"Great atmosphere"
"Between art house and mainstream theater, St"
"One of the only theaters in the downtown-ish metro area that's easily accessible"
"With the location being so close to everything downtown and northeast, i was expecting a super small, dinky theater"
"Great films and wonderful staff who welcome you with a pleasant attitude"
Great atmosphere. Some of the best movie theater popcorn I've had. Seats are comfortable, but they do not recline. Screens are large and sharp, and the sound was also great, even in the back. I did hear the ventilation kick on, which irked me, but the rest was so great, and the movie got loud enough that I didn't care.
Between art house and mainstream theater, St. Anthony Main has a small feel, but nice screens and plenty of lobby hallway room. Food (and wine) can be brought in from the restaurant next door, so give yourself time if you are hungry to do that first. No reserved seating, so you have to play it by ear. Great date spot.
One of the only theaters in the downtown-ish metro area that's easily accessible. Good prices and shows both independent films and the major pictures. Good snacks too. Only mild complaint is that it can get pretty warm in the theater. But I do love this place and will definitely be back.
With the location being so close to everything downtown and northeast, i was expecting a super small, dinky theater. We got there and were super pleased with the staff, concessions, comfort, and movie experience. Very cute and convenient, and also has good discounts available!
Great films and wonderful staff who welcome you with a pleasant attitude. Absolutely epic movie theatre. Hopefully the new administration in the white house aides local businesses the CORRECT way. #Vote45OUT #VotingRULES #DownWith45 #WeNeedANewAmerica #BringTheBlueWave
I absolutely adore the Main! It's practically the only movie theatre I go to anymore. If I ever go to a different theatre I feel guilty like I'm cheating on the Main! They are always playing such interesting movies and I love that they show
Love this theater! The rooms are clean, the seats are very comfortable, the prices are reasonable, the sound is quality, the staff is friendly, the popcorn is yummy and comes with choices of various seasonings, and they serve wine or beer!!!
They show a mix of new and classic movies. Good prices, we walked but parking could be tricky. Seats are comfy but starting to show their wear and tear. Will definitely be going again, looks like they have some great deals on different days.
St Anthony Main Theatre is a classic movie theatre on the beautiful banks of the Mississippi near downtown Minneapolis. I've been frequenting this establishment for years. I love how the staff is friendly, helpful, and cool. The atmosphere
My boyfriend and I enjoy going to this theater. And it's literally within walking distance from our apartment. The team there are friendly and knowledgeable of their establishment, the community neighborhood, and what they're presenting in
This theater offers memeber ship and normal tickets as well. Ever Thuseday have an offer of around 5 $ tickets. This theater While seeing from outside, we feel like theater is very small, but once you go inside, you feel like comfortable.
Worst movie theater experience ever. I went to an evening showing of the last duel and in the last 10 minutes of the movie the projector went out. And then it started again 5 to 10 minutes later and went out again. And again and again. I
A quaint, homey movie theater that shows the latest. I recommend walking here and enjoying an afternoon movie, followed up by local eats, and a walk down Stone Arch Bridge. Seating is smaller than modern theaters, as is general capacity
Enjoyed a few documentaries tonight at the cinema as part of the MSP International Film Festival. The filmmakers attended some of the showings and answered questions from the audience. Extremely well run event. LOVED "Being Mary Tyler
We saw Maestro!! My only complaint is the parking situation. Loved the movie-- could have used captions. I have a hearing loss. I wish there had been a 4:30 pm start, but I always get late arriving, so might not have made a difference.
Andy and Tori are excellent hosts! They made it effortless to enjoy the movie. Quick concessions, reasonably priced, and a solid variety that won’t give you analysis paralysis. I ordered a Pryes Miraculum and Peanut M&M for under $10.
Fun theater. They had 2 beers, 2 cocktails, some wine, and lots of other non-alcoholic options. And the standard movie fare of candy and popcorn. Seats were comfortable. Overall a good movie experience that wasn't super overpriced.
Amazing local movie theater. Great prices and great movies! You can also buy tickets online (with $2 service charge per ticket) but totally worth it if you're worried the show will sell out and still cheaper than the big theaters!
There's a variety of movies including new stuff as well as locally produced, foreign, and art films. The seats could use some new upholstery, but otherwise the recent updates have made this a great theater.
Excellent location, can't beat the prices, decent seating and great selection of movies and showtimes. Staff are incredibly friendly and quick. Restrooms can get very crowded at the end of a show.
Beautiful theater, the overall experience was great and the staff politely answered my pestering questions about the building and area as they were in the middle of closing.
Very nice theater, fantastic location, reasonably priced, good concessions, friendly, helpful staff. I especially appreciated that the bathrooms were scrupulously clean.
Support your local independent movie Theater! This is a classic and run by the MSP Film Fest crew. We were lucky to see Barbie recently and will be returning.
Great option for movies, locally owned by the MSP Film society. Comfortable seats, clean theaters, affordable prices, nicely located in St. Anthony Main.
This theater is great every day, but take advantage of the Tuesday night special - - $5 admission and discounts on popcorn and soda pop.
Loved the small Cozy place! Accessible pricing on entry snacks and drinks! Only downside can barely find parking!
Great remodel!!!! Chairs are updated, new concessions options, staff and popcorn are as good as you remember
Great theater to catch the independent movies. Not your suburban megaplex. Home to the U film society.
Very cute theater. Very scenic area. Love going to midnight mayhem and walking around the river
Comfortable place with great snack choices. Street parking was a breeze the day we went.
