I have been eagerly waiting for my results and it was supposed to be announced on the 18th July! My pgce university is asking for my qualification certificate and proof and I’ve been delaying it because I’ve been waiting for open university to hand in my results. Now they’ve said it will take another 6 weeks so I have to wait! Why is it that we have to hand in assignments on time and if we miss it then that’s our fault but we pay fee and the university can’t do their job properly! I am so close to losing my place at my pgce university and I’m so stressed! This is pathetic and not professional at all! I would like to sue the university and I would advise everyone to avoid this university because of lack of professionalism!

I have studied with OU as well as other universities for many years. I hold three degrees with OU and two with other universities. I can confidently say that the teaching I received was at least equal, if not superior to that of other 'brick & mortar' universities. Distance learning requires to be self-motivating and some discipline, but if that is present, then the help and advice given by OU's structured teaching is simply superb. I have sent queries to my tutor and got replies very quickly, often at weekends, sometimes near midnight. Similarly, the community of fellow students became life-long friends. If you are wondering whether to take a degree with OU I would say - go for it.

Working for them as a Student Recruiter I have realized that this is just a business with no focus on it’s students. Shame to see that this university is all about making money... education is not their first priority... such a shame! I would not recommend working for them or studying with them

Good modern building. A bit hard to get to of the bypass just go slow and you will be ok. Friendly staff.
