John brings in amazing music! This is made all that much better, by the fact that it is an intimate seated venue that is set up with a listening audience in mind. I love that he has the calendar posted months in advance, so you can plan your trips to the Moonshine. This truly is a special place!

A great place all around. Everything ranging from the owner, to daily live music, the regulars, cold beers and bbq food cooked in front, rain or snow (the wings are worth the visit alone), just makes this place and it's atmosphere something special. Can't wait to visit again.

What an awesome little bar. The band sounded outstanding and the service was top notch. The owner was not only serving but cooking each order on the bbq outside for that taste. Very impressed. Bands each night and the cover and prices are all minimal for a great outing!!

There are live music shows every night, and the sound system is perfect. It is recommended to call ahead and reserve a seat. There is parking at the back of the building (65 John Street), and it is about an hour drive west of Vaughan.

Not many places like these anymore, it really is one of a kind. Staff is so welcoming and kind, and music is always fantastic. I’m always looking forward to go back. People there are also really friendly so you’ll meet many friends!
