"This place is amazing"
"I don’t like cinemas that promote hyper-sexualised society, especially when I have to walk by with my little kids and especially when a primary school is just around the corner"
"Stunning interior"
"Great vintage vibe, great staff, the only issue is that the tickets are overpriced, which I do not blame them, the management probably thinks it's the only way to keep up with big cinema cooperations"
"I spent my Sunday afternoon craving the large bucket of popcorn that I would have at the cinemas, only to find out the they had sold out all the snacks when we arrived"
This place is amazing. Friendly, efficient staff. Good value tickets. Comfortable seats. Good temperature - unlike some freezing cold cinemas - and a really great film programme. Summer of Soul was brilliant but it would have been good to have more showings at this venue. Reasonably priced snacks and drinks. Highly recommended.
I don’t like cinemas that promote hyper-sexualised society, especially when I have to walk by with my little kids and especially when a primary school is just around the corner. You should be more careful with the posters you stick on your display visible to kids of every age. Disappointing! I’m not longer a customer. …
Stunning interior. Anywhere you sit has a great view. Easy wheelchair access but no disabled toilets (from what I've seen). Lost a star for the quality of the toilets, quite old fashioned but they do work! However I do love that there's small tables between the seats, that's always helpful
Great vintage vibe, great staff, the only issue is that the tickets are overpriced, which I do not blame them, the management probably thinks it's the only way to keep up with big cinema cooperations. Would definitely watch another movie here soon.
I spent my Sunday afternoon craving the large bucket of popcorn that I would have at the cinemas, only to find out the they had sold out all the snacks when we arrived. Apart from that, the screen was too small for the length of the movie
Going to this cinema is an experience in itself - over 100 years old, it's one of the oldest cinemas in London. It feels like it too - the highly decorated interior ensures you're instantly aware of the fact you're entering an old-fashioned
We love this theatre, which has terrific ambiance, comfortable seats, and shows a good selection of films - more art-house than blockbusters. Great location and a beautiful building. The tables between the seats are a nice touch too. There
The gate is a lovely cinema in central london that holds special screenings as well as reruns of older movies. The cinema is spacious and there are sofas in the back-rows that are very comfortable. They have a good selection of snacks and
I love Picturehouse, but this one is a miss for me. It’s just the one screen, relatively small, and the room is way too long for the screen size. I was in row G and anything further than that would make it feel like living room telly imo.
Very cute old cinema that seems to be well-maintained and keeps a lot of its heritage. The seats were comfy with nice tables in between. The staff was helpful and the bar serves very nice popcorn. Ticket prices were reasonable, not cheap
Lovely old worldly cinema that's a part of the Picturehouse group. The cinema is quite long so don't sit in the sofas unless you have really good eye sight. It also felt really warm and that the air con started from the rows in front.
I was in London in 1969 and lived down the road from the cinema on Norland Square near the Holland Park Tube Station. I'm fairly sure your cinema must have been where I'd regularly see movies during the three months I lived there. The
Lovely cinema but I went to a showing of 2001: A Space Odyssey and the volume was so loud that it hurt my ears. Many people went up to complain and they did turn it down to a just about bearable level but it was still too loud.
We are currently experiencing problems with our heating system. It may be chilly inside our auditorium, or we may close if we feel it gets too cold. Keep an eye on our website and our social channels for up-to-date information.
The best cinema in London. Very intimate and cozy atmosphere with interesting films. Great snacks and drinks menu with something for everyone. Special mention to the wonderful staff who elevate the experience every time.
The flat floor means if you have someone tall in front of you, you have the back of someone’s head taking up the middle of the screen. The toilets are gross and are located in the screen room so you have a steady
Lovely old fashioned cinema with single screen showing latest films. Conveniently located in Notting Hill near Central Line Station. Friendly staff, comfortable seating, good selection of snacks/beverages.
A cozy vintage cinema, great movies and just simple setting. Sound system was very good compared to how old the cinema is. Tickets prices were fair, although the chairs felt bit rough after a while. The
Lovely old cinema, but wrap up as quite cold inside. Does not have a cafe per se, however there is a wonderful Italian cafe right next door with friendly service and good coffee.
Incredible cinema, lovely and helpful staff, extremely comfortable seats (probably the most comfortable I have ever been in) and a gorgeous screen. Cannot recommend it enough!
Best cinema in London. The most authentic. Most interesting films. Kind staff. Great membership deals. Comfy seats. Full of history and finger on the pulse of film.
Worst theatre experience of my life, go anywhere else - terrible service from the employees and female manager and absolutely dilapidated and run-down venue.
The atmosphere in here is still as great and much more comfortable as when i first came here to see david lynchs wierd film Eraserhead 40 odd years ago.
Loved the old theatre feel. Comfortable seats - we sat on the couches in the back. Reasonable ticket prices and prices of snacks. Really good popcorn.
Honestly, just a really cool place. This is a go-to spot for my friend and I for movies! Definitely a theatre you should experience.
One of It’s kind, beautiful cinema that shows many classic movies, not that crowded on weekdays, it also has a mini bar.
Amazing one screen cinema in old theatre style. Best row’s for optimum viewing are K-P.
Simply amazing! My kids love our Saturday cinema dates here !
Amazing pop corn, great facility & welcoming staff.
