This is my 2nd review. Google tries to dissuade me from reviewing Home Depot. Two days in a row in July I have purchased a large quantities of goods and have not been able to exit the contractor exit. 6 customer trucks, 2 forklifts, assorted merchandise, plywood carts, and garbage filled the covered loading area. They were all there when I entered the store an hour before. No one monitors the situation. It reminded me of the aftermath of that explosion in Beirut. Home Depot does not seem care that this is a fire hazard. One day I waited 5 minutes just to get out through the doors. I eventually had to move a half dozen plywood carts to escape the store with my purchase. Not being able to exit a store is a serious liability. The next day I had to push 300lbs of drywall half way around the store in the pouring rain to reach my vehicle. The exit closest was again blocked. I loaded my truck in the rain too. The loading area was filled with people who had used it for parking. I saw a man with two red flags on stick waved them about pointlessly beside a man who couldn't drive a forklift if his life depended on it. He should use the flags to direct traffic. Review 1) The store is a mess. I parked by the centre exit doors. There were no carts at all in the huts. I entered from the south entrance as it was was closer to the toilet merchandise. A shopping cart can't accommodate a toilet. There were no flat decks to be found so had to walk to the North end. None there either. I had to get a plywood cart which only holds a toilet on its side. I walked down the centre ailse to where the toilets are located but had to backtrack 6 aisles as every aisle was blocked with pallets or garbage or buggies or ladders or intrusive displays. Finally I got the toilets and me, 60 years old with a bad back from 30 years of construction had to struggle to load the toilet myself while a dozen employees held a standup meeting 10 feet away. To make experience even worse after paying at the centre check-outs I found out the doors were broken. They've been broken for days. I took my purchase to the south doors closest to my truck but was told I couldn't exit. So, I had to go back to the north end, wait to show my receipt before exiting and then walk back to my truck near the centre of the parking lot. Good times.

On Tuesday March 1st, I ordered one big piece of plywood and six 1X6s to be delivered to my house. I asked them to be CUT to 53"X48" and 53" respectively. The guy who took my order went over the dimensions with me in the store again and again. He even repeated the dimensions to me at the end, and it seemed like it would be no problem, and that they might even cut it in the store after I left. My delivery date was to be Friday. Here it is, Friday, and the boards ARE NOT CUT! I paid $198 for this all told, and the boards are frickin' huge and barely fit in my apartment. I had originally ordered these to reinforce my bed frame. I don't have the type of saws or anything like that to cut them myself. And when I try to call Home Depot on the phone, it hangs up on me constantly. I want them to take these uncut boards, bring them back to the store, cut them to the proper size, and deliver them again. Well, they did get back to me after making this mistake but it was a pain to get ahold of them. I tried calling every department in the store and they never picked up the phone. I had to use their online chat bot thing, and that took a long time, then that person had to contact another person who actually worked in the store. Then I finally talked to someone in the store to whom I explained my problem. They agreed to pick up the uncut pieces and drop off the proper pieces and to refund my delivery fee. I had to wait around until 5:30 when the new delivery arrived. And you know what? They delivered my cut boards, along with the leavings from the giant boards they were cut from as well, that I didn't want. So then I had to find a way to get rid of these pretty substantial extra pieces, by giving them away on craigslist.

Made a purchase of some wood, router, screws, and a batter for the router here. They never put the battery into the cart and I got home and realized it was missing so I phoned them (30 minutes after the transaction was completed) The person on the phone advised me to come and pick the product within the next two days. They said they had recorded my name and I just needed to go to customer service and give them my name to pick up the product. I came in the next day to pick up the product and was told that I needed to know the name of the salesperson in order to pick up the product. At which point I came and spoke to three managers there was no record of me calling the day before, and the only thing they could do was escalate to their loss prevention team. They spoke with the cashier who “didn’t remember the transaction, or anything to do with it”, but after they spoke with her a second time “she remembered placing everything onto the cart” Wouldn’t recommend coming here as they don’t follow through on what they advise you when you call with an issue with a purchase. Check your bags thoroughly prior to leaving the store to make sure you have everything that you purchased. Managers were not useful in solving the issue, and were not helpful, more accusatory of why I would leave without bringing all my purchases with me. Management team is incompetent and does not stand by what their staff tells the guests. Not a great experience to say the least. Out 150.00 for the item with nothing to show for it.

If you want to return something do it in person. Over the phone they will deny their ability to offer a refund and will just tell you they can give you 50% off a future purchase. I bought spray paint which I was told would cover a much larger area than it actually would. I expected to buy one can based off the square footage the employee told me it would cover, and I had to buy 3 and it still wasn't enough paint. I spent $54 and still needed more paint. I would have just bought the liquid and some brushes instead of the aerosol if I had known this wouldn't be enough. I assumed the paint I bought might have been a defect batch because it covered so much less than expected so I called and asked for at least a partial refund with the intend of buying more paint with the money so I could finish my project. They told me since I had used the product that they couldn't offer a refund just 50% off more paint. It would have cost me at least $70 twice as much as a can of liquid paint. They acted as though I should have known the square footage that the employee quoted me was wrong. I talked to someone in customer service and someone from the paint department and they were not helpful and super dismissive. I went in to the store in person and spoke with Van in customer service. She was super nice and offered me a refund right away and gave some advice on what products I could try instead. if this review was just about Van it would be 5 stars.

