Have been here 3 times now, the most recent for my sons 3rd Birthday with his Aunt and cousins and sister. Always an amazing day out, yes it’s more costly than other childrens farms but if you’re going in Summer, you get the Splash Park which makes it worth it. Don’t think I’d pay those prices in Winter though, especially when mini golf, rides etc are extra. Also I must ask why the stuffed Guinea Pig is almost double the price of the other stuffed animals? It’s the smallest toy on offer but has the highest price tag? Lol my kids really wanted one but at $28 each it was way too much. Was also very hard to find any staff unless you went to the front kiosk or the cafe, my nieces hat flew off into the front paddock and my sister had to look for ages for someone to help (we’d just gotten there and it was very sunny and windy 28C so hat was definitely needed! Sad to not have pony rides there anymore too, was my kids fave part on previous visits but may have been a weather issue as it may have been too hot to work the ponies. Overall, as long as you bring your own food and drinks, the price is worth it…. On warm days (over 26 for splash park). Well worth the drive and the kids will definitely have a ball!! Our kids were ages 3 (just turned that week), 4, 8 and 9 and every one of them had the best day ever!

Visited The Big Goose over the school holidays as we usually do and on weekends. Always give it a 10/10. The staff are so friendly and fantastic with the animals. The animals are well looked after. My sons favourite part was the reptile show. The man who hosted the show who had a very well looked after beard was so knowledgeable and great with the animals and kids. He went into great depth about the reptiles. At the end of the show, people are able to come up closer to the reptiles and see them up close. They are allowed to touch them. The guy told the children when around them to not touch the heads of the animals as they can feel threatened, while they are handled all the time day in and day out they are still wild animals and can go into self defence mode if they feel threatened and for adults to always supervise your child. The tractor rides gives you a great view of the farm and is a novelty for the children. The sheep dog show is amazing to watch. its fascinating to watch dusty round them sheep up We are an annual membership holder and won't be giving it up any time soon. highly recommend visiting when down on the Mornington peninsula. Great to also support small local businesses

Poor value for money, animals look unhappy and uncared for. Cafe prices are absolutely through the roof. Selling Woolworths water for $3.50 a bottle. The guy that did the reptile show with the long beard thinks it’s funny to scare and pick on young kids. Reptile show was sad and the poor snake is hung by its tail and dangled above the audience for a look. At the end of the reptile show the whole audience is allowed to flock to a table to pat 2 poor lizards and a snake at once while the loser with the beard tells the kids from afar not to touch the head of a stumpy tailed lizard (? Just explained in the show that the head and tail are identical) and that he won’t take responsibility if the lizard bites the kids…. also that he will laugh if the snake bites them if they touch its head. I totally understand that the kids shouldn’t touch the snakes head. Rather than speaking to a 4 year old in such a manner maybe just make sure the animals are handled correctly and not being pet by 20 kids at once or even better find a job that doesn’t have to deal with kids instead of working in a farm for children. I am a local and I will not be back, funky farm way better value and much nicer staff.

The kids loved this place and the opportunities to feed the animals. The reptile show and the sheepdog show were fun to watch. The kids also loved the undercover playground. The prams had to be parked outside the cafe in the open air. Unfortunately, it was rainy the day we went there and it started pouring while we were having our lunch inside the cafe. As a result, the pram was soaked when we came out from the cafe. It would have been a better experience if there was some undercover space to park our pram. Towards the end of the day, my kids realised that they hadn't seen the animals in the barn and we rushed there about 15 minutes before the farm closes but was told by the staff that the barn was closed, which was fair enough. The kids wanted to play a little bit longer before the farm closes. About 10 minutes before the farm's closing time, a staff came and told us that we had to leave because they were going to shut the gate of the farm and our car would be trapped in the farm if we don't leave soon enough. Maybe that was an effective strategy to get people out of the farm but that left a bad taste in my mouth.

