Eureka, I found it! After having to endure several unpleasant experiences at several different mediocre restaurants, through a stroke of luck we came upon this gem of a café in a city that we had never visited before in our lives. From the moment we walked in that morning, I could immediately get a sense of the professionalism and friendly demeanor of the staff. We sat down and a server immediately came over with our menus. We were both starving and looking at the menu and glancing over at an adjoining customer's order, it appeared that we were going to end up very satiated by the time we finished our breakfast. I ordered the Bronco omelet and my partner ordered the Trippy Hippy Vegan Hash. While sipping our waters and looking around at the numerous other customers eating, I imagined that there would be somewhat of a wait to produce our order. It couldn't have been more than 6-7 minutes later that our waiter brought over our food, piping hot and looking delicious. The portion sizes were huge and the whole arrangement of our orders was done with care and attention to detail. We both ordered coffee and our waiter came over a few times to see how we were doing and refill our coffees as we worked our way through this wonderful meal. The veges and ham were fresh and sauteed just right as was the hash browns that accompanied my order. It took a while to finish this feast but I took on this challenge willingly and with enthusiasm. I would highly recommend The Park Café!

I knew as I pulled up to the converted house turned into a cafe that I must have stumbled onto something. There was nowhere adjacent to the building, be it the small parking lot or on the street to park. I parked down the road and watched for about twenty minutes (I was on the phone with my mom and she wouldn't let me get off) I saw multiple cars pull out of the parking lot only to immediately have the spot filled back in. When I finally hung up and walked in I was amazed that this quaint area was absolutely packed with customers. I was told it would only be about ten minutes to have a table and five minutes later I was sitting in their outdoor patio under a propane warmer. Even though they were at capacity I was approached quickly for both my coffee and my order. Everything on the menu looked good, and every dish I saw looked delicious. I asked for a recommendation and the waitress told me that the most popular meals were the Michigan hash and the French toast plate, but if I like corned beef she recommends that hash... I do. So that what I ordered. The breakfast was delicious, the coffee was kept kept full, and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside watching the park across the street. All in all it felt like a busy Paris cafe in the middle of Salt Lake City.

First time visiting The Park Café and we were blown away by the customer service, the portion sizes, the taste, and the price. Everything was stellar. You can tell right off the bat that the ingredients they use are fresh. The blueberry and strawberry jam on every table are made in house. The portion sizes — oh my goodness! There’s no way you’d leave this place still hungry and the menu prices are all reasonable thanks to how much food they give you. The customer service was also amazing — all the wait staff were attentive and friendly. Our coffee cups were never empty thanks to them. The owner is also on the floor working just like everyone else, which is a huge plus to why this place is running so well. The only downside of this place is its size — the building is quite intimate and small, hence not many people are able to be seated inside at one time and the wait time for a table might be a tad bit long for some. The hours are also limited, they close around 3pm and are mainly targeting those that love their breakfast and lunch. Despite these limitations, they still deserve all 5 stars because the atmosphere, the quality of the food, and the customer service make up for it. This is the type of place where you can’t really go wrong with any menu choice, everything tastes delicious.

The Park Cafe isn't just a Salt Lake City staple; it's a trendy spot that always hits the mark. Situated in an unbeatable location, this place offers fantastic food. Surprisingly, the prices are more affordable than you'd expect, and what's even better is the option for half orders, perfect for trying a variety without breaking the bank. Consistently, the coffee is fresh and delightful, complementing the always made-to-order food perfectly. The dedication to freshness shines through every pot brewed and every dish prepared. But what truly sets this place apart is the outstanding service. From the welcoming hosts to the attentive servers, everyone at Park Cafe creates a family-like atmosphere that enhances the overall experience. Whether it's breakfast, brunch, or lunch, their menu boasts consistently good options. It's a go-to spot where you can rely on every visit for top-notch food and welcoming service

Well rated restaurant so I wanted to try. Great options for everyone. Mainly breakfast menu but they have salads\soups and hamburgers or sandwiches too. Service was the best I had in a long time. They brought animal Crackers and water for the kids right away. We didn't wait too long before being served. Food was okay. I have high standards being French. To me it lacked taste but it was great overall. We ate outside since we were a bigger group (9 people, inside they only have 2 seats tables I think)and it was really nice. They might have 5 parking spots in front of the restaurant but you can park by the park across the street. They have bathrooms and changing table for babies. I tried the FLF (french toasts). It was perfect for our group lunch in between res butte garden and boating at a reservoir near by. Not sure I'll go again but try it!