We purchased a washer and dryer from Home Depot and set up a date for delivery and hook up. The installer arrived and delivered the appliances but refused to do the hook ups because he said something was in the way. My partner said he would move what was causing the issue, and that it would just take a minute or two. The installer refused to wait and said we would have to make another appointment (which seemed ridiculous to us to drag someone out on another day instead of waiting a couple minutes). We ended up doing the hook ups ourselves because we couldn’t wait for a second appointment. I called home depot to tell them about what happened because it seemed like horrible customer service, but the person I spoke to did not care at all and simply told me the installers are busy. I can certainly appreciate they are busy, but not waiting 2 minutes seems very extreme. Be cautious of purchasing anything from home depot that requires at home service. Had I know how unhelpful they would be after we spent a couple thousand dollars on appliances I would have purchased them from somewhere else with better service.

I love Home Depot!! Definitely surpasses its competitors in price, product quality, and customer service. I had a great experience last week at Home Depot (HD) @ Terminal Ave with an associate (Lucy L.) She’s exceptional at customer service with expert kitchen design skills. A big thank you to Lucy for going above and beyond to help solve some of my kitchen problems. She answered all my questions and was very creative in solving my renovation design issues. There’s a Home Depot that’s closer to my house. I drive the extra 5km because the service (Lucy/Emily) and product range far surpasses all other HD locations in the lower mainland. Customers appreciate honest and expert advice. I hope head office acknowledges employees. Show your customers corporate is listening and values our feedback. I’d like to shop at a store that values its staff. So Please do that. People matter

I had another bad experience of racial profiling today!! Falsely, accusing me of stealing, when they found nothing on me; after I left the store!! I don't have a criminal record either. I left the store today, as I didn't feel comfortable spending my money, when I'm being stalked, and watched closely! Such a uncomfortable feeling. All week I was in there, and spent $200 as I am working on a project. I like to walk around, and check out items very closely, as it gives me ideas of what I want to do! For different designs, crafts, and how I want my place to look. I am a creative, and artistic person, i want my place to look, and feel like a home. It esthetically looks beautiful, feels cozy, warm and inviting. i want it to be more practical. That's what I love about Home Depot. I love the different products they have out on the market. It educates me.

I went in to Home Depot on Terminal the other day to rent a drill. I own a drill but couldn't for the life of me find it anywhere and needed to get the task done. All I needed to do was drill a few holes of various sizes into a wooden box (to hide charging cables for my devices). My plan was to rent the drill, do the job there and then and then turn it back in. The guy who helped me was Ken. He was a super nice guy. Not only did he not charge me for the drill, he drilled all the holes for me while I held the box in place! You just don't get that kind of service or total customer service attitude much anymore and I really appreciated it. It meant a lot to me. I go to that store a lot and this just made me feel even better about the place. Thank you very much for your help, Ken! You're a good guy and Home Depot is lucky to have you! Derek

General state of store: Disorganized and ignorant. Allow me to explain. I had to ask FIVE staff members for the same tool. Finally told it was only available online, AFTER, four staff members sent me to four different intra-store locations. The store is a filthy, confused mess. Dust all over the place. Dirty floors and aisles, product up and down wrong aisles, garden hoses left in top of BBQs etc. Just pathetic. Centrally located, but pitiful service and product display and placement. I will not be coming back. UPDATE: And to demonstrate how pathetic this store is, management/ownership provides me an opportunity to further my complaint only by Twitter/Facebook or Instagram (I'm on none of these, how bout an email?) I have thus downgraded this review from two stars to one. These people are beyond ridiculous.

I went in to buy the Milwaukee combo M12 set that was on sale. Website said they had three in stock. The tool guy seem like he doesn't know where to look for it. Looking at the M18 section when I told him it's the M12. He said I seem to be very knowledgeable. Then he said that's a very good deal for that much in the set. He says it must be wrong...we went to another Milwaukee display section. Nothing he could find. He said wait fifteen minutes and another tool guy will be here. So waited and he showed up and said ya I have been looking for this a couple days ago. I ask him why didn't you remove it from inventory so I didn't have to waste my time driving there and wasted another half hour. He just said why don't you buy the loose set instead. Well, it's cheaper to buy in a combo set. Very disappointed

Normally I would never do this, but in our new move, Home Depot has messed up three times. First, the toilet that we ordered didn't fit, because they failed to identify that the skirt would affect the fit. Second, the microwave came in, the installers said it wouldn't fit and left, and then we had to call them back to tell them it would fit, and reschedule the install (it did, in fact, fit). The home depot designer oredered the wrong colour for our blinds, and the blinds installers left huge gaps, left scratches on the walls, miss-measured one window so now one doesn't have a blind on it, and left a huge mess in our place. Additionally it is a two month wait for the right colour. We have used Home Depot for years, but the last few weeks have left us drained and disappointed. Never again.

