This place preys on the weak. You buy a car from them and no doubt you will have it in somebody's shop within 2 months after purchase. Their repair shop down the street is seriously under staffed and they are over worked. Their car lot is a bunch of junk cars that look nice on the outside. Once you sign that dotted line, that "new" p.o.s is yours and they will dance around fixing your car until your warranty runs out so you could be out of their hair. I purchased a car from them in January and by February I was back at the shop, having to leave the car there all day (mind you they have no loaner vehicles so you have to find a ride). From the time I purchased the car until now, it has been in the shop at LEAST 5 times, and the problems still were not fixed. Now that my warranty has worn off they are happy while they sit back and still collect their monthly payment on a car that was over priced and a POS anyways. Might I add they were on the news for being a janky car lot!!?? Google it! Buyer be ware! You'd be better off using Uber. Might I add you they lied and told me I was buying a car that was in great condition because they knew the previous owner and she kept it up. Well come to find out it was in a head on collision and there is no air bags in the car....very unsafe! And now my transmission gave out and I'm without a car and stuck with car payments... Update: Years later I come back to read reviews and I see ppl are still getting screwed by this janky car lot. You better listen to these bad reviews! Take your business else where! And if you have been screwed over by them as well like my comment. All these 5 stars are from the employees, family, or ppl who JUST purchased days ago and have yet for their car to break down. Report them to the BBB like I did. They need to be stopped! Don’t be the next bad review.

Buyer beware!! I had no prior credit history being 21 and this was my first car I purchased. I put $10,000 down on a $18,000 2011 Honda Accord. Made the rest in payments. Well when I went to pick it up the next day I noticed a small dent on the side that wasn't there before. Anyways I kept the car because it was something minor. Made all my payments on time and finally paid it off this past week. I kept trying to call to set up a time to go in so they could take the lean device off. They always put me on hold for more than 10 minutes but when I called to make a payment they were quick to answer! Finally I called just to say I needed to make a payment, sure enough they get on the phone and made an excuse saying they were just about to call me for my inquiry. Yeah sure. Well I set up an appointment today for 1 PM. They lady tells me it'll be done in about 20 min. An hour passes I ask about my car because I have to be somewhere at 2. She says hold on I don't really know. Then tells me they're waiting on someone to come back from lunch. What the hell! What's the point of an appointment then!? Anyways I'm irritated about to go off, finally at 2:30 they bring me my keys. Not worth the time or effort on buying a car from them. They are rude and unprofessional. But if this is your only option due to no credit then beware and make sure you research on the car and price! Also there are two huge holes where they took the device off and smelled like they smoked a cigarette in my car! Horrible place! UPDATE: They only report to Equifax credit bureau and not all 3.

After buying the vehicle I brought it back after getting an inspection which indicated the noise was something more than the dull pipes/muffler it was my catalyst/ converter. now my engine light is on. they took my car to be fixed by their mechanic i was without a loaner vehicle or car for a few days to get my car back with the same noise and within 30 min my check engine light is on they gave me a print out stating my car was driven at a high speed causing muffler to open up causing noise and to fast cause engine light to come on. long story short they service is horrible and i do not recommend any to purchase from them i am left to repair my own vehicle which cost me $2500 dollars at olathe ford lincoln and still have to get more work done this is the worst dealership to receive good accurate honest service. No one takes accountability not even loyal enough to pick up the phone and when i was able to get through i was told the person i needed to speak with was not available or not work today to call back. seeking legal attention no one should have to deal with bad service when it comes to business.

I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS, DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. I was lied to about and manipulated during the sales process. I was involved in a car incident, I had liability insurance,with the , repair coverage they provide and charge extra per payment. When I dropped my vehicle off to the lot to be repaired , my car had the tags I just purchased placed properly. I waited two weeks for car to be repaired still had to cover my payments, with no vehicle. Once I go to pick my vehicle up , I notice my brand new tags are missing. I question the manager about my stolen tags, he informed me that , he’s not responsible for the tags. He then stated that I was lieng ,that the vehicle had no tags. I had to pay out of pocket for brand new tags , depsite filling out a police report for them being stolen. The repair was to the front end of the vehicle. When I went to wash my vehicle a couple weeks later, the new repaired areas , had paint peeling off just from washing. That wasn’t a issue before this horrible repair paint job. So this has been a huge inconvenience for me, I’m paying way to much ,as is, for the year and make of this vehicle. When I call to make payments , I’m hung up on and placed on hold numerous times before I can make payment. This has been one of my biggest regrets doing business with the big lot. The staff and management is very rude and manipulating. I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS! I thought I’d share my honest experience, to help someone else avoid these issues.

