The John Wornall House and Alexander Major’s House are like my second home. Everyone does a great job in bringing the history alive. Not only does both houses have Paranormal Investigations but also camps for children, Christmas events and many others. History never dies but the staff and volunteers do a great job in preserving it.

We went for their Christmas tour. I would have liked more history and info about the house and grounds. Our tour guide wasn't very aware of her group or the info. There were parts that we did love, such as the musical portion and the kitchen tour. If everything were like that it would have been excellent.

It's an amazing and exciting place with great History. I love it here because it's haunted. Yes, I love being scared but as a group. And it's no joke for a good experience you will never forget. Always carry with you Holy water for safety. ❤❤❤ …

Very educational and interesting. Our first time to Kansas City and it helped update us on the history timeline. Our photo shows a shadow figure in the right side of the mirror. And another photo shows sunlight bending and another small dark figure. See pics. More

The building is really cool, the staff is informative, and the history is interesting. You can do daytime historic tours, and sometimes they offer night time lantern guided tours talking about paranormal occurrences. The Missouri Paranormal

A fascinating house museum that tackles the complex stories of slavery, the Battle of Westport, and the influential Wornall family. Our house interpreter was incredibly knowledgeable and had a knack for giving is space to explore while also

Great place to go to learn more local Civil War history! We were the first ones there and enjoyed the whole house to ourselves on our self-guided tour. We probably should’ve chosen the guided tour (and highly recommend that since there is

Had a very good time on this tour of the John Wornall house in KC. The docent was informative & patient. Think of what it was like to live way back in the early-to-mid 1800s, then into the Civil War, with Loose Park close by. This was the

Loved this tour! I actually did it with my family back in 2017 and I remember the feeling that came over me when I was walking around listening to the stories and looking over the old items. I came across this photo from the tour again

Life in the mid 19th century, in REAL life. The Wornall House was built by John Wornall. It remained in the family until the 1970s. It was rehabbed to original condition has made it the most authentic reminder of the time period. It is

I’ve passed this place so many times and finally got a tour of it. So much interesting info and tour guide definitely knew what they were talking about. I heard there are reenactments there too so I’m intrested in seeing that

Went during the week. Enjoyed having a tour guide all to ourselves.House taken and used as a Civil War hospital for both sides of fighting soldiers. Good to know about the history of this Wornall family.

We missed the tour that we wanted but thought that we would give it another try. We had a one on one tour that was very informative. The guide answered all of our questions with interesting stories.

Really cool experience to see where we have come from. Learned more about the region during the civil war in one tour than reading a history book could ever teach and makes it more real

Good experience. Very interesting! I would have preferred a live guide to answer questions and learn unique facts. The information boards blocked the items and the view.

They should specify that their ghost tours are a tickets in advance event and that they typically sell out weeks in advance. But otherwise it's a lovely facility.
