They moved to a new location and it's way better than the last one! Very nice and open atmosphere and more spots to sit down. I thought the food selection was going to be bigger because of the location but it's about the same as before. The food is really good. The bread was fresh and warm and this is a great option for a buffet. More

We were the first ones there when they opened and it took an hour for our entrees to come out. Biryani lacked veg, was severely oversalted, a bit oily, only came with a bit of lamb, and was overpriced for what was essentially just salty rice. Chicken cashmere was tasty. Server was ok but not the friendliest and seemed rushed. More

Beautiful atmosphere at the new location! The food is always amazing and the staff is super attentive. So happy to have them a little closer to home now. Would love to see pakora on the buffet more often because it's so good! The price is also super reasonable compared to other Indian buffets in Nashville, which is awesome. More

Food is always so good here. I love their new location although their old location was cozier, this place seems more upscale. The food is always good! Service is pretty good...our waiter this time seemed to want to get us out as fast as possible even though the restaurant wasn't super busy. All in all, a pretty nice visit. More

Only go here if you’re ready to become a regular—because you’ll want to keep going back. This unassuming place is a chef’s kiss! We aren’t very familiar with Indian cuisine, so we asked our waiter for recommendations… he delivered!! The food was absolutely incredible and the staff was welcoming and attentive. More

Excellent flavor! Perfectly spiced, if you are sensitive to spicy foods, this might not be the best place for you. Authentic, delicious, and service was very friendly. I will definitely be back again. Highly recommend the veggie samosas, Dahl mahkani, paneer masala, and naan bread. More

The food tasted fresh and tasty. A lot of options available for buffet with medium hot spicy level. A young lady managing table for us was very nice with the customers. She did great job managing table for 9 of us. One of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in the US. More

Used to come here for lunch buffet with work friends. Like coming here for a sit down dinner. Papadum came out first to snack on along with accompanied sauces to dip. Ordered the tandoori eggplant, it was the best thing we got this day. My son loves the butter chicken. More

This was our first time dining here and we came in when they were serving their lunch buffet. They had quite a large array of selections, everything was hot, and they kept bringing out fresh food to replenish the buffet. We really enjoyed everything we ate. More

I come here every few weeks and it just doesn’t get old! it’ll NEVER let you down i recommend the chicken tikka masala! so authentic! the fresh naan has to be my favorite though! also don’t forgot the samosas, they’re spicy and fantastic. More

The food is delicious! I had the Lamb Korma and veggie samosas, got some fresh garlic naan to go with it. The rice is probably my favorite part, so perfectly fluffy, but I loved everything! The flavors, the portions, I’m glad I tried Taj. More

The BEST Indian food in the City! Expense wise it's mid to high range but worth every penny. You can spend between $20-$100 depending on how big you want to go out on the meal whether your feeding just yourself or the whole family. Lunch is

My wife was having a hard time deciding between a couple of dishes. When she asked the waiter to make a recommendation, he said she should get something she hadn't been considering. She was a little nervous but decided to try something new.

Looking for good Indian food found this place. Would I recommend yes and no? I can start with the cons. Waiting to be seated seems a bit of a wait. They don’t have anyone at the front to sit you like other restaurants (or maybe they do, and

A group of us ordered a variety of entrees as well as samosa chaat and other appetizers, & a basket of naan. All of the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Great customer service and nice atmosphere. We will be back for more! More

Been eating at Taj for years, one of my go to places when I'm super hungry and in the area. The food is excellent, my only regret is that I often eat too much since it's so delicious. They are always super nice and the service is great. I

This was my wedding party last year in August 2020 (pandemic). The restaurant was very accommodating even though we had no reservations. The service was phenomenal, they had patience with us because we were unfamiliar with Indian cuisine.

Check out the beautiful new location. Restaurants usually lose their charm when they upgrade their space, but this one has such fabulous food, and they have really done a beautiful job decorating. Still the best Indian cuisine in town More

Last night we went there almost 60 international students while coming from Baltimore. We called and reserved in the afternoon. We saw the good rating and chose it. They also considered us some discount as we were a huge number of people.

I honestly will never recommend going back here again me and my friend were seated way in the back in-between the bathroom and kitchen, and when we asked to move to a table that was literally two steps away our server said that the cooks

A buddy and I went for a late dinner, and everything was great. The dishes that everything was served in was a cool style. Including the cups, flatware, and pitcher. Got the chicken korma medium. Flavor was great, tender chicken, lots of

Overall really good experience and very tasty food. I cannot speak for ordering from the menu, but I can vouch for the buffet. Several vegetarian and meat choices available, including a dessert selection. They do have a bar and the local

I will start with the manager's treatment, with the blue shirt,oh my God,he is so rude,,He forced us to sit at a table in an uncomfortable place, What is this? I have never seen anything like this in my life. and it seems that he is not

If I could give this restaurant a zero I would. Unprofessional and rude manager. I placed and paid for an order online. When I went to pick up my order, the manager said the order was ready but that I had not paid online for the order. I

I have ordered tandoori mix from this restaurant and I got my food after waiting for an hour and I never eat this kind of tandoori in my life. Lot of food color and the food was not cooked and taste was so bad. I suggest you guys if you

I ABSOLUTELY love this place. I just went the other day and was blown away by the delicious food. My grandmother and husband had the lamb Tikka, and I had chicken Tikka. We just moved to the area not too long ago, and are always on the

Disappointing experience. Very disorganized, service is sub-par, and food is ok. Ambience is good and the utensils are new. They need to do a better job with the service and be attentive to and responsive to the needs of the customers.

  • Country Girl

The food was decent but not authentic at all. Also the buffet didn't have many choices unless you like rice! The buffet was not stocked, then when they stocked it, the staff said last call for buffet. The restaurant is very clean. But

This place is totally underrated. Easily one of Nashville's top Indian restaurants, if not the top. Rich menu, very delicious and runs a bit spicy (even the Mild). The Coconut Soup (on the sweeter side) is fantastic and the Vegetable

We had a birthday party for 30 guests at Taj recently. The food, service, atmosphere everything was a 10 out of 5. They were so easy to work with in planning our party, and the execution was flawless. Even with serving that many

Nowhere near as good as the old location. Primarily because new kitchen/size. The goat was literally cold when given to us. The chicken tikka was flavorless despite asking for hot. Only the mehti melai came out good. More

Been going for buffets for a while, Taste has gone downhill compared to before. Food with meat like biryani and tandoori are flavorless. However vegetarian dishes are decent. Place is clean and staff is responsive. More

Had a delicious Indian meal at Taj Indian. I had Goat Saagwaia, Flora Hoff had Goat Vindaioo and Katrina Hoff had Hariyali Chicken. Chicken Pakora and Papadam with Chutney. Carrot pudding for dessert.

One of the best parts about relocating is trying out all the local restaurants in the area until you find your favorites . But the best part really comes when you find that spot on the first try.

Amazing food and service. Lamb Chops are insanely good (that's what's in the picture). I've tried several other dishes and never been disappointed. Best Indian cuisine I've ate at so far in TN.

Our favorite place for over a decade, always a treat. Flavors are excellent. Staff is wonderful-friendly, attentive, willing to help navigate the menu. Love the new site, it's beautiful. More

We arrived when they opened at 5:02 pm on a Saturday. We waited 25 minutes for them to take our drink order. Our food did not arrive until we had been at the restaurant for an hour.

If this isn’t the best Indian food in Nashville I don’t know what is. Bursting with flavor at each and every bite.

Went for take out last week and dined in this week. Shabby chic interior with delicious odors wafting everywhere.