I love love love the food options!! The gluten free pancakes were amazing! My wife got their special but I can’t remember which one she got. They do have a gluten free bun but we did not try that since I’m the gluten intolerant one, not my wife. I grabbed the corn beef hash and it has the perfect amount of hash compared to the rest of the ingredients. I would definitely order it again. The side of sausage was also super delish! Not over or undercooked. We went during the peak breakfast/lunch time so it was a bit loud but you can sit yourself. Fast service and they’re super nice. One request. Clean the bathroom door! Especially near the door handle. It has yellow/brown finger prints on it and was not very pleasing to see when opening the door. Overall, 4.5/5 just due to the bathroom cleanliness.

It was my first time at Park Cafe for brunch. Reached around noon and had waited for ~40mins but, the wait was totally worth it. The staff were amazing and service was decently quick with the amount of people they had. Ordered an omelette with rye toast. The omelette was covered with cheddar cheese on top and it was delicious. Cooked to perfection and The Park potatoes were really good. Except for finding a parking spot, I’m glad to try this place out and definitely be back soon. Definitely recommend.

The food is AWFUL! I don't know why people love this plane. Absolutely disgusting. I've been a couple times and hated it. They say their French toast is the best in Utah, if by best, they meant the worst then sure. Because this is the worst French toast I have ever had. I'd recommend skipping breakfast if this is your only option. The potatoes were okay that's it. The only thing that was palatable. Add all the crowded tables 1 foot apart from each other so cramped your elbows are hitting other people at their table and so load I can't hear the person across from me and that gives this a 1 star, wish there was a zero. this was the worst breakfast places ever. I don't understand why people like this place.

It’s our first time to visit Salt Lake City. Our Airbnb owner recommended the area and we randomly found this place. Super super super nice staff. Every single one brings the good energy. We have our dog with us so we asked for the patio seating. Super busy but everyone was super patient and nice. We had the egg breakfast and U Boyz omelette. The corn beef is just simply perfect and delicious. And I should say the size of the food is really big!!!

The food is amazing! This sandwich had an amount of bacon that can only be described as disrespectful to my heart and vascular system. It was a lot of perfectly cooked bacon. The sandwich was crispy like a grilled cheese, with soft delicious bread. The hashbrowns could have had more seasoning, but were a good compliment to a bacon-laden sandwich. Even though the place was packed at 9:30am, I still got my food within 7 minutes of placing the order. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was clean and very well maintained, though small. Highly recommend!

Great breakfast spot with a cute ambiance. Love the food. All your breakfast classics! I had a healthy meal of cottage cheese, eggs, avocado and bacon and I was full. A peaceful morning amidst a full bustling restaurant. There are Star Wars posters and different currencies decorated on the wall by the ceiling. I looked across the table at my breakfast companion. He had a full breakfast plus french toast and biscuits and gravy. He looked like he was in heaven. He fed me one bite of his French toast, indeed it was delicious. The room was bright, the servers friendly. Grab a salt water taffy on the way out.

Another great breakfast/brunch place in SLC. They had a pancake sandwich with eggs & bacon on the inside!!! As someone who loves the mix of sweet & savory it was perfect they did give me a free bowl of bananas for my baby and she enjoyed her breakfast too! Music was great, they played Afro beats the whole time! The only thing I was seated outside on a somewhat cold day with a baby. In my opinion they shouldn’t have placed us outside in the first place even though they had those heaters. If I wanted to be seated inside it would be another 10-15 so I just stayed. The host was nice to check in every now and then to make sure we were ok

Reasonable prices and great potatoes, not many vegan/vegetarian options. I got the FTF with avocado subbed for the bacon. The park potatoes were really good — kind of like mashed potatoes with some structure, mixed with onion and some spices (and a lot of butter). The French toast was pretty good, but not in my top 5. They were kind of dry and didn’t have a ton of flavor, but they weren’t bad. Others at the table got the pancakes, they were big and thin looking, not sure how they taste. The eggs were eggs. If they made a vegan/vegetarian biscuits and gravy I would be really interested.

