Overall rushed experience as I entered the spa. Very strange being an escape from the hustle of a 9-5 job. The staff was overbearing and borderline invasive, I was not pleased with my 384.00 experience. (The staff all but shoved me in a locker as i arrived.) From there I had 3 seperate women yell (not exaggerating at all!) in my “relaxation area” other women’s names- “Jackie! Jackie! Jackie! (I was only woman in the room) Are you Jackie?!” I replied “I sure hope not, I’d be deaf if so. You shouted her name over 10 times lol.” The other 2 staff members did the same thing with other women’s names. This was all but relaxing. As far as the massage went- the masseuse seemed confused. She began at my feet and spent 5 minutes on my back. The rest of the time she skipped around my hands and toes and neck as if my toes and finger tips are trouble areas? She even oiled up and massaged my face? I found this peculiar. All with very light pressure. I had come here years ago and truly enjoyed it. I hope they get the charm back they used to have. This overall day was a waste of money and quite disappointing.

My husband and I planned a trip to New Orleans and stayed at our favorite place, The Ritz Carlton. It was a rainy weekend so we decided to go to bed early and schedule an 80 minute deep tissue couple massage at 10. The Ritz charges about 10 times as much as anywhere else. I have had many massages. This was the worst massage I have ever received. What a waste of my morning! I got my skin moisturized. That's about it. My 8 year old could do better. My husbands experience wasn't great either. We ended up telling the front desk and the girl acted like we just wanted something for free. They took 30 percent off. So we paid over 300 dollars to have our backs hurt worse and be extremely agrevated. You would think they would make sure that their employees were good at their job before hiring them at a 5 star facility.

Almost excellent today. Almost. The service was spot on, friendly, and attentive. The reception staff changed my service from a standard deep tissue massage to a muscle recovery massage when I checked in. The change was at my request because booking online was little off. Gabrielle performed the massage and did a top notch job. She was friendly and focused on my areas of concern. I actually felt energized afterwards. The muscle recovery massage is something I would do again. The men's showers have seen better days. I noticed mold / mildew growing on the ceiling of the last shower on the left. Also, the one multi -head shower stall they have has been out of order for at least the past several months. Neither these are acceptable conditions amd I hope they are remedied soon.

I visited the Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans Spa during Tales of the Cocktail, one of the roughest times for one's health. (It's all cocktails, all the time.) I was dehydrated, exhausted, and ready for a break. Walking in was like a breath of fresh air. I was led into the spacious locker room, given a tour of the lounge, and left alone with my fluffy bathrobe. Within a matter of minutes I had a mimosa and was lounging on a comfy chair, talking Seattle with one of the other guests. The service was impeccable. We picked a facial that matched my skin needs, and dealt with my sensitivities. The aesthetician invited me to relax, and I did. I left feeling like I could take on the day again - and maybe grab one more cocktail.

Great in every way! My wife and I were at the Ritz Carlton in New Orleans for our honeymoon recently. When i called ahead to confirm our services and time, the people on the phone were helpful, warm, and friendly! When we arrived for our 100 minute couples massage, everyone was very welcoming! The facilities were nice and clean! The massage was great! Perfect pressure! I am certain i fell asleep a couple times! The masseuses were great at what they do! We will definitely return to the Ritz spa and definitely recommend it! The Ritz itself is a friendly oasis in the middle of a busy and fun New Orleans!

The hotel layout was a little strange due to the unique nature of the location, but once I adapted it was fine. Overall the amenities were great and like other Ritz experiences, the room was comfortable and made me feel welcome and invited. The staff were helpful and pleasant as would easily be taken for granted if not for their willingness to accommodate me with answers or services above and beyond what is generally required. The location is sufficiently close to activities that they are accessible, but far enough away that you aren't burdened the bustle of the french quarter.

My wife and I had a couples message, overall the facilities were good however I had a very different experience to my wife. Her masseuse was great and gave an amazing message but my masseuse gave a very average massage at best. The scalp reviver ad on was a head scratch not a massage, my hairdresser gives better scalp massages. Overall it is was a good spa but very dependent on the masseuse you get. Management would do well to try and maintain the same standard for all masseuses.