'The Big Goose' is a great dayout for the whole family! Well established zoo for the kids to experience farmlife. A little bigger than others in the S/E subs. The animals seem well cared for, lots of little and big animals for the kids. Well staffed jumping pillow is massive, tractor and pony rides and put alot of effort into the play areas that seem safe for all ages if supervised. Sheep dog show was good experience for the kids, can tell that they are putting in a good effort to expand. A small maze that i would feel safe to let the kids rome without worry. Pretty good Cafeteria if you choose not to bring your own picnic (and seems like they have an onsite lunchtruck when busy) and lots of eating areas. I hope 'The big goose' choose to expand as has alot of potential to be the best farm in Vic! I would say it is value for money (especally if you find the discounts via family app's) or buy a yearly pass. Worth a try but don't forget the sunscreen!

This place has drastically deteriorated in the past few years. You are greeted by 2 of the sadest looking donkeys wondering a weed infestated enclosure followed by another sad enclosure with alpacas & lamas. A baby calf had been shoved into another enclosure with an aggressive goat without its mother. The "petting" area only had guinea pigs. Rabbits were scared to move. Where have the baby ducks or chickens gone...... even a lamb was available in the past for petting. Terrible. The half hasted playground was 1 loose rope away from collapsing - the toys looks like they had been scavenged off local tips or hard rubbish collections. Generally the place was sad, tired, & in desperate need of a huge cash injection from the owners. Best part was the free (average) coffee and the tractor ride, despite only having a very small number of animals....if you like geese roaming around honking, this is you place for fun.... Very overpriced for what's on offer.

We had a phenomenal day here! My 15 month old daughter had a blast and was able to get up close to rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, deer, kangaroos, camels, goats, ponies, emus and ostriches. There is a splash area for warm days, huge jumping pillow, tyre obstacle course and play park for older kids. Plenty of picnic tables or spaces on grass for lunch and there's a food van if you need to buy a quick bite to eat. The farm was very neat and tidy and staff were helpful and kind. There were change table facilities and they even had proper thick toilet roll in the toilets! It is easy to push a pram around on a dry day although gravel paths are a bit bumpy obviously. You can also fit your pram into the petting areas so you don't have to leave it behind. We went on a Wednesday so that is obviously off-peak as not school holidays and it was lovely and quiet. I really cannot rate this place any higher and would definitely come back.

My family and I attended today taking my grandson for a day out and husband who was in a wheelchair chair with stage 4 cancer ! In one of the petting areas we came across a dead baby sheep covered in flies and another close to death These animals were extremely dehydrated. The enclosure had NO WATER at all or any form of a container to hold water ! My family started feeding water from our own water bottles to the sheep that was barely alive left in the enclosure . Another family member ran for help .it took her over 10 minutes to find someone to assist . What does our entry fee go to when clearly they can’t even supply their animals water ?? It isn’t very wheelchair friendly . After the trauma that the fly covered sheep gave my grandson . We ended up leaving without seeing the rest of the establishment. Absolutely disgusted. If they can’t properly look after their animals they shouldn’t be running a place like this .

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Big Goose Farm, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. One of the highlights for me was handfeeding the animals, which was a unique and interactive way to interact with them. The tractor ride was also a lot of fun, providing a great opportunity to see the farm and its inhabitants from a different perspective. I was also impressed with the reptile show, which featured a variety of fascinating creatures that I had never seen before. The presenter was knowledgeable and engaging, making it a great educational experience. Finally, the Easter special egg hunt was a fantastic way to cap off the visit. It was well-organized and provided a lot of excitement for both children and adults alike. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the Big Goose Farm for anyone looking for a fun and memorable day out.

I took my 6 year old grandson to the Big Goose today. He had been before but this was my first time visiting this wonderful country tourist attraction. I think I enjoyed myself more than my grandson! We fed the animals, laughed at the funny geese chasing each other around, traversed the maze, climbed around in the pirate ship, dug in the sandpit and did many other things. The day was completed by two large scoops of ice cream in the Cafe. I highly recommend this place as a very family friendly attraction where there is something of interest for all ages. The animals are beautiful, and being able to hand feed them was a treasured experience. I would sum up my experience by saying Fun, Fun, Fun!!

