Instead of talking about bad experiences with vet clinics at 2 other vet surgery’s in the past and last night, let’s talk about good experiences. @thegapvetsurgery in Brisbane. Perhaps you live elsewhere in Brisbane but if you’ve had bad experiences with a vet, then may I suggest this place as you will never have one. Consider my recommendation and for peace of mind maybe the extra drive is worth it. My cats have been going there there for over 6 years having had lots of operations both standard and emergency. My male cat Munch was hit by a car 2 years ago, his hip damaged by a dog, desexed, and now a bladder blockage like a kidney stone (salt crystals in a cat) and it’s these guys that took care of him perfectly every time.... All I can say is they are ALWAYS outstanding. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars and worth the drive from anywhere in Brisbane if you love your pets. Both Scott and Chris are FULLY qualified and professional vets not 4th year Uni students like you with find in various vets across Brisbane! They have operated on so many animals collectively it’s crazy. Their experience is super guru stuff and they actually love and care animals as do all the other staff there! We had our dog cut one of his nail due to infection on Tues. The nurse and doctor were really nice and professional. He is under antibiotics for two days, the medicine doctor given is totally accapted by him. He, this Thur morning, ate and run, real run but with three legs of course, really well already. We are glad he can recover that fast, guessing it's because the doctor gave right dose of anaesthesia, clean surgery, and good wrapping. Hope he will grow his toe normally. We will take the wrap removed this Sat, and figure cross he won't play with dirty with his new toe...

I often walk my dog on the footpath past The Gap Vet and he will try and go through the gate to go for a visit every single time. A dog that WANTS to visit the Vet... what better recommendation is there! Scott has been looking after my IWH since he was a pup and his knowledge is second to none. He really takes the time to explain what is going on with any ailments that arise, provide treatment options and and explains the pros and cons of each option. All the support staff are fantastic as well. Can't speak highly enough of the entire practice.

We live on the Sunshine Coast hinterland and travel 95 minutes each way to have our precious pets cared for by the fantastic team at Gap Veterinary Surgery. Sure, we’ve tried others locally (who wants to spend 3 hours in a car) and none compare to Scott and his team. We’ve been a customer for almost 20 years and can’t see that changing any time soon. If you love your pets like we do, you only want the best for them … and that’s why we go here.

Our first experience at the local vet clinic was far from satisfactory. Despite having a pre-booked appointment, we had to endure a half-hour wait. To our surprise, the nail-cutting service for our dog amounted to a staggering $53, significantly exceeding our initial expectations. Regrettably, three of our dog's nails were cut so short, leading to bleeding! As newcomers to the area, this incident has left us with no intention of returning.

An absolutely wonderful team headed by Scott. They don't discriminate against our reactive rescue dog and he has had the most amazing treatment from this clinic with general after an accident where he sliced a paw rather badly. Scott and his team have this wonderful demeanor that seems to put our boy at ease. Thank you so much for being part of this boy's new life.

Excellent. Could not have done more to help me and my cat who was suffering a life threatening medical emergency. Extremely experienced, caring and kind; both vets and nurses. Even if you don’t live in The Gap, I’d recommend taking your pets here; for peace of mind, reasonable prices and excellent after care.

Scott has a wealth of knowledge on bulldog breeds. He has been treating my families bulldogs for many year and now my bulldog. He is very thorough and explains everything well and will always look at all options for treatment. Highly recommend this Vet especially for for more complicated issues.

These guys are great. Receptionists go out of their way to answer a question they don't have the answer to, the vets are professional and polite in their surgery, and you can leave knowing you're little mate is getting the best care available on the west side, if not all, of Brisbane.

Always receive the friendliest and most attentive care from everyone at The Gap Vet Surgery. My dogs report that only the tastiest liver treats are provided by the vets as well. No wonder they practically run up the driveway.

$110 for just a 5 min nail cut for two dogs is a bit excessive. We have previously also gotten a quote to desex our small dog from here and their prices are at least double to other vets. Won’t be going here again..

Thank you for seeing my lovely cat earlier than my appointment time. She was stressed and I asked for someone to see her. Much appreciated. She got her treatment and was soon home and happy.

I can't rate them high enough. The care, consideration, thought and effort the vet gave my cat was more than I'll ever get from my own GP. Pricing is standard. Service is outstanding.
