We had our wedding at Glenmore Inn early December 2018 and we can't say enough how great Glenmore Inn was. We met with the catering and banquet manager, Cindy, she was so experienced and a pleasure to work with. She answered all our questions right away and made us feel so comfortable. She showed us the banquet room and it was spacious and beautiful. Before we decided to go with Glenmore Inn, we tried their dinner buffet (because we wanted buffet for our wedding) and there was so much good food, so many varieties. On that day, we also got to meet the chef, the banquet manager, and the general manager. Everyone was so nice. They talked to us to see what we wanted at our wedding. We decided to go with Glenmore Inn and the planning had been so easy with Cindy. Whenever we had a request, she responded so promptly. On the wedding day, all of our guests were happy with the food, drinks, and service. Our best man told us that the banquet manager kept checking in to make sure everything was going well (a level of attention that we have never seen from anywhere else). The whole evening went so smoothly. We also got a complimentary suite for that night and the room was very comfortable. We want to say thank you to the Glenmore Inn team for making our wedding so special for making the planning process as easy as possible. From talking to the staff, we truly feel that you are a great company and we will recommend Glenmore Inn to families and friends.

Stayed at the Glenmore Inn during a volleyball tournament - hotel was booked by the club. Staff was super friendly - no complaints at all. Rooms are old, dingy and smell TERRIBLE. It smelt like the room had been smoked in for years mixed in with some mold. It was so stale and hot that I nearly threw up when we walked in. I immediately turned on the air conditioner, but the smell got worse because it smelt like it was full of mold. Because it was the first floor, I couldn't open a window to help at all. We immediately changed and left for dinner, and I stopped to get some saje diffusing smells to help with the nasty odors. It did help a bit... but it was very difficult to get a good sleep when you're choking on stink. The next day, 3/4 of us had a shower and noticed that the bathroom fan didn't work - so now our room was a stinky sauna. My husband called the front desk and they did come in to repair the fan (YAY). I've never complained about a hotel room before - especially when I don't have a choice in location = but that was difficult to stay in. Also - because it was a premier weekend for volleyball - the hotel was packed and the restaurants were under staffed. It took an hour for the waitress to bring us the bill. IMO - the hotel should ensure proper staffing if they are going to accept reservations from several large groups on one weekend.

Attended a banquet, food was okay. But no cards out to say what the items were, so you had to ask the chefs as banquet servers didn't know. Staff in the banquet hall, were efficient in taking away empty plates from the meal. And at times taking away you cup when having coffee or tea, and you want more still. Banquet hall manager, was very rude (both in manner and the way he talked to me). I asked why table decor was being taken away already, when it was only half way through our event. He said it's not part of the ambiance of the room, and people steal them. Our table was still full of people, and we asked to keep it until we were leaving. Be prepared to pay $2.50 for a half can of pop sized glass. A bottle of smirnoff ice is $7.25. No refills or discount on pop for designated drivers. No designated area for smokers, so as soon as you exit you are getting blasted with the smell.

Average room. Front desk staff is great. My clock didn't work, they found me a new one. There were also able to move my room farther away from the noisy pop, and ice machines. Train tracks in vicinity, take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
Food & drinks
Food is average, drinks for banquets are over priced. More than at a bar!

Hotel was located in a really great location for where we needed, however we struggled finding it the first time. Rooms were decently clean. However, we asked for towels and we had to go down to get them it took so long. Internet was horrible, and there was garbage bags and food left in the hallways overnight. The beds were quite small and uncomfortable and the sheets and blankets were not nice. The sheets were see through and I don’t think they used a proper fitted sheet. It was a flat sheet over the mattress. The food was yummy, we enjoyed that, but no hotel breakfast sucked. Staff was friendly. The bathroom light had a nightlight attached which was awesome. But when you turned on the light the fan kicked on and that was annoying. The shower drain drained super slow and was maybe clogged? The water pooled up so you were standing in a few inches of water while showering. TVs were tiny. I thought a garden view meant a view of a garden but it was a restaurant instead which was disappointing. The AC wasn’t very cold either! Overall it wasn’t horrible but definitely a few things could be improved upon.