Excellent staff who are kind, friendly and great with kids. We were welcomed by a dancing staff member who directed us to a spot to park. Lachlan of the Reptile Show was a great entertainer and super knowledgeable about lizards and pythons. The staff managing the Easter egg hunt were full of smiles and friendly! My kids loved the Golden Easter Egg hunt and spend a long time looking for the last golden egg. The staff were very encouraging when they knew my kids had put in a lot of effort to find the eggs and rewarded them for their efforts. Well organised and spacious area with lots of things for kids to do. Thanks for making our visit a memorable one! We will definitely be back. :)

FANTASTIC! Would give 4.5 stars if I could. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the rediculous prices at the cafe. $24.95 for a single serve of fish and chips. $8 for a pie, add $4 for chips. But the attractions were amazing! Animals look very well cared for in big pens. The staff were very welcoming, knowledgeable, inclusive and helpful. There is 3-4 playgrounds. 2 mazes, tractor rides, mini golf, baby animals, opportunities to feed the animals and regular shows. Lots of shaded/undercover areas to picnic. Lots of pram parking opportunities. Toilets were centrally located and while a bit rustic perfectly serviceable. We're a family of 5 and had a brilliant time

What an awesome day out it turned out to be. Initially i thought it will not be wort 64$ for the family ticket afterall its just a farm.. But once we got there, started with the barn animals it just got better... The interaction with barn animals was really close, then we had the reptile show where kids held the snakes and lizards, then the adventure playground then bigger animals, tractor ride, wild life park, tyres maze, the REAL maze, jumping pillow and in the end the tractor ride... There is also mini golf there... All in all it was really worth it... They have a little cafe... And one of my kids fell n needed first aid n staff was really helpful in that...

We came here on Easter Monday and did charge a bit extra because of that. It's about 45 min from Melbourne, a nice animal farm to bring your kids to. We came with our two and a half years old toddler and he had a great time. I was expecting to see some more animals at the farm from what they have there now. There's a nice playground for the kids, our son could have spent the all day over there. The tractor ride was very short and simple and we didn't actually get to see many animals during the ride. The reptile and sheep dog shows were nice. There's a coffee shop and a "food truck" on site for your coffee and food needs. All in all it was a nice visit.

  • Tulay D

We had so much fun today. All the kids enjoyed the farm and it has so much to offer. We saw a reptile show, fed the animals, walked through the maze, took photos with the wildlife, played mini golf, went on a tractor ride and had coffee at the Cafe. The kids played on all of the outdoor play areas, they enjoyed it all! This placed is definitely worth the visit. Awesome hidden gem, we will be back for sure! People are leaving comments about the high ticket prices, once you take into consideration the cost of animal feed and maintenance I think it's reasonable. There is so much to do and see here! Thank you for your hospitality.

  • Naomi Joshan

It was a great day out. The weather was perfect and the sun was up. We all arrived there around 10:30am which I highly recommend as you can follow the different shows on and good parking. From the gate the staff were friendly. It is definitely value for money and enough places to sit and have lunch. The tractor ride was fun as you get to see the whole farm and the new little arrivals to the place. The reptile show was entertaining. The little goats, the Guinea pigs, kangaroos all the animals were great and little hidden secrets along the way. The staff were very informative and friendly great job guys will be coming back again.

  • Carine O

Came here with a 1.5 yo, 3.5 yo, 5 yo and 7 yo. All kids had an amazing time. We fed lots of animals, saw all the shows. The reptile show with Luke was great and interactive (shame that you can no longer have the snakes draped on you - but you can still touch them). We had a mix of our own food and the canteen food and the canteen food was really good and well priced. If you need to warm your own food they have a microwave which is a nice touch. The big kids playground and the water area is shaded which is appreciated on a hot day. You can definitely spend the whole day here so it is for sure value for money. Will be back!