I am so so disappointed with what I experienced today. My massage therapist was Star, the front desk lady told me she was “the best” as I had asked to be please be with someone who was amazing at deep tissue. She did nothing but rub me down. If she is “the best” then this is very sad. I wasted $250 today and am not happy at all. I’m still disturbed thinking about my experience this morning. I would not recommend Star nor the front desks judgement.

Very elegant, however very dated and a poor representation of the current community and soul of New Orleans. Reminds me of the Ritz in San Francisco and that is not a compliment. It's time for the Ritz-Carlton to invest in images that illuminate the beauty and diversity of America now, not antebellum, post European enlightenment idealized portraits of individuals who do not represent our country in 2021 and beyond.

I was very disappointed with the quality of service at this spa. I was scheduled for an 80 min facial that was so enticingly described in the spa menu. However, it consisted of nothing more than a little steam and apply a moisturizer with a few extra strokes. Most of the time was spent massaging my back and hands. I was left very confused and paid an exuberant amount of money for a poor quality service.

The best massage ever at the Spa located inside Ritz-Carlton New Orleans. The little detailed steps they take in the massages like warm towels to cover your eyes and the hydraulic bed just changes the game! The newly renovated shower room with steam and sauna is also a must try. There are ice towels topped with cucumbers to be used after. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

I had a wonderful day today at the Ritz Carlton Spa. Everyone was very sweet and tried to make sure I had a wonderful experience. Star gave a great massage and Maria was wonderful. I look forward to returning. My beautiful daughter gave me a gift certificate for my birthday for an eighty minute massage. The last time I was at the spa was her wedding. I can't wait to return.

The pool was not available, so that was disappointing, but the service provided by Andrea and my massage therapist (I forgot his name but he was great) made up for it. The environment was clean and comfortable and as a massage therapist at a 5 star resort and frequent traveler/massage receiver, this has been some of the best service I have ever received!

  • david john

perfect location in this great city for a sales meeting! so close to bourbon street and all the downtown action, the ambience of a top-notch hotel in a top-notch southern venue, friendly, comfy, elegant and luxurious...and the food? OMG the best ever. make a beeline to the ritz and be treated like a king(or queen!) thank you to all, we'll be back!

Overrated and overpriced. We got the Voodoo Ritual massage, I wouldn't recommend it….not worth the extra money above a normal relaxation massage. Don’t get me wrong, the LMTs were great and the massage was good, but not worth $300. I could’ve got the same level of service for half the price. Save yourself some money and go somewhere else.

  • Eric

This spa experience was completely overpriced. Most importantly, the massages that my father-in-law and I got were barely mediocre. For the price and considering the reputation of the Ritz, we expected much better. The amenities that you look forward to when visiting such a spa were okay. The service was also just okay.

  • Jackie Rico

Had a great spa day here! My husband surprised me with a spa day here! I got a Untimate radiance & renewal facial, Hot River stone massage, Ultimate manicure and Ultimate pedicure here The service and Staff were wonderful! It was a great way to recover after mardi gras!

Highly recommended Spa experience in the musical city of New Orleans. Natural Born Miracle Makers recommended. Read and use our books covering The practical uses of the Law of Attraction and manifest the same great experiences for Your Self

  • Ashlyn Pidgeon

Super expensive. Amenities were great, got to use the hot tub, and wet and dry saunas, place was clean. Facial was great, massage was $250 of worthless poking, talking, poking, talking…. And definitely not deep tissue.

  • Kayla Hunt

Waste of time and money. I paid $200 to get rubbed down with lotion. Sooooo disappointed. I was REALLY needing a massage. I had to tell her multiple times to apply more pressure and nothing changed.

  • Lizabeth Lampkin

Outstanding cleanliness....House keepers have A beautiful attitude...Spa is amazing along with house keep/ although the women @ front desk entrance of spa attitude was unpleasant.

  • Nicholas Dintelmann

Wonderful facility. Spent all afternoon there. Couples massage was wonderful. Would recommend a longer massage, it flies by.
