Absolutely beautiful building in downtown Nashville. We were traveling as a family (two adults and two children) and we had plans to visit this place! Shall we say we liked it? No! We were impressed!!! We arrived at Centennial Park early in the morning and parked in the parking lot right next to the Parthenon. It is free for visitors. Exactly at 9.00 am the doors to the wonderful world of Ancient Greece were opened to us. We paid $28 for admission ($10 per adult, $8 per child, children under 2 years old free). This temple is a replica of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece. The temple is dedicated to the ancient Greek goddess Pallas Athena. It's no wonder why a replica of this temple was built in Nashville, Tennessee, since Nashville is called the "Athens of the South." So inside the Parthenon you will find a huge statue of Pallas Athena with the goddess Nike in her hand; all kinds of parts of statues with which temples were decorated; various household items; medallions; art exhibition; several corners for children with interactive games. A very educational and beautiful place. Especially when you realize that many centuries ago people without technology could build such magnificent structures. Be sure to visit this place! Children will not be bored there and adults too)

The Parthenon in Nashville is an absolute must-visit! Nestled in the beautiful Centennial Park, this stunning replica of the original Parthenon in Athens is a testament to architectural excellence. From the moment you approach the towering columns, you're transported to ancient Greece. Inside, you'll find the 42-foot-tall statue of Athena Parthenos, an engineering marvel in itself. The attention to detail is remarkable. What sets this attraction apart is its serene setting within the park. The surrounding gardens are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. It's a wonderful place to unwind and soak in some culture while in the heart of Music City. The stalls in the garden sells amazing Lemonade, Sorbet, and Shaved Ice. I always have ‘Old Fashion’ Lemonade from the ‘Pucker Hut’ lemonade stall every time I visit here. The Parthenon is a symbol of Nashville's rich cultural diversity, and whether you're a history enthusiast, an art lover, or just a curious traveler, you'll find something to appreciate here. Don't forget your camera – this is a spot you'll want to capture and remember! ️ Overall, a true gem in Nashville that combines art, history, and natural beauty. Highly recommended for all ages.

The Parthenon in Nashville is a true gem of a replica, capturing the grandeur and beauty of the original in Greece. Nestled in Centennial Park, this architectural marvel transports you to ancient Athens. The meticulous attention to detail in its construction is awe-inspiring, from the colossal Athena Parthenos statue to the Doric columns. Walking through the grand entrance, you're immediately enveloped in the rich history and culture it represents. The art gallery within is a treasure trove of classical art, adding depth to your visit. The lush park surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for photos and a leisurely stroll. Visiting the Parthenon is an enriching experience, offering a profound connection to the past. It's a must-see attraction in Nashville that will leave you with a sense of wonder and appreciation for the enduring legacy of ancient Greece!

A magnificent replica of the building in Greece (I’ve been to it). Seeing it as it might have been with the lost Athena was amazing. The park surrounding it was very clean. Plenty of parking for a weekday visit. Going early on a Tuesday morning meant no crowds. Better for taking your own photos out on the steps. A small gift shop with the usual assortment of t shirts, color photos and logo items. Reasonable prices. The interior exhibits were interesting - adult focused. The permanent artwork exhibit is quite varied. I would not bring young children and expect them to appreciate the paintings. The other exhibit was photography; massive black and white images of faces and landscapes. Some almost disturbing. The artist ( I don’t recall the name) is quite talented. Check ahead for what is on display.

The Parthenon was built in 1897 as the Athens of the South for the TN Expo representing the numerous colleges locally such as Vanderbilt. It is an exact replica of the Parthenon in Greece and simply magnificent! If you have not visited you simply must. The inside is beyond incredible with the statue of Athena as the main attraction. She is just lovely! The outside is used for Weddings, Soccer games, Picnics, Walking your Fur baby;) The Park is very nice with the water and being able to take children and feed the ducks also. (REMEMBER No bread! only bite size pieces such as oats, lettuce, rice and sweet corn.) This is worth visiting more than once! The park is free outside as well as parking. There is a charge for inside. Adults are $10, Seniors and children $8, Babies Free.

I never knew this place existed in Nashville but it’s an incredible experience to be able to step back in time and see the Greek Parthenon built to scale with amazing detail, complete with a golden statue of Nike and Athena. I’m a fan of history and architecture and this was a great find. For $10 admission cost, it’s absolutely worth the price of admission to experience it. The scale of the statue alone is incredible when you take a moment to realize that the small figure in Athena’s hand is 6’4” tall! We got there from Broadway on Old Town Trolley that drops you off right at the front of the Parthenon. We didn’t spend too much time in the museum itself but there’s more to see here for those interested. Recommended and photos don’t do it justice. Go see it in person!