Don't waste your money here! A single person's entry costs $31 ($28 concession). Only for geese lovers. Variety of animals are so few. Petting only for guinea pigs. Camels are out of bounds to the public. No ducks, sheeps, horses, pigs, cows, birds or peacocks. Fee should be reduced after 2pm as there were no activities or shows on. The entrance to native Australian enclosure was locked at 3pm. Go to Myuna farm instead. Costs less than a third of the price and has all the above animals up close and available to pet.

  • Shaun Browne

If you've visited other farm parks before I can confidently say that The big goose will be at the top of your list once you visit. A fun place for the whole family. The tractor ride, pony ride, the barn with all the little animals to hold, the playground, the jumping pillow, sheep show, and my sons favorite the reptile show where you get to hold lizards and snakes. The price reflects how well this farm is kept. The food is a reasonable price and is of good quality. Would highly recommend a visit.

  • Steven Smith

A great experience for kids and adults alike. Get close to farm (and some slightly more exotic) animals and take in the fresh air. Free tractor rides are included with the entry fee, where you can get an overview of the whole farm. There's a reptile show, a sheep dog herding demonstration and a barn where you can see and pat some baby animals. There's a cafe for refueling and a variety of playgrounds to keep kids of all ages busy and active. Highly recommended for young families.

  • Nicholas

My 5 year old went here on a Kinder excursion and had an awesome time. He loved the interaction with the animals, from feeding, holding and chasing them about. Definitely wear gumboots on wet days and check their boots before you get back into your vehicle haha. Luckily we have a good SUV because we did find the entrance in and out to be quite a rough road. The prices are reasonable and we are thinking about getting a yearly pass!

  • C O

Such a pleasant place to take the family, particularly primary (and younger) aged kids. The animals seem happy and not to mind the visitors, the staff were friendly, the talks entertaing, good vibes all round. We got there at around 10am with two 9yos, plenty to see, big spacious site with plenty of picnic tables, and we didn't leave til 2.30pm. Good play areas which seemed basic but actually, the kids loved. Nice cafe.

  • Rach

So much fun. We were really surprised by how good our day was here. We had 2 kids under 5yo and they had a blast from feeding animals, to holding Guinea pig, to the sheep dog show and then the reptile show. Wonderful day. The reptiles show guy was hilarious with his one lines and jokes said with such a straight laced face. Fun for the adults and the kids. The splash park was a great end to the day

  • Nicole Johnstone

We loved our visit! You are able to see the animals up close which was perfect for our toddler. He especially loved feeding the kangaroos and wallabies by hand in the open enclosure and seeing the wombats up close during feeding time. The tractor ride is free and was good fun. There’s also a number of play grounds scattered through the property which we enjoyed. We’d recommend to anyone!

  • Sandeep Parekh

A bit far from North Melbourne but worth the trip. My son had a really good time. All the animals seem happy and the enclosures are spacious. The tractor ride is included in the ticket price. You have to separately buy pony ride and mini golf entry both of which are 5 dollars each. You can expect to spend around 3 to 4 hours here. Staff are friendly and helpful.

  • Deepu A Mani

Nice big farm. Lots of animals. The reptile show was really good. Upfront experience for the kids. Huge area, be ready to walk. There is free tractor ride. Pigs, cows, donkeys, emus, lamas, alpacas, sheep, goat, deer, kangaroos, horses Camels, Guinea pigs, wombats, dingoes, birds, goose, snakes, reptiles, rabbits, and many more.

  • Michelle Grech

Good value for money. Took my two boys. Lots of different things to do from animal feeding, reptile show, tractor ride, mini golf and playground equipment. Small cafe with hot food and ice cream available. We spent about 3 hours there. I would recommend the Big Goose to younger kids say 7 and under.

  • Simon Sullivan

Good sheep dog show for kids. The barn is good for seeing and petting small animals. Not much else to do though as the outside pens didn't have much going on. Jan 2020 update: Big improvements at The Big Goose. Added a few new features; a new Cafe, a water play, and lots more shaded picnic benches.

