This is possiblly one of the worst business of any kind I've ever had the misfortune to have had to use. The place is dirty, the fule isn't all that cheap, every time I fill up the fuel seems to run out faster than anywhere else, and half the pumps don't work! If this wasn't bad enough they hardly ever actually have anything in stock, and worst of all the staff are unbelievably rude. On one occasion, having spent nearly 20 minutes trying unsuccessfully to find a working pump, only to have someone else pull into the other availible space. I was then singled out, without even the courtesy of an explanation, and told in a very loud and obnoxious manner that I would have to pay upfront. Not only that, but having already paid I was then told I would need to go back to "verify my purchase". Never again! I would frankly rather drive slightly further than believe the obvious local myth that they are cheap, to a filling station that actually values its customers!

I drove to the Harvest petrol station today and was confronted with a sign to the effect of "Gone for a break - back in 5 minutes". The door was locked and petrol could not be bought. The attendant decided to return 20 minutes later by which time the forecourt was packed and the queue has spilled over onto the main road. The attendant didn't say a word and had a surly look as if ready to confront any complaints. The sign was typed and on laminated paper so this is evidently not a "one-off". I suggest that motorists use the petrol station just yards down the road towards Kings Heath. It is generally only 1p per litre more expensive but at least you can get onto the forecourt and when you do it's manned.

Back in the 90s you could buy 2-star or 5-star petrol, but these guys are 1-star, and that's generous. There's no space for 2 cars next to each other, but that's fortunate as half the pumps are usually out of service, or you discover once you've pulled up that they either have no diesel or no petrol - which they don't display, other than a pathetic sign hung on the pump - have you ever tried backing out of a line at a petrol pump? The "shop" itself is revolting - it's dirty, poorly stocked and the staff are rude. Do I REALLY need to save 10 pence this badly? No I don't, I'd rather pay another penny per litre and be treated like a paying customer!

This store has a great offer where if you buy more than 30 litres of fuel, you can claim a free drink at the Costa Express machine. I spend over £45 on fuel and as it was a hot day i got one of the cold drinks. However, nothing came out of the machine apart from ice and water. I thought nothing of this and threw the water out so that I could get something else. The assistant at the till shouted at me. Telling me to give him the receipt for the drink, which he added to the bill for my fuel. When I asked if I could get another drink instead, he said no. He accused me of throwing out my drink for no reason. Horrible service.

13/12/22 9.00pm Air machine take the £1 coin but wasn't working when i ask the staff that air machine isn't working he came out and tried to fix the machine but its still not working then he starts to teaching me how to operate air machine while its not working!!! really!!! i don't know how to operate air machine!!joke When i ask for refund Then he said that air machine isn't part of Texaco its belongs to the Car washing people!! I was like really dont lie to me, I'm local and i know it doesn't belongs to the Car wash. although Machine sucked my remaining tyre air and left my tyre inflated. Very disappointed.

Im am a regular here however yesterday my petrol lock was frozen. The chap behind the counter wanted me to buy water from him that he would boil to unfreeze the lock! His english was bad so for a minute I thought I'd got it wrong. Luckily 2 nice customers were willing to help me, and had anti freeze. I spend nearly £70. Don't buy sweets there £1 for 130 g fox glacier dark normally 185 to more in a bay for £1 what a con. What an unpleasant man !!!

Between this and the Jet down the road, usually offers the best prices in the area for petrol and diesel. Most pumps out of petrol when I was there in mid-December. There's no space to drive past other cars, so once you drive in, you have no choice but to wait for everyone in front to be served Shop is a decent size with a wide range of food etc available.

  • Alex Johnson

Fuel prices are quite good here. Staff are friendly and polite. Only downside is the forecourt is quite small so at busy times there can be a bit of a wait to get onto the forecourt.best times to go are generally later on in the evening. Possibly.now the only petrol Station in the area as the other station down the road is closed for the foreseeable.

  • Lewis O'Hara

I use this petrol station all the time since moving into the area and spend a small fortune every week and then to be told by the cashier to hurry up because he was busy is completely out of order. The staff who work here (with the exception of 1) are vile

  • Ritchie Wesson

Very nice, Well lit and layed out shop. Grabbed myself a drink and a boost as needed a pick up. Was cheaper then I thought it would be. Great little garage and a hand car wash attached to it which seemed very busy but vehicles didnt have to wait long.

  • Susan Hanson

Went for various valet. No waiting, started straight away. I sat outside because I was having inside cleaned. Car had to be moved but very friendly service man did that for me. Friendly staff and did great job. Not expensive either.

Overpriced petrol and poor selection of goods and it's an absolute low budget rundown heap of a building. I mean the shop is called "shop" that's not right.