I have had the worst car buying experience by far with this company!! I call speak with the girl in service who tells me if the problem is something other than what i originally brought it to them for then I would have to pay for repair (scratching my head) I wondered what the original said problem was because I was told there was nothing wrong I’ve been given the run around so much. Fast forward to now and now my vehicle won’t start after experiencing the same issues I can almost assure taking it to them they’re going to tell me it’s something I caused and try to charge me to fix it. I Refuse To Pay Anything to these ppl until my car is up and running and if I can’t get this resolved a lawsuit will be in order!!! DO NOT USE THIS CAR COMPANY!!!!

If I could give 0 I would because one star is far too much. The by the third day after having the car the fuel pump needed to be replaced, it had a really bad gas leak in the cabin, electrical issues, and engine problems. And the service manager is so rude and disrespectful. When I informed them of the issues they made me pay $200 before they did anything even though they said I wouldn’t have to if i had issue within the first week. If that was the end of it I wouldn’t be so upset but it wasn’t. The service manager told me that what ever they did it was a courtesy and they didn’t have to do anything even though we had a warranty (THE WARRANTY MEANS NOTHING TO THEM) I told them our check engine light was in and it was making a rattling noise and the belt was squeaking…The service manager told me the engine and belt wasn’t covered under the warranty (which was a lie) and said if they decided to work on the car it would be a courtesy and I would still have to pay full price. Also the mechanics are horrible or they train them not do bare minimum barley mediocre work either way after the car was worked on of 6 is that needed to be addressed they only fixed two things once again barely. And when I spoke to them about it they stated “We did our job if you want us to fix it again you will have to pay full price and it will be a courtesy!!” DONT DO IT❗️

They have a Hispanic chick behind the glass when you make your payments the skinny girl with Glasses she is so rude just due to her alone I wouldn't recommend them . I had my car about 5 months this is like the 5th time I'm doing some type of repair. They charge $70 dollars to check out ur car Problem smh my car won't start so that's a tow truck and 70 just to get them to look at it. I hella regret going here already smh **Update* Jeff from big lots reached out to me this morning out of nowhere! To my surprise he offered great news. He listened to my concern and took 1000 dollars off my back end car payment also a few free oil changes. They have a new staff that listing and treat u with respect the last lady is gone! This place was great dar as getting u into a car I literally had 500 down walked out with a really nice truck they fixed the engine for me haven't had any issues at all. I'm just happy that they care about there customer it feels good to hear from the big man and to see them make changes. I definitely recommend shopping with big lot they will work with u. This place is a piece of trash!!!! They are a bunch crooked predators waiting to lie and steal your money. They prey on people with bad credit by selling them lemons with high interest rates. You will be better off going to a buy here pay here lot. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!! The first car they sold me had high miles and messed up transmission. I went back to get another car from them and yesterday they took it back. They told me that they were going to move a device off of the car that stops the car from running....Long story short it was to take the car back because the bank that financed me never did approve me for the car. They say it was because of my employment not being full-time, but they should have never let me drive off the lot until I was approved!!! Do not waste your time go to a buy here pay here lot you get the same quality of cars without the ridiculous interest rates. AND THEY STILL OWE ME MONEY. I AM GOING MONDAY TO GET MY MONEY BACK. AVOID THEM WITH ALL COST!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE RIGHT THE PEOPLE ON HERE GIVING THEM 5 STARS.....ARE PROBABLY EMPLOYEES

I bought my 2011 Camry from these people in 2012, and I have to say... the lot looks shady at first, (it's in a shady/skeevy area of town, so that's unfortunate), but the Big Lot was never anything but great to me. You would think, based on the surrounding area, that the lot had to be full of scam artists, but this place turned out to be ALMOST too good to be true. I worked with Jay, and he was personable, kind, friendly, and flexible. He kept in touch with me every step of the way, and made the buying process actually what I would consider fun. The man who did my financing paperwork was brilliant, and somehow managed to get me - who had never had a credit score worth a damn (read: over 500) - financed through Chase Bank! The car I got from them was in perfect condition, had low miles, and the bumper-to-bumper warranty was awesome. I love my car, and I would come back to this place again if I needed another. Don't be scared by the neighborhood -- give them a try! If your credit score is garbage and you want a nice, newer car, there really isn't a better place to go.

