Had a sandwich from this place. Half way through almost and I'm pulling hair out from between my teeth and found small bundle of hair embedded in the sandwich! I didn't order someone elses DNA ! Very gross experience. No hair nets or gloves? Psycologically scarred from this experience. Not coming back ever again.

my cousin and I came towards the end of the season for cherry blossoms so there weren't as many or as pretty. If you plan on visiting all the sanctuaries and gardens I'd advise you to come for more than 1 day. If you plan on coming a few times to hit up every garden it may be cheaper to purchase a membership.

After waiting over 10 minutes for an iced latte because the girl at the counter spilled the first one (its ok accidents happen), they forgot to make our iced green tea lemonade and didn’t remember what we ordered. A sorry for the wait/thanks for your patience would of been appreciated.

The food was above and beyond amazing. Buttery tarts, awesome sandwiches, coffee and hot chocolate that will make you moan out loud and croissants that are flaky and buttery. The staff was wonderful and they are set up for COVID. I recommend them highly!!

In town for a hockey tournament and stumbled on this great cafe on Yelp. Fantastic healthy smoothies and great breakfasts - eggs on an English muffin with cheddar cheese or Spanish Eggs in a wrap - perfect. Also serve lunches. Went there every day!

I was looking forward to my first visit to The Grounds Cafe. I arrived around 09:30 a.m. I ended up disappointed. The online pictures are stunning, yet the actual appearance of the coffee shop bears little resemblance. It is easy to see how

Nice little coffee shop in a suburban strip mall. We went for a quick Saturday breakfast and it was simple and delicious. They serve Equator coffee from Almonte. Nice to see them keeping it local. I had a cafe au lait and the Croissant Doré

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience. My first time there, we ordered breakfast at 11:10, got the food at 12:10, no apologies no sorry. And even then they forgot to add my sausage. So we started eating, after 5 minutes they came back with

The food was ok. Turkey club with one slice of turkey for 9 bucks?? The soup was actually good. The reason for the 1 star was the terrible, unprofessional service. They were too busy talking about friends and Facebook to do their jobs. And

We've been fans since moving here less than a year ago. Always enjoyed the food, local beers and coffee. GC recently underwent a rebrand/remodel. The limited menu is nevertheless awesome, worth a visit for any foodie! Love everything about

Came across this local cafe while on our honeymoon. We stopped in for breakfast, and liked it so much it became our spot while in town. The staff was friendly, and the coffee is wonderful. Overall great atmosphere, and excellent experience.

I really wanted to like this place, more options than quitters, but you'll never know it. Their menu is scattered around so you'll most definitely notice far more options after you've ordered. I am not referring to the round menus, but the

Wow. Just look at that chili bowl. The croissant french toast is glorious with real maple syrup. There's a casual cafe/bistro feel here that's super casual for chatting, eating, or some casual working. It's the only cafe around for klicks

The food is always great. Owner Robert is often on-site and very friendly. Staff helpful and friendly. Chef John creates many lovely meals - great variety and never disappointed. They do a perfect brunch. Ask for their homemade waffles at

This place is a nice spot that we recently discovered and have visited multiple times since. Located in a plaza with lots of parking. Every time we go it’s busy but we never have to wait long for an empty table. The staff are friendly and

Best. Sandwiches. Ever. This place has amazing food and drink, just the best I have found in Ottawa- particularly their turkey club is off the hook. Their menu is a little hard to see and read and since you have to stand up from my to see

Too pricey for what I am getting. Took a while to get the order ready. The people who order after us had to wait much longer than the rest of us. The service was OK. The older gentleman was super friendly, but the lady serving hot drinks

Similar feedback to others, so I will repeat, but limit my comments: gorgeous interior and vibe, delicious food (everything I've tried has been supreme). The staff I've interacted with ought to be sent on observational training by means

Maybe if you don't take your coffee to go you'd be okay, but if you are, prepare to get ripped off big time! I asked for a large cappuccino to go and was told that they only make cappuccinos in the medium size, which was still a decent

Phenomenal food- cute little hand written "Thank you!" notes on their take out bags, and sustainable, eco friendly packaging. Definitely a new favourite and during COVID, will be ordering from here often!!! Thank you, The Grounds Cafe!