  • Darwis Azlina

Wonderful place for kids and adults to have close encounter with the animals. The staff are helpful and friendly. Nothing like this in our own country. Many things to do at this place. You MUST purchase animal food from the cafe as it is such a wonderful experience to feed the animals.

  • Chloe Pimlott

Have come a couple of times before and it seemed great, came again and was amazed how quickly it had gone downhill. We heard one staff memeber speak to a child so poorly we left. Run down play area, mediocre Cafe, unsafe practices with reptiles and sad looking animals, we won't be returning.

  • Stephanie T

We love TBG but first time we have hired the party shed. Huge space, has lots of tables and seating, oven, fridge, sink and we were even greeted by staff at the gate to see if we needed a trolley to get our party supplies in! Kids loved the mini golf, playground and feeding the animals.

  • Lee Marshie

We had an absolutely great day here. The staff are friendly, lots of animals, and highly recommend the Reptile Show. Our daughters day was made when one of the staff gave her some peacock and pheasant feathers he collected after cleaning the pen. Thank you guys. We'll be back!

  • Samuel Burmeister

Amazing spot for families, kids and animal lovers. Hands on experience with a variety of animals like ostriches, emus, kangaroos, geese, rabbits, Guinea pigs and goats... you can hand feed the animals and lots of room for you to byo picnic, highly recommend.

  • Cheryl Neville

Amazing farm for the kids to interact with the animals. The staff are all really helpful with guests and take great care of the animals, lots of beautiful grounds for the animals to roam. Several different play areas for kids, would be great for a party!

  • Deanna A

My colleague and I chose The Big Goose for a school excursion and we took two classes of 5-6 year olds last week. We were blown away with the educational content and the amazing lessons the staff were running. They were able to cater to our

Great place for the entire family with plenty of attractions, animals and interactive activities including a play area & mini golf. My only constructive comment would be to lower the price of admission for kids over 2yrs as I found it too

  • Zoe Stanton

The Big Goose was an awesome way to entertain lively 4 and 5 year olds. From the playground to animal feeding and tractor rides everything was easy to navigate. The pumpkin soup at the cafe was delicious too! All the staff were fantastic

We have been a few times to The Big Goose and went again today, the grounds are so beautiful to walk around, all the animals are well cared for and the whole place is very interactive with lots to do! There is also the wonderful play

  • Kevin Hunter

As others have mentioned, great place to take your children. My 4 year old and 18 month old daughters loved it. Playground is great and my eldest daughter absolutely loved her pony ride. If you have young kids, well worth a visit.

  • Nat

Really impressed with this farm. My three year old loved feeding and patting the animals. The playgrounds are spacious and fun. Excellent food at the Cafe and really friendly staff. Looking forward to returning in the near future!

  • J Ong

Visited during a holiday two weeks ago. Fantastic experience for family members especially kids who have not seen wallabies or farm animals close up. There is also a fantastic indoor playground and a small water park.

  • Matt Clunes

Won't be rushing back there. Not many animals to interact with. I think a petting zoo has way more animals for the kids then what was there. My son loved the diggers but the aim to go there was for the animals.

  • Neil S

Great day out for the family. The geese are loud, the goats are friendly and the lizards cool! Plenty to see and do with knowledgeable and very friendly staff. A cafe with coffee and food, too!!!

  • Sophie N

We absolutely love coming here and bought the season's pass. Generally stay around 3 hours and there's still so much more to do. I love the diversity of animals and how friendly the staff are.

  • Farhan Badruddin

Fun place for kids. The walking track is unsealed therefore take gum boots on wet day. There is room for improvement in dining area and toilet especially hygiene. Overall excellent experience.

  • Jarrad McGennisken

We arrived early on a Monday public holiday and spent the better part of 6 hours here with the kids, whilst they burned themselves out having a great time. We'll be back some other time.

What a hidden gem! So many animals to see, free to walk amongst them and feed them, great play ground too. The staff are lovely and on top of covid cleaning. Such a lovely day out!