I was in desperate need of a car a few years ago to get to work. I had just moved to KCMO and started a new job and these guys took a chance on me. I drove it for 3 years loved everything about the car it ran great and never had any major issues. My boyfriend and I decided to find something bigger so we stopped in to see what they had available. Bryan was awesome to work with. Hes laid back and easy to work with. I can't stand high pressure sales tactics and tend to walk away when I get that feeling. Bryan never made us feel that way. We bought a jeep that day. The next week we decided it was time to replace my boyfriends vehicle. Bryan was so comfortable to work with we gave him a call and now we are the proud owners of a Ford Fusion. We knew buying 2 cars in a week was going to be a challenge. Sam worked hard to make it happen. I was able to get bank financing on the car to drop the payments and fix our credit. We will be referring everyone to them for all of there car buying needs! They don't do tires! Sold me a way over budget, way over priced 2005 I have had one tire fall off in traffic. One blew on the highway, and the third just deflated overnight. Not happy at all with what we arranged and the SUV has no shocks, everything is rusted out horribly. Things you're not told before you buy. Want to charge me $80 to diagnose the car for a button inside they told me to "push it all the way down," to fix and it fell inside the panel! Now they want $350 to get the button back out?! Will NEVER do business with them, again. Would NEVER refer my worst enemy to these people I've had to drive every other week to pay them "cash" until the "option to pay online" finally became available, which no one bothered to tell me about until 2 months after it started. Their phone message says "one low monthly payment," but they are asking for payments every week from me. Extremely fed up with their lack of service and level of care for customer satisfaction! We went in with a budget of $8,000 and left in a $11,000 problem.

Let me start off by saying that I have had my SUV for almost 5 months now. The purchasing experience was easy and great. No problems. I like my truck. I am a great customer I have NEVER missed a payment or even had a late payment since DAY 1. But this Dealer only has good customer service during the buying process. Due to a "computer error" my car was shut off over a holiday weekend even though my payment had been made and when I called I was told by Kristen "things happen" she is very rude and unprofessional. I pay $400+ a month on time every month things shouldn't "just happen" especially after my payment had been made and I had no way to work. It was 4th of July weekend what if I would have been out of town with my children. Now I have had my truck like I said about 5 months and my warranty just expired and I need over $3,000.00 in repairs done and I call and all I get is just plain rude I am totally unsatisfied and I would not recommend this dealer to anyone.

I gotta say it's been hell ever since going here. So my girlfriend and myself go and speak to what ended up being several different salesman one day and we did all the paperwork and they ran everything through and told us we "would need $500 for down payment before we can get u in a vehicle". That was all I needed to know. I said thanks and I would be back tomorrow with the money. I go home and sale my one running vehicle I have to get the money for down payment. When I went in the next morning after paying a cab $40 for a ride I'm looking through the lot to get an idea what I want. I go inside and none of the people that I spoke to the day before were there. I know a few of the people that were there saw me the day before but we didn't speak. None of it mattered however because they now we're saying I needed $1000 down. What? Oh wow. Thanks for nothing guys. I've played hell with no vehicle ever since. How do u people sleep at night

So I have bad credit and desperately needed a car. The salesperson was awesome, and talked me into getting an 07 Jeep. Within the first week I got it, I went to the car wash, and my window started leaking. I told them about it and they said bring it in to get it fixed. When I got the my jeep back, they told me they HAD to seal my sunroof. I was pissed off. And other than exchanging my vehicle, they wanted more money from me. If I was at fault I could understand that, but it wasn't me. So now I had a flat tire. Didn't think too much of it to use the emergency brake to change the tire. After that, I started hearing a noise. Took it to my mechanic and found out the e-brake was so rusted, that it snapped. I haven't had this car for a year yet and now it needs all new brakes and rotors, e-brake, and not to mention I have some electrical problems (told them and they said nothing was wrong) DO NOT buy a car from here. They're cars are bullshit.

