This was the best toy museum and best spend 2.5 hours of our vacation ever! The owner has a massive collection of toys of all sorts and materials! Every little piece in his collection has its story and he knows one to everything. Fun facts and jokes included, you see a lot on the first floor! (first ever made barbie, silly putty, robots, toys from Japan, America Germany and all other countries) The tour is made interactive by playing with some chosen toys and trying things yourself, videos of how others work via YouTube or pictures shown by the owner. When the upstairs is all shown to you, you get a deeper look into the collection and can play pinball, pacman and other games as well as see a rare Karl lagerfeld figurine, some posters and "gay Ken". I would personally advise to come with mature enough kids to see toys but they need to understand that you can't touch everything and have to be careful and quiet, the age level set by the owner is indeed necessary. Some jokes might need special humor to be understood, but that's what makes this museum even more unique. Personally I can only thank Mr. Bleckman for taking the time and patience to show us his collection and answer all of our questions. We do absolutely recommend to go, whenever you have an opportunity!

This place is undeniably one of the best kept secrets in Amsterdam!! Be prepared to get treated to an extravaganza of rare collectible vintage toys - From an extensive range of barbies, to dangerous toys in the 1900’s, and a big moving lego and train display in the basement! The highlight of our visit was meeting the owner Joseph, who was such a funny and amusing character filled with unbridled passion. We were endlessly entertained with his niche stories and deep-dives for the 2 hours that we were there. We will definitely be back again very soon!

I had the privilege of visiting this museum before it was even open to the public. It is a little gem in Amsterdam. Suitable for adults and children. There are some of the rarest toys in the world, from all continents: trains, planes, cars, robots, rockets, spaceships, Barbies, video games, pinball machines, Legos, educational games, puzzles, miniatures, and much more.

The toy museum was my highlight of my two week trip to Amsterdam! I tell all my friends and family about it. I wasn‘t aware when booking of the adventure we were going to have with the private guided tour through toy history! Including the first Barbie and other gems :)

This museum is a must see no matter if your old or young. If you grew up in the 40’s, 50’s, or 60’s you’ll get flashbacks of when you were young. The kids will be fascinated by all the different toys on display. This is an interactive museum so bring your phone. I can’t stress enough how great this place is and at a small price for what you will see and do.

This place is a must see! The breadth of this collection is beyond belief. Kids can actually see what we’re talking about, especially in the dangerous toys section. It’s amazing any of us survived childhood. Joseph the curator knows all there is to know about toys. I’ve spent a lot of time seeing his collection and every time I learn something new!

Come for the toys, but stay for the stories. Joseph is a collector and gives insight into his vast collection. Don't expect a typical museum but rather a personal insight. Last but not least, geeky adults and children will have their playful fun.

The museum is amazing and is filled with a big variety of different toy from different eras. What I find the most entertaining though, is the guide and the owner of the museum, Joseph. He is knowledgable and passionate about the topic and his humor will not be forgotten. - The three first customers

Great Historical Toy collections and exiting narration by Joseph- the owner of the place. I am not sure if it is currently opened to public visit, but if does than it defeniatly worth the visit. Joseph is so knowledgable that he can tell hours of stories about the artifacts.

When you are in Amsterdam then Toy Museum is A MUST visit. Wide selection, rare items, amazing stories. Especially stories.

Excellent collection of toys that influenced children of generations. A lot of old toys in working condition. Really great narration and storytelling by Joseph the collector.

We had a great time here, really recommend. You can even play with some toys.

Muy interesante, se nota la pasión que hay detrás cuando te van explicando cada uno de los juguetes. Totalmente recomendable!
