I was so disappointed with this meal. The food wasn't too terrible, but it was insanely overpriced and the menu descriptions are not accurate. For 20$ you only get four pieces of fish and a side of fries for the fish and chips. The Cobb salad I ordered was delivered warm and wilted. The Reuben my fiance ordered was the best, but still not exceptional. the fried mushrooms were okay. The bread pudding was the worst. It was so dry I couldn't even swallow it. I didn't taste the toffee sauce and it was virtually inedible and I'm not terribly picky so it has to be really bad for me to not even eat it. The cost of the meal plus delivery charge was 120$!!!! I could have gotten gourmet cuisine for that price. All and all, the food was just grossly overpriced for what it was. I'm so disappointed! Maybe the experience would have been better had we ordered in person with some beers. I'm not sure. And the food was here within 20 minutes of ordering it on door dash which makes me think it was pre prepared earlier in the day and reheated since it was a fairly large order. I definitely won't be wasting my money here again.

Outdoor dining 3/21/2021. Both indoor and outdoor dining were available. All the tables were taken at 1pm and I had to sit at a single stall with a shelf of plywood used as a table. That part of 24th street is loud with a lot of traffic. There are trees next to the parklet so expect dogs to be peeing near you while you are dining. I had the Irish breakfast $19 and a pint of Guinness $8. It was two eggs over easy, Irish sausages, Irish bacon, black and white pudding, baked beans, a grilled tomato slice and soda bread. Everything was perfectly cooked. Eggs were runny. Irish sausages had good texture. Irish bacon crispy, but not too crispy. Chips were kind of peculiar for an Irish breakfast. The chef should have used either mushrooms or potato farls. Other than that, my meal was fine. It is nice they had my favorite HP sauce here. Service was excellent. My bill today was $33 with tax and tip. Good job everyone at the Napper Tandy!

Witnessed a white server rudely yell at people to clear the sidewalk. Some advice for the establishment if people loitering is so horrible: Don’t set up shop in San Francisco. If that’s not possible, then maybe don’t put a flipping TV in the middle of the sidewalk and get upset when people on the sidewalk start watching TV. Awful and frankly embarrassing behavior in front of customers and the greater public. To the snarky-snark replying to my review: My day was perfectly fine, thank you. Wish I could say the same for your rude white server who was threatening to turn off TVs because brown peons dared to glance their eyes at the giant screen you installed on the public sidewalk. You don't know what race has to do with it? Maybe open up a history book more than once every 18 years. My god.

I walked in thinking ok, a traditional hub with typical hub food. Boy was I surprised! The food options were great and the food itself was even better than that! From the soup to the pesto chicken sandwich to the fish! In addition to the amazing food, the entire staff was incredibly kind and attentive!! I’ll definitely be back when in the area

They were so sweet with my kids. There’s plenty of space in the back for the kiddos to be a little loud.

This is my new go to place. The service is incredible as the drinks and food. It's refreshing having something other than chinese and pizza and mexican. I love the pot roast and the corned beef. The fish a.nd chips are what everyone I know gets. They are crispy and excellent. Oh their appetizers are to die for I like them all!! Especially wings onion rings and potato skins. People are friendly just an all around great place to sit outside with friends and enjoy the day. Thanks for letting me have my bday there had a blast!!!!! You rock Nickola!!!!!

Lively bar with great service & great food. Thanks for turning on the Tottenham match for us, the deep pours of Jameson & the cloverleafs on the tops of our Guinness! The Irish Benedict was tasty with crispy rashers and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned & crisp. Irish breakfast is huge and was also very good. We will be back

I came into The Napper Tandy on a Saturday morning in search of the "hair of the dog." It was quiet and peaceful, and there were plenty of comfy seats available. Our waitress was very patient with us while we deliberated over what to have, and kind enough to leave us alone once it had come to the table. I really enjoyed my time here, and would come back again. My only suggestion for improvement would be to deal with the fruit fly issue - there were a lot of them in our area and it was disruptive to our time here.

In the middle of the Latino Cultural District on 24th, between Mission and Van Ness, there is this Irish pub with pleasant staff and food to die for. The Guinness was so good, just like they serve in Ireland. The server had amazing muscular guns, omg. The bus girl was very nice and her accent was Irish for sure!

This place is like the show Cheers, everyone knows your name. Except for mine since it was the first time I visited. Irish breakfast is great, wasn't a fan of the bloody marie, but the Guinness is delicious and properly poured. Great crowd. Parking isn't fun but you'll figure it out. I will be going back

We looked for parking for quite a bit and were excited to check this place out after reading all these reviews but sadly, we left pretty annoyed. Waitress never came around our table after serving drinks. Then another couple sat near our table who were apparently regulars here and they were able to place their orders right away. We waited another 15 minutes or so, went inside to pay the check and left. The place wasn't even busy. I don't get it.