Wow! Just wow! Admission is only $10 a person to go inside. The building itself is the world's only exact replica of the temple in Greece. The outside alone is beautiful! Inside you will find a statue of Athena. It's it unreal to see the size of her statue inside upstairs. The grounds where The Parthenon are are also beautiful. A lake, benches, paths, and other statues and monuments are there. We used the Old Town Trolley hop on hop off trolley tour to get to places like this that weren't within walking distance of our hotel. It saved us driving and parking. Although, I believe parking is free here. Very happy to see this place. Add it to your list of stops while visiting Nashville! Tickets can only be purchased on site.

I had fun at the Parthenon today. I finally had the chance to go. Honestly, I had no idea that this gem was waiting for us to visit. The Athena statue is breathtaking. Eight years it took to make. Wonderful detail and amazing craftsmanship. The art on display is pleasant to behold. There are artifacts on display from 1897. I'm glad I got to see this piece of history. It was a treat. Parking is odd to navigate, but we had no problem finding a spot, and it was free. You could take kids if you want to, but they might get bored. I find this place affordable, had very little lines, and you can by entry on the spot. I recommend you check it out if you have an afternoon.

If you live nearby, purchasing a membership is highly recommended. At just $10 per adult or $25 for a membership, two adults gain entry. Throughout the year, the gallery showcases a variety of talented artists. The main permanent exhibit features Athena, adorned with real 23.75 karat gold. The membership offers great value and an opportunity to appreciate exquisite artwork all year round. A must for art enthusiasts and lovers of fine craftsmanship. The Nashville Parthenon is located in the middle of Centennial Park. That review to follow. Wait till you see those pics!

Wow. I've seen the real thing, and now this one. I mean, the real thing took my breath away. This one is amazing. I didn't get to go inside. We were there on an off day, but we did walk around it. It is still amazing to me that the original was built so far back in time. This one is an exact replica. So even in modern times, this is still great architecture. The detail in the pillars and in the whole structure is absolutely amazing. I can't imagine how this one was built. I read the history and I recommend you do the same. It's interesting what the original place looked like during the fair. They did a lot of redesigning and reconstruction to complete this replica. It is very well done.

Absolutely stunning, willl take you back and leave you awestruck. The detail and sure size of Athena and the Parthenon is somethinh to behold. My entire party enjoyed visiting. Parking is out front and entrance is behind. Cute souvenir shop grabbed a coin and magnet. Lots of photograph art, historic photo of its transition from before it was to where it is today is super interesting. Worth a visit for sure another must see in Nashville! The park it is in is cool to walk take pictures or go on a date. They give military discount on tickets.

This place is amazing !! Before you go to Greece and see the Parthenon, you need to go here first .. if you have gone to Greece and seen the Parthenon, then you need to come to Nashville and see the Parthenon here !!! Everything will be so much clearer to understand what it took to build it .. and this place is totally awesome.. and it's so clean and so well taken care of . Hats off to Nashville, and a job well done . It's hard to believe that this was built in the early 1900s and looks pristine like it was built a few years ago ...

This place is amazing. We come here often. It is great to just walk around outside. You don't even have to go inside to enjoy the majesty of the place. Now, the inside is impressive and totally worth going into. The history of how the Parthenon came to be in Nashville is astonishing. Greek mythology will always have a pull on the modern world, but standing in front of that massive state of Athena will always amaze. I feel like I learn something new every time I go. Check it out, definently a hidden gem of Nashville.

I have read about this I've passed Nashville many times before and I'd tell myself one day I'd see this and I did. Let's start out with the good. Great location with enough parking for a two hour or so outing. The park has plenty of grassy areas for dogs, picnicking, biking jogging etc. I was there on a Monday 3 pm October 1st. The ticket to go inside of Parthenon is only $10 so pretty cheap. Now the bad The statue of Athena was a replica yes I get it. But in a world class city you'd expect something more "true to life" . Unfortunately it was very much like comparing a carnival fiberglass statue to something from Disney.

  • Dining with the de la Vegas de la Vega

Went to one of the candlelight concert series. A string quartet performing. It was a low light setting, of course, thus the photos that are not so great. But the concert was great and we enjoyed it. They performed at the feet of the Statue of Athena. It was not as romantic as I had hoped it would be, because we were sitting in rows, in hard fold up seats, but that was just my incorrect expectations of it being romantic not having been to one before. It was definitely a good night.

Visiting the Parthenon was a great unexpected experience. The building looks really cool in contrast with all the modern construction in Nashville and it houses a museum with interesting art and the history of its construction for the celebration of the centennial. The most impressive part for me was the main atrium with the Athena statue. The size and level of detail are mesmerizing. All in all a fun affordable way to enjoy a city that has lots to offer.

In town from Oregon for work and was looking for things to experience in Nashville in the evenings. This was my FAVORITE stop. Free audio tour outside on your phone if you want or just $10 to go inside for tour which is WELL worth it. The gift shop was so cute and the staff was very friendly. I loved sitting on the bench out front listening to the museum curator explain the architecture- it was a nerds dream come true. HIGHLY reccomend

Stunning architecture and a beautiful gallery inside. Definitely check this out if you are a greek myth fan, architecture buff, or live art and history. The replica of Athena inside is crazy to see. There are a few other sculptures as well that are so well crafted. The tickets are just $10, and they provide a discount for teachers and the military. It's in the middle of a park, so there are lots of places to sit and just take it all in.