Home depot advertise doors and windows installation; Unfortunately they told us CENTRA WINDOWS is their installers and suppliers and this is where the problem started - CENTRA WINDOWS did visit us and promised us a quote for the next day its been a few days now, I followed up with "my Rep" he's still radio silent when we called their office they said they are quite busy just keep calling the rep and see. My suggestion to Home Depot is to recommend other companies or take more control of their windows and door division, having Home Depot name attached to this type of companies may harm their image We found out while waiting still there are a bunch of other companies offering the same or better products with beautiful portfolios and they are very happy to take on the job

While I do have a bias towards enjoying Home Depot I am also keenly aware and have experienced employees who do not really know their section. To some degree I understand this and accept it as part of a larger employer picture. My wife's and my experience buying a vanity set up, however, was made truly enjoyable by a woman who found us looking at faucets. Her apron bore the name Blessing and we came to know this was entirely appropriate. She helped us well past our initial query and seemed to take on the project as if it were hers to invest into down to the last detail. She was knowledgeable, fun to shop with, and well exceeded our expectations. We had a great time and felt totally secure in our decisions with the apt and encouraging advice. Thank you Blessing!

Man was I ever in a pickle I got a free countertop dishwasher and the attachment wasn't clicking on to my faucet properly. So it turned in to quite a head-scratcher after several hours online and a visit to a plumbing specialty store who also went to great lengths to helpe out, sent me to home Depot where the associates went above and beyond their duty to help me figure out how to attach this to my sink so I am very grateful to them. I'm quite handy and know how to fix a lot of things and am often spoken down to buy male associates especially but these two associates worked very hard to troubleshoot this with me and I am sorry to all the other customers because I did dominate their time but they solved a huge problem for me and I'm forever thankful.

  • Penny Smith

Kind of disappointing, it's very hard to find someone to help you. Especially when you're looking for something towards the back of the store, especially with all the heavy stuff are. So you really have to go out of your way and search for somebody. The girl in the front doesn't know. I showed her something from the website and asked where it might be in the store, she wasn't sure herself. So I don't know who they hire. Why these people have no idea where anything. This place is hit and miss. They have everything you need. However, it's a hassle to get help and to find what you're looking for because nobody's there to help you. They have everything you need here. This store has it all but sometimes customers need assistance.

I'm not usually one to write a bad review unless I am absolutely appalled, and I have to say that the wood cutting staff at this location who helped me on January 21 in the afternoon was HORRIBLE. Granted, Home Depot offers 3 complimentary cuts to any wood and shelving pieces you purchase from them. We even drew out the line exactly where our plank is to be cut, and literally this staff produced three, very visibly different length plank pieces afterwards. I understand that it is not an exact product but when each board is visibly different, this is just carelessness and a lack of care with customer service and quality delivery. Home Depot, time to hire a different staff who cares about the job and cares of customers!

  • Victoria Karoline

Edit: dropping to 1 because I was told by an employee that understaffing has been a #1 complaint for years and upper management never prioritizes resolving it. That shows disrespect for employees and customers alike, all in the name of profit. Home Depot, in general, needs to step up their game! The saw is broken half the time, the staff doesn't know their products, it takes 20+ minutes to get through on the phone and even then it's usually to the wrong department. I often spend more time in the store trying to find someone to ask a question than I do at home actually working on my projects. The only reason they get 2 stars is because they're still often the only place I can find the thing I'm looking for.

TOOL RENTAL REVIEW -- I was recommended to rent a nail gun to fix the fallen bottoms of my kitchen cabinets so i did but the nails proved to not be strong enough for my repair job. Took it back to home depot and also brought my cabinets in with me and explained the situation to Ken Nguey and Saksham. They quickly identified that I needed a much stronger staple gun to perform the repair so instead of charging me for one, they took one from the rental section and helped me repair my shelves on the spot as it required an air compressor which i didnt have access to either. My shelves are fully repaired now and I am extremely happy with the service I received. Keep up the good work guys!

Went into this location today to exchange a swifter that was sold to me missing a piece. Customer service was very unfriendly from the getgo. Made me wait over 10 mins for John T to come and approve and he was rude and dismissive. Acting as if it was my fault it was broken. I even called them out for being unfriendly and the lady’s response was “ok”. This John guy needs a meeting with his manager about simple customer service skills because he lacks the basic skills anyone working with customer should have. Avoid this location if possible. I even asked for a receipt of the exchange and she told me she can’t give me one and wrote with hand writing on the receipt.