An excellent spot to gather, set in a great spot in San Francisco. Staff were awesopme, the food and drinks were great, with a refreshing twist from the expected, and the atmosphere was overwhelmingly friendly and welcoming! Highly recommended to visit!

Great beer selection! Their corned beef and cabbage plate was very delicious but way too small for the price we paid. We also had to wait almost 2 hours before being served our food. Other than that, it was a great visit!

My neighborhood Irish bar. I lover Irish accents and the servers are all Irish so there’s that :) TNT is not at all pretentious, super casual, and it way better than your impression of bar food. I love the soda bread, and the southwest chicken salad was amazing (bring it back please). They have a fair bit of outdoor seating and have tv’s outside so if sports is your thing, TNT is a once stop shop :)

  • Fernanda Gomez

Was there multiple times during the WC it was packed and the atmosphere is great. It does get full so prepare to stand if you don’t mind. Giving it a 4 star because when I’ve ordered food there they took so long almost 1hr or more and it was during the week when it wasn’t busy. Other than that this place is recommended!

Great food, great vibe, great sports bar! Carla is incredibly fun and friendly and totally makes this authentic Irish pub a place you'll never want to leave. Always fun music playing, good pool table, large projection screen TV for big games. Super fun trivia night on Wednesdays, all you can eat fresh fish and chips on Monday. There's so much to Love here, especially when Carla is working

  • Charles Brannon

Everything you'd want and expect of your neighborhood Irish pub from authentic soda bread, corned beef, mouth watering fish n' chips or shepherd's pie, and an impressive selection of drinks. Complete with brown sauce two ways! Definitely check it out.

I love this bar! Lisa is the best bartender and server in the world! The food is outstanding and the drinks are stiff like they should be at a real authentic Irish pub. Smiles and good times is what you will experience every time you visit. If heaven is half as cool as the Napper, I'm good to go at any minute. Lisa, you rock baby!

June 22, '23 Michael & Patrick at the helm tonight and they did not disappoint! August 24, '23 Still just as nice October 26, '23 The crispy buffalo chicken sandwich was delicious. Added a side of bleu cheese dressing for dipping both sandwich and shoestring fries

Great green beer and drinks for st pattys day. The reason it isn’t 5 stars is because I ordered corned beef and cabbage and paid 22$ for it and they gave me ham. Literally two small ham slices. What a lie!!! Ended up paying for that but also ordering another meal cause I was still hungry and disappointed.

  • Elsie Militar

It is a great bar but the food is also delicious. I love their Reuben sandwich. Workers are cool and the atmosphere is down to earth. Outdoor seating is available and they have a TV outside to follow the game of the day.

A good neighborhood Irish dive bar with decent pub food and a nice selection of beers. Plenty of screens to watch the game or fights while enjoying a nice cold pint. Servers were nice and attentive. Overall everything you could want in a low key neighborhood joint.

Come here often for happy hour. Food is great! I highly recommend the shroom burger and the tater tot nachos. Very good food for a bar. Service is good too. My only complaint is that it often gets busy and there arent enough servers when that happens.

This is a real deal Irish bar nestled deep in the Mission. The food is seriously hearty and delicious. The bar is run by an friendly Irish family, and it also attracts Irish expats and non expats alike. It's one of my favorite spots in the city. More

Ignored for the first 30 minutes. Only one bartender and like 30 customers. Food took 20+ minutes to come. Burger was greasy. The place overall needs to be more clean. Maybe it was just a bad day to visit, but they could improve.

  • Alton Yu

Love this bar. I go there for decent food and the UFC events. No matter what I get, I usually have fries. I like their shepherd's pie, corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, and burgers. I haven't had anything bad here.

  • Sanara Pippins

Simply put: I’m an Oakland native and resident. I LOVE this bar!! My husband lived in SF for years and took me to The Napper Tandy: drinks, FOOD (hella good, honestly), Irish waiters and SF locals. I love it, I love it!!!

Best covid bar in SF. Period. Also tasty burgers! Best hangover breakfast ever. Location is beautiful. Yeah this place rocks right now. Oh and 6 dollar margaritas all day, why aren't you here right now.

What a great place. That afternoon with 7 margaritas, wings, chips & rancho dressing stay in my memory forever. love the vibe! Bless the Irish House. Quesadilla the other day was also nice!

A drunken Santa bearish gay man sat at my table during UFC 231 and engaged in unwanted conversation. Waitress shuffled him toward the front where he yelled at her, out of sight from us.

It’s a perfectly serviceable neighborhood Irish pub. Not too touristy, and just right for a local spot to watch the game. A little rough around the edges but that’s part of the charm.