It wasn't good. The only reason it's 3 stars is that the front desk staff were accommodating and extremely polite. Booked a queen room, got 2 double beds. I'm 6'5, 250, a double is not big enough for my wife and I. Beds were hard, not comfortable at all. Room was hot and stuffy. No AC, there's a thermostat on the wall. We had it set as cold as possible with the fan on low and it was still very hot in the room. I understand some people need it warm this time of year but I've stayed in cheaper hotels that had individual room AC/Heat control TV (this is minor but still a negative) was smaller than I've seen in hotels half the price. Had to have it very loud just to understand it and could barely read anything from the bed TL;DR will not be staying here again. I can find less expensive and better appointed hotels in the city

This review is specifically about the weekend dinner buffet: I do NOT recommend eating here unless you are looking for a cheapish dinner buffet with very low quality food. The price is $25, which is not unreasonable, staff was friendly enough, however the food was a major disappointment. Prime rib was overdone and fatty, seafood pasta was lacking in ingredients and flavor, buns and dessert were stale and obviously out for way to long. Cutlery was dirty and overused. The only thing that was okay was the cold beets and hot horseradish. If you're looking to eat multiple plates of poorly prepared food this is the place to go. Disappointed as we've been for the brunch before and I don't recall it being that bad but that was a few years ago now so things may have changed. No passion or care put into the creation of their food sadly.

We stayed at this hotel for almost a week while transitioning to the new house from out of province. The price was not bad we requested a weekly rate and emailed the person who was in charge of weekly rate but we never heard back. we checked in to the room with a baby and the heat was not working in January we called the front desk right away and they sent some one to repair it which took half-hour while we were standing there so exhausted from our trip with a baby. I would have really appreciate it if they moved us to another room right away since we haven't even used the room yet instead of keeping us waiting. The next day we were trying to turn on the Tv and Tv was not working we called again and some one came to fix it and mentioned that the cables in the back of the TV were not in place. The staff were friendly and nice and the room was a little old but clean.

We had booked on Expedia that morning on our way home. After 15 hours of hot heavy traffic driving we arrived. The night clerk was pleasant and quick. A long walk to our room. After we had gotten undressed we discovered clothes and food in the room. I called front desk. They apologized and offered to move us. I was not dressed and extremely tired. As the beds did not appear to have been sle in I decided to stay. Talking with the manager in the morning. She repeated that as I had booked and paid through Expedia there was nothing she could do. Besides they Had offered to move us. I asked about a future stay and was told I could have $10 off. Hhmmmm...I don't think worth it with now unsure of just how clean it might be.

We went to the Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre for the first time for a group get-together. The hotel doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside is a whole other story! The lounge has nice comfortable seats that encourage you to stay awhile and the service was good. Our group enjoyed the buffet in the Garden Court restaurant where prime rib and turkey was on the hot line. There was soup and a salad bar. The dessert line has a frozen yogurt machine and the desserts were replenished as quickly as they went. There were lots of options for kids, adults, and seniors alike. Overall the inside was very contemporary and relaxed. The service was so good that I wouldn't hesitate to book an event here.

Beds were sooooo comfy. A++ for that. Everything clean. As far as price point for July in Calgary it was good value. Friendly staff. Super accommodating. You can just tell the hotel is old. No extra plugs at all so you have to unplug a clock, lamp, tv, etc to charge devices or plug in medical equipment. There’s only 2 bedside tables so not everyone can access to one. The bath tub drained very very slowly so it means you’re in ankle deep water while showering and the next person has to wait for it to drain before starting. and the parking lot smelled like sewage. If you get a higher floor the view of downtown is really pretty!!

We stopped late and the gentlemen at the front desk on night shift were wonderful. Every staff member we encountered was super, front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff I guess you could call the rooms dated if you were being super picky but they were super clean. The beds might have been the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. I literally stumbled upon this in the middle of the night and we will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality and major props to the night shift front desk men, I appreciated them a lot.

I spent 4 days there. The “girls” at the front desk we less then friendly while the chambermaids were nice always said hi or good morning with a smile. The front desk snobby girls were to busy on there phones to even acknowledge your presence. The key card I received had the corner pre chewed before they gave it to me. Was a little disgusting .The restaurant was nice. A little pricey but still Good friendly service. The room temp seemed to change around on its own even when you set it yourself. Hot at night cool in the morning plus With two people sitting at the front desk doing basically nothing all day besides instagram twitter Snapchat the rest of my time was fair.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Clean and spacious rooms. Free parking. Room had a fridge and microwave. Only negative about the room was a lack of USB charging ports. Very good wifi on the 4th floor where we were. Great access to glenmore trail for travel into and around the city. Decent breakfast but too close to other diners, especially loud diners, but unfortunately Canadians are very loud in my experience. Overall a lovely hotel with a fantastic Indian restaurant in the small shopping plaza. We will certainly be back. Big shout out to the housekeeping staff, you are stars.

