On April 17,2021 we purchased a powered love seat recliner. (The Brick South Edmonton Common). In September 2023 the recliner needed repairing. There were structural issues and the electronics would not work. We had purchased a $400 five year extended warranty. The technician ordered parts. A couple of weeks later we were told the parts were "unavailable". Really? The recliner was only two years old! We were offered two options: choose a replacement and pay the difference if it was more expensive. If we chose a cheaper unit we would not be refunded the difference! The other option was to keep the original recliner "as is". No extended warranty coverage! We would also be given a store credit equivalent to 40% of the purchase price. The remaining 3 years of warranty coverage would be forfeited no matter which option we chose. We were given one week to make up our minds. My wife asked for a copy of the technician's work order so we would know exactly what was wrong should we decide to keep the recliner and take our chances. The Brick would not provide this. We asked to speak to the technician. The Brick would not arrange this. Numerous times my wife ended up arguing with the customer service department because they were unwilling to put in writing what she was being told. I tried contacting the head office in Edmonton to file a complaint. No one answered. A recording instructed that I leave my name, number and purpose of my call and that I would be contacted within 48 hours. I was never contacted...not even a week later! I tried a second time. No call back! On the sales invoice it reads, "Our commitment is to you ...our customer" This declaration is not worth the paper it is written on! The Brick has lost our trust and we will not be giving them our business ever again!

ZERO STAR, not recommend Firstly, they forgot to deliver my sofa and brought a damaged washing machine and the wrong dishwasher. Secondly, they attempted to deliver the washing machine again, and it was damaged and rewrapped, indicating it was a returned product. After the third attempt, I received only half of the sofa, with one seat missing, claiming it was out of stock. They assured me it would be restocked by the first week of January, but when I called after that period, they informed me it’s still not in stock and expected by the first week of February. Every time I call, they keep transferring me to different people without a solution, suggesting I contact various individuals. Despite delivering the sofa on the same day, I had to pick up the microwave from the warehouse myself. The constant need for my presence during deliveries led me to take five extra days off. Overall, the lack of customer service and ongoing delays make me advise against choosing this store or brand. They seem unable to resolve issues promptly, causing unnecessary inconvenience. Additionally, within just 15 days, one of the dining table chairs has already broken. It’s disheartening to realize that despite spending money on warranties, the overall quality of the items from the store, especially The Brick, appears to be lacking. This experience has left me questioning the value of my purchase and the additional investment in warranties, feeling like a wasted effort and money. The last person you need is consistently unresponsive, on vacation, left early, adding to the frustration of the lack of action or resolution. This compounds the issue, as getting a response to calls and emails seems to be an ongoing challenge with this store.

The end of December came and they still did not arrive in which we contacted them again and are now told they are sending them but it will be the end of January and that if we haven’t received them by then we can do an exchange in which I said why were we not given the option of an exchange in the first place instead of waiting the apparently 90 DAYS that it could take to receive the legs for our couch!!! (We were never told 90 days until now) We are not happy with the customer service and cannot rate how the couch is because we have yet to even be able to use our couch! Absolutely horrible customer service and will never shop at the brick again nor recommend it to anyone.

Pathetic service. Don’t waste money here. They will sell you mattress without letting you know that item is not in stock. Once you pay the money then they will tell you that you will get it a week and that too you will get a call. Then you have to keep waiting for call which will never come then customer has to call and someone on phone who doesn’t care about anything will answer the phone , tell the same story you will get a call blah blah blah. After that you wait for another 6-7 days then you have to go on store then they tell you it’s not in stock. It will take another 5-6 days. I Applied for cancellation god knows how long will it take now to get money back. I wish I could give rating in minus. Don’t waste time and money here.

Service from sale person was good. They got the money and the brakes came on. Awaiting order over a month. Called and called and called customer service to find out customer service it none existence. Purchased from the Brick a couple decades ago and said I would never again. Well I did and things only got worth. Don't waist your time or money unless your just window shopping for ideas. See something you like then Purchased from a reputable store. Their product will more than likely be of superior quality anyway. Kicking myself for going against my word just to find out there was a reason I never purchased anything from the brick in the last couple decades. Buyer beware is all I can say.

I used to not like The Brick for some reason, but they had some good deals so I went to check them out. I have to say, I’m am SO impressed with their service. My salesperson Seema, has been a pleasure to deal with! Helping me along the way with anything I needed. She even gave me a cell number to text with any questions! And the delivery service was also very good! I got an email two days before, another message the day of with a time frame, a text when I was the next in line for the delivery, and a phone call when they were 3 minutes away. The delivery was flawless (no damage to anything) and I am very happy with my products I purchased. Definitely will be back! Wonderful service!

Poor customer service. This store wastage of money and wastage of time. Not satisfied. We spent our money we are not taking anything for free. my family and I visited your store in hopes of purchasing furniture and appliances. To my surprise, I stood at the customer service station for a staggering 30 minutes, yet no staff member acknowledged my presence or attempted to assist me. It was a frustrating experience to be ignored entirely, especially after actively seeking assistance. Product quality is zero.

Went in to look at a specific mattress brand. The young lady led us to another, great mattress, $2800 on sale for $1100.00, perfect for my husbands sore hip. No problem to return if there was the slightest problem, brought up a few scenarios, no problem, anything we wanted they would do for us. Worse mattress we have ever had the misfortune to sleep on and that was the good part ... customer service clerk rude, lectured us on policy ....keep your money in your pocket, once they have it, it is gone.

She was patient and pleasant and made sure I understood everything and was happy. I found the order process online to be confusing and she made it all great. Back of the customer service like for 30 minutes. Even though the sales person could handle the $100 payment, the store was now “too busy” for him to help, which was 8 minutes later.