  • Amanda Vincent

All in all, an excellent experience that will draw me back to Home Depot again. Needed to buy a washer and dryer. Chose Home Depot after much research (online) as having the right models at the best prices. Went to the store to finalise my choice and was entirely pleased with the visit. They had a good display of many appliances. I was helped by a great staff member called Gloria Miranda, who was knowledgeable, capable and efficient. Apart from her professional expertise, she was also friendly and attentive and guided me through various decisions well while offering what discounts she could. I left having ordered the washer and dryer I wanted, most happily.

  • William Wang

Came in to grab a couple moving boxes at 6:55pm, 5 min to closing, found my items as the announcement came on that the store is closed. As I speed walked to the till, I was approached by a staff member who said, and I quote: “we’re closed, Will you please hurry up” - bro, I’m literally on my way out, not to mention that’s a terrible way to speak to customers. As I approached the till, the cashier said to me as I’m walking towards him - “we’re closed” like bro, I know, I’m walking towards you with my items. Listen, I get everyone wants to go home but this is 2 min past 7 and I’m on my way out. You guys need to work on your customer service.

I have ordered cooktop and paid for installation at Home Depot. The installer was from Quick Contractors -too bad you can not choose the other one. The first time he didn’t show up ,the next time he told me without even looking that it will cost me additional 150$ on top what I paid at Home Depot and I have to pay now and their receptionist offered me to re schedule if I am not paying right away! So rude! Plus it was my second day off. So ended up to pay total $300 for installation of Cooktop! Complained to Home Depot but nobody cared to call me back . PLEASE FIND YOUR OWN CONTRACTOR DO NOT USE QUICK CONTRACTORS SERVICES

  • Martin Foisy

Home depot, regardless of the location, is and always has been excellent. I was greeted upon entering the store and directed to the proper section where I meet a staff who was able to answer my questions. Better yet, the staff gave me a few small parts (screws) for free and explain the alternative to my problem. I ended up following this advice and bought a new faucet where I was also welcomed and advised properly on the right product to purchase and the assurance that it would fit the existing place. Thank you home depot for training your staff the right way and to give them the proper knowledge to advise your clients.

Yesterday, I went to the Home Depot terminal branch with a large list of items to purchase for my company. I was confused looking for items. The floor staff were helpful, but I came across a gentleman whose name was Kevin, if I remember correctly. He was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable in every department; he made my shopping trip less stressful and found all the items that I required. Even an item that was thought not to be on the shelf, Kevin took the extra mile, brought out a large ladder and found it for me in no time. I really appreciate your help Mr. Kevin! God bless you. Many Thanks, Karim

  • Sara brown

Kinda disappointed with the painting department on my recent visit. Usually, on an average visit, if you stand by a section in the store for more than a few simple minutes, staff will ask to help... I was in the section reading labels, standing looking puzzled I'm sure. I was attempting to find the correct product to use to seal my basement wall. There are many options for various uses and surfaces. This department is busy. There was at least 5 different staff who saw me, as I was there for over 20 mins, reading labels. Not one asked to help. ... I could have asked but, guess I was waiting on them

  • Corey

I went to the store looking for 2m tape measure that their website said they had 17 of, this coming from the Burnaby location where the website said had 78 but couldn’t find it. Spent 20 minutes looking up and down the isle with no sign of it. Went to a floor person for help and all they did was point me back to the isle I came from. When I tell them I checked they not only don’t bother helping me they just don’t even bother doing anything and said they don’t have it like the Burnaby location. How one loses 95 tape measures is beyond me. The service at this store is as poor as their inventory control.

The most home depot of all home depots: Friendly, professional and knowledge staff. Last time I was looking for drapes with specific sizes and requirements. The woman (I'm so sorry I forgot your name..) in the blinds/drapes department helped me out and went above and beyond. I mentioned this was my first time replacing window curtain fixtures and she was very accommodating and helpful based on my novice experience. She provided a lot of advice and suggestions from the type of fixture down to the color of the drapes. Overall with her help, my decision on this purchase was fast and efficient.

My experience today was beyond imagination of a person be so kind and helpful to the others and his name was SAURABH he was working in garden center and his help was beyond of a person could do as a staff, while there were other staff take it easy and try to do to minimum. This is an opportunity for me to say thank you so much to him for being so honest for what he does as a staff works at home depot, myself and my husband are so thankful and all our good wishes and our blessing for him to stablish himself for greater future as a kind honest pure hard worker . Thank you Best regards

I just want to say that I experienced exceptional service at the Home Depot, Terminal Ave., Vancouver today. When I asked for directions, I was taken to the place where the plants were, and Olive, bless her heart, she actually loaded in my topsoil for me. Everyone was in a very customer service oriented mood, and it was a real pleasure to shop there. The choices of plants were abundant and they were all good quality. However, the prices have gone up quite substantially since last summer. It is still my “go to” place for home gardening materials.