I spent two nights here and deeply appreciated that unlike every other hotel on my trip, the Glenmore does freshen up the room on multi-night stays without charging extra. The staff were very professional and friendly, and I fell in love with the garden court for breakfast - very peaceful way to wake up for the day. the only negative is that it's located in (essentially) a strip mall surrounded by railway tracks and major roads - there's no way to get anywhere on foot.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any place. This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area. I have been staying here for years. If you choose this place you for sure won't be let down. We were there last night for a wedding and we had a great time. Although older, the hotel is very clean and well appointed. The bed in the room was very comfy and the AC was freezing! Which was great being that it was 36 degrees last night. The jacuzzi in the room was a lovely addition

  • Emma L

The communal areas were vibrant and we loved the plants/water features. It was a little pricey for the room quality. The beds we had were stiff and if you looked closely in certain areas there was a build up of dirt and dust, as well as what looked like wax or something still on a counter, even hair was left on the hair dryer (seen when we first walked in, we didn’t even touch it). Parking lot had decent space though, the staff was kind and the breakfast was ok. Not the greatest but not the worst

I want to give a special shoutout to Brenda - She helped me get the best rates during the stampede weekend when I needed a place to stay for work. She also gave me a very good deal for my own personal visit to Calgary recently. The hotel was good, front desk staff was friendly. The rooms were well kept and clean. The beds were comfy. They give a good rate compared to other hotels. If you need a place to stay for a few days - pick them. I would recommend them to all my friends and would/will definitely stay here again.

We got in late and the check-in was fairly quick. When we got to our room, it was nice and clean, until we had to use the bathroom. The bathtub wasn't clean...it was gross. We phoned down to the front desk to tell them. One of them came up to see. The person agreed and offered another room, but we were so tired we didn't want to move to another room...they didn't offer a discount or anything. The hotel itself is in a great location that is easy to get to

Great value! Room was clean although tiles were a little stained. Appreciated the enviro-friendly shampoo and body gel dispensers. Room had good ventilation. Staff were good. Room included breakfast at the Garden Court which was amazing! Beautiful open area with fountains and plants. Servers are friendly, food was great and portions were large. Unfortunately pool was closed for maintenance, but it looked fun with a slide and hot tub. Laundry machines onsite and reasonable price.

This place is quiet , clean and comfortable! Staff is friendly, helpfull and knowledgeable! The hot tub and pool / water slide is fun . Beds are ridiculously comfortable and have a bad tendency to hold you hostage in them ! Lol The only reason I'm not giving this hotel a 5 star is there is no continental breakfast of any sort ! I thought all hotels did this now days , and if not they should !!! This is a great location close to malls also ! Thanks guys for your great hospitality,we will be back !

When driving and walking up to this hotel, I was a little worried. The minute we walked into the hotel though, it was clean and very beautiful. None of there vending machines worked wasn't able to even get a bottle of water. Even some of there ice machines didn't work had to go to a different floor just to get ice so I could use it to cool off the tap water I had to drink. Found empty water bottles under bed from last guests which makes me wonder how good do they actually clean the rooms? The AC doesn't work very well. They chard my credit card even after I paid for the room and said I will be refunded later!

For the most part, my stay was ok. Pool was too cold to enjoy, and the hot tub was by polar opposite, it was too hot. Restaurant staff were amazing, while the front desk gentleman needs some better people skills. Elderly man he was, but no need to be rude as he was. Ice machines are a long walk to find, unless your room is near it.

Front desk evening staff on December 29/22 were friendly. I believe they were Morgan, Rene, and Alanna. For the first room assigned to us, room was way too cold as the thermostat was not working and there were no maintenance on that day. Don't know why there was not any maintenance staff. There should always be one on duty for such occasions as this. I asked for another room and it was ok.