  • Vianca Libongco

Always a favorite for us as my wife is celiac. They always make the extra effort in preparing her food safely and they never make a fuss about the extra work. If you need a reliable gluten-free brunch, the grounds is always a safe bet

The only word needed here is proper. Great value for $. A 5 is rare. This place is cafe style that also offers a really well done breakfast. The hash was perfect and not greasy. Eggs, thank you for making eggs perfectly. Over easy is

I just came back from Grounds it was my first and most likely my last visit I ordered a medium hot chocolate the price on the board said 2.40 I was told it was a total of 3.15 - I asked why so high it should be 2.70 they had changed

My daughter came to meet up with some friends and have a snack when they first opened. While sitting and waiting for her order - which took awhile - she was approached and told if she didn't order something she would have to leave.

  • W. Menard

I had breakfast, a decent breakfast for $6.95. This breakfast can compete with any other restaurant in the area selling breakfast for under $8. On the other hand, the coffee is over roasted, acidic to the point of being sour, and

I really appreciate the service at this café. I had a problem with my gift card and the manager or owner, Rob, took time out of a meeting to transfer the balance to a new card and take my order. Thanks. Support local business.

Love this little cafe! I don't drink coffee but I hear it's awesome. The food is Amazing! As someone who is gluten free I felt that they understood my needs and made sure I was safe. Will be coming back as often as I can!

Really great breakfast. Everything was excellent and very tasty. Looking forward to going back again. ...getting the food was a bit awkward...do we wait? ...is there table service?...also do we bus our own dishes.

  • Jinny Lee

Ordered small dark coffee. Taste like water...or blonde. Not sure to try again. But, wide open space is not bad. After I received the owner's reply, I respect the cafes customer service. I will try the Cafe again.

  • Olivia Lam

I'm a fan of the decor as it is modern and there is a lot of seating. The staff seem to be nice and the menu options are pretty great for a cafe. The food was pretty good and I got to select my sandwich toppings!

  • KP Cons.

went there with a friend for the first time. great scones and hot chocolate. i have never tried a hot chocolate like that before..rich and creamy. loved the industrial ambience and they also have a free wifi.

  • Maria Yousaf

Good coffee, but service could use improvements. Service is somewhat indifferent and quite slow. That being said, this is a good location for meeting up with friends. Lots of seating and not terribly busy.

  • Shred Lemming

Decent food and friendly staff. Conveniently located next to a grocery store. It's cheaper for me to eat there and go to the grocery store full than going in with an empty stomach and going mental.

  • Robert Lloyd-Rees

Purchased a take out for 2 Friday. Salad & soup 2 ham and vegetables - garlic bread & 2 deserts. 5 stars excellently prepared good size severing . So ,so good. Absolutely no complaints.

I'd never been to The Grounds prior to the pandemic. Someone told me they did breakfast to go, so I tried it. I didn't know what I'd been missing, and I've been going back ever since.

  • Dale Deutekom

Went for weekday breakfast. Enjoyed the meal but found the bacon a little over cooked. Wife really enjoyed her espresso. I would reccomend this place.

  • Carmen Desjardins

Very fresh and delicious bakings and the coffee is great. Menu has good breakfast and lunch to offer. Really nice ambiance too! Love this place.

  • Jason Au

Ample parking and easy accessible entrance for our baby stroller. The outside is kind of unassuming but inside was very spacious and clean.

  • Dave Kerr

OK. I'm a bit of a scone freak. I love scones. Donuts - meh. Montreal style bagels, great. But scones, and biscuits - those I love.