  • Angelo Mior

I have been at your store four times in the last two weeks, and i was very satisfied of the help I got from Sarah at the blinds department previous employees they told me they didn’t have any because the compute was showing none .Sarah was so nice with a great idea ti grab the ladder and check the upper shelves where she found four. Well done Sarah much appreciated. Also another good and pleasant and knowledgeable employee is Ed Millworker where I purchased insulation, three bundles of base board and other things. Thank you Ed well done .

Bill from Tool Rentals, such an amazing human being! We had to book a van for moving and gave him our number, he called us back as soon as a van was available. We forgot to get out insurance papers, he patiently waited for us to return. It was near closing time and there was a long line of customers, however, Bill did not lose patience and assisted everyone! He is the best at what he does and his patience, customer service & attitude is commendable! This was the best customer service experience I've had in my entire life! Cheers to Bill!

DO NOT RECOMMEND! I have had a horrible experience buying a set of washing machine and dryer from this store. I have had the items out for delivery for over a week and they have not delivered yet, each member of personnel seem to have a different opinion as to why. They have been uncaring and unfriendly. I am very disappointed since I used to enjoy shopping at home depot. Hopefully they'll be able to change things around but until then I would stay away from this store as much as possible, It is simply not worth the headache and energy.

To the southeast of the store…where Glen drive ends there is a dirt road. At high noon most days if you clear your mind and let go of all earthly worries…a spirit will appear. Follow the spirit to the garden centre where you will enter through a secret side door. You will be invisible to all the humans present. Take 1 of whatever you want but ONLY 1. And make sure you go back exactly the way you came to exit this parallel dimension or you will reside here forever separate. The spirit will bid you farewell when your journey is complete.

Went to Home Depot to purchase a new fridge. Start to finish, it was quick and easy. They have a wide selection to choose from. The only down side was when we received our Fridge, there was 2 small dents; one on each side of the french doors. Sid Moosavi, that works in appliances was the one that helped us from the time of purchase. He was very helpful and resolved the issue immediately. I enjoyed the experience of purchasing with Home Depot. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely purchase at this location again.

  • Tami C

Another amazing experience at Home Depot Terminal (Vancouver). I had a very complicated return, 3 items, and 3 different scenarios, but Nifemi handled it perfectly! She investigated, got to the bottom of it, and was a rockstar through it all. A manager had to come in and help, and he was great as well. This is not my closest Home Depot, but I will go out of my way to come here. Every single staff member I deal with is awesome, with a huge care meter and so willing to help. You can tell this store is managed well!

  • Katherine Lauriente

This Home Depot has just about everything that you could ever look for! Today though I came to get garden hoses, nozzles, and I was hoping to get some plants. The hoses and the nozzles were a very good price point and seem to be good value and construction. Unfortunately I found their vegetables a little picked over and the prices a little steep still. But if I had been looking for flowers, oh my goodness did they ever have a fabulous selection and they look very healthy as well. Their staff was very helpful.

  • Simon Tso

I just had the best experience at this Home Depot. I'm a beginner trying to make some decorations for an event and all of the staff here went above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed. Everyone was so helpful, especially Basant, who answered many of my beginner questions and took a lot of his time to help me cut wood into the pieces I needed for my projects. He really cared and wanted me to succeed. I really appreciate all of the great service I received and friendliness I experienced!

  • Jonah Eckert

I came looking for a shop vac. Asked the first person I saw who sent me to the wrong department. The next staff member tried to send me to the kitchen and bath section. I had to ask him to look it up on his phone. Finally found the right section after 15 minutes of time wasted. A good reminder of how undertrained the staff are at big box retail. This is why I should choose a small independent store any day. Home Depot happened to be open an hour earlier. My mistake for not waiting.

  • Flora Posteschild

It's a Home Depot. Good selection; usually can find what you want. Staff are scarce, but you find that everywhere -- all the ones I've interacted with have been knowledgeable and pleasant. One area that needs work is the garden centre. Plants are consistently stressed, dried out, not the best quality. This may be their cost-cutting buying policies, or it may be, again, not enough staff to care for them. Look carefully and only buy the freshest and healthiest.

A special shout out to John, one of the managers, on shift tonight, Saturday, March 27, 2021. Went to this Home Depot location after the glazed pots I wanted was no longer available at another location nearby. Got to the store only to find out that the pot was $4.98 rather than the $2.00 in the first store I went to. Told John about it and without hesitation he matched the lower price. Really appreciate him and the rest of the staff for being so helpful.

  • Ross Judge

It's obviously a go to place for lumber, hardware, plumbing and gardening stuff, but not only is the place kinda.....how do you say corporate feeling, it's also very expensive there They have their experienced staff in sections for help, but they only know about the stuff in their store. Smaller gardening places have real experts and lumber, hardware etc there is also a good selection of other places that are smaller with quality stuff too

  • Yassi Nikkhah

As soon as l stepped into the store, a lovely lady welcomed me and showed me where I could find what I wanted. However, the store was busy lots of staff were around and helped people. The name of the gentleman who helped me was Aashish. He was so knowledgeable in a minute; He showed me what I needed. Then gave me more information around. It was so beautiful experienced. I highly recommend this location which also is convenient for parking as well.