While this is a aging hotel, it is well maintained. Clean rooms and food service and bar in hotel. It's not close to anything for walking distance so you will need to drive to get places. Furniture is all kept well, and beds are clean. The decore is great all over. It was a great swimming pool with a slide and sauna. A buffet for 25 bucks with a nice open area to eat. 119 a night is reasonable compared to any other average 160 a night in Calgary. Highly recommended

Service and staff were outstanding. The room wasn’t spectacular but it was comfortable. Neighbors were loud partying into the night and beds were old/hard. Terrible sleep. Food was decent and server in restaurant was very good and cheerful. The room was very old and dark. Carpet was wore thin and bunched up. The bed was the worst part of my stay. There is a wide selection of good quality food available at the buffet and you can eat as many plates as you like. The venue is clean and the staff are friendly. Random pick for this Hotel, Turned out great. The Pub was good, burger was hot as were the French fries. Breakfast was equally good. The room was clean, and the shower had great preasure. The mattress was perfect for me. Would have no problem staying there again or referring someone.

I went to my first AA convention and it was amazing. Dinner was roast beef, was a little dry other than that was a great time.

All about the Buffet. Was great on Sat. Nite. Turkey and Roast beef. Service good. Sorry only one picture of Roast beef ... did'nt take one for Turkey. Dine in ... dinner $27cnd Lots of parking, great atmosphere. I go back often when I can for the Buffet ... very reasonably priced.

Clean and updated throughout. Great pool/water slide for kids. Stayed in an “older” room as the front desk described it and it was still updated and in great shape. Parking lot is easy to pull into for large trucks/trailers and lots of room to park. Great place to stay in Calgary.

  • Frank Stuckless

The hotel itself was very well laid out. The room I had was very well appointed and clean. However the food coming out of the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. From bones in my soup to hair on my burger, which was burnt, to a crisp it wasn't a good experience to say the least.

  • James Harris

Room was very clean and staff were always helpful. Enjoyed some time in the hot tub. Food was incredible. Big portions. Highly recommend.

This is an excellent hotel. I find no faults at all. The wait staff are kind, courteous and helpful. The food is delicious and the room is cozy and comfortable. The bed is a goldilocks, not to firm and not to soft....just right Zzzzzz. I'll definitely be back again.

  • Tetti Rumondang

The room is so dark, not modern, and just doesn't like it. The liquid soap is very difficult to get.. The hotel staff need to check and try it.. that's all

Staff are great, and the pool is way too chlorinated. The food was good. Sadly, the location has become quite sketchy to say the least.

Good buffet. Discount for seniors. Unfortunately plates are cold. It seems they turn on their plate warmer when they open instead of two hours in advance. Serving staff seemed to show little concern about the issue. Otherwise a good buffet.

The beds are super uncomfortable. They are like sleeping on a concrete slab. The pillows are no better. You don't get a real glass or coffee cups in the room. We had condensation on the inside of our window that we mopped up with a towel &

Everything was great except for weird puddle in the bathtub that wouldn't drain. That room probably needs a new one. One more thing. The gym is humid with no seeming ventilation or fan but my son enjoyed the weights and I enjoyed the bike.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOUR A FAMILY!!!! I was with my two young sons ( 9 months and 4 years old ). I got to the hotel before my husband and my credit card didn’t work - even though I just used it. The kids were exhausted and crying! I asked

I stay at a lot of hotels, and this was my best experience in a while. Staff is very nice, the facility is big, clean and welcoming. I loved having the little strip mall in the same complex, so convenient to grab some food or other needs.

We stayed in the executive suite with the Jacuzzi in suite. Jacuzzi was in the master bathroom with a tv, but cable didn't work which was disappointing, but the living room had a leather couch and a tv that did work, dinning table, extra

Went with the wife Oct 13th to the elbow room lounge for a steak sandwich. Absolutely horrendous service. Waited 10 min to get our drinks. She had 3 tables. Had to ask for food menus. After about 25 min of her looking lost and flustered

Stayed one night at the hotel, service downstairs was really good, not sure if they had a free breakfast in the morning because I was never offered that. The Internet connection was terrible to say the least. I started out on the eighth

Clean rooms, decently furnished, comfortable beds. Pool, hot tub but no sauna. There is a very spartan work out room. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. A few seem fed up. Don't expect spectacular views from your room, but
