First-time visit today to wash and dry my laundry. The computerised digital display on the machine next to the coin slot clearly states to insert 20p coins. Therefore I placed numerous 20p coins into the machine. The machine did not turn on. When I queried this with a member of staff, she said that it only accepts 50p and £1 coins. I then pointed out the digital display saying 20p. She acknowledged that fact, but then pointed to a sign (amongst lots of other signs) on the other side of the room that stated it only takes 50p and £1. The advertised information was contradictory, but I accepted it and just asked for the incorrect money I had inserted into the machine to be refunded to me. She refused to give me the money back and got very argumentative with me. I said she could open the money compartment and give me my money back, but she refused - and just shut down the discussion. The fact that the digital display has not been updated, or even a small warning sign placed next to the coin slot. In addition their refusal to refund the money. Many people must fall foul of the same problem, and I can only conclude it’s a way of extorting money out of people, otherwise they would have refunded my money. I will take my custom elsewhere in the future, and I will be warning other potential customers not to use this launderette either.

I have used this local launderette for over fifteen years. I take clothes in every two weeks or so and service has been fantastic and good value for money. Normally I pay around £9 to £10 for a service wash. Today, however, I have just been in to collect my washing to be charged £23! Over twice as much as I normally pay. I was aghast. When I asked why I was told the clothing was very dirty. If I hadn’t needed these clothes for going on holiday tomorrow I would have refused to pay. I work in an office. I don’t play sports. I left them about six T-shirt’s and eight or ten pairs of underwear, a pair of jogging bottoms and a hand towel. £23. That is a joke. As a semi invalid (I walk with a stick) The Clean Machine is the closest launderette for miles. I dread going there again.

It's quite expensive the machines the washing machines they spin as well as wash however they don't wash really well and this pin isn't that fast so close come out quite damp especially if you have heavy concentrating like blankets or towels and secondly the dryers are very lukewarm it will take you you about 45 minutes just to dry the clothes £1 equals 10 minutes in the dryer I put in 5 lb and still they weren't really dry and all I was washing was my the sofa and cushion cover for my sofa so unless you have very late close to wash and dry it will cost you about £15 you'll be better off putting that money in the electric then washing your own clothes in your own washing machine and then leave them out to dry

I have used this place once before to have my shirts washed and ironed. They washed and ironed a number of shirts to a high standard agreeing a price for the whole job before leaving my items with them. I went yesterday to drop shirts off again for the same service, expecting the same price. The person serving me refused to provide a price until the shirts had been washed and ironed. They were very rude about it and refused to provide any form of price calculation. I therefore had to find an alternative shop because I was not willing to leave my shirts without agreeing a price in advance.

I have been using this service for a few years now always been a regular customer despite the horrendous attitude of the women that works there. Recently went to drop of a fairly small rug (which I have been doing for years now) and she refused me saying we don't wash rugs and we never have. I spoke to her on the phone and she hung up on me twice! I would not recommend this service to anyone. The staff there are so rude you might as well do your own washing/drying or use another service.

Really love this place clean and fresh place staff helpfull apart from the asian lady that doesn’t smile and is rude to customers when we pay your wages to keep you in the job no manners nothing won’t help with the money and washing powder stuff to buy from them but I like it when the polish lady was here she was nice hard working lady poor customer service where and rude smelly woman in the shop and always busy here

Had a great experience at this laundrette today! Really helpful when I needed it, easy to use machines with clear instructions- and great friendly service. The Manager went the extra mile and wrote me a receipt for the wash and dries that I did- I needed this to claim for expenses. Definitely recommend to anybody in the area and I will be a regular customer going forward. Thank you!

I've had a service wash done by staff at The Clean Machine for the past few weeks and have always found them fast and and efficient, usually doing the wash and dry within the same day. The items are dried thoroughly (no soggy socks loitering at the bottom of the bag!) and folded very well. I thoroughly recommend them.

Thank you for helping me with my massive load! Hadn't been for a few years so forgot how it all worked! All laundry done. Can relax now till next time. Clean, lots of seating, change, powder. TV too. Massive load £8, small load £3.50. 30mins dryer on med heat £3.

Dryers are red hot and will get through 2 loads in 25- 30 mins. Its 50p for 4 mins, I usually pay no more that £4.00 for 2 loads as they are big dryers. The machines take 50p / £1.. many reviews on here are angry as they didn't read the instructions. Its simple.

Super clean and everyone who works there are super friendly and willing to answer any questions very impressed. I always attend to this Laundrette it is cleanest one I've been to and workers are always friendly.

Really like this place. Lots of machines, dryers etc. Open late every night even sundays. Dry clean is cheap and very professionally done. Has space to fold your clothes, sit and relax and a tv.

Really convenient. Wash is £3 and dryer 60p should be okay, but you pay for time with the dryers (£1=10minutes) The owner is nice and friendly. Put the coins in very slowly.

Many of the machines are broken and the last wash is 5pm! So no good for most people with a job. You will have to go on Sunday when there is s queue to use the machines.

Staff are rude and Lazy. Had to rely on other customers to let me know how to work the machine as the woman working there couldn't be bothered to walk up to my machine.