  • M T.

Thank you to Tim and Sid for giving very useful advices for home appliances. Without your help, this process would be so much harder. They both worked above and beyond our expectation - they not only answered all our questions but also suggested things which we would need in the future installation process. They helped us save time, money as well as prevented stress for us in the future. They were both very kind, understanding and efficient.

  • Xianzhao Huang

The return plolicy helps a lot and many Home Depot employees on duty were very knowledgeable and helpful. But a few need to sharpen their skills and the more important thing is to like the job and to be willing to devote. The online information is useful and helpful, but not detailed as the information provided by their US website. It's a VERY BIG store with concrete floors. All good stuff. If you have bad knees or other mobility issues please understand the size is about 4 square blocks or approx 1.5 square kilometers! And it's always warmer than expected as it's INSIDE not outside. I am disabled with added mobility issues and I always struggle to "shop" there. I recommend using there website so you know exactly where to go inside. Save your knees.

Great experience with Calvin. He went above and beyond in his service . I was looking for grout cleaner in isle 4. He was walking by towards the cashier area and when I asked him he walked me all the way to the grout isle in the back of the store. (He could’ve just said isle whatever) I then asked him about grout scrubbers and he walked me back to isle 3 and picked it out for me. That’s service above and beyond .

The 1 minute key copy machine is a must! By far, the location at 900 Terminal Ave, Vancouver is great place to invest. I have experienced in each visit that the employers are so knowledgeable. I received a great advice today and I grab a Varathane Aged Wood Accelerator and a Watco Butcher Block oil & Conditioner for my new furniture design project, and as a cherry on top, right outside is a beautiful street art.

  • Callie Service

Huge selection of home improvement and gardening supplies. The staff are helpful and friendly. Keep an eye out for their seasonal transition sales, and always check a few different products to make sure you get the best price (deWalt impact driver and screw kit was only $50 more expensive than just the impact driver, but you got 2 batteries in the kit, and a certificate for another pkg of two 20v batteries).

Not a lot of traffic in store nowadays. I'm surprised by a worker there (Philippine lady)telling me to Google what I want to find. Excuse me, do you want to keep your job? Why do they hire you? If you cant answer, then let me know, I'll ask someone else. I don't need to come into store and let you tell me to Google it. Why do these people have a job? The store manager have been informed. Wasted my time!

  • Grounded Raven

Great store and very helpful but thier phone communication is horrible. I have called the store on terminal Ave in Vancouver. 3 times now I have been sent to the rental department and it rings then canceled my call 3 times I have called the direct line to rental department 4 times and no answer then dropped my calls as well. I would suggest going into the store or order online. Very frustrating

  • Random Dogs

Tim from the appliance department at the Vancouver Terminal location provided the absolute worst customer service. It wasn’t just poor service but actually offensive. Everyone that I shared this experience with was appalled. It was so bad that I had to cancel the order and purchased it from Trail Appliances. I could not in good conscience support a company that allows this type of behavior.

  • Johnny G

Great location, finally found what I needed. Went across the whole lower mainland to find this. Watch where you're driving, things can get dodgy pretty quick. What I thought was a camping ground of digital nomads was nowhere near that. My fault for being so presumptuous, egg on my face. From now on I'll never walk into another person's tent and ask how much Bitcoin do you own.

  • NaNa Kulmala

I bought a piece of wood board there as my computer desktop, but I forgot to bring a measuring tape. The Mexican uncle at the cash register kindly lent me one. Then, they also offered free on-site cutting service for customers. I had a small piece left over from the cutting, but the technician said it was okay to leave it there. I really like their customer service there.

  • JC Pinheiro

Store is way understaffed. Trying to find help is a mission. And when you do they hardly know what they’re talking about, likely because it’s not their department. If you call you can wait 10 mins to talk to someone, just for them to take a message for a call back. Only one part time role posted on the site so management/head office clearly keeping the headcount tight.

  • J Y

Was a little short staff but also the person being served had many questions. The person serving them was patient. Ivy (at Terminal window covering) was very helpful and friendly. Not only she gave her honest advice she took the time after cutting my blinds to show me a demo on how to install. Very happy with service today at Home Depot Terminal Ave location.

  • A. Munaf Mughal

Well organized and maintained, also, one of the most cleanest washroom/restrooms for their customers. The drawback of Home Depot is most products prices seemed higher than competitors although they claim price match. And another disadvantage or disappointment Home Depot does not have a good loyalty program such, neither any good sale/promotion offers.

  • Mark Mokanasingham

Today I had bad experience with Ivy. I have been shopping with Home Depot for several years. I never seen a lady like Ivy. Not even smiling or talking politely. Finally, she didn’t want to give her name. If she has done her work correctly no need to worry about giving her name. Finally Mgr Vijay came to the spot & got her name.