When I arrived to the car lot I was greeted by a nice guy by the name of Kelly. His costumer service was great although I feel like he tried to take me me fast. The check engine light came on while test driving the car and he was like oh it could be moisture in the fuel tank from sitting up. Ok cool, it went off..Two weeks later I had to bring the car back for the check engine light and vibration from the tires. They balanced the tires and said they fixed the oil sending unit. Well, about three days later, the check engine light is back on and there is still a vibration while driving it. I asked about a loaner because this is an inconvenience for me, but of course they don't offer that service. I also asked to trade the car for the same exact car that isn't having any issues and of course they wouldn't do that either. So far I am very disappointed with the service I've been receiving and would not recommend this car lot to anyone else.

Hi I’m a nurse fir the university of Kansas health care system I went to the Big lots after I lost my car in a horrible traffic accident They Sold me a faulty car!! The seat belts don’t work!!! And the car is giving terrible brake issues! I have a warranty on the vehicle but however ,they don’t honor they’re warranty’s at all and you still have to come out of pocket I’ve had my car less than 60 days and it’s horrible I’ve tried contacting the big lots to voice my concern but they just brush me off So my question is : if an accident happened and my kids were hurt in any way would Big Lots assume any liability or would they just brush that off as well. Be mindful who your spending your money with these folks don’t care about us or our families they’re number one priority is your car payment and that’s a horrible way to be!!!! Please never ever get a car from here

I have been a customer of Big Lot Cars for a little over a year now and I have always been on time with my payments. I have never given these people any grief or excuse about my car payments. Today I called to let them know about my keyless entry, that it is glitching and causing problems with starting my car (push button start). The office manager is completely unsympathetic and very rude! She stated "You are in Bankruptcy, so it doesn't matter, go talk to your lawyer". I couldn't believe what I was hearing! Understandably if there isn't a warranty on the car, of course I am responsible for repairs and such, however, for this woman to use my bankruptcy as one of the reasons is DISCRIMINATION! I caution those that are considering getting a car from these people, they DO NOT take care of there clients! P.S I wouldn't have provided any stars if it was available!

This Car lot is a joke. They sold us a 2011 GMC terrain about one month ago. We have had six things serviced on it since then. They refuse to try to give us a new car even though there's obviously more problems with the current car. It grinds when it starts. They installed their money security device on top of our ground wire causing it to not start one morning for us. Now the remote start on the key Fab won't work and the unlock button is pushed in and barely works. And the lady all she did was want to argue with me and tell me to put my wife on the phone . And They won't let you talk to you an owner,only managers I guess. now we have to get our windshield wiper fuse replaced. And the airbags have to be serviced. I would recommend not using this car lot. Poor customer service. Poor cars.

Went to other car lots and was given the run around. Even though I have less than perfect credit The Big Lot dealership was honest and fair in helping find a lender that would work with me. Sam is the guy that gets credit for that. This took several hours out of his afternoon. He made sure that he kept me informed of what was happening and that he would not stop until he found a lender for my circumstances. Which is exactly what he did. During all this time the whole staff at The Big Lot was curtious and made sure I was comfortable. The customer service that Jim provided was above and beyond just a car salesman. Just when I thought I would never be able to get a car I was proven wrong. I was able to walk out with a new car, thanks to Jim, Sam and the whole staff at The Big Lot. Thank You

Last night, my fiancé and I purchased a car at Big Lot Car Credit. From the moment we walked on the lot until the moment we walked off the lot (10 minutes after closing), we were taken care of. Our experience with LUPE (sales) and SAM (finance) was absolutely fantastic. Lupe maintained constant professionalism and assured my fiancé and I that he would get us into the vehicle we love with payments we could manage. He absolutely delivered on that promise! Sam worked tirelessly for about an hour and a half straight to find us an interest-rate low enough to keep our payments in line. He was efficient, thorough, and well-organized. Would Rate them zero stars if possible! Had my car exactly 30 days & it stopped working all together! At my expense I had my car towed to their shop- for them to not call me for a week to tell me I have to come in to pay $89.99 - I have made 2 payments since my car has not been working- now they want another payment or they won’t release my car back to me- so I offered to pay the $89.99 until I have some answers- she didn’t like that so now she can’t guarantee my car will be diagnosed without another payment on a broken down car! horrible customer service! Horrible service manager. Do NOT buy here! Reporting to attorney general and filing a lawsuit

Do not come here no matter your circumstances store manager is super rude and doesn’t show any concern. Got a vehicle 6 days ago and problem with power steering & engine. Upon listening to my concerns about car before having it checked he tries to convince me that cars usually do that if they sit a few hours. After sitting for 7 hours waiting for car to be fixed store manager comes to me saying the mechanics are unable to put new steering pump by today so I have to find a way home. Very nonchalant & arrogant people that feed off of genuine people in need. You can tell by their responses they deal with this every day & do not care.

