfect night. Will be arriving early to the games just to grab a cold one at this bar.

Food was not great. Or rather the wings were not great. The service...i frequent bars and understand being busy..but good servers/bartenders learn how to manage the chaos and provide solid service. Waited in line for far too long, watching

I would compare this place to one step above a cafeteria. Most of the food was fried. We ordered the chicken tenders, the mozzarella sticks and the cheeseburger. Everything seemed like it comes from a frozen box, not fresh. So food is

Great burger and fries! Not a fancy place, but worth a visit for drinks and much better than average bar food. The menu includes mainly burgers, sandwiches, tacos, subs and wings. We went there before a show at Jacksonville Veterans

Ate here on 9/18/22. Got here before the Jags game. Food was OK, kinda like stadium food but ¼ the price. Place was cool though, old town kind of thing. Nice stop on the way to the game. Will likely be back sometime.

Was quiet when we arrived but quickly filled up. Well staffed with great people. Thank you Johnny and crew at the bar. Also to the staff delivering food to the tables. Food was excellent and priced very fairly.

  • Michelle M Tucker

Super friendly staff. Food option was limited on the night of the concert. No food available after the show. Restrooms clean. Outdoor covered patio area. Lots of tables and seating. Gets crowded on event nights

  • F McGlown

Wings were okay not great! Nothing special about the queso either. Table service was lousy after spending $80 for VIP! Ha, don't so it! The band, The Katz Downstairz, was the only bright spot. Small venue

  • Joel McCabe

Music and pricing were acceptable. Food was fresh, delicious and timely. Lack of table service and unhelpful food cashier hurts. Maybe toast the burger buns? Drinks were tolerable, needs more smiles.

Post d Hours for Sundays are 10 am -2 am. Arrived at 12:45pm to find they were closed. Can’t believe they are closed on an NFL Sunday. Need to adjust your hours if closed on Sundays.

  • Steve Autry

Service was good. The mozzarella sticks and fries were good. The drinks were good. But the chicken fingers were cheap and processed and the chicken quesadilla had fat and cartilage.

This is our go-to place before any Jumbo Shrimp, Sharks or Icemen game. Great beer selection. Full bar, and a great cheesesteak.