  • George M

Saw these toilets at home Depot and the visuals it put in my head ruined my day, if not week. Vacuumed assisted flushing? Good lord, maybe put down the steak and eat a salad? 7 cue balls, maybe the family should flush individually instead of doing a family flushb? Otherwise I would have had a good experience, got some plants and some gorilla tape.

  • Mira Filipovic

I was picking up an order of blinds that were very long in their shipping packaging at this location. A Sales Representative at the Customer Service desk, Burton went out of his way to help me to bring them and fit into my car! He was extremely nice with excellent customer service skills! Thanks again Burton, HD can be proud of employees like you!

  • Chung Liang

Great location, lots of parking, well stocked, and easy to locate products via the web app. Like always, shop around other non big-box stores for better pricing on building materials. HD I've found to be on the mid-range for lumber price if buying bulk. After today's visit, I was quite surprised by the abundance of staff available for assistance!

  • Meg

Bought a washer dryer from Home Depot today and the staff was amazing. The lady helping my was named Gloria and she was extremely informative, helped me out with what washer/dryer would work with my space as well as what the differences between all the models are. All round awesome experience, machines are arriving next week to be installed!

  • Edward Dev

This store is very well organized. The staff is very friendly, flexible, and willing to help. Connor in the hardware department has been running around to help me find different things. He also showed me how to use the pipe cutter. The customer service manager is also very helpful! Thank you, Home Depot! Good job …

  • Yash Chawla

I had received such a caring and Knowledgeable service from Della at this location. Even though it wasn’t her expertise , she went out of the way to help me find all the items; those I was looking under a lot of stress to get a problem fixed at our house. Keep up the good work Della! You are very nice human being!

  • Daniel Beaverstock

I was told that my delivery of building materials would arrive between 8AM and 12 Noon of Thursday. It is now Friday Noon, and still haven't received my material. I could understand if my delivery had to travel a great distance, but 7 or 8 city blocks! Come on! Does anyone care about my bloody deadline!?

  • Jessica Jo

I’m a lady that not own any tools. I watched couple of YouTube videos and went to Home Depot. I don’t remember who was but I felt so Lucky with that staff whom were so knowledgeable in tile department that day. I grabbed stuff that he recommended and I Literally, finished washroom by myself. Thank you!

  • Corinna Klebe

I have phoned at least 5 times and waited upwards of 17 minutes while the phone rang & no one answered. When I called back 3 more times the voice said if you want English say English, so I said English. The voice said it didn’t understand and then hung up. I’m very disappointed in the lack of service.

  • manouchehr asraei

Most of the time I perches my materials from this Home Depot because parking is convenient and they Mach the price, today I bought drywall wall the cashier Jasjit was very helpful ans even call for associate to help me loading my truck that young man was very helpful and nice too, I forgot his name .

  • Dan Horwood

The place wasn't overly busy which was nice, keep in mind my visit was mid week at the start of rush hour. The staff were efficient although during this visit not overly friendly. (I FIND THAT THE SERVICE IN THIS MANNER IS VERY HIT OR MISS) They had what I wanted and used the self checkout.

  • Jason J Richardson

The staff on this day was informative and efficient. What I liked most was that they wayed in my options for the drain snake I rented. It seems simple enough to an average person and even more simple to a trades person like myself but they got to the point with questions and alternatives.

  • Evan Benson

The product I wanted was damaged and they offered me a discount that did not make up for the damage so I bought a different but similar product. I got a plastic storage shed for my balcony. Construction was simple enough and the product seems fine thus far. Greg was reasonably helpful.

  • Janna Hamill

It's a review on a carpet cleaner rental. Overall the experience was good. The cleaner does good job, compact and easy to use. Quick to rent. But they don't really clean this machine and pretty stinky. I needed to rinse and clear water to run the old water out first then finally use.

  • Daranne

Was not impressed when I arrived. After working all day in the sun doing rebar, the tool I needed wasn't there. When I looked online, it showed it was. Then when I asked staff, didn't have an idea what I was talking about. Maybe they were new, IDk. Be avoiding that store for awhile.

  • Tony Finch

Had supplies I needed but when talking to 2 different employees they had no idea what I was talking about. Looking for self tapping drywall screws and they were both working in the hardware section. If home depot is going to employ people they should be qualified and knowledgeable

  • Scott Musgrave

I dare you to try calling and see what happens. The automated operator can’t put you through to any departments and never understand anything you say, even when you repeat what it gives and example to ask for. Then they just hang up on you after the second try. So frustrating.

  • Morgan H

Lots of great prices and very cool gadgets! I will note that the lady in charge of the self-checkouts was extremely good at what she does. Amazing customer service, and that feels great since it's lacking in so many places. Great experience here. Give that lady a raise!

  • mali abbasi

We had an amazing experience thanks to a kind employee who assisted us, Umish. He had great customer service, helped with informing us about the different qualities and options for vanities. I really appreciated his honesty and helpfulness. Overall a great experience!

