Adding a star because this is partially my fault for last-minute booking. However, I’ve been coming here off and on since I first went to the North Portland location and it’s always been reliable. I booked a portlander, which is a 30 min service, I’ve had this service before. The esthetician spent 20 minutes on the service and then said “okay you’re all done” and immediately left the room. Right away I realized the job was SO messy and uneven, but she had left the room with such a swiftness I didn’t have the opportunity to ask for it to be corrected. I have had many of these types of services and I have always had the esthetician ask about any adjustments before ending the service. I have thick hair and it’s not uncommon for me to have shorter hairs that don’t pull and I’m never upset by that. However, (without getting too graphic) I was left with certain areas completely removed on one side and untouched on the other. If the client sits well, don’t rush them out the door with an unfinished service! Honestly upset I spent $90 for something I’m going to have to fix at my own expense. Hate to say I likely won’t be back. :/

I had an incredible facial at The Portland Girl. The staff was very knowledgable and the experience was very relaxing and cathartic. Just had my first experience with sugaring yesterday with Ashley, and wow it was amazing. Getting a full Brazilian done was naturally a little (jk VERY) daunting, in terms of what I've heard about it being painful and just the vulnerability of it... Ashley made me feel so comfortable and did an incredible job with pain management; she applied counter pressure to waxed areas to alleviate pain. I also appreciate the level of conversation to keep me distracted. I wanted to get this done before going to Mexico on Monday, as I'm 7 months preggo and can't even see what the heck is going on around my bikini line. Well now I feel like million bucks and am feeling confident putting on a bikini for my trip. So happy I finally made an appt for this service and already booked my next appt with Ashley because she is a saint!

I have been using Portland Girl services for 8-10 years for lip and chin hair removal. The staff have always been friendly, courteous and skilled at their job.They have a very well thought out protocol for booking their clients. If you must cancel an appointment they clearly state the terms for doing so. I have utmost respect for the owner's business acumen as she has juggled the challenges of covid, changing locations and the inevitable hiring and training of new employees. I am sure that like with a duck there is much activity I'm not privy to which is how it should be. I only see a smoothly operating business that I have come to rely upon and wish many more years of continued success.

Came to Portland Girl for sugaring before a beach trip. The staff was extremely welcoming and kind. The shop is really cute and comfortable. It was my first time with sugar vs. wax. I wasn't sure what to expect since it'd been a long time since my last waxing, but this experience was quite pleasant, I mean for the most part, any kind of hair removal is not going to feel amazing but this was tame compared to other waxing services I've had in the past. Christy was very patient and kind and made the experience so much better. I highly recommend her when going in for sugaring! I won't go back to waxing either, the results are so much better and it lasts longer.

I went to the Portland Girl and did sugaring for the first time! Very successful. Clean and beautiful location. Wonderful staff! Definitely will go back At last visit, I bought their moisturize cream called ‘hella hydration’. It’s meant for the face and it says it can be used on eczema and other skin conditions. I used it for a few a few days on the eczema patches on my legs and it was a miracle! The redness is gone, the dryness and flaky skin! I have tried so many things and nothing has ever worked as quickly as this!!! Thank you!!!!

I’ve been going to The Portland Girl for about the past 15 months for sugaring of my bikini area. The shop is elegant, clean, and hip. I LOVE the flexibility of online booking! That’s the reason I originally went there. It’s soooo convenient! For my service, I get a cross between the Bushwacker and the Portlander. They’re really flexible and willing to do whatever I need. It’s really nice. The sugaring is quick and relatively low pain. The technicians are professional and friendly and so helpful! I highly recommend this salon!!

The Portland Girl has been my go to Studio for sugaring and facial services for about 3 years now. Recently, I started seeing Sarahi for bikini sugaring and let me tell you--she has TALENT. I'm not sure how she does it, but the service is nearly **painless**, quick, comes out perfectly and lasts a long time! She's also a sweetheart and so wonderful to talk to. All the staff here has been fantastic over the years and I will continue to be a client for years to come!

I am never disappointed in my sugaring experience at The Portland Girl. I’ve been coming regularly for almost a year now and can’t recommend it enough. I've seen Savannah in the past and really loved her! This past time I saw someone new, Ashley C. and she was JUST as wonderful! It's great to know that overall feel there is congruent through their staff! I have very sensitive skin and the after care package is amazing and I never have felt so smooth with zero irritation! This was my first facial in...a VERY long time. Vi was my esthetician and she was absolutely lovely. She was communicative and gathered what I needed out of the experience down to if I wanted her to walk through each step and product with me or let me relax and wait until the end. The facial was amazing. It's currently only one day after, but I can see and feel the difference and already booked another appointment.

I had a great facial with Savannah! She has. Anice ambience in her room and she's very calm and knowledgeable. I've seen her twice now and would go every month if my checkbook would allow. The main thing I focus on for skin is redness, and anti-aging. I feel like my skin looks great for a few days after a facial.