My Experience at The Big Lot Car Credit was amazing , Dave was able to get me in a car without the hassle---not only a car but the Car I wanted 2011 Malibu. The car has less than 30,000 miles on it--its clean inside and out..His customer service was above and beyond..he dont sale dreams..he makes dreams come true.. I thank you Dave, and I know who to send my friends and family to if they need a car. Also I cant forget about Amber she made the paperwork process go so smoothly. I was done with paperwork in less than 30 minutes, she knows her job very well, and made sure I understood then contract, and payments. You guys rock!!!!

I bought a 2016 Chevy with decent miles on it and the salesman before I even got the car. He told me not to worry about the oil burning. They just changed it, come to find out the gasket manifold was bad. My mechanic told me it was leaking for quite some time. They thought because I was a female I was not going to get it checked. That’s what they thought .It was such a hassle to get them to fix it I had my temp tag barely 30 days and I was already having issues with the oil leaking horribly. I will never go back to them again. I highly suggest do not go to this car lot.

That very same day I was able walk out with the car that I really wanted. They have great customer service and are always ready when you need make a payment or something simple as answering a question. My Experience at The Big Lot Car Credit was amazing from the staff to the time we were in and out. They truly value their customers. They also listen and respect the decision for a certain make and model of a car they work around the clock to get you in the ride of your choice. They truly live up to every word of their oath. They sell lemons and will refuse to properly fix the car issues. I contacted Attorney General and taking action to go to Small Claims Court. They are very shady people. Talk to customers inside before you buy a car here and I guarantee they will tell you not to walk away but RUN AWAY! They charged my mother $2500 to fix her transmission a month later it went out again and they said she will have to pay another $2500 to have it fixed again. That’s the type of business this is so if you decide to buy a car here anyway I suggest you have repair money to the side.

Worst experience every! Customer service was great during the sale, but two months after getting the car it completely stopped on me. I was still within my warranty period, so I contact them to come get the car & look at the car. I was told to pay to get the car towed as well as paying the mechanic to diagnose it while I’m still within my warranty. I financed cars before & every time I had an issue, it was handled fairly & quickly! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s a reason they don’t follow all the rule there. Horrible place!!!!

I have never been to a dealership that was on the same level as The Big Lot. Their cars, customer service, and deals are superior to ALL competitors. They've been in the business for a while and the experience shows. I would give them six stars if there was that option. :D

So far I am financing a pretty decent car. A little over priced for the year and mileage, but nothing extremely abnormal. I receive compliments on my car all the time, but I do like that it drives well. Had a few problems at first but Big Lots helped me through it. So my overall experience at Big Lots...I am very content with my little car. She's part of the family and we are almost 6 months in. :)

The best car buying experience i have ever had. Lupe went above and beyond to get me in the car i wanted and the car that was the best for me. Very honest. Not pushy. I did not ever feel uncomfortable whatsoever like i have at other car places. For first time buyers this is the place to go because they are upfront and honest and you know youre not getting screwed in the end. 5 stars! Ask for Lupe!

I went with my brother to buy a car over the weekend and it was the quickest experience of our lives! They told him exactly what to bring and then not much else was needed. Everyone there was really nice and helpful. We we're in an out with a great looking used car in no time at all. Highly recommended if you're looking into getting a used car with not the best credit!

My experience hasn't been too peachy from the beginning and I'm maybe hitting a month dealing with this place. Alot of bad communication. Service will tell you one thing and then argue with you that's not what they said try and put you at fault for things that were already wrong and tell you that's not covered in your warranty. Haven't had the car 30 days

I have been we without my Vehicle for over a month. I purchased a Chevy Silverado The first incident happened within a week after purchased with an axel It was fixed and returned to me the following day and then on day 30 the engine up locked up and now all I get is the run around Wouldnot recommend a dog to these people

I did not go through them for any of their vehicles. Don't associate with them at all. But they stole my wallet, I'd social, birth certificate, credit card, work car When they repoed one of the cars from someone else I know. They refused to give it back to me. Made a police report. I don't even live in missouri. 8.07.23

They want you to pay, pay, pay but they don’t want to fix anything or try to understand that u can’t give them all your money for issues u been having with they car from day one. I believe they do something to the cars to get through the test drive.
