Affordable stopover stay in a friendly, relaxed environment :) • Exceptionally friendly staff - greeted with a smile and conversation was made. I was shown around the hostel and well informed about the key system and how to get into the building late at night. • Clean bathrooms (although I never used the shower so I can't comment on that) • Good kitchen • Nicely decorated building and rooms • Discount in the restaurant and bar which is all part of the same building complex • The best vegan pizza I ever tried (no exaggeration) • Reasonable check out and check in times • Superb location (near the main bus station and city centre) • The general vibe of the place :( • The mattresses are a tad old (at least in my particular dorm "H") • It's true there's a lot of noise until the bar closed but this is well informed before your stay, so to complain about this after would be silly

A friend and I stayed at the twin private room (ensuite). It’s a wheelchair accessible room (even more accessible than some expensive hotels) in front of the bar’s seating area, which can get noisy in the evenings. It has a huge bathroom and a rain shower with handrails, a second shower head would be ideal.

Place is real nice if not a tad pricy. Staff were generally very helpful and friendly. Rooms were ok. I might add that having a 20 pound deposit on top of your cost per night is pretty ridiculous. I get you get it back but it's still a ton of dough up front for whatever you need replacing. Also the showers are the push kind they only stay on for like 15 sec which I understand is for water conservation but it defeats the point if you have it keep it on for so long just to have hot water turn on. Those are all the gripes I have. If I'm in Bristol next time I guess I can stay here again as their is not much other option. Maybe next time will be better.

This was my first hostel, on my first solo trip ever. The receptionist (Catharina (I think)) was really nice about it and explained everything to me. She introduced me to other guests which really took the tension from me. The beds are comfy and the rooms are good. If you enter the common room or kitchen you directly get a chat with someone. Just walk in there with an open attitude and the conversation follows themselves. The bar downstairs is nice to easily have a drink with fellow hostel guests. It is true that there is noise and music a lot of the time. Only with earbuds I found it not a problem. It is definitely a hostel for people that want to have a good social time.

Place is tidy and in a great location, staff is friendly and helpful. There is a nice and pretty well equipped kitchen available. Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress was old and I could feel every spring - I was waking up multiple times during the night because of that. The shower also wasn't the best, the water was running for literally 5 seconds after switching it on so I had to keep pressing the button dozens of times to have a (not even a decent) wash. Lastly, there are no lockers in the rooms to safely storage belongings so also a big minus.

On weekends there is very loud music until 2am in the pub downstairs...

The staff were kind but nothing else was good. The showers on our floor didn’t work so we needed to go upstairs. You have to hold the shower lever down the whole time or the (cold) water stops. I could only sleep after 2am when the pub downstairs closed. It’s super noisy from 10pm-2am every night with people at the bar. I could also hear entire conversations from guests in the rooms above and beside my private room. The bedding was old and the room floor was uneven. I also don’t think it had a good location. Should have been half the price we paid.

  • Alfredo Villa

The location is good, the place was clean. One thing to improve: I arrived early in the morning and was tired and asked for a place to shower or just rest and the staff only offered me the option of waiting in the courtyard. Would be nice to offer the option to use the social areas of the hostel when we arrive before to the checkin time. The place is noisy because there is a bar downstairs just to have that on mind.

Lovely place full of fun people having a fab time.... You're almost always guaranteed to have a unique experience which feels like you're travelling the world due to the fact that it doubles as a backpackers hostel where people gather to share their adventures. There's always a brilliant musical line up in both the Full Moon and next door in the Attic Bar which you access by traversing the bustling courtyard full of many tables of happy fun finders....

Pricey but clean and friendly hostel. Very convenient location! As it was a Friday night, the crowds downstairs were very loud but this was already stated and they provided earplugs. I slept really well! Comfy bed, friendly and nice staff, equally friendly and nice roommates/guests! We all had pizza together at the hostel's pub/restaurant downstairs.

The place itself is really nice, people welcome you nicely and the vibe is great. It's located near the city center and commodities are accessible easily. The only negative point on this hostel is the common spaces : the showers are pretty cold and not mega clean, and the kitchen is dirty. Otherwise, to stay for one or two nights I recommend !

Stayed for 1 night during a visit to town. We were in the 8 bed men's dorm. Room was fine overall. Bathrooms clean as well. There was a mixup where they accidentally booked an extra person in the room so we were all woken up at 3am by security but it was resolved quickly. As others say it's very lively and noisy until 2-230am but it makes it very social

The location of this hostel is superb, right next to the heart of the Bristol Center. The rooms are cozy but the common room area could do a lot more. They have their own pub and restaurant at the ground floor, so it can be pretty noisy especially over the weekend nights, but the Full Moon conglomerate has its own vibes ifkyk

We came here for a Sunday Lunch. The food was excellent. Good options for meat eaters and it was nice that the vege option wasn't just a nut roast. The gravy comes in medium sized thermos style flasks so you can add as much or as little as you like. Or use a roast potato to clean the inside of it once you've finished. Catered well for kids portions too. Lots of well informed and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Don't go to this hostel if you're planning to sleep. They play very loud music in their bar downstairs until 2AM (from Thursday to Sunday). It's outrageous that they didn't put ANY effort in soundproofing and dare charging people to "sleep"... Wouldn't mind to hear the music from afar but this was like sleeping on the dancefloor. Totally disrespectful for guests

Hostel is located above a bar which plays very loud music until 2am so you won’t get much sleep. The rooms feel fairly old and not very clean, the floors vibrate when somebody walks by in the hallway and the mattress was very uncomfortable. At £40/night for a bed in a six-person dorm, this does not feel like good value for money. Bathrooms and kitchen are very clean though and staff was helpful and friendly.

  • Eshan Ghosh

Nice location and friendly staff. Rooms are good but not soundproof as you can hear music and chit chat all night long. But this is clearly mentioned in the hostel's policy. Overall it was a nice experience. 100% recommended

This is Bristol in a pub....a wonderful mix of great things from a cosy pool area, to a pizza oven knocking out quality food to a fine selection of local ales and ciders... And then there's the outside covered area with a west Indian pop up... If you don't know what you're looking for, you'll find it here.

  • Es Dubya

Great spot in town, super busy and cool music playing outside when we visited. Inside found a seat and could people watch whilst having a beer or two. There look like they serve pizza from a proper oven. Enjoyed our visit.

Nice enough during the day and the courtyard's nice, but fills up with some icky characters later on. The Attic Bar on the other side of the courtyard tends to be nicer at night.