I liked the experience. The art exhibit was okay this go around but I hear these are changed regularly. There wasn't a lot of space in the initial areas where the story of this Parthenon replica is talked about. Because of that I felt like I was pushing people through the halls or them me. The big reveal on the second floor is the best part, along with a lot of the facts. For $10 it's well worth the visit. Also, set aside about 30-40 minutes to go over the audio tour outside (there are symbols on the ground to scan).

  • J Ryan

It's interesting. I'm into history, especially very ancient things. I like to see these things. This entire place is an homage to The Parthenon and while it's very fun to see, you don't get the same feeling you feel when you're standing in front of something that's 3,000yrs old. Very cool regardless and had a great time checking everything out, looking at the art and all the recast statues.

I find it interesting that a replica of the Parthenon ️ was built in Nashville of all places. Very neat to see! It’s amazing what human kind could build with basic tools and basic technology so many years ago. We enjoyed visiting! We will have to go to Greece one day to see the original Parthenon. Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! First visited in July 2015 and went inside the museum, entrance at the lower area. This time around, the line was a bit long and walked around the area instead, and lots more people hanging around, breakdancing, as well as taking photos. Still an interesting point of interest to check out if you have an hour or so to spare as it is a replica of the original Parthenon in Athens.

What a fun experience! We have wanted to come here for a while and finally had the chance. The building is incredible inside and out. Further, the history of the whole area was facinating. It is such a good thing that the Parthenon was saved and restored. The museum was only $10 per person and was well worth it. Seeing the giant (41' tall) Athena sculpture was incredible. This a well managed and well designed place. What a great experience for people of all ages.

The Parthenon's beauty is nothing short of awe-inspiring. The way it captures the gaze and commands the attention of everyone nearby is truly remarkable. This modern replica of an ancient masterpiece stands as a testament to pure craftsmanship. When I stand in its presence, it leaves me with a profound appreciation for the artistry and architectural genius of those who built it. It's a timeless symbol of beauty and cultural heritage.

Spectacular full-sized replica of the Parthenon. I overheard a little girl gasp as she walked into the Athena exhibit and saw the giant statue. The displays explain how modern artists chose the design and colors of the replica artwork and point out ways the decor has updated as they’ve learned more about the original. Speaking of updates, museum employees added a hands on model of the Antikythera device while I was there. Very interesting.

$10 for adults and you get to walk inside and see Athena, she’s very cool. Lots of nice art inside as well. Educational information on how they made the replicas. Rude girl with nose rings in the gift shop though. She asked if I wanted to keep my receipt and I said no thank you and she slams her hand on the counter and crumples it up and throws it away with an attitude?? So weird, but I enjoyed my visit nonetheless.

I’ve been to the Parthenon in Athens and it’s incredible to see that historic building but… it’s falling apart… To be able to see a to-scale replica of that amazing building was so fun and I enjoyed everything about my time there. Apart from the tourists who didn’t seem to think it was necessary to move from sitting in the center of the steps… I love history and recommend this place to anyone.

  • Jade Roesler

I spent about an hour and a half reading and viewing the items in the Parthenon. There were interactive exhibits, nice art, and looking at the sculptures and particularly Athena is a sight that can’t be put into words. The customer service was great! Gift shop has something for everyone and at tourist prices. 4.5/5 stars because I wish it didn’t smell like a Greece-y fart the whole time.

  • Kara Citarella

This replica is very cool! Especially since I’ve visited the original Parthenon in Athens. You can tour the outside without having to go inside if you just want to enjoy the columns. It’s $10 for adults and $8 for children under the age of 17 to go inside and see the Athena statue. I thought there would be more, but it’s mostly just the statue and some cool art. Still enjoyable though!

Not really a replica of the Parthenon- the Greek Parthenon is built out of white marble while this one is cheap concrete. Big difference between the two. A nice idea though and attempt for a replica.

I didn't go in this time, however it's amazing i've been in there before. I spent the day walking around enjoying the beautiful view of the parthenon at centennial park. The pond was beautiful. More

The Parthenon exceeded my expectations with art, history and community. The 41 foot Athena statue and ENORMOUS Parthenon are a 1:1 scale of the real destination in Greece. Good job Nashville! More

Nice replica. The ruins in Greece have been destroyed and robbed of artifacts so this full scale replica gives you an idea of the grandeur you would experience in Greece if everything was intact.

This place is great. It is great to just walk around outside or picnic on the lawn. There is so much to see inside and out. Just a great green space mixed into a big city.

Very interesting to see and in a marvellous park. Free app to listen to is great way to learn about the structure and sculptures. More

Loved the feel of being there. Yes, it's a replica, with great presence. Enjoyed the art gallery in the lower level.