  • Ethan Shu

Great location, easy in and out Home Depot associates are hit and miss (like all businesses these days). If you want experience, patience, and kindness (very hard to find these days) Ask for BEN (5+ stars) Hands Down he's the best HD Associate I have ever dealt with.

  • Bay Shore Auto Group Ltd

Lucy was amazing at helping me buy a laundry machine, she approached me which was great she was very quick, we finished the pruchase in less than 10min. This is by far the best HOME DEPOT i have visited and i will only come here and do business with Lucy. Thank you

  • matthew friesen

I like that it's your one stop all you need hardware store including garden supplies and plants. I didn't know until recently that you can even rent small excavators, large generators and many other pieces of useful equipment. They will even show you how to do ma

  • Mali DS

The store is well organized and clean. Maybe not the biggest, but for sure you can find almost everything you need for your home and garden. Quick update: the best garden center! I found here plants that I couldn't find in nurseries and at an amazing good price.

  • JW Kruper

The staff weren't up to par. A couple of my friends have commented as well. Uninformed or just not interested. I've actually asked an employee recently to direct me to pre mix concrete. To which he responded " oh no sir we don't really sell home reno stuff."

  • Dominic Rechner

Easy to get to building and hardware mega store. Went in to buy a bunch of casters, which they had. (Whenever I've needed something from rat poison to specific screws, they've always had it.) Easy to get to, easy to get out to Terminal. That's my highlights.

  • MOHSEN SANEI

Home Depot has been always my first choice, but this time, in the last working hour of Sunday, I totally experienced a very higher level of service, provided by these Gentlemen (Goe and Samar), moreover, their product knowledge was impressive as well.

  • Holly Monday Janus

Overwhelmingly huge and slightly understaffed, but the garden centre associates seemed very knowledgeable. A great selection of tropicals, especially large decor plants. I recommend buying your plant pots elsewhere! What I saw was very overpriced.

  • Jason

Very large garden centre with a big selection of various plants and tropical plants. Most of the plants are the same ones you will find at high end garden stores but much cheaper at Home Depot. Staff friendly and available to help when needed.

  • Laurie M.

I’m a Home Depot fan. They have everything you need, knowledgeable, friendly staff and a reasonable return policy. I’ve had them go above and beyond in service. Sometimes they get crazy busy and may seem a little understaffed, stay kind folks.

  • Jer Man

Tried to call to see if they had a product. The phone literally rang for twenty minutes. Not on hold, rang for twenty minutes. We just wanted to see how long it would ring for after a while. Do not bother calling the store, there is no point.

  • Angad Ladhar

Francisco was a great help. He knows his products and was able to help us with our queries within minutes while also teaching us how we can go about it in the future. If you are in hardware needs at Home Depot, Francisco is the guy for it.

  • Peter Kieser

Store opens at 7 am. Nobody scheduled to work in paint department til 8. Manager tried to help but wasn't able to. Suggested I wait around an hour for the person scheduled to show up. No offer of discount for a waste of my time.

  • Fortino V

We had a kitchen Designed by Izabella at Home Depot on Terminal Ave. Oh wow! She's a thousand times more skilled than her colleagues in other Branches. She's attentive. Friendly and the Princess of Customer service. Big thanks

  • Jen

Good location with lots of free parking. The garden centre is great in the summer. Also they have a good selection of outdoor furniture for sale and it's a bonus that they stage a lot of it, so you get to try before you buy.

  • Lou Anne

Similar to other locations. Typically well stocked. Service is friendly. It's a busy joint, especially on the weekends. If you want to get wood pieces cut do it midweek or early morning or else you'll be waiting a long time.

  • N NC

NAM LE , he really helpful , he helped me alot around to pickup some things around garden, heavy soils bag , , bringing them to pay , to my car... Such a very nice helpful, friendly, nicee guy. Thanks a lot Nam Le. …

  • Greg T.

Able to rent a van fairly quickly. Booked online 2 days prior and received an email about 10 hours prior confirming my reservation. I got the van within 10 minutes of my arrival. And returning it was equally quick.

  • SS Sze

I am so disappointed the garden box i got from Home Depot Terminal Ave. today was broken, used, wet and muddy. I don't know how they put such horrible item on shelf. It smelled so bad and very gross!

  • Amee Chande

Extremely helpful staff ans great selection. Umesh personally helped us find everything we were looking for and even kept my 4 year old engaged while we worked through my list. Amazing service.

  • Randy

Staff there are very helpful with the right information and suggestions I've been there several times and have always gotten the right product and tool for repairs to my RV and my generator

  • keh depermit203477

Very good customer service from staff, "Raj" in the tool department. He helped me quickly find a drill I was looking for and also placed an order for a sale item available only online.

  • Anderson Reeves

This location only carries one style of patio string lights after talking to an associate so if you’re setting up your deck for summer it may not be a one stop shop to do so here.

  • Manny K

This is the best home depot. I got some lumber from here and Nikhil.N helped me alot. I recommend everyone to ask for Nikhil.N if you are looking for something in Lumber section.