Excellent Place for Breakfast! One of the best places I’ve been to so far on my travels. Great atmosphere and great staff. Bilingual speakers are a plus and also the guy who helped us was very friendly and attentive. My Bronco Omelet was so tasty everything was well balanced and the veggies were fresh. My hot chocolate was great and French Toast was amazing as well. Definitely a must go if you are coming to Salt Lake City. I didn’t take more photos but I recommend it. Aloha from Maui, Hawaii. This cafe is definitely worth a stop. It was the only place I could find that opened before 7 (6 am). Our food and service were great. The place literally got packed within minutes of opening but never seemed to have a line. We got the granola with yogurt, shooter's sandwich on rye, vegan hash, coffee and orange juice. Highly recommend it! Love the contemporary meets classic diner decor. It is also directly across from the park, offering a nice view. They have a patio, but it wasn't open when we were there (chairs/tables stacked up).

This is a top rated place in the Salt Lake area and I can see why. You can have a nice breakfast with a view of the park. The Michigan hash was a huge meal for me to finish. The potatoes cooked in with the green peppers, onions, and sausage gave it good flavour. The potatoes could have been cooked a little longer but that’s a personal preference. The omelette was also good, very cheesy and stuffed with as much ham as possible. 3.9/5 in terms of food. Service and location bump this place up. Get here early because the line up for this place gets quite lengthy early on.

  • Chris Schendel

What an awesome breakfast location. Located in a nice neighborhood on the outskirts of town. The staff were amazing. Super welcoming, friendly, and very service minded. Got a refill on the coffee from multiple employees and was checked in on frequently. Food was super fast and very tasty. Big portions as well. I got the mushroom and cheese omelet and had sausage links added. The house potatoes were great! I didn’t ask so it’s on me, but would have loved a little more crunch with the potatoes. 100% be coming back here when I’m down in this part of town!

  • Kyle Hackmeister

First off, the atmosphere here is awesome. Sitting on the patio with the park across the street made me feel like I was on vacation. Everything we got here was absolutely delicious! The special was eggs benedict and they were cooked perfectly with a masterful hollandaise sauce and served with some amazing potatoes. My wife had the corned beef hash which had some choice corned beef. We had a side of French toast which was perfect and a bowl of fruit which was fresh. Treat yourself and enjoy a beautiful, cool morning with a great meal in a chill setting.

Delicious! Haven’t had a good B&G all year being away and this definitely took care of my craving! The biscuits were a bit dense and heavy but that was their style I guess. The sausage gravy was rich and incredibly tasty. All the other plates ordered were fresh and good. The service was perfect and smiles all around

Awesome breakfast place. The hash was delicious as was the omelet. We switched our sides for the gluten free pancake, which was so tasty and had great consistency. The hot chocolate was so good. A bit of a long wait on a Sunday during brunch, which was to be expected, but once we were seated, the service was attentive and quick. The food came out hot and we were never in want of anything. Looked for a breakfast place to grab some food before we left town and headed back home. Saw the reviews and so we checked it out! It was pretty poppin in here for a Thursday morning!!! Fast and friendly service! My daughter for Gustavo’s burrito and I got the Michigan hash as well as we got a side of French toast. I realized when the food came out we went overboard with the French toast! Lots of delicious food for a good price! This place did not disappoint at all.

We had an awesome brunch here recently. The food is really good and you need to expect a wait. I think we waited an hour. It was well worth it. All servers were kind and very helpful. They serve coffee while you wait so it’s easy going. I really enjoyed the pancakes and they hit the spot that day. I always recommend sharing with everyone when I eat out and this place is perfect for that. Their corn beef was off the chain good. That is a must.

Had brunch at this place a few hours ago and I am still so full. Portions and prices were just right. I got the bases loaded which comes with steak, mashed potatoes, eggs and buttered toast. Very tasty but I just wished there was some gravy or steak sauce. I tried other things on the menu that my daughters and our friend ordered and everything had good flavor. I think my favorite was the B&G. Lovely experience and would definitely go back.

Such a cute and nice breakfast spot. Visited here on a Sunday morning. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived, about 10 -15 minutes. I liked that they offered a complimentary cup of coffee outside while you're waiting. They offer inside and outside seating. The food portions are very generous. Nice little hippie Cafe right across from a Park (I know, right?). Yummy breakfast dishes served lightning fast. Plus some killer Star Wars retro art on the wall. It gets crazy crowded here sometimes I am told. We ended up with no wait, which was sweet. The portions are pretty decent and the crowd was pretty relaxed. They do accommodate gluten free which is always job one in my book. Definitely recommend
